I paid £89.99 for a year worth of Video Leap Lite, thinking I was getting Green Screen benefits and could export backgrounds and templates. I can’t do any of those things, it just keeps asking for more money and says I’ve reached my limit, what limit?? Can’t export anything. DO NOT PURCHASE. Absolute RIP-OFF.

Such a basic and ineffective editing app, you’re much better off using the free version of InShot or CapCut. This is weak in comparison and the cost is ridiculous. Cancelled my free trial after 10 minutes.

Tried the free “trial for a week” but can’t see anywhere how to cancel. Doesn’t show in the subscription section, there’s no option to cancel on the app, but the app shows that I’ll be charged so and so after 7 days. You need to improve your app.

AUDIO BUGS. AUDIO BUGS EVERYWHERE.
It never did this before (I think it started in late 2021 somewhere), but now any time a clip in the making of a project is short (even if it’s audio extracted) it is somehow muted in the rendered project. Then there’s also this thing where you try and split an audio extract, or trim it from the back or front, and it immediately crashes doing so for no reason (can happen for days on end and instantly makes me delete the app). Lastly there is this thing where the video’s volume always stays the same even when it was actually supposed to be lower or higher (JUST HAPPENED RECENTLY). PLEASE FIX ALL THIS NOW!!!

This app is great and has great features!
The templates, audio and assets you can download with a premium membership (or not) are all fantastic. The features, effects and general editing usability is superb….. But.
This app struggles the moment you try to start working with anything more than 30-90 second quick style videos. It can’t render and export a video more than 2 minutes long if it has been condensed. Just means that if you’re serious. Then this just isn’t the app for you.

Scammy Marketing Tactics
Marketing for subscription service lacks transparency, particularly around the AI generation tools. Application allows you to invest time using the tools and applying to your work then shows the fee it costs to use those tools. No indication prior to using which tools come at a cost…. Avoid if using for efficiency.

A fall from grace
I used this for years but now they require you to pay for adding a voice audio recording, added with the water mark at the beginning of the videos, it makes getting Videoleap not worth it anymore if you don’t want to pay. Such a big shame.

Word of Warning
I used the services of the sister site Photoleap and somehow ended up with a trial of Videoleap that lapsed into a subscription. I would be very wary about making sure you have cancelled any trials and don’t have anything you didn’t intentionally sign up for. Having not ever used the services of VideoLeap I was a little bit confused as to how this had happened and the customer service team were apologetic but could shed no light on how I ended up with this subscription despite repeated emails nor could they refund the charge. They seemed unable to even locate details of my subscription until I actually sent them a copy of my bank statement. I find myself being increasingly wary of subscription based sites that send no notifications regarding subscriptions nor do they show any flexibility to resolve obvious issues when presumably they can see that you have never even logged onto the site. Tread carefully folks…

App used to be good but the app has become too focused on AI
I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it’s been amazing, even with the new upgrades and rise in demand, I didn’t mind paying for the pro version as it was a very useful tool … but unfortunately recently I’ve been working on a travel vlog for my YouTube channel and at first was working very well but suddenly the video stopped exporting for no reason and keeps repeating or doesn’t explain why it’s happening…(it’s only a 5 min video with minimal editing) I contacted support 2 months ago and they have never responded. I was also a premium member.
I will not be subscribing until this problem is fixed.

It’s not working! And I’ve been premium since it started.
Literally broke today.. When adding videos or pictures onto a project they don’t load. It gets stuck at 100% or if it does it’s invisible. I’ve tried deleting the app and downloading again (lost all my projects in the process), tried restarting my device but nothing is working. (Did comment the bug on their X profile, Hopefully people see it before they download it…plus that they didn’t even respond there)- they should be more active in other areas than just replying to reviews.

Not as good as I thought it’d be
I use Photoleap and I am subscribed to it, I find it an amazing tool. I expected Videoleap to be the same but I’m a bit disappointed. It’s a good app and does have some useful tools, but £150 is ridiculously overpriced, even for a years worth access. If it had a few more features like video face swapping/AI video generating then maybe the price would be more justifiable, but for me right now it just isn’t.

Captions don’t do the whole video
Paying about £7.99 a week and the auto captions don’t cover the full video which is one of the main reasons I use the app. Maybe a bug that just needs tweaking

Used to be quite simple to operate, now? Over complicated trying to add in too much which makes the whole thing a daunting experience. If you are a serious video editor then I would imagine it’s first class. However if like me you like things simple maybe you should look elsewhere.

It’s was the only app who doesn’t hat watermark, I respect that and I use it for 3 years already and I have paid it some time, also I used all they’r apps cuz they have more. Used to love Videoleap
This was my absolute favourite video editing app. The fact that a lot of in app social media editing formats is so similar to it is testament to how good it is. Unfortunately in the last year slowly but surely they’ve taken all the fun stuff and put it behind a paywall. It’s just not viable for me to pay for it. It’s a shame they can’t come up with new features rather than paywalling previously available pretty basic things like voice over and watermarking videos. I’m really sad to have to find an alternative.

