Found my match!
I enjoyed the interface and the fact that there’s a limit on profiles you can view in a day. It stops you from mindlessly swiping! After a year or so on the app, and a fair few matches and chats, I matched with my now fiancé! We’re getting married in a month, so thank you salt!

Great app, easy layout, nice features. However, to have premium features behinds such a ridiculously expensive pay wall is extortion. Who in their right mind would pay £25 a month for premium, or even £12.49 for one week.
Look here, we want to honour our Christian values, but give us your money first.

Best Christian dating App
I’ve used Salt on and off over the last few years and matched with several people, chatted with most of them. I like the format and being able to choose which responses to give and I do think you get more for free than any other app. It’s a little frustrating to not be able to see all your matches as a free user but I do think you get to see them anyway. I really love all the additional content on YouTube, third wheel dates is a favourite but it feels like Santa really have a heart to not only help people connect but to put Jesus in the centre of people’s journey no matter what stage of that journey they’re on. I think any frustrations I’ve had have been more about just not finding matches that really develop which isn’t down to salt.
I’m deleting the app though now as I’ve matched with someone amazing.

Its very easy to understand and use. My only problem is how you have to be a plus member to refine your search at all
I want to refine my search to UK (preferably nearby) and my age. Whereas to do that i would have to pay. My concern here is also does this mean anyone of any age can see anyone’s profile? Can a 50 year old man see an 18 year old’s profile?

Toxic and unchristian - lack of user support
I have experienced bullying from members with whom matches didn’t worry out. And I have had women be shockingly inappropriate and unchristian in their approach to dating. A few ladies I’ve matched with have also told me that they had horrible experiences with some of their matches and people I know from church who have met her from the app have unanimously said their experiences of internet dating have been awful.
I looks like this a failed project, unless Salt can fix this somehow. There are however some lovely people here. I just have to decide whether to stay for them.

Swipe limit
I don't use this app often at all. Yet the couple of times I have used it I can swipe no more than 2 people. Despite having now paid for premium it's still the case. I also don't have strict criteria set. What's the point of an app to connect with people if you can't really connect at all?

Good app!
Great app and I did enjoy chatting with nice and friendly people there. It’s easy to get match and likes unlike other platforms and you can also video call your match. The downside to it is there is no place for audio call, it doesn’t show online status and if someone has read your messages or not, which some people might prefer for their privacy purpose. Also sometimes you get a message and it doesn’t notify you, I have to open the app to find list of messages waiting for me. Overall it’s a great app did not regret using it, their are nice, well mannered people on there.

I heard about Salt from a friend of a friend back in 2017. She’d met a lovely man on there and were still dating. I checked it out back then but I wasn’t really taking online dating seriously, so it was short lived. It seemed like too much effort and there wasn’t enough choice or data on the profiles. Fast forward to 2023 and another friend brings up the app after I told her about my relationship woes and my breakup at 39. There were now 4 people I knew who met their spouses on Salt - all were married and one had a baby. I thought to myself, I like these odds and I don’t want anymore timer wasters, so I jumped back on the app late last year. I found they’d revamped the app and the updates must’ve made a difference because I found a really great guy on there after about 6 weeks. It’s only been a couple of months and I wanted to waited before posting a review to see if it would stick, but I’m really filled with faith in this one. Thanks Salt, you saved the day.

An actually positive man’s experience
Finally, an app where I feel I’m not being grossly manipulated and badgered every which way to rinse me and psychologically tortured to destroy my sense of self. I’ve actually had a positive experience with it. It has an air of honesty about how its functioning in the background and for that, it’s earned a little trust from me. Would recommend.

It’s a good app for what it does but it needs to either delete old profiles or hide profiles of non active users. Also needs to users more options of search filter such as ethnicity etc. the old account is a main one. I am a premium user and defo found this is an issue

Salt Third Wheel Dates
The response I received by one of their team members called Jack in regards to the message I sent about my fears and concerns in regards to being on the salt third wheel date was filled with empathy, understanding and kindness and he also didn’t write me off, he encouraged me to apply in the future if I choose to, I don’t know if I would but the fact that he encouraged me and reassured me with how supportive his team are was good enough for me.

I found some nice decent women on the app and got some good conversations flowing, until I found out their true intentions. Self centered, stringing you along and all of a sudden not interested in you. Reason being they all of a sudden busy with life and work and leaving you to dry on the side. Wonder why still so many single people…. 👎

Review of Salt App
A colleague recommended the Salt dating app as a great way to meet likeminded Christians. I agree, as the features of the app are good as there are useful prompts to describe ones interests/hobbies which helps when reviewing a profile.
I would recommend one small feature that a verified badge be included on profiles that have been verified by the Salt team, for verification purposes.

