The best screen mirroring app for Panasonic TV!
Application to mirror the screen of your iPhone or iPad to any Panasonic Smart TV. No wires and no additional hardware needed! You can mirror any app on your iPhone or iPad to your Panasonic TV.
Please enable DMR (Digital Media Renderer) in TV Settings: WIth your remote control, go to: Menu / Setup / Network / Application / DMR: ON
This works on any Panasonic Smart TV from the 2012 models onward. For the latest Panasonic TV models, please enable DMR (Digital Media Renderer) in TV Settings: WIth your remote control, go to: Menu / Setup / Network / Application / DMR: ON
In using the app, there will be a couple of seconds of latency (usually between 1 and 3).
However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!
How the app works:
1. Make sure that your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same local network as your Panasonic TV.
2. Launch the Mirror for Panasonic TV app. It will start looking for your Panasonic TV(s) on your local network. When a TV is found, please select it. When you use this app for the first time, depending on your model Panasonic TV, the TV might ask you to "allow" the connection. In that case, take your TV Remote Control and press OK to allow the connection from your TV to your iPhone or iPad.
3. Turn on notifications for this app. We will not spam you, but we will use this to let you know if your TV is working correctly or not. So please, please allow it, otherwise when things don't work as they should, you are left in the dark.
4. Click on Start Mirroring to start mirroring on the TV that is currently selected. After that, you can just go to any other app on your iPhone or iPad and the mirroring just continues to run.
5. To stop mirroring, there are two options. (1) click on the red top bar that you will see on your iPhone or iPad. (2) Go to the Mirror for Panasonic TV app and click on Stop Mirroring.
Limitations and known issues:
DRM
Some apps block Screen Mirroring. This means that application developers can choose themselves if they want to block Screen Mirroring. For instance, Netflix, Disney and AppleTV+ have decided to block this.
There is a simple test that you can do to see if the app that you want to mirror has blocked Screen Mirroring:
Open that particular app and slide up Control Center on your iPhone/iPad. Then, click on Screen Recording and start recording the screen to your Camera Roll. Watch the app that you want to mirror and at some point stop the screen recording. Then go to your Photos app and watch the video that was recorded. If the recorded video shows the app you want to mirror, it works fine. If the video is empty, then the app you want to mirror does not allow Screen Mirroring.
You can purchase the Mirror for Panasonic TV Pro Version through an in app purchase.
The Pro Version has the following features:
1. Adds audio to the screen mirroring
2. Provides for free lifetime updates of the app
3. Gives the option to choose higher screen resolutions, like 720p and 1080p
* Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
* Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
* Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal.
* Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase.
* Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

In other words if you buy the Mac version the other licences are useless if you think you can use them on your iPhone or iPad.
Delays on streaming and sound delays on playback. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re just using the TV as a monitor for your laptop!

Tried this app as nothing else worked for streaming videos from a website to my TV via my iPhone. But this did. It’s important to ensure that you follow the instructions to set your TV up correctly and then it was easy to do from there. Relatively easy to set up , had to navigate the TV menu as directed by the app to turn on the mirroring system on my TV which actually worked as so often these things don’t and you are left not knowing what to do !
The system then put photos up onto the screen with great quality, however a small point, I could not select a automatic photo slide show , so you have to manually select each photo .
Also when I mirrored up a quiz game app the quality of the images was poor but just ok .
Overall good and let’s you sit in the chair to watch !

First tried Disney+ but it said there was an issue with the sound and to try connecting to the audio output directly. Thought it may be because it didn’t have sound so I paid for the subscription but the error still happens. On Netflix the video froze entirely.
Edit: In your response you admit that you know things like Netflix don’t work but don’t admit this anywhere on the app/web details. Why else would people be using this except to stream movies and tv shows. This is a complete scam.

This is very easy to set up and use. I recently had a problem with it dropping connection. I contacted support (which is the best support I have ever had contact with) and very quickly learned that all I needed to do was restart my tv and router. I can now mirror again. I think I know why they charge £4.99 upfront. If they gave a free trial period, 90% of users wouldn’t buy it - it works (after a fashion) but it’s a bit ‘meh’. What, seriously, would you need this app for?
I’ve read some of the other comments...quite a lot moan about their Panasonic TV being ‘incompatible’. This is because the instructions given for turning on the DRM are wrong, which is a bit worrying given the developers don’t seem to know basic stuff about the TV.

Had major issues mirroring my iPhone XR to my Panasonic TV (2020). Downloaded this app & I still had an issue. Support Team sorted it out in 5mins and responded quickly. My issue was common, I had my mirroring ON in my Panasonic settings which interferes with this app. Once I turned that off within my TV settings it worked straight away.

A friend set this up for me after I hadn’t understood other instructions - I am 75! All was well and the picture was great. Unfortunately he left before we tried the sound - big mistake! I could only get a crackling sound from the tv. I was not going to be beaten having got so far and wanting to watch a concert I had subscribed to. I contacted Customer Support - they answered immediately and were so helpful and again when I still didn’t get it right. As with many of the reviewers, I had been looking for a way to mirror my ipad to my Panasonic TV. This App was very quick to set up and worked immediately. Fantastic!!
Here’s a tip though-when I mirrored a programme, I had sound from both my ipad and my TV. Maybe I’m a bit stupid, but when I turned the sound down from the programme control screen (i.e. in the screen of what I was watching), adjusting the sound on my TV had no effect.
It took me a while, but then I realised that if I turned the sound down on my ipad (only), then the TV sound control worked.
Again, this is a fanstastic solution to a problem faced by many-excellent!!

