Doh.

The app downloads event dates that I didn’t ask for, or subscribe to, but the app also refuses to let me delete any of them.

Also, I still don’t get any choice about whether or not I want to sync my private events with iOS calendar (caldav). This app may not collect any data from my phone, but I’m damn sure that Apple do.

Great App

By far the best app for my needs, well worth the price for the premium version. Absolutely love that the widgets show events more than 1 day away, most only show a today view.

My only niggle is that events on the widget disappear exactly at the start time. e.g. if the event starts at 9am and I glance at the widget at 09:01, the event has already gone. Surely it should drop off at the event end time?

Excellent. At Last A Calendar That Works Well

I've been through quite a few calendar apps and always had to switch back to Apple's built in calendar. I don't find Apple's iOS calendar very useful (poor use of limited screen space, limited view options, etc.)

Calendar 366 ticks all the "Pros" and none of the "Cons".

1. It works (nor all paid for competitors do)

2. Battery and network efficient.

3. Very customisable views - easy to tweak.

4. Good use of limited screen space on iPhone

5. Lots of different views

My New Favourite

Tried a number of apps before this including Fantastical and Calendars 5.

They are all OK but I just prefer the look and feel of Calendar 366. The widgets are excellent and are pretty much perfect. The real winner for me is being able to separate reminders from the calendar with one easy press and also duplicating entries with a left swipe.

Currently my favourite calendar app and we’ll worth the outlay. Long may it stay this way. Happy to pay each year or for major updates.

Finally the calendar app I’ve been looking for!

I think I’ve tried every calendar app in the App Store, and each one has its shortcomings. Not this one, it is customisable enough to be meaningful to the way I work, but still easy to work with. Best of all, no subscription model!

Can’t search beyond 1 year!

I would change the rating to 5 stars if the calendar allows me to use the Search function to look up events beyond one year. I can find the event by scrolling but this makes the Search function useless. Everything else is amazing and great UI!

Doesn’t really handle attachments

I just have two requirements for a calendar app and these are to search past events (beyond a year) and to be able to open attachments (mainly word). This app will search but will not even show the attachments let alone open them unless they’re synced to icloud. My company will not allow my exchange account to be synced to icloud so this app just doesn’t do the job. Just cannot find an app that will do both. Other than the above the app is okay.

Great app but serious flaw

It's an almost perfect app in terms of functionally and design. The integration with Apple Maps is not great however - some addresses, oddly, are not recognised by Apple Maps from the in-app map view. Typing the same address manually into Apple Maps causes results in success so this seems to be a problem with the app. More seriously, inadvertently touching the map in the in-app view results in the location of the event being changed. This is a real problem: I assumed that touching the map would either open a larger map view or allow me to zoom in to the map but touching the map instead moves the map pin and the location of the event with no warning. This takes some of the shine off an otherwise outstanding app.

A fantastic app and an amazing dev. Priceless.

Edit: I struggled to use the Apple Watch app on a very old series 0 watch and contacted the developer who tackled the problem, immediately solving the issue after a few back and forth emails.Now everything just works. Amazing customer support. You really should check this app out. It’s a real gem which deserves a lot more attention.

I went looking for another calendar app after a certain well known calendar app I had been using for over five years decided to render my purchase largely invalid by switching to a subscription model. I’m sure you can guess who I’m referring to!

Anyway, Calendar366 gives me everything I need. Natural language entry, multiple views, travel time, calendar sets, invitations and attendees, attachments, x-callback-url schemes, reminder integration, and all of this for a very reasonable price. I wish I’d looked around at other calendar apps a lot earlier.

Very happy with this app and have also downloaded the trial Mac version to road test. It seems to also offer everything I need for less than a £15 one off purchase fee. I wish this developer well and look forward to using this app for some time. Keep the updates coming!