Honestly SALT is great but one thing that really and severely let’s it down is that it has no way of verifying a profile!
Compared to Bumble, which is incredible at verifying who you are talking to with a ‘selfie’ for their team to approve as your profile is created is phenomenal.
In these times we are living in and especially this being a Christian dating app, this is very important and for safety reasons I can’t rate this highly at the moment as some users are clearly not the person you are talking to in their profile and can end up being a completely different person!
Please sort out verification otherwise you will get a lot of fake profiles and a lot of people pretending to be someone else, which I unfortunately have experienced and others using peoples photos!

Rubbish app, the truth is they need to sort out getting the app sorted out , the software to capture your head , face for a real you, is poorly designed, I spent ages trying to jump through there hoops, the setting are not working fast enough.
After you given permission to use your face and agreed to your right name and date of birth, then it moves on taking a real life image of you, we’ll I would say maybe do this outside, as it just couldn’t get the right image of me, I mean I

Waste of space!
I used this app for over a few years now. The result is 0! I had a few matches with a few ghost profiles. Like other apps in the market. Then I had my own doubts and to test this app I paid and suddenly the conversation was coming through from profiles. Then I cancelled my subscription. Now I get 3 swipes a day I tried to contact their customer service a few times to have a chat about it. No one got back to me. Your company is called SALT for a reason and you haven't been a SALT so far! I honestly think this is another fake money-grabbed app using Christians to make their day-to-day living! Disappointed whoever is behind this. I feel this is not a legit app! If you are then put your company profile on Google and everywhere else for people to give their feedback. Can't find you anywhere on the Main sites to give you feedback apart from here. Try to hide behind having negative feedback.

My personal experience!
I must start off by saying that SALT is probably one of the best Christian dating platforms I’ve used in terms of user accessibility. It’s pretty easy to set up a profile and unlike many other platforms you can interact with people for free without having to pay if you match with someone. I do like the fact that you can’t message people randomly without matching although you can send intros. I believe this keeps users safe from receiving unwanted/unwelcome messages. Another plus for me is that you can’t see when someone is on or offline, I assume this is SALT’s way of protecting/guarding users hearts, and the limited swipes can help mitigate spending too much time on the platform which can absolutely be unhealthy. I decided to give the one month premium feature a shot and I can say that I will not be renewing my membership. The lesson learnt for me is that I wasn’t missing out on much at all except from being able to see all my likes at one time. I say this because even though you get to see a few extra profiles you still may not match with anyone and reach your limit for the day if all the people you swipe do not fit a specific criteria such as denomination or smoking status. I think it would be good if religious denomination and smoking habits as well as other values of great importance in building a healthy relationship could be selected within the preference settings other than age and distance (just a suggestion). Also having the premium feature made me realise that SALT is still a growing platform in terms of numbers in comparison to other sites as I kept on seeing the same profiles over and over again, but I understand this is something out of SALT’s control. So if you’d like to save some extra monies stick to SALT’s free option, as mentioned earlier you can STILL talk to people for free without the premium feature if you match. Although I know SALT says they try to limit the amount of time individuals spend on the app I did find that if I didn’t engage with the app I wouldn’t get much interaction, which made me feel spending time on it was necessary… I guess it’s an algorithm thing. I don’t regret signing up to SALT and I think it’s a wonderful way to connect with other Christian’s and I believe the new feature ‘TABLE’, where you can listen to speakers and join in with online discussions is really good. Lastly I think it’s great this platform is free for users and I think being able to give towards such an organisation is a great way to support the potential of future godly marriages being birthed.

Good app, an idea to improve
I’ve been on the app for a few months now and when it’s come to the time to unmatch with someone I usually send a message, which once the match is removed they don’t see - I don’t realise this!
It would be good that if once you go to unmatch with someone there is an optional chance to send a last message/all the best wishes message. I would hate to think that people feel I’ve unmatched without a reason, especially after talking with them! Thanks

This app is annoying for a lot of reasons, the straw that’s broken the camels back is an irritating notifications that pops up every time you open the app until you allow notifications (you can’t prevent this), It’s bad UX design.
It’s also a shame other apps based on hooking up make it easier for you to meet someone without paying. A Christian dating app is such a blessed ministry but this feels like all business and it near impossible to get matches unless your paying. Unfortunately this drives people to other apps

Best Christian dating app but could improve
Seem like there is a fair few ladies who actually want to talk and meet, this is a great thing. Personally not sure about the quality of folks on here, but the app can’t do much about that.
It’s still quite expensive to be a member which is STILL frustrating, try to find like minded Christian really should cost us loads of money (I just stick with being a non member but go on almost everyday to try to up the statistics of a match.
Think we should get some membership perks every month just 30 extra profile views of people. Spice it up a bit. Plenty of ways you can add different new ideas to this app.

