What I mean by the above is, every now and again (twice in the last six days) I try to use the app but all I can see is a flat white screen. That leaves me having to delete the app altogether and then downloading it all over again.
In this world not a great inconvenience but annoying nevertheless.

For no reason at all it won’t let you onto your site. You log in and you get the Switch clubs page ….again and again. It’s like Groundhog Day. Try as I can it won’t loads. Absolutely dread having to go on this TOTALLY RUBBISH site. It just never behaves…..can someone please invent an alternative that works. Just spent an hour and half trying to get on I’ve given up now. I presume someone is making lots of dosh with the adverts …so.. CAN YOU PLEASE SORT YOUR SITE OUT 🙏🏻

Club V1 Banner issue

Since the release of version 2.2.3 there is an irritating bug where the notification banners seem to be incrementing with no reset even after being acknowledged. I get a club notification every morning with the course status which inside the App is noted as a single event which I then clear by reading it. However, when the next notification arrives the notification banner on the App just keeps incrementing rather than showing a single notification as it used to do. At the moment the notification banner on my App is now approaching 100 even though I reset it every morning. Reading the single message does clear the banner. It is as though the notification counter is not being correctly reset.

Errors with Apple devices using IOS 17

Since IOS 17 was introduced by Apple the Notifications once read are not clearing and as such build up day after day. Only solution offered by developers is to delete app and then re- install. Very annoying each day having notifications being repeatably displayed. Issue is transferred to HowDidiDo platform linked to this app so the multiple notification are showing on both.

This app is fairly functional and allows me to look at stuff from my golf club account which is useful but there are just too many bugs to warrant a higher rating. Annoying things like banners which direct you to news but when you click on them the app tries to open but never quite does. And then when you open the app independently you have to search for the full information you’ve been served a snippet of in your notifications. Very time consuming and I tend not to bother now. Shame because it has potential.

Over the last couple of years I have used this app and found it confusing, un-intutive and annoyingly unreliable. Booking a time is especially poor and frequently crashes and I have to start again. Very annoying when trying to book a popular time. I am now unable to making any bookings on one of my clubs whilst the facility is still operating for the others.

This app has amongst the least intuitive interfaces I’ve ever seen. I’ve had it for a year since joining a new club and am still at a loss as to how a number of functions works. It’s a great idea but a lousy design. The latest problem has arisen trying to pay my sub using Apple Pay, which you might think would work on a new generation iPhone. Apparently my phone and browser doesn’t support it. I’ve given up and gone the old fashioned route.

The bell icon for messages from your club is not working again. This was fixed some time ago but simply only works when it feels like it since the last update.
I can only presume that the app is not tested thoroughly after updating!

This app was supposedly meant to incorporate and supersede “How Did I Do” yet some four years later the two increasingly clunky apps don’t work well together. There have been no significant updates despite iOS changing annually and it’s often difficult to navigate while refreshing for competition booking deadlines often lead to non-responsive screens.

The latest update of the app has so many bugs and errors in it. It is no longer intuitive.
It is more complex than the last issue particularly for booking competitions.
If you are booking into a competition with an entry fee and optional charges it does not tell you what the cost is unless the organiser has added this to the details screen which is hidden behind a small info icon.

On both my iPad and iPhone the BRS link will not open, both are on v15.1. My wife’s devices are v15 and seem ok, currently I can’t book any casual golf without a phone call. Our club has moved to this app. Like others have said, it doesn’t cope well with multiple users trying to book as soon as the booking window opens for slots 7 days in advance. Crashes, generates errors, all the slots say “booking in progress”, unable to open any slots, logged me out then wouldn’t let me log back in again, same name in more than one booking. It took 45 minutes to make a booking. As an app it’s a nice idea but I’m not looking forward to having to use this going forwards.

During COVID our club started using this system to book tee times. More often than not you get the white blank screen when trying to access the app. I’ve tried it on my iPhone X and on my iPad Pro numerous time and I’ve lost count of the amount of times you can’t get logged on, just the white screen.
Clearly there is an issue and many other members at our club are experiencing the same so it’s either the ClubV1 app cannot take the volume of users accessing it at the same time or it’s poorly supported and bugs are not resolved...not a great experience.
I long for the days where we no longer have to use this system to book tee times.