AI is always overloaded - you won’t create your video
If you buy this app for AI features, like Panorama, most likely it will take you forever to get your video. Because “our AI is handling too many requests right now, please try again later”. It’s almost impossible to break through 44%. This is very disappointing. I’d recommend to enhance AI capabilities first and attract new users _after_ it.

I am absolutely disgusted in this app. I downloaded the app, tried it and noticed it was not for what I needed so I immediately cancelled the free trial that day. They still somehow managed to take a recurring payment of £14 a month. I have clear proof in my apple subscription history that I never chose to keep the app. Now I have had to cancel my bank card which is an absolute faff. Customer support ignored my query and just said I did purchase it i have clear proof i didnt.

Scammed
I feel scammed by this company. I signed up for a trial if I think 48 hours only, during which time the video I tried to make was not possible because I kept getting a “we’re experiencing a high volume. Try back later” message. During that time my phone broke as well (probably unrelated to the app) but when I got a new phone the app wasn’t on there. So I had no way to cancel my subscription. And I assumed it had just expired on its own. I quickly learned I had been charged a full year’s subscription and even more quickly tried to contact the company to request a refund as this was an accidentally subscription and a very heavy price to pay for a mistake that was largely technical. They never responded and never refunded me. I have not made a single video with video leap.

Was good app / value for money but remove functions and then the projects you work on are there but buffer to open, the tile for the project is blank all you have is date stamp- this app was better 6 months ago what every update or upgrade they do makes the app worse than the last edition.

AMAZING APP! But very buggy…
I’ve been using Videoleap for a long time now and we bought the subscription. It was around £60 at the time. However, I’m using a 5th generation IPad Pro to run the app and I can’t figure out if it’s just a lack of storage space or a fault with the IPad itself but over the last couple days I’ve attempted to open the app, it shows me the logo and then crashes! I would appreciate if you could look into this as A LOT of projects and really the main reason I use my iPad is because of this app!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
I’ve been using this app to edit things from instagram content to TikTok to even YouTube. I’ve been using it for around 2 years and I’ve had nothing but CONSTANT PROBLEMS throughout the app and using basic editing tools.
£10 a WEEK!! For a subscription to use an app to its potential and it still can’t even function using basic editing tools is shocking.
My friends who also edit content daily have had the same issue.

Do not recommend if you are serious about doing videos.
I create videos for a living and have been using Videoleap for the past few years. The past months, some very annoying bugs have been introduced that haven’t been fixed in recent updates. For instance, when I add a video to a project, when adding subsequently a second video or deciding to replace it, it doesn’t go back to the folder with all my videos that I have created for the project, it goes into ‘Recents’, so I have to look for the folder again and again if I decide to add one video at a time. There are many little things like this that have significantly slowed my work down. I reached out to support clearly outlining the issues and they pretend not to understand. I sent a screen recording done with my iPhone and Jiji is saying he can’t open it, sending me a guide on how to do a screen recording on my iphone (again, I do videos for a living!). They want to compete with CapCut but unfortunately there is no competition, save your money and use CapCut which has no such bugs. In addition to this, when I switched phones all my projects disappeared, as in they are there but don’t open (I am a paying customer).

give me back the money your stupid app has been leeching out of my account without my knowledge. you owe me a lot but i want the 70 quid drawn out today. i cancelled the subscription immediately when i saw it, and it says that the subscription will suspend by november???? if you draw any more money out of my account from now until then, i will be forced to review legal options. i have gone to the refund form through apple and your app doesn’t show up.
don’t buy this app. it will just steal from you, and if you look, there are plenty of people reporting scams posing as ‘videoleap’.

Need Help
Use this app on a daily basis for editing videos but over the past 2 weeks it has taken a long time to even load it up. Today I’ve reached a breaking point as the app has decided to keep crashing before even loading and I’m missing my deadline just trying to get the app to work.

Terrible, Fix your app!!
I have used Videoleap for years, paying the yearly subscription for premium features and 4K export. This app just gets worse and worse by the day.
I cannot export in 4K (which I pay for) if I use any transitions or in app effects, it simply says ‘Cancelled’ mid export.
I’ve spoken to the support team over email countless times where they ask for in app logs, and I send them over and they come back simply saying ‘remove all your effects and transitions and try again’… that’s not the point of an editing app. If I didn’t want any effects or transitions then I’d probably just edit in the camera roll app.
I’m bored of working hard on a project for it to not be able to be exported, and I’m bored of customer service never solving the issue or trying to fix the issue (which has been ongoing for the best part of a year or two)
Genuinely would not recommend this app any more, will be cancelling my subscription, unless they pull their finger out and fix these major issues. 2 stars.

