Wonderful App
This app has made my dog walking an added joy. While Barney is happily sniffing around I am picturing trees and plants to identify and learn about them. This app is accurate about 95 per cent of the time. I have tested it against plants that I know and am confident in the results. I have a photo gallery of over 400 plants which I frequently scroll through to remind myself of their characteristics. I would love to be able to search for a plant in the gallery by name to see if I am accurately remembering it. At present this does not seem possible. I have tried other Apps which do not come close. It is aimed at the North American market but does cater well for European flora.

Purchased the Premium version by mistake (thumb print in wrong place at the wrong time), but so glad I did. I spend a lot of time in UK woodlands and have yet to come across anything it hasn’t identified. Will be paying the yearly subscription from now on.

This app is great! I didn’t know anything about plant species and often have to check for poisonous plants for animals, it has helped me a lot. Especially as it recognises plants in all their stages of growth. Have recommended this app to many people!

Don’t upgrade unless it’s worth the yearly subscription to you. What was once a very good app even if you didn’t want the premium features, now introduces a 30 second delay to spoil the demo experience. A great App
A good little App but a huge pain is that you try to get people to sign up to premium (or at least a trial) by mistake by using the “Continue” button. This is a typical trick of developers and should be a thing of the past now. Especially when the button to continue with no sign up is very small and almost invisible in comparison.

PictureThis is a very accurate plant identifier with its ups and downs
Ups:
It can identify what is harmful to pets ( Cats, dogs, rabbits?? )
It has a 95% accurate result that is very reliable
It can tell what are weeds and what aren’t
It can tell if your plants are toxic
( Now it can identify insects and birds )
Downs:
It has a map were it can tell where plants are native or rare/exotic but not reliable
It has a fee of 24:99 a year ( but worth the price 😉 )
In my opinion PictureThis is a very important app to have on your device for on the go emergency’s or just plain fun!

Random results
I took a picture of a 7ft high shrub. This app identified it as oregano! Oregano spreads a lot but it’s never a tall shrub. No facility I can find to reject the apps response & ask for another try.

Misleading charges
Misleading app, on the subscription screen says that is 7 days free and you won’t be charged if you cancel at least one day before. I was charged 5 minutes after downloading it.
I would like immediate refund and sorting out Apple message ‘you won’t be able to cancel if you download and use the app within 14 days’. What does that mean? I’ve already downloaded it in order to try it out. All other apps stipulate that you either try it out and then you have to pay, or you have to pay straight away if you want to use it, or you have free version of the app (or premium). Also rose that I’ve tried to identify can be either of 2 sorts. It changes with every additional photo I take. Dissatisfied with the experience.

Frustrating; Can’t add to the database
As a general record of what houseplants I have, it’s doing ok. But only ok as it does seem to have a limited database. I find it incredibly frustrating that there’s no (obvious) way to add plant types to the database when you know for certain what the plant is called.
I subbed this app so that I could keep an up to data and accurate record of what I have - a vain attempt to stop myself from buying more plants!!
Please, please, PLEASE either add a way to build the database (& therefore make the app glorious rather than meh) or make it obvious where to do this!

Great app!
As I live in the Uk, I was doubtful at first whether it would identify both native and cultivated British plants, but I quickly found I needn’t have worried. It has never let me down once. I particularly like being able to keep the plants I’m interested in in the My Garden section, and that there is so much info given about local names, how to care for them, etc. And it’s so fast too! Whenever I see a plant I’m curious about, out comes my phone and within seconds I have all the info I could ever ask for.

An App worth having!!
I only tried this out of curiosity and on the one negative note, was a bit annoyed that I get charged for the full year (£24) the second that the 7 day trial ended, without any warning. I’m sure it was in the small print somewhere but it just didn’t feed very customer friendly. Rather off- putting but hey, now I’m a customer for a year.
Having said that, it is a brilliant app. I use it constantly and I have learned so much, both in my garden and on my daily walks, looking up wild flowers and trees. I have never written a review before but I felt that this was worth doing.

Not that smart
What a great idea for gardening lovers.
I downloaded this the second the advertisement came up.
The problem is it’s not accurate and that’s what you need when trying to keep your plants alive and garden healthy.
I tried finding out the contents of my garden, some had the garden centre tags on to identify, but the app could not get the right types.
Every one it got wrong except for a weed.
In the end I managed to get the correct identity after 4 or 5 attempts, but what if I am not sure of the type and go with the first thing the app identifies? That presents a dilemma.
I have a row of trees that it identified as endangered, yet I got these at the garden centre and they are quite common.
I think the app is great in principal but the identification aspect is critical and sadly very flawed.
This app is good for fun and the way the Interface works and is designed, so if the content is not important then this is a great and interesting app. But if you are looking for support with your garden and plants then I think look for more professional advice.