Good app but unhelpful when you need help on an issue
This is a good app, with helpful information on dating and a YouTube channel. However, I had recent issue and I found the customer service unhelpful and dismissive. This is disappointing but maybe they can improve on this.

Too many notifications, top-down model.
Recent ‘Table’ features result in way too many notifications. 3/4 an hour. I therefore turned notifications off, which means I don’t get notifications I am interested in, interaction with members.
Doesn’t seem to be any support mechanism beyond pushing support material towards users, no mechanism to request help/comment.
Not my fave dating app by any means.
I can’t get this app to work. I have entered my name, a statement about faith, I’ve tried to upload a photo after which it says ‘not so fast’ with a list of things I need to do but no way of doing them. There is no ‘click here’ etc to be able to make the requested changes and when I go back and try to find a way there is none (I also can’t go on desktop to solve the problems). Poor user experience.

Was really looking forward to trying what I’ve heard was good Christian app, but my experience has been disappointing after having the app for months
-It’s ‘free’ but then you have to pay to see who likes you, and when you don’t the people who’ve liked you are wiped from your likes. (They should operate like Hinge when you can work through people who have sent you likes..)
**Basically pay or they’ll wipe any interest you’ve received** this was so annoying, and goes against the idea of finding someone??
- People outside of your preferences (in my case age and distance preferences) are able to message you, even though you have put filters on
- You get notifications for events and videos all the time, even when you’ve turned them off
(Out of Salt’s control, but) I live in a big city and unfortunately even then there’s barely any one on the app, so with all that combined don’t think it’s an app worth keeping

Great app very similar to tinder for those who have used that and I like the features about being able to see who you’ve liked and swiped past, best of all though it’s free to use giving you a real chance to actually chat and speak to people unlike a certain all that charges £25.00 a month for the privilege. Plus being invited to online speed dating is another great feature. Whilst I haven’t met anyone yet I would highly recommend it.

Happily married thanks to this app!
It definitely works! Matched with my now-husband on Christmas Eve 2019, got engaged in 2021 and been happily married for nearly 2 years. My Maid of Honour went on to meet her now-husband on Salt too, and another friend is planning to get engaged to their Salt match in the very near future. So yeah, it works as intended!

A bit disappointed with premium version
I am bit disappointed with this app ngl. I would love to support a Christian app but I don’t think the premium version of this app is worth the money, best to stay with the free version.
I’m paying for the premium version yet only got to see like 12 new profiles on the first day. After that says you’ve reached the limit. Day two, the profiles I get to see are all from my list of the people who already like me, so no one new. You’re essentially just paying to see the full list of the people who you already have access to, no new people. Had high hopes but I’m disappointed.

Review of admin support
I reported an issue where I had blocked some profiles as I didn’t want to see them again, knowing i’d not be interested, but noticed that a few of them were sitting in the “likes you” section - I reported this to admin, and with Jack’s help, this has been reported to IT (who have found a bug and are going to rectify it), and in the meantime - Jack have me a week’s free Premium to try out.
I was able to see all my “likes you” profiles, though only 1 of the 52 ppl in there was actually attractive to me!? 🙈 Herein lies my problem - and I don’t think I’m overly fussy, so seem to be attracted to non Christian guys more, which isn’t helpful 🙃

Maybe you need a break
I joined SALT twice. Initially I felt that I had no real matches. There were tons of Christians but something important always felt like it didn’t quite match. So I came off and returned back after 2 months. The second time started more positively but again after a few conversations with others, things either fizzled out or one person stopped replying or I realised that we weren’t a match. BUT, by God’s beautiful design I did meet someone who matched perfectly (and was attractive-because that is important too) and was super intentional. So SALT really did begin the journey of a beautiful relationship and future marriage. My top tip is just to be patient and intentional. Know what you’re looking for, know where there’s wiggle room and where there isn’t. Also, use your profile to clearly communicate what you want. A clear profile with complete information really does help to vet someone before becoming emotionally involved.