This app used to be great, but they’ve absolute been blinded by money, and have jumped on the AI bandwagon way too hard.
They’ve turned Videoleap and Photoleap into AI based apps, all the while overcharging consumers for an increasingly bad app.
Over the months I’ve noticed crashes and bugs are becoming more frequent, and the UI is becoming straight up obnoxious to use. I feel ashamed to be paying this dreadful company money for a terrible app.

Okay but there’s better elsewhere
I’ve been using this app for years and it’s been perfect for my needs. £60 for a year or a tenner here and there for a month at a time.
My subscription was up last night so I went to buy another month and noticed that they’ve now put the price up to £10 PER WEEK!!
I was pretty mortified so I had a look around and found C*pC*t. What a breath of fresh air. The transitions, effects & audio are head and shoulders above Videoleap. This app suddenly looks and sounds very dated to me. The sound effects library is particularly woeful (just listen to some of the sound effects. Some guy sat in at a computer tapping the mic and selling it off as thuds or taps, and the less said about the human sound effects the better. It’s a shame, I mean, I know you gotta eat, but you’re far from the best, and now you’re the most expensive. Needs a complete overhaul to stay relevant. Thanks for showing me the basics.

New paywall killed a great app
This app used to be amazing and my go-to for video editing, but then they started adding premium features and removing free features, and then increased the already expensive price for premium, then made any video over 90 seconds require premium, then removed the lifetime premium deal, then added watermarks that can only be removed with premium, then increased the price again.
£9.99/week sounds fair until you realise that that's over £500 per year, which is already more than the one time price of final cut pro, a much more sophisticated video editing software. The lifetime deal used to be £65!! What has this app come to? Do your research before giving up your hard earned money to an app that prioritises profit margins over usefulness.

What a disappointment.
First off I’m gonna say it plain and simple, I’m broke.
I am also a rapidly growing channel on TikTok. I have been in the social media business for 3 years now. For those 3 years I was using videoleap, until the price of it became ridiculous! £40 a month for a video editor for a PHONE. Even if this was on a PC it still would not justify the price. I used to enjoy the simplicity of the interface and it was a genuinely easy editor to get along with, and for £70 a year it was justifiable despite my lack of earning from TikTok. Then all this AI stuff came about and to be honest, it really isn’t that good. Sure it’s cool for all of 5 minutes generating images from keywords or whatever but it’s not £10 a week good.
Was gonna get round to this review sooner but I’ve been too busy learning adobe as they are cheaper and it’s a lot more powerful of a editor. Got all the same features as this app for half the price.

Pay for everything extra
So it would be pretty decent if not: 1. You pay extra £10 for each template if you want to customise anything ie. cut video, add text, replace text etc 2. Extra features such as adding stock images / vids are priced extra 3. The app loads content over 8 minutes at times 4. Often you get messages that the app is too busy and can’t deliver the project 5. Doesn’t load some videos when there is nothing wrong with the videos themselves … 6. Limited library of templates. Still loads for the developers to improve on, in principle the objectives of the app are good but execution below average. Not worth the cost.
Update following receiving the response from company:
If you say that you reward creators by charging £10 per template to use x 20,000 users which is perhaps 20% of your customers that’s £200,000 per one template!! This is totally unethical to be charging your customers such huge amounts. You have just convinced me to unsubscribe. Disgusting!

Used to be a good app.
Iv been a paid user for years now and this app used to be my number 1 app for mobile editing. Easy to use interface with a huge library of sound; perfect for adding sound design to any videos. How ever more recently iv been struggling to export any videos over 5 minutes long. Some times it would takes over 30 minutes to export and other times the app would just crash. Unfortunately for this reason iv had to cancel my subscription. I can see loads of other people having similar issues and developers not doing much about it. Shame really as this app was once upon a time a really good app to use.

I’ve been using this app for about 3 years now. And for all those 3 years, I’ve never written a review. But I feel that now I should write this in an attempt to walk back this company / app’s plans. For about 2 years, I’ve used the app without premium. And I thought it was fine. However, last year, I was forced into premium because of the new 1 minute 30 second video limit. This also at the time wasn’t a big issue for most things however. I usually work with short form content anyways. I was fine with this for a while. But over the past week, I’ve given up this app and switched to Premiere Pro. Why, you may ask? Becuase of one feature. The watermark. This one feature makes it impossible for many, many creators to make videos on your website. People like me who do not have enough wealth to afford a 24/7 subscription like this are left in the shadows. So please, Videoleap developers, fix your app, and respect your consumers.