Gone are the days of having to wonder and ponder about the name (and extensive background) of that wondrous plant you saw on your walk that one time! Never will you have to question your plant-keeping-alive skills because your third house plant’s leaves have gone that funny yellow colour.. again. Not as accurate as expected
I’ve had this app for about 6 weeks now and used it often to help identify plants, both unknown as well as known, so I could see it’s accuracy. On the plus side, it’s often correct and I particularly like the detail also given on care, position etc, in fact information that saves me looking up in books or online. However on the negative side it is often wrong. This could be the photo I’ve taken but it’s odd that I now have to take several shots of one plant, to be given a variety of IDs and then having to go with the one that is given the most. There’s also times when I know the plant name but it’s identified it incorrectly. Unfortunately as much as I’d love it to be, it’s not reliable. At over £20 p.a subscription it needs to improve I think before I consider renewing it.

I used the app to identify/check the plants recently added to my newly landscaped garden. Every shrub and perennial was correctly identified on the first attempt bar one which needed a couple of attempts. I think that was pretty reasonable. I'm not understanding the complaint about subscriptions. It was clear to me that I could use the app for free for 7 days and then there was an annual subscription. It was all very upfront and I don't feel conned by the app developers. Maybe they've improved the app since first I bought it? Whatever, this is a good app that I'll be using regularly

This app is Great!!
I absolutely love this app
As soon as I downloaded it I started cataloguing everything in the garden so when I plant things in the winter I don’t go digging things up. I had been wondering what pond plants we had and discovered it was full of water parsley! I wouldn’t eat it but it was a cool discovery anyway. The reminders are very useful as I find myself forgetting to water my plants often. The care guides and recommendations are so informative.
Definitely worth a subscription.

Brilliant app
I never bothered to leave apps reviews before, but this one is saving my life. I moved from the city to the countryside and inherited massive manicured gardens, however a bit overgrown as the previous owners were not in top during last summer, because they were selling the house. I moved in by the end of October, not much to be seen, but when the spring came an explosion of plants took the garden over… Cutting the story short I had not a clue of what to do with all those plants, abs this app allowed me not to identify them, but also taught me how take care of them, and always offering more organic options, as for instance introducing ladybugs to control aphids! I am mapping the garden with the aid of the app. The paid version is great value for money well worth it!

I have always loved plants and trees including wildflowers, but with the wildflowers, did not know much about them. This app is perfect! Identifies very quickly and provides useful info. I never leave home now without my phone and this app. I have the paid version which is extremely good value and gives you that little bit more. Love it. I have read sone of the rEvie’s saying it’s a con as subscription is unclear etc etc. I am 72 years of age not exactly a techno but if you read these things carefully, you will exactly what the terms and conditions are! Don’t blame anyone else for your lack of care or oversight. 🤗

If you garden of work in agriculture this is must have
The recognition is brilliant and it gives multiple common names for plants which helps if someone knows it by more informal name than the propper name it’s normally on the list. That of course is for confirming the plants identity when you suspect you know what it is. I have not seen any incorrect identifications except when other plants are in the shot. I work on a farm and so the plants I come into contact with can be quite diverse but this app is really useful.

Really useful tool I use all the time while out and about!
I am new to gardening and can recognise very little by myself but wherever I am, if I see a plant I like, I use this and it unerringly identifies it for me. We have moved abroad and made the mistake of buying what we knew but many plants didn’t do well in our new climate. Now I have this handy tool and can identify plants that are growing happily in very hot summers and very cold winters. No more disappointments! This app is extremely easy to use, quick to identify and full of useful tips.

I rarely write reviews, but I am so very impressed by this app I couldn’t just leave 5 stars without adding a review. My son and I were walking the dog in the woods a few days ago and he happened to mention this ad that he keeps seeing on his phone - he didn’t believe that an app could identify plants, but he said I suppose you’ve got it mum? Yes I have - which tree shall I identify for you?
He was totally disbelieving until I told him and we went round the trees, plants and flowers - all identified correctly. He was very impressed.
This app also identifies any disease and suggests treatments. I’m very glad I downloaded it. Well done to the creators.