Best there is

The most comprehensive and genuinely useful feature set of any of the plethora of calendars apps available on iOS and Mac, no fluff (like weather forecasts, pfff!), just 100% bombproof integration with your existing calendars of pretty much any kind. Sync is fantastic, configuration is comprehensive and easy, UI a delight, natural language input works great. Reminders integration is there if you want it (toggles on/off). It really does everything better than any of the competition out there.

The Mac app is fundamentally a very powerful menu bar system, but the calendar can also be dragged onto the Desktop and resized, very flexible. Supports Maps, Spotlight, Alfred/Launchbar integration, Calendars sets, everything you could need, and is a great one-off price too (no subscription nonsense). The Apple Watch app is excellent too, easily the best in its class. iOS purchase is also terrific value, one purchase for iPad and iPhone, and Mac/iOS sync flawlessly.

In a nutshell, 366 v2 is the best of breed, and a spot over twenty UK pounds gets you the whole family for Mac, iOS and your Watch. Best money I've spent on apps in a very long time, and 366 comes wholeheartedly recommended.

A truly fantastic calendar

Rock solid visually, quick entry with natural language - and no additional nonsense.

I have used most of the leading calendar apps in the AppStore, and have always bounced off of them eventually for different reasons (poor ease of use, feature-bloat, obscure design, severe left-turns of business model...).

I would have saved myself time and money if I had found Calendar 366 first.

I particularly enjoy the customisable portrait and landscape mode view of my calendar (personal preference: week list in portrait, month list in landscape - they’re excellent!)

Perfect on iPhone, not so much on iPad

This app is my replacement for Fantastical. It’s clean and well designed, with a beautiful widget. It’s mostly perfect on iPhone.

But there’re some issues on iPad. In particular, it doesn’t work with split view very well. Some UI elements are cut off, e.g. task button, view buttons. The view buttons also jump around too much and have a dated ios 12 design.

Fantastic

After using for a day, I am very happy I purchased it - makes my life so much more organised! I was considering a popular calendar app such as Fantastical, but that is far too expensive for both iOS and MacOS, and really glad to have gone for this one instead, and would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of trying it out.

At first I was a little annoyed I had to purchase on iOS and MacOS separately, but on reflection I feel judging on that would be unfair due to the extra work (seeing as iOS and MacOS are completely different systems).

Worth the money

A really well structured and good looking calendar app. Easy to use and very nice UI.

Needs travel time to be included when booking appointments but on the whole a really nice modern calendar app. Beats most of others out there

Brilliant Calendar App

An absolutely fantastic app, with a great feature set. It is very well thought out and has a great, yet minimalistic, clean look.

It features both an Event and Reminders interface. A much welcomed recent addition is Location Based Reminders, a feature which the majority of Calendar apps are missing.

I particularly like the Month & List view and you can choose from a number of different colours and font sizes to personalise the interface.

I love the fact that you can add attachments, such as a photo or document, which you can then add a reminder to.

A couple of things I’d like to see in the future would be a built in Voice Recorder so you can quickly dictate a note, then add a reminder to it.

The other thing would be to be able to import more things from other apps via the Apple Share Sheet, such as notes or grocery lists from other apps, which would allow you to be able to manage all your daily tasks within the app. It would also allow you to add reminders where required.

In summary, a brilliant app which is well worthy of 5 stars, and is well worth the money.

I’ve also communicated with the app developer a number of times and I have to say, his customer service is excellent! A great guy!

Fantastic - but doesn't suit my needs

I've used a LOT of different calenders trying to find my favourite.

On first impressions this app seemed like it was going to be one of my favourites.

The reason for the one star rating and my claim that it doesn't suit my needs is because of how slow it syncs, especially with Google Calenders. My understanding is that this app relies upon the iPhone's inbuilt calender for its data.

I use Todoist as my task manager and synchronise the times with Google calender. As this is the case I need the calender to respond quick enough to not be prohibitive to my work flow (Google's own app and Calender 5 seem to manage this fine).

Went looking for a replacement calendar to replace the one I have been using for a few years now. Was pleased to discover this one. Lovely looking and works well, have installed on iPhone, iPad and Mac too.