What an absolute downgrade
I’ve used this app since 2019, and back then this was a really cool app to have, with great features and a simple design to work with. But over the last couple years they’ve just been getting worse and worse with these sudden changes. First you were limited more on how many layers you could use. Then it was the real kicker, not able to export videos longer than like a minute and a half. That’s genuinely awful, how did they ever think that was a smart idea? And now as of recent you can even export videos without a watermark! Like they took a really great app, and completely ruined all of it due to greed. Not to mention the CONSTANT pop up adds you get now, it’s insane. If you create videos, just don’t waste your time. I wish I could recommend something else but I don’t know!

Poor
Videoleaps free editing was good to make quick short 1 minute videos back when people weren't greedy but now monthly subscriptions exist they jump on the bandwagon. now you have to have their embarrassing watermark ruin your videos. I took my custom elsewhere and gave them my money instead XD (yes i know you have a one time fee and i probably would have bought it if the watermark didn't become a premium thing on the free version) jokes on you haha.
I bought a laptop and downloaded blender and AE. Now i do all my editing on that, better quality and i don't have to pay a penny. 😌
don't really care why they did it but it's obvious. give people a free version. do it for free and get a real job in a supermarket xDDD not parting MY hard earned cash to give to you, will give it to oneshot instead HAHAH LOL XD LLLLL

absolutely outstanding app if your creative videos
I wasn’t brought up in the tech world. We still had chalkboard chalk when I was at junior school and then secondary school ink pen and writing paper over the years. I’ve learnt to use a computer and iPhone and an iPad and in my line of work as an agent, representing some fine and tennis you have to showcase them and this app is is absolutely first class, easy to use for any age, and it doesn’t matter if you’re a novice like me or Wizkid

Now can’t use without “logging in”
I paid for the full version and have been happily making content for some time. It’s an excellent app for quick video creation. Really very well done. Ordinarily I’d give it 5 stars.
Since the latest release you have now forced users to login when the app loads. There is no option to dismiss that screen and just make content - even though I paid for a full ‘forever’ licence. I have also recently subscribed to one of your other apps btw so I really hope this is not the trend.
I don’t want to ‘login’, I don’t have a facebook or google account. I don’t need profiling or adverts - I already paid for the app. If you cannot change this back I would like a full refund as you are now effectively stopping me using the app.

What is going on?
This app used to be the best, but for years now I’ve been asking them to add HDR Dolby Vision support. This has been something iPhones have filmed in for two years which makes the footage look stunning, but unfortunately editing with Videoleap strips all this off. Other apps including completely free apps all support HDR (Splice, CapCut, iMovie.. list goes on). I’ve been asking for this to be added for years but nobody listens. Furthermore, this app exports in the old H264 codec resulting in huge file sizes, whereas all the other apps export in the newer and iPhone native HEVC (H265) codec, resulting in no loss of quality but with half the file size. All these important things what could have been worked on over the years, and the developers have chosen to build a cheap knock-off TikTok style video sharing platform within the app what nobody wants. Laughable really.

Was awesome..
I’ve used videoleap for a few months and after learning a lot on it I think it’s awesome.. well thought it was awesome until everything I usually use on it now requires a subscription fee. I usually make tattoo reveal videos where I swipe the machine pen over the stencil and the finished product follows. It helped me out and it was pretty unique for tattoo reveal videos and simple to do yet something I could better myself on to get a nicer finish. Due to limitations on everything I can’t make any videos on it unless I pay for it, I’m not prepared to pay all of that money just to use an app. What happened to paying between £3-10 for a good app then being able to use it forever!? All this subscription nonsense is a total rip off and the hefty price tag to buy it outright is way beyond a reasonable price, it’s greedy imo. Hoping I can come across an alternative that will give me a similar result. Such a shame!

Only 1 Minute.. Seriously
I used this app for a lot and a lot of editing but because I updated the app there was a 1 minute limit until you have to pay for the pro version for it to be longer. Honestly one of the stupidest things anyone can ever add to an app they ruined the whole thing and this app had so much potential I’d recommend finding a new editing app for anyone out there unless you want to pay your hard earned money on a MOBILE editing app. Honestly ridiculous

Ok 30 seconds added onto the 1 minute length that’s honestly STUPID theres no way anyone will pay to get longer than 1min and 30 seconds I really want the developers to think about that. Also editing on this app was absolutely amazing before the updates and i really want to see that again all the developers need to do is just PLEASE LISTEN TO US!
here’s my recommendations for the developers and I really hope they do see this.
1. Make Length of videos up to 10minutes until Pro
2. Allow up to 2 mixers on top of each other again
3. Only make reasonable acceptable PRO limits
These are only 3 simple things that EVERYONE wants do this and you have the greatest Mobile editor.