Probably saved my pet’s life
Out with my cat and saw her licking a wild plant in the garden I didn’t know. I used this app to identify the plant and found it was highly poisonous to cats and dogs. Immediately rushed my cat to the vet where she stayed 2 days, but due to my fast action she survived and she s fine.
Never wait for symptoms to appear because then it is too late. Always rush your pet to the vet if they have licked, or especially eaten, a poisonous plant ( now eradicated from my garden).
I am so grateful for this app my friend had only told me about a few days before the incident.
I’m not a good gardener but this app has now helped me identify lots of plants and trees, really interesting.
I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic app
I bought this last summer! Although we have a reasonably large garden bought when children were small- they have flown the nest now!! So we were left with a lot of grass and little in the way of colour or borders. Over the last 5 yrs my husband has developed it since he retired. I’m rubbish at gardening but I love to see a beautiful garden in all it’s glory. This app has really helped me to plan what we grow and slowly develop my interest in gardening both for the pleasure of looking and satisfaction of eating things we’ve grown 😊

Nice concept, poor engine, unclear charging
Multiple almost identical high-quality well-lit photos of the same common potplant gave me Common Borage, French Lavender, Cherry Pie, Bredasdorp Gasteria, Peanut Cactus. I can’t remember what the correct plant name is from when I bought it, but I know these identifications were all incorrect, and a quick visual comparison of these plants to the photos I took show them to be obviously incorrect.
The payment of a subscription for a good app providing a good service is a normal and good thing nowadays and the price doesn’t seem high at £20 per year. BUT, there is nothing I can see which easily shows what you are getting for your money. And it’s not made clear you have a choice, or what the unsubscribed users will be able to do.
It’s clear to me that a lot of plant experts have been involved in the production of this app. And some of the knowledge articles look well written and informative. But the AI algorithms need to be fine-tuned, since for me false diagnoses on common plants are a dealbreaker. And while transparent clear marketing could actively persuade me to pay for premium, I am less willing when the developers, despite their reassurances in replies to comments a year ago, still haven’t addressed the appearance of sneakiness. Message to developers: this could be a worldbeating app, but I respectfully suggest that your marketing and AI departments need to do some re-design.

Started using it to identify plants on holiday and got totally hooked! Now I love finding new plants to my collection! Plus I love the fact that you get a great summary of interesting facts about them, can check how to propagate or if their are poisonous or not! I found a new hobby! Now I just go for walks to find new interesting plant! The info on how to care for the plants that I have also helps a lot and I’ve tried expert advice recently and I’m enjoying that too!

I have no idea how this app scores 5 star reviews. It cannot identify my plants. Out of 8 I wanted to add only 3 are correct and these are basic plants you can get anywhere. When you take a picture it narrows identification to 1 plant, it does not offer alternatives to select. If you know the Latin name of your plant, there’s no way to add it! They advertise it as 10,000+ species but you can’t search the database. If you want to correct the results by adding the Latin name, forget it! If it’s not in the database you can’t select it. Once you add a plant to your garden, you can select watering and fertilisation frequency but if you do that by mistake you can’t set it back to none. Free trial lasts for 7 days. I got no idea what kind of care advice I’m going to get apart from ‘water your plants’. Unsubscribed, uninstalled. I’ll just keep on watering my plants as I used to.

Mind blowing with a 'But'
I would imagine I speak for s few more in saying just how wrong you pricing strategy is, without question a truly work of genius, but an annual fee is just not for me, historically App creators don't generally demand that, we the generally public therefore (and only natural) see it as 'Not for me' , I can as others use it without paying, don't see your business sense though, I feel guilty using it free, I want to contribute to the software, but not as a recurring annual fee, can you come up with a more workable alternative ?

Mistaken identity
I’ve only had the app 2 days and has proved very clever and useful.
I’m in Scotland, and today I’m out in the park trying to identify trees which have lost their leaves. Picture This identified an American Ash, or White Ash, also known as Water Ash, however none of the trunks in the corresponding pictures, matched the tree I am with. I tried again, only picturing the splayed moss covered ( possibly copiced) trunks. The app immediately offered a different kind of tree altogether, a kind of maple tree. .
I think it would be good then, if the App. Sort of stopped to ‘think’ and asked for more information, instead of ‘jumping to conclusions’. By the look of the leaf formations, the app got the tree correct first time. The bark is like an ordinary elm however the leaves are more akin to a lime, which is the reason I chose to ask Picture This to identify it. Many thanks. Julia G-S, Glasgow.