I had some issues to mirror my tv, so I contacted Support. They were extremely helpful and managed to get everything sorted out in less than one hour. The app works very well and I feel very confortable that the support team is able to fix any issues

I had been looking for a way to mirror workouts from an App on my iPhone to my Panasonic TV for a larger, clearer view. After a bit of searching, I came across this App. Fantastic and so easy to use! It does exactly what I wanted it to do. There is a very slight delay between what’s showing on my phone and what appears on the TV screen but it makes no difference for the purposes I’m using it for. Highly recommended.

Could not get sound to cast from my iPhone to my tv, went on to FBook and messaged support , who sorted me out in 10 minutes, I had my tv going through a sound box, once I disconnected the hdmi cable it was perfect. Really decent app and looking forward to more development

I downloaded the app earlier today, but it could not find my Panasonic tv. Despite an exchange of five or six messages with customer support, and the exhausting of options the app still would not find the tv. I’ve given it three stars on the basis of first class customer support, but have requested a refund. Wish it had worked.

For several years been trying to find a solution to connect my iPad to the big smart tv. This is it. After extensive research...there is now no need for that exclusive and expensive Apple cable which is too short...apps that don’t deliver and cost the Earth...this app delivers!!! Was sceptical so I bought the Panasonic version just to see...and boy did it work within seconds and on both my TVs which were purchased about 4 years ago. Can’t rate this app highly enough. Best fiver spent in years. Bravo guys...not the Sony model haha.

Can’t watch Netflix of Disney

I bought this for the kids to watch Disney+ on as Panasonic do not allow you to download the Disney+ app unlike the Samsung in the front room. If you know what limitations the mirroring app has this needs to be stated from the beginning as I feel I have been mis sold on what the app’s capabilities are. Ideally I would delete the app and get my money back as who needs to see pictures and videos on their tele via an app. There’s lots of free ways to do this and also That’s what Apple TV is for.

The app picked up my Panasonic TV instantly. I was super impressed but thats where it stops. I have 100mb/s internet and super wifi, the app struggled to keep up with my iphone client and buffered in between losing clarity. I thought it might be ok to throw up a facetime call but forget it. I wanted the app to work, but unfortunately its not fit for purpose. If i had a hope in hell of getting my money back I’d ask for it.

I recently purchased the app from the AppStore as I had bought a new TV and hadn’t been able to mirror my phone screen before. At first my TV wouldn’t show up on the app to mirror my phone. I messaged my issue and the guys literally came straight back to me. With the current climate I was quite amazed how timely I had a response. Within a few minutes the issue was sorted. The app works extremely well and is very easy to use. Recommended 100%

At last I can now watch catch-up TV by mirroring my phone to my Panasonic Viera which is no longer supported by the big broadcasters. Brilliant piece of tech! If it could mirror WhatsApp then that would be perfect! Thank you very much to the developer.

I eventually decided to bite the bullet and spend a fiver. Pleased I did. It was very easy to set up and worked first time. Time will tell, but my first couple of experiences have been good.

I downloaded this app and had some initial problems getting it to work straightaway in my TV. I contacted app support and received excellent service support who helped me get it up and running. Everything done over FB messenger and responses were quick and easy to follow. I can highly recommend.

Doesn’t work for Disney+

I bought this app specifically to enable myself to watch Disney+ on my Panasonic TV. The app appears to work fine until you try to play the content on Disney+ at which point you get a black screen, visible controls and audio. If I disconnect the broadcast the picture kicks in fine. Very disappointed given the price
I would add that hiding critical information about the functioning of the app - especially at a time when many potential customers will be looking for an app to link Disney+ to their televisions is misleading to say the least. I think you should offer to refund such customers.

Fantastic app and works as advertised. I am only giving a 4 star review as I think if the lag could be further minimised it would be a better experience. Would let me work on the ipad much more easily and also wouldn’t be as distracting when playing videos.

We got this app to an able mum to see photos taken on iPad. The app continuously fails when going to main iPad screen. Also when we did manage to get it working as soon as a ‘live’ photo or video came on the app closed down. All very frustrating. Support were at first helpful however since sending diagnostic info and advising app still failing I have heard nothing else. Seems like a waste of £4.99 .........

Once downloaded, it was very easy to use and get connected to my tv. Even though I made an error the support from help desk was fantastic.

Apps working great. Had a few teething problems setting up, which was sorted after a couple emails to diagnostics team, who replied within a few minutes of each email. The issues were down to the way I had my TV set up not the App.

I bought the app to enable me to transmit content from my NowTV app to my actual TV. Unfortunately NowTV does not allow playback on the phone whilst attempting to ‘broadcast’ from phone to TV. There is a warning in the small print that this could be an issue, but I didn’t read that far down. Otherwise the app works fine. Hopefully I’ll find other opportunities to use it.