Fairly good editing program but...
When I first got this program for editing, I got used to it very easily, the most simple editing program I’ve used it’s really fun to edit in this application, One of the bad downsides is that without pro you can’t get more than 2 effects for example: Vignette and Lens flare in the same segment was allowed but add one more thing and it’s a pro only project, which was fine but since the update that was 1 day ago which was the “Motion Tracking” update they did it so you can add only one effect without pro so add to effects and then it’s a pro only project this really infuriated me it’s comes of kinda money hungry, so I’m kind of considering moving on to another editing program. Not worth your time
When I purchased Videoleap a couple years back, it was a very handy editing app with some pretty cool features. It had even more cool features behind a further pay wall, which is something I am never interested in with apps. But the upfront payment did what I needed it to.
Throughout the pandemic I haven’t been videoing stuff so much but last night that changed and I have gone back to wanting to make short clips from videos on my phone. A new paywall has been put in capping video durations for standard users at 100 seconds. Flabbergasted at the fact that a pay for product is being castrated so bad by it’s own developers. Disappointingly uninstalling as despite all the apps good features, many of them I like have always been or have come to be inaccessible to users unless they are willing to pay a further premium.

Changes to free and paid memberships
This is an amazing app, one of the best video editing apps without any stuttering footage and no technical problems from me. So i would definitely recommend!
The only problem i have is the more limited this app is becoming to people who use it for free. Ive downloaded this a month or two ago, and i could edit videos freely, however i wasn't allowed to use any of the subscription based perks (understandable)
However I’ve came back to it a day or 2 ago and there is now a limit for free users on how long your video can be? Apparently whenever my video is over 1.30 minutes long it says i need premium to export.
Im not sure why they are restricting even more users. If so i think the app should be paid to be able to use.
This is only a slight problem i just wanted to say. Everything else about the app is practically amazing. I will definitely get the premium version of this app later on once available.

I still enjoy this app, however..
This is my most used editing app that i have, and i've enjoyed using it for as long as i've had it. However, i think one of the newer updates really ruined this app for me. I found the 1 minute and 30 second limit for videos to be quite a downgrade and i don’t really understand why it was changed in the first place to now be premium to extend that limit. Something like a 5 minute limit for free users would’ve been better in my opinion, since only having less than 2 minutes is quite hard to work with, especially if you’re editing a longer video. I’ll keep on using the app but i’ve got to find an alternative now so i can use longer videos, which is kinda a shame :/
But it is still a good editing app and has many good features, it was just this one thing that disappointed me the most.

Too many limits!!!
This app hands down WAS the best editing app for iPhone…. Until they made it so you literally cannot do anything unless you pay. Now you cannot make videos over 1 minute 30 seconds - what is the point in that!!??? Also you cannot layer things in mixer anymore!!! I was in the middle of making a project and now half of my edits and things now go ‘over the pro limits’ completely disappointing! Do you guys at Lightricks not realise that making these super restricting limits will make people move on from your app and find somewhere else to edit? That was what made this app so amazing: the free to use features that weren’t super limiting but now I’m not sure what to do…

New update has made me really angry.
During lockdown I have been using this app to edit videos of bible stories that I send into schools as part of a Christian organisation and it has been amazing! However this new time limit has made me really angry. I am a broke college student and I can’t afford to buy the pro version. Before the update I could make my videos with no real trouble. My videos tend to be about 5-10 minutes long, they’re only short, but now I can’t make anything longer than a minute and a half!? I get that the pro feature is something you need to have to make a profit but you shouldn't make the app basically impossible to use for anything other than short clips if you can’t afford the pro version.
Please get rid of the time limit! Or at least make it like half an hour or something.

You can’t make videos longer than 1 minute and 30 seconds anymore (unless you have pro only)
I used to love this app and I've used it to edit a lot of things. This was probably one of my favourite video editing apps until now. Remember when you could make a video that was 5 minutes long? You can’t do that anymore… Why did you guys thought that it was a good idea to pay pro only to make your videos longer than 1 minute and 30 seconds? Nobody asked for this at all & it’s definitely a huge downfall to this amazing app. If you could pay a membership to make your videos longer than 30 minutes to 1 hour, fair enough. But 1 minute and 30 seconds? I'm not bothered with certain things to be payed for (such as video effects & certain fonts for text) but paying money just to make your videos longer is out of control. I will never use this app again (unless the video duration is back to the way it was) because the fact that you can’t make videos longer than 1 minute and 30 seconds is absolutely unnecessary.

I have tried other editing apps and they seem to have more features, like in filmora theres things where you can make it sway and stuff.

I understand that you need to make money, but some people actually, like, cant pay, like (maybe they're broke or their parents like don't let them or something.) Are you trying to force people to pay? Cause that dont got to work.
Also, because of this update, people are probably going to turn to KineMaster or something. How do you hope to make money by turning people away? You should probably find ways to make money that DOESN'T have a negative effect. And let me tell you, id much rather use an editing app with a watermark(eg. FilmoraGo, KineMaster, etc.).
And, as I previously said BEFORE THE APP WENT WAYWARD, other editing apps have way more features, like, well i dunno, FilmoraGo and KineMaster.