Loving it
Finally started using this app after I kinda accidentally bought it because I forgot to cancel my subscription! I have a very diverse and garden that has the Baltic Sea on one side and a Scandinavian rocky forest on the other. It is now autumn and I’m discovering everything from blueberries to all sorts of fungal type growth that I have never had any clue about. I am really giving it a good test and thus far it has identified everything 😁 Finally I can identify and understand all the nature that is growing around me. I love this app, absolutely great value. Just downloaded the app and love it
I found this app from I used last account, now I create a new account, I still need it on my device, almost three months. I love this app It’s so easy to just whip out the app anywhere and snap a pic of any plant and get almost instant results with nice information! I love using this app on my walks around the neighborhood and in the nearby forest preserve. It has failed only once, I think because I “confused” it with too many other plants in the background. Otherwise, it works great and really impresses my friends. I love this app because I am learning about plants that have been around my house for 30 yrs. I got rid of all poisonous plants in my yard and she hasn’t had an issue since. So thankful for this app! It is easy to use and accurate and right on!!!! It seems to work equally well for flowers and trees. It has even worked on old pictures that I re-shot off my computer screen! I’m actually in awe of how this app can do what it does.

Great for wildflower identification in the field!
I downloaded this app to try with my grandchildren on rural walks. They’re always looking for bugs and birds etc. I often get asked what a plant/wildflower/weed is too. I was impressed by high accuracy of identification. Yes there were a few very obvious incorrect ones but changing the distance and angle of photo corrects that. I upgraded to premium and love to see the shared photos and see what fully grown plants will look like, in someone’s garden, before I buy them at a garden centre. The information that accompanies them is great. Although using USA climate zones etc. I get info in degreesC and have quickly learned how to translate zones to UK.
I gave 4 stars as I would like to see a dedicated UK version/option if possible. Other than that, I love and so do the children.

Brilliant App
I enjoy using this app usually to confirm the name of a plant which I may have forgotten or something new that I like and need to know more about. Most of the time it does get the correct name and species, giving all the tips to care for the plant.
The times I most appreciate the app is when I'm out and come across a new plant which is unknown to me, allowing me to add this to my collection, building a very useful portfolio of how to take care of them through the year. I'm very pleased with the overall quality of the app.

Too worried I’m going to be charged to use it!
Really want to like this app as it seems like it should be very useful. However after using the app for a few moments yesterday taking pics to identify my house plants (which worked) I was frustrated about being pressured to buy the membership so aggressively. Having looked at some of the reviews where people have accidentally pressed the free trial button and have found it difficult to get out of or have been charged even though they cancelled, I have decided not to continue so I’m deleting the app. If the app was less forceful I’m sure plenty of people would be happy to subscribe but currently it is far too pushy and needs to back off.

Would like a search function
Have never been into plants, though my mum is very knowledgeable, but thought I’d like to start being able to identify things around us. After using this during the free trial period and really enjoying my new knowledge I decided to subscribe for the year and I’m loving it. I’m able to walk round gardens with mum and identify for her the few things she can’t, as well as what’s growing wild in my neighbourhood.
One improvement would be the ability to search on plant names. You’re not always in front of a plant while talking about plants, or may want to discuss variants of something you’ve seen. Instead of having to leave the app to go to a search engine it would be better to be able to search in the app.

I love this app!!
I rarely leave feedback or a review, but this app is one that everyone should have on their device. This is the second or third app of this sort that I have tested, and it is infinitely better than any of the others. it looks awesome for home gardening enthusiasts and plant hobbyist. You can easily take pictures of any plant or tree, and it will give you the closest plants to it. I think it gets it correct 95% of the time! You can also take photos of plants for diagnosis, there will be a professional botanist analyze for you. I absolutely adore this app. I’ve always been a plant lover and sometimes I just use it to verify I am correct when naming something. Now that we are quarantined at home, I have been spending a lot of time in my garden, and this app is teaching me so much that I didn't know, a wonderful learning trip.
I have one suggestion about the app. You may be interested in the plants in the gallery, the community, and while browsing the article. However, there is no ability to group together where your favorite plants appear. We would be very happy if you could consider adding this feature. Thank you.