There are certain things that I love about this app. Being able to sign in to (and pay for) competitions, record scores and monitor leaderboards, het automatically notified of the course status in the morning and an overview of handicap and membership account in one place - these are the plus points. The BIG negative, however, are the spurious messages received throughout the day giving the course status for past days. Over the weekend, 6 messages were received only 2 of which were relevant. Once this is fixed, and surely it can’t be too difficult to fix, I would happily give the app 5 stars; until then, it gets only 3 stars

When logging into the and attempting to link to club, I get the following error message;
“Unable to Link Account
Unfortunately it was not possible to link your account to a hub at this time.
Reason: Unable to locate person using supplied email address”
I’ve ensured with HowDidiDo that I am linked to the correct club and my Passport credentials are the same. I believe my club has contacted V1 to ask for assistance but as far as they were concerned there was no issue.
I’ve also emailed their “support” team through the website. The first time I received a reply almost immediately to ask what club I am attempting to link to to which I replied and since then I haven’t heard a peep, this is despite two follow up emails.
I can only assume it’s perhaps the details the club has given V1 that’s the cause for the issue here, but as they’re not prepared to help me, I’ll never know.

Our club have recently moved to the CLUBV1 system, and I have to say the members app is great. Way to use and gives members direct access to their club account for Competition Results and Competition Booking. We also book times outside comps and this is working well too.
It allows me to top up my bar card and see any transactions from the club(albeit we haven’t had chance to do any transactions yet) however I have topped my card up.
My handicap certificate and other information is there, along with the club diary showing when all competitions and events are.

This is a great app which allows me to do everything I want to do for my golf. I can book competitions, get results and also view matchplays! The ability to top up my bar card is excellent and very simple to use and appears on my balance almost instantly. Viewing transactions allows me to keep up to date with just how much I’ve spent (if I want to) and get copy receipts if I need them!

As previous review: this app is fantastic, WHEN it’s working! There are many occasions when there’s only a blank screen, or the app logs you out. Response times can be slow. Notifications can be sent outside of times that the club website has been updated.
Today we have a blank, white screen; I’ve had the notification of a course update - just after I’d updated the club website, as is the norm - but can’t access the app! Frustrating for me and even more so for our members! Club Systems, you really need to address these issues - which are very much ongoing - instead of hoping they will fix themselves. A regular app update might be all that’s required!

Whilst the concept of combining several golf activities together (eg. tee time booking, competition tracking, membership card funds, linking to How-did-I-do) for golf club members might seem appealing, unfortunately this app falls woefully short in many aspects. Here are the 2 main issues that I have encountered over the last 12 months:
1. My club operates a process where weekend tee times become available at 7.30am 10 days beforehand - Club V1 clearly cannot cope with a high volume of users logging on at the same time, as it grinds to halt, presents “server error” messages and ultimately makes it nigh on impossible to book a tee time.
2. The app constantly logs me out stating there are “cookie problems”. This is very inconvenient and is a problem that I have never encountered with any other apps. Even if you tick the “remember me” box when logging in, the app does not remember you! It is also the only app that I know of that does not appear to work with the iCloud Keychain or with my separate password app.
In short, it is a complete pain in the ****! If your club is considering using the Club V1 system, I urge you to think very carefully, unless you are sadistic and want to cause grief and stress for your members.

This is probably one of the worst apps I have ever used. I’ve reloaded twice in the past week alone and when it is working it regularly crashes when a number of people try to book tees when booking opens for Saturday mornings.
You have to scroll right through all the competitions set up to get to the calendar to select a non comp date. You can’t see the tee sheet bookings if you’re not eligible for a particular competition ie ladies can’t see the entrants in a men’s competition.
It’s clunky when booking tees. It crashes & the design is poor.

This is a good app, when it works. I also experienced the issues of July 6th but this is not the first time I have experienced the identical issue - slow or no response and multiple requests to log in. Hugely frustrating and as my Club has recently migrated to your platform, has created negative feelings from the membership

Used this app for some months now. So much better than the HDID app - no adverts! Easy to book into competitions and see what times you have booked. Also great to see the results from the comps. Now using the knockout feature and club teams feature. Only think I’d like to know is what the notifications is for as there is never any. Also the members list has so many names of people who are not members anymore.