Used to be good now terrible
Video leap used to be a good video editing tool you used to be able to use a key point feature which was incredibly useful and without buying the subscription it was amazing to be able to edit freely with only slight limitations like the amount of layers you can have when I started it was three but they lowered it to two layers it was fine but I didn’t really think anything of it now the app is just greedy and money hungry you cannot use the key points feature infinitely only once which doesn’t help at all it’s vital that I have that feature for my style of editing and they locked it behind a £70 paywall which is overly priced for what you would really use this used to be a good app and for someone like me who can’t afford to pay every month for the subscription Ive been alienated and locked out of something that was free before I’m switching editing tools which I wish I didn’t have to say as video leap is the only one that I can find that has that key points feature it’s disgusting how they have done this

Watermark
I have been using this app for almost a year. Everything is easy to use and I could make really good edits with it which rivalled PC editing. All that aside one of the great features about the app was exporting without it having a watermark. After a little break (A couple of months) from editing I come back to it and realised they had added the watermark feature. I understand it’s to influence people buying the premium version as a market strategy to raise funds and budget, it’s just made me disappointed that I can no longer use it without paying money or putting up with the watermark. I’m sure some people can live with it but as a personal preference I can’t. I don’t expect you to change nor am I forcing you to.

User Friendly And A Great App
So, I’ve never written a review for apps like this as none have ever stood out to me - Until now! I have used this app for just over a year now and I haven’t run into any problems. I started and still use it without the subscription and it does anything and everything I could ever want it to do! I really enjoy using it and overall a great app to start and progress with your editing skills.
If I had to make a request it would be to add more transitions and animations. But after the recent additions and new layout, I’m sure there are other things to prioritise.
All in all, I would greatly recommend this app for anyone who is just starting to edit their first videos and I hope you will all enjoy it as much as I have and continue to do!

Almost Perfect
The app overall is great - lots of options, great for editing (even for beginners)! I’ve had the app crash a few times when the video gets about 5 minutes long, but I’ve learnt that it usually won’t if I wait a while between each change I make. The main reason I wrote this review is actually quite small: when you add something (for example, a picture or video) on top as another layer, it’d be better if you could extend or make it bigger individually, instead of it doing both. Same size, different length. Different size, same length. I hope I explained that well enough for you to understand - apologies if you can’t!

Rather not download
There are many editing software apps on the AppStore but this one is definitely not on the same level that they are, for instance I was making a quick little montage that was taking a lot longer than I thought, and as soon As I went to sleep and wake up pretty much all of it’s ruined. And what I mean by that is, some of the videos where changed to the wrong time, the music went out of tune, and some of the videos were turned into a checkered black and grey screen and there’s no way to change it other than delete it and chose the same one. And by the way it took me nearly 2 and a half hours to just make to half and now I gotta pretty much restart bc I couldn’t live with myself if I i quited. Brilliant But There’s A Little Problem
I sometimes encounter a problem that states that I have exceeded the Pro limit. The message doesn’t disappear when I completely delete everything in the project. I tend to only use text with standard fonts for my editing, but somehow this triggers the app. I must be doing something wrong, but I would appreciate if it could be explained, since I use it for school as well as in my free time, and I wouldn’t want it to make me pay if I had a project due, since I’m only using text and free fonts (not passing the actual limit for text before it stops me from exporting the video without Pro).

Easy to use and great editing features but
This is a great app to edit your videos on plus you don’t have a water mark in the corner of your screen which is even more of a bonus. Also the ability to render out your video in 60fps and 4K is amazing. However I have 1 problem when I edit a video and come back to it the next day to finish editing it’s a gamble as 50% of the time the video has in some way corrupted for no reason. And it has triangles on the clips at the bottom and I play it the clips are black and only sound plays. This isn’t a problem when I edit in one go but sometimes I like to do it in intervals so I don’t get bored and try to rush the video. Great app but would love for this to be changed or have a button that saves the video On The App so I can go back to it the next day without having to worry about it being corrupted:)

Video clips not playing?
I have been using the app for about 2 weeks and it is great! it’s really easy to use as a beginner video editing app but for some reason I finished editing a video and all of the clips came up with a triangle with and exclamation mark in the middle. The clip would just be a black screen when the video was playing, but the text and music would play? I also went on to the other 2 videos i edited before and the same thing happened. Before i had edited the one that might of cause the corruption, this had never happened. So basically all my videos are corrupted or something. Is there any way this can be fixed?