Excellent app for plant ID and more
Upgraded to premium and love the functionality and simple process. Beyond identification, the additional info is really interesting and helpful, including diagnostic advice if photo shows plant problem. My one criticism is , after identifying a plant, having to go back to square one every time in order to access my photo album. This is a bit of a drag whenever I am identifying a series of plants (I take lots of wildflower, etc. photos during hill-climbing ventures). A shortcut button ‘back to album’ would be really welcome. This is just a constructive bit of feedback - it’s a brilliant app.

Very Clever
I am no expert, but enjoy trying to identify wildflowers, whilst on walks, and photographing them. It seems very accurate. I have only had app. a few days, but it has already helped me correct one identification, and helped speed up several others. Of plants I am confident of, it has been 100% accurate. The only error I spotted, is that it gave different identifications for a close up of flower, and one, of the same plant, that also showed leaves. I had already struggled with this myself, looking it up earlier. My only concern, was that on allowing location of photo, it gave my home location, actually my neighbour’s address, rather than where it was taken. This maybe because I take photos with a camera, and later transferred to my device, and looked them up at home.

Subscribed by accident and didn’t look back
I accidentally signed up for a paid subscription at the start of lock down (totally my fault, no funny business) and emailed the apps customer service for help. They were really nice about it, but now I feel guilty because I decided to stick with it and the app is outstanding. The garden’s got some much needed attention recently and the app has been amazing in helping a house full of completely useless gardeners get to grips with what on earth we’ve been planting and how to keep it all alive 😅 it’s been great for walks in the woods too. Whenever I see something unusual growing I snap a picture and have detailed information straight away. Turns out one of our houseplants is called ‘dumbcane’ and drinking its sap would numb the larynx and cause the drinker to be unable to speak for a fortnight. Won’t be trying that, but knowing more than what a plant shows at face value is a wonderful thing. 5 stars, I’d recommend the paid subscription to all.

Great App
I have used this app since the spring to help catalogue a large country garden. For £20 year for Premium it’s well worth the cost and it has provided a lot of interest. It’s also great for wild flowers and trees too. Identification is usually spot on and I have catalogued 250 plants so far and still going.
As suggestions: I would like a simpler way to add notes (such as where found ) without having to go to ‘Edit’. I also can’t quite understand the ‘add to my garden’ button because all the plants identified are saved anyway as ‘Me’ and there is no ‘my garden section’. Being able to save to various self named ‘gardens’ would be better so you could Group plants to areas where found such as ‘front garden’ ‘back garden’ ‘on walks’ etc. Most importantly I would absolutely love a way to export my long list of saved plants complete with the name, my notes and my image etc so that I could save them off app and even print so I could permanently save the long list I have built up over the last few months as it’s been quite a monumental (but enjoyable) task.

My favourite app!
I bought Picture This during lockdown, to accompany my daily walks. I have identified all the beautiful wild flowers in the hedgerows, as well as those in my garden. The App is so easy to use. Just take a photo of a flower and within a few seconds, you not only have it’s name, but it’s species and alternative names. Some of these can be very amusing! I have made a real effort to remember all the wildflower names, but if I forget, I can just go back on the App and look them up in my library or take another photo! I am now using the App to learn the names of the trees too. I thoroughly recommend Picture This. It has added a new dimension to my walking.

Beware Taking Out Free Trial
I think I may have had a free trial just over a year ago, but in that case I feel that it should have alerted me to the fact that I wasn’t eligible for another, rather than just taking the money for a years subscription without any prior warning. I feel that this is not very transparent, and I feel tricked into taking out a subscription when I thought I was getting a free trial. I wanted to see how much I used the app for a few days and then I would most likely have purchased the monthly plan as it is a more manageable amount, with the ability to cancel without losing a lot if I wasn’t using the app as much as anticipated. I feel very let down and disappointed by this, and feel that you should make it clear if a customer isn’t eligible for a free trial so that they can make an informed choice about purchasing a subscription.

Unable to completely trust the app unfortunately
I was given a shrub but was unable to remember what it was. I put the app on to it throughout the weeks. I almost threw the plant out when the app said oleander (poisonous). I waited for the plant to flower and tried again. Now I’ve got its four other attempts at identifying it, photos taken at the same time but from different angles, none of which identify hebe - which I spotted on the RHS website and was eventually confirmed by the gift-giver. Are the other identifications in my garden correct ... I’m not 100% sure of them all.
The app’s a great concept and it does give lots of useful info when you know it’s got the right plant. I didn’t create my garden, hence the purchase of the app to know how to look after it all. There’s personalised support on plant diseases too, sadly again that advice didn’t quite apply to the issue I’d queried. A few refinements still to be made I’d say.

