Description
Focos is a big step into the future of computational photography and light-field camera, bringing DSLR-like photography to your dual-camera iPhone and iPad Pro, with beautiful bokeh effects usually achievable only with professional large aperture cameras. Taking portrait photos is not possible on devices that lack dual cameras. It is therefore recommended that Focos is used on devices with dual cameras.

What's New in Version 1.7.1
- With augmented reality technique, you can check the portrait picture, add and control light sources in the real world while using the lighting tool. There's no need to drag the 3D coordinate system with your finger but instead of holding your iPhone to get close to the object or rotate around the object.
- Now the undo and redo buttons show at the top of title bar when you fold the history menu by tapping the bottom arrow icon. It's easier for drawing the depth map in the patch tool.

Quite cool, but doesn’t keep portrait data

Practical and intuitive interface. Easy and quick to use with a good amount of options.
But - and that is a big negative point for me - it doesn’t save photos as portraits/keeps the 3D metadata. Meaning the edit photos are not recognised as portrait. i.e. if you want to share the new edited image as a 3D photo on Facebook you are out of luck since the edited image won’t be available there, because Facebook doesn’t recognise it as portrait (just as the phone doesn’t as well).
This is a big negative point again, because more and more apps in the future will rely on the 3D “metadata” that should be kept when saving an image.
Hope this will be included in the future.
EDIT: thanks for replying! That is unfortunate, but I understand it is a technical limitation. After understanding that I’ve decided to increase the score. Keep up the great work and thanks!

I've been into photography for 15 plus years. I've had multiple full frame cameras, spent so much money on it. But now I start questioning whether I still need all that expensive gear when computational photography has advanced so much. This app raises the quality bar so high! Highly recommend it

First of all, I would like to say that this app is brilliant. Changing the depth manually, adding in light sources and editing bokeh is something I never knew I needed. My pictures are crisp.
However, it doesn’t load all of my pics. For example, I was recently sent a portrait pic by someone. I saved it thinking I could edit in Focos but the pics aren’t there. Would be better if we had that ability to import saved pics.
Thank you for the app though. It’s brilliant.

This app is great at analysing an image and creating a 3D depth map automatically. The other features are good to! It's a shame apple restrict this feature in iOS for the iphone 10 as it's just as capable of creating dynamic DOF as the iphone Xs. Just a way of getting people to upgrade I guess and nothing to do with the hardware. Not five stars yet as I am giving them room to update it with new features but well done!

I love how this lets me edit portrait photos after they have been taken. Watching the Apple presentation of the Xs and knowing I have already been adjusting the bokeh with my X for nearly a year. Only comment would be that I’d love an iPad version to have a bigger screen for editing on.