Over-rated and overpriced
Vastly overpriced for what you get and decidedly lacking when compared to the superior - and cheaper - LumaFusion. Whilst it’s true iMovie may not possess all the bells and whistles users may want, pound-for-pound it is still better than Enlight.
They once had credibility, offering some of the best value-for-money photo and video editors on the market - but decided to go down the mercenary route instead, ‘relaunching’ Enlight as some sort of upmarket app. In the process, existing subscriptions were disingenuously cancelled. So much for rewarding loyal customers.
This is not “the best video editor for iPhone/iPad” by a loooong shot: all it shows is that Enlight have a lot to learn when it comes to customer satisfaction, integrity - oh, and selling a product worth the inflated price tag.

Very Good but.......
I had the iphone 7 plus and i has been using iMovie previously however i found it limited and not as good as the desktop So i found this app by using it compatriot using photo editing app photofox (which is brilliant) and i must say it is now my photo editing app of choice as it has the most features i ive seen so far on a mobile similar to a typical mid range desktop software and a very easy user interface
The the only thing i that need to improve is the stability when making longer videos. If your making a 5 min video it very good but if you try and do a 10 min video or longer then it starts having problems it slows down considerably or it crashes. It might be because i had an older iphone However now that i have the latest iphone pro max I will be trying this app and ill give another review to see if i get the same problem but over i like the features i hope to make longer videos

Keeps crashing and is practically useless
So you can’t even export the video if it is too long?That’s a bit.... useless. No seriously what is the use of it if you can’t save the video in your photo album, then there literally is not a use to it, unless it is for short videos. Sure they have powerful tools and I’ll admit to that, but what is the point of those powerful tools, if you can’t have the video? Before I realised this I was editing a video, when for some reason it stopped? Also I couldn’t rewatch the video, and needed to refresh my tablet. This is a great app which would probably be the best editing software for a phone or tablet, but the fact that you can’t even save the video without paying, and the huge bugs weigh it down. Please fix these things, and I’ll be more than happy to use your app. From now on? I think I’ll stay away from it.

Good but Problematic
It’s a really smooth and easy to use software. However, there are a few issues. Firstly, when the video gets over 3 minutes the software lags and I end up having to close and reopen it due to it no longer responding. When I do reopen it, it can take over 5 minutes to open up what I was working on. This isn’t the case all of the time, though. Another thing is when I remove the background of an image on another app it will transfer over to videoleap perfectly fine and the background will be transparent. When I download the video, however, the background turns white and blocks out whatever I have underneath.

Excellent, but...
Let me start by saying that Videoleap a fantastic tool for any beginning editor: the capabilities of this app go above and beyond anything I’ve seen on the App Store, with far more features such as overlaying videos & adding effects and filters for free that make it far more useful than the likes of, for lack of a better example, iMovie. These features where what I was looking for when I downloaded it and certainly have not disappointed, with my editing quality soaring since.
However, this comes at the cost of the app’s durability; I have found in recent weeks my projects crashing more and more as new media is added to the point where some become completely unsalvageable.
This crashing is persistent enough to prevent Videoleap from earning a perfect 5/5 for me - a brilliant tool that has bitten off more than it can chew.

Black screen
The app worked well when editing, trimming, adding effects and music etc, once I was happy I downloaded my completed video and saw it pop up in my ‘Photos’ section of my iPhone.
I then wanted to upload this 20 second video to my Instagram, i went through the normal process but on the last page just before you click to post the video I noticed the thumb nail picture was black. I still uploaded thinking it was just a glitch and it will be ok once on my profile. But once the video was on my profile there is no cover photo for the video, it’s just black. I clicked on the post and the video started to play fine just how I edited it to look. Once the video stopped the screen went black again.
I’ve refreshed the page a number of time and even went through the process of uploading it again but it’s still completely black until the post is clicked on.
When I see the video in my iPhone photo album there is a cover photo from the video, but not when I upload.
Is there something wrong / need changing in setting to sort this??

Amazing- you probably hear this a lot but a few things u might like to add in
I did a review on this a while back saying it wouldn’t let me save it (I was using too many filters) I’m still using free as I can’t afford and it’s still the best editing app I’ve got for free, like iMovie on steroids. I’m aware u have updated recently adding voiceover which I love so thanks but I think you should add in a Ken burn effect (on free because ur nice) by Ken burn I mean an actual zoom in you can use in post. I’ve only found one other app (Vimo) that’s able to do this yet it is very hard to use and understand. I know you respond to these and would love to here feed back, also the chroma key I really can only use for green screen photos as green screen videos don’t really work but that’s understandable it’s I phone editing. I’m aware how much effort making an editing app has to go in and I know editing apps get a lot of back lash with basically everything but would love to hear feedback on the idea, thanks.