Useful app but not foolproof
I have found this app very useful in identifying some of the plants in my mature garden, much of which was planted by others. However, its accuracy is very dependent on the quality of your photo and it can be fooled by close ups of large bushes. Also, The info given is sometimes wrong. For instance, in “tips by gardeners” connected to a photo I produced of what it identified as a cherry laurel, the tips went on to describe cherry trees! It said the fruit was delicious. As I understand it, all parts of Cherry Laurel are poisonous!
On further use I started to be puzzled by some of the apparent identification errors until I realised it was identifying plants native to the USA and not the UK!

HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS APP!!
This app is AMAZING I’m really good at photography and people often ask me what is this plant called it’s so beautiful and I struggle to tell them which type cause idk (I don’t know) what the name of the plant is and when it comes to describing, I can’t describe and search up on google so I use this app to SIMPLY take a photo of the flower or plant I want to know and when I take the photo it identifies it in less than 7 seconds and tells me what the name is and brand and name and where it is from or known by!! It also tells me how much plants there are in the WHOLE world or in a certain country or place and it tracks it!! Great!! Amazing NO ADS and I think u should download it NOW

Seems quite accurate, and easy to use
I just started using this app 5 days ago and I’ve done about 20 IDs both garden plants and wild field plants. Almost all seem to be correct, by cross checking on Google afterwards. For the couple that missed (the results didn’t match), a second photo at a different angle found a better answer. It also gives quite a lot of information on the plant in the results, particularly useful if it’s poisonous! I find it really fun and pleasing to have all this information at my fingertips. I’ve been using the app for free so far but will pay now to support the developers. (To use for free, bypass the subscription nag screen by tapping the little white X in the top corner, then tap the “New” button at the bottom.)

Be careful
While this is a great app with thought through design, it is very clear the developers try to nudge or trick you into signing up for a default £20/year auto renew subscription through a quick AppleID when opening it and don’t make it clear that the 7-day free trial is optional (and in fact the app itself is free if you find the skip button). Preying on people’s reflexes and making an auto subscription the default is really a bit of a con.
Judging from how well designed and thought through the app interface and experience is, and from all the comments in reviews calling out the same problem, it is very clear that this is deliberate. The developers should change this if they have any good intentions towards their users and feel their app is strong enough to subscribe to without having to trick people.
The fact that this is a hidden deceit, makes me wonder what else could be found in the permissions and T&Cs that are less obvious.

Premium? No thank you
Downloaded this app as a recommendation from a friend, however the premium service was forced upon me from the start.
I mistakenly paid for this app through Touch ID where it wasn’t made clear if I was paying for any service or not. The response from the developer was ‘you wouldn't ask a manufacture for a refund on a product’ which is irrelevant and doesn’t make a point. They could have easily refunded the mistake instead. This ‘support’ came from their not very helpful premium customer service.
I’m sure the £20 is worth the spend despite the infinite amount of resources available on the web or your local gardener/florist. Thank you for your help.

Good but annoyed
This is quite a good app. It is fairly accurate but not 100% of the time. The annoyance came when I thought I would only be able to use the app for 7 days as it is advertised as a free 7 day trial. When I deleted the app it prompted me to manage my subscription which I did, unfortunately I didn’t realise that I had already been charged £20 for the year. Then, reading reviews, it seems that I can use this free for as long as I want but this is not made clear. This app needs to be clearer that you can use it for free with certain restrictions and much clearer that if you do click start the 7 day trial, you need to cancel the subscription before the end of the 7 days. As I have subscribed I have reinstalled the app but I most definitely will not be subscribing again.

Unclear subscription status
I downloaded the app thinking it was free and then I discovered there was a 7 day free trial period after which it sounds like a subscription kicks in. It is not entirely clear whether this is automatic or not. I am not interested in taking a subscription by default, so have spent too much time going round systemic loops trying to cancel a subscription that I may or may not have inadvertently signed up for or be getting by default as there seems no simple mechanism for cancelling the trial. The subscription does not show up anywhere so following one of the threads I contacted the company directly by email stating clearly I was two days into a seven day trial, I have deleted the app and informing them I do not wish to have a subscription. The reply was a sales pitch, trying to persuade me to sign up and the statement that they cannot cancel it their end. This is really unhelpful.