Crashing
I downloaded this app only a couple weeks ago, it’s really good not too much going on where it becomes confusing and not too little especially if you don’t need extra perks, however a couple of things have started happening, When I press play to watch the video (from the middle of the video) you have to give it like 3 seconds before sound will start playing, which means I have to press play from like a few seconds before the part I want to watch otherwise I won’t hear it, this to me isn’t that big of a deal but now after having the app for a couple of weeks when I press play it’ll show me the video but when I pause it to edit it the screen goes black and it won’t play so I’ll have to come off the app and back on and start again but the same thing keeps happening to the point when I literally can’t edit my videos because I can’t see it, this could be due to my video being long, original footage was 2hrs but it’s gone down to half hr and it’s only just started happening, please fix this ASAP otherwise I’ll have to look elsewhere for an editing app thank you.

Too Pricey
I really love this app! The editing tools are decent and cool and there are many options.
The biggest problem I have with this app is that it’s too expensive, no matter if it’s half price it’s still quite pricey, I would like it if it was only £2.74 for 12 months and you don’t have to pay monthly, as a young editor doing school projects with this app. It limits me of what I can do, which is really quite disappointing.
I can’t wait to hear a response from the developers to see what they have to do about this problem, Thank you very much. Also could you make folders so I can put my editing stuff in a certain section

Outstanding
As a designer for 15 years who’s familiar with animation and video editing, I’m always on the lookout for new tools. Videoleap has completely transformed my approach to video editing. It’s tools, whilst simple, become extremely powerful when part of a workflow which incorporates other mobile apps such as Glitché, desktop apps such as Photoshop and Airdrop (to quickly move files back and forth).
When it comes to editing for social media posts, video now takes half the time - in large part due to the simpler gesture-based UX - leading to an increase in my earning power.
Looking forward to seeing what’s in store next. Videoleap - you’re ahead of Adobe’s mobile apps, so long as you keep a focus on a simple UX as your features increase.

This just make’s it easy. User friendly AF
Works for exactly what i need it for. Its going to be awkward to do this level of editing on a phone but this really makes it that much easier to do and can be really handy on the go.
I have now been using it for 3+ months religiously & i must say it has really taken me by surprise how much editing i can actually do now on my phone.
It will take longer then a computer and maybe match a tablet in speed depending on screen size for you to edit a video. Im using it on an IPhone X a little bit of extra sensitivity when editing the actual video’s is the only real difference. the features are amazing you can actually edit SO MUCH i am really amazed how much i have been using it and only use a bigger device for really complicated projects.
The software is fast, the only slow part will be you.
The price for all this convenience is 👌🏻

What evens is iMovie
So I seldom go out of my way to review an app. For years I’ve used iMovie on my phone when I haven’t been able to edit on my laptop with Sony Vegas. I downloaded this app on a whim as I love their photo editing app.
I’m impressed. I immediately deleted iMovie and will only being using this from now. Yes it lags a touch from time to time when you really challenge it, but only for a moment. As a whole the features are far beyond standard for mobile video editing apps, and I’m only using the free version!
All in all well done! This is just what I needed with IGTV on the up and up, get this working as some powerful desktop software and I may even consider replacing Sony Vegas.

Very powerful app that bring some great functionality to iOS. The effects are impressive but the speed running on an iPad Pro make it very frustrating to use for any length of time. The ability to reduce the quality or turn off effect previews during editing would make it a lot more usable if it were to speed up the preview. Also there is no ability to pin the audio so as you can see it all of the time to makes cuts in time with music, this has proved a great frustration and means I wouldn’t consider using it for editing again but only to apply effects to videos that I’d edit elsewhere. I’m using the free version and would have considered buying it but for the very high price, it’s far too much for the occasional user and offering no multi device or pc editing takes it out of the professional market too unfortunately. There’s lots of potential which I hope to see realised in a future version.

Fairly powerful but underdeveloped, and as such the ridiculous price-tag is unjustified
The selection of tools are industry standard but hardly innovative and the iOS integration is intuitive but subject to crashing on some devices. The £130 down to £65 for a special one-time-just-for-you-buy-it-quick splash screen is an underhand, scammy marketing technique and is not fit for what is presented as a market leading iOS video editing app. Either it is £65 or it isn’t. And if it is, that is still a tremendous amount to put down for an unfinished piece of software which is fairly untested, and lacking some features which are industry standard on desktop editing suites. The updates from the team also make reference to a free version but there are no other “versions” available, so that is confusing too. I look forward to recommending purchase of this app down the line when it is no longer crashing, a complete set of industry standard features have been trickled in via updates and finally they can afford to bring the price down to something under £50.

Way too expensive
I loved your photo editing app, but I’m sorry but the makers of this have priced themselves way out of the market. No matter how good your product most people are not going to pay the one off subscription of over £60, and many will be wary of a monthly subscription. I may be wrong but if you don’t sell many I’d suggest a top price of £10 with an option to buy certain high end addons. E.g. Hipstamatic has done well with that model as have many other apps. Basically I won’t be going near this product or recommending it to anyone till you change your pricing model, which is a lose lose situation for all concerned. Why not rethink your pricing system?