Name this plant in a few seconds.
A great tool for quickly identifying plants in your garden or when out and about. Easy to use, simply point your smart phone at a plant and within in a few seconds, you are advised of the plants name, it’s origin and other information. No more searching through books.
It’s great fun and addictive, The Head Gardener at a local NationalTrust property where I volunteer showed me this App. We frequently have visitors asking what plant is this’?
Also it could be a great way to get kids involved in gardening by giving them a list of plants to identify!

Overall in love
Love this app! I am now addicted to identifying all the plants! However it is very misleading that the first screen you encounter is a ‘free trial’ screen which asked for your bank details. When I originally downloaded this app I was so put off by this that I uninstalled it. Only recently, having read through the comments, did I realise that you can click the x at the top right of this screen and just use this app for free without being in a trial period. I would suggest making this feature into more of a pop-up once the app is running rather than a home screen. Great app otherwise! Xx

Great app when walking my dog!
I come home most evenings after walking my dog with at least one new amazing flowering plant I’ve spotted and your app has identified for me. Most plants are recognised straight away. I’ve got a colourful garden for most the year but now I’m collecting plants for winter colour next year - I’m really enjoying myself!! Now I need a to-do list built into this app with reminders so I don’t forget when to order plants.
Score now reduced to 3 stars because:
Sometimes plant identification is incorrect - I want to be able to notify The app if this happens but can’t find how to do that.
Also I’ve subscribed for 1 year on my iPhone but I can’t share it on my iPad without a duplicate subscription which I’m not happy about.

Nice app but devs are misleading with subscription and price gouging
I assumed it was a free app until I was presented with a subscription screen, later googled to read comments about it and found it is indeed free although having limited features.
I find the devs are trying to mislead users by not making it very obvious that it is indeed free to use and no not need to subscribe . Also, while the app is nice and intuitive to use, I find their subscription model bad. I don’t like price gouging which is what this is for a app that most people might use once a month if that. If they offered a one off fee, it would be fairer especially when there are more and more similar apps which do exactly the same for less money.

A fabulous addition to any avid gardener!
I love this app, it’s so easy to use, full of information and very accurate! I have learnt so much from it! I have a herb garden and new plants seem to appear every now and then, so I can use my app to just simply take a photo and all the information comes up on the screen! I also use it as I have horses and a dog and particularly my dog likes to self medicate on walks, so I can quickly check what he’s trying to eat and make sure he’s being safe, which of course, he’s far more knowledgable than I am! I hope you enjoy the app as much as I do! Happy gardening!

Great app, shame about..
This is a great app. I have really enjoyed photographing and identifying plants everywhere I ago. It’s just such a massive shame about the way in which the subscription is presented. It’s not obvious to most that you can simply click the cross at the top of the screen to use it without signing up for a free trial. It IS a free app. I won’t be subscribing, however if you were to charge a one off fee of a few pounds for this app to get rid of the ads I would happily do so. The map feature is lovely, you could use the data gained from this to map plants all over the world. I can see plenty of opportunities to broaden the app and advanced features could incorporate a subscription fee. But get rid of the ugly screen asking to sign up for the trial all the time. I’ll will however be recommending this app to anyone with an interest in plants.

Rubbish
I saw this on an advert on social media and thought it would be helpful to identify problems with plants, as the advert suggested. First of all, I couldn’t get past the home page and just kept getting a message saying “failed.” Then when I finally did get into the app properly, the camera function wouldn’t work so I had to take the picture using the normal camera app and then import into the Picture This app. Then it said it couldn’t identify the plant, let alone what was wrong with it. I tried taking a picture of different plants to see if they worked, but none of them could be identified by this app; a monstrera (Swiss cheese plant, a peace lilly, a snake plant and a cactus, and none of them could be identified by an app that alleges to identify most plant species and diagnose issues with them 🤔 Complete waste of time downloading!

Very useful for more generalist natural historians
I have used this app over the past week for identifying plants in France - some I already knew, others I didn’t. It is remarkably easy and quick to use and gives accurate identification for many plants. It seems to hit its limits with grasses and sedges, but even some of these it managed. So, whilst it can’t be relied on 100% it gives some fantastic pointers for further checking in books etc. And often I have been able to confirm the identification simply by comparing with other images within the app’s gallery. Highly recommended!