Premium not worth it so far
App is VERY basic, could do with lot of improvements and functionality. When messaging someone new, the text bubble often glitches, taking up the whole screen. I then have to close and re-open. Then that person doesn’t show up as someone I’ve seen. Photos.. please allow an option to zoom and ideally view the actual photo, not limited to the salt framing.
On the plus side, you can potentially find like minded people as slowly more people seem to be joining.

Really appreciate that Salt is a high quality app, easy to use, and allows you to meet serious, single Christians.
Improvement suggestions: a) filter for denomination, as a large number of my swipes are used on denominations I wouldn’t be compatible with, b) being able to see at least 20 of your likes on the free version - it takes a very long time to match otherwise

Great App but way too Expensive
Salt is a great app and it has everything one can expect from a dating app.
But the premium version is too expensive to say the least. It cost more than all my TV subscriptions put together per month to join premium - its outrages! There is no value for money here and doesn’t even compete price wise to other dating services.
So yeah finally a great dating app for Christians but it’s a shame the premium is unaffordable, for a religious based app it’s kind of ironic.
Half the prices on premium and that would be a good place to start and maybe more people would use premium and the ones paying for it now don’t have to bite there lip every time they see Salt charges. Thanks

Found the love of my life
I met the love of my life through SALT. I only had the app to try and feel validated again and yes there were creepy people and I never in a million years would have thought I would have met someone through a dating app. But I met my now fiancé through this app he messaged me so friendly and not flirty or creepy and j agreed to meet and chat about Jesus as friends and then before we knew it we were hanging out more we went on a date and 5 months later he’s proposing to me. It was SO easy and comfortable. I know he is my husband and this is the man god has prepared for me. Give it a try. What is the worst that can happen.

Salt App Review
This is the first time I’ve downloaded a dating app. I like the design and think that features such as the swipe limit and profile settings are well considered.
I have decided to take a break from the app after the usual problems of dating apps such as ghosting (which I hoped wouldn’t happen on a christian app)! I know this sort of thing isn’t the fault of the app creators, just reflective of people I’ve encountered. Hopefully others will have a better experience!

Doesn’t appear to be run by Christians
I paid £72 for a years subscription and then tried to fill out my profile to find that it wouldn't save photos or question answers. I contacted IT who gave some suggestions such as a logging out ect. Nothing worked. I asked for my subscription to be refunded so that I could close the account and open another one in a few weeks time to see whether it resolved the problem. After being ignored for sometime I was eventually told that the subscription couldn't be refunded when premium features have been activated. Except they haven't because I don't have a working profile. I know I couldn't keep £72 of someone's money for a service that I didn't deliver, so have come to the conclusion that this site isn't run by Christians. Use Christian Connection instead as that one does have moral standards and isn't plagued by technical problems. Money down the drain.

A success for me!
I’ve been on a number of Christian Dating websites in the past. However Salt is by far the best one out there due to the fact that: 1. You only talk to people you match with (meaning there are less people ignoring you, sending abuse, or people you have to awkwardly turndown) 2. It’s free!! I’ve been using the app for a number of months now, and after not giving up I eventually found someone who I absolutely adore (and she adores me too). Hopefully we will have a long future together. For me it is a success story, so I can certainly recommend Salt. Forget about Christian Mingle or Christian Connection and their silly payment plans, there’s a new app in town and it’s a way better experience in pretty much every way. EDIT: We have now been married for over a year ❤️

Good app but can be better.
I like that this app is for Christians and has great question prompts.
However, once you have liked someone you can’t look back and see the profile of the people you have liked.
Also, you only have a certain amount of swipes a day which can be quite annoying if you are seeing the type of people you would be interested in.
I think they need a broader preference section. There is not a section where you can what you are looking for physically. I understand we are Christians but people still have physical preferences and considering you have a certain amount of swipes per day. I find myself swiping more people i am not remotely interested in compared to actual candidates that i would be interested in.

I am not sure whether the likes are genuine after this discovery. I hope that it may be changed after I write this review. This is what happened to me when I changed the gender preference to both genders. After doing so, I saw the likes that I had been less by 75% (the opposite gender, I hope you would get it). Then a thought came to me to change the gender to the same gender. I only found that only 5% were the ones who made likes from the opposite gender. I concluded that the likes are programmed. I hope it is not the same. If it is, it is not genuine at all. I will give you the three stars to encourage you to do better as a Christian dating app.

Unable to see Likes
It is a decent app and I love how it is Christian focused, however it has the most annoying feature where it randomly selects the likes people give you and when you’re able to see them . Currently I have 50+ likes which the app has not allowed me to view for over a week!
it’s obviously a way to get me to pay for the app, so if your not willing to pay in the first instance I don’t think it’s worth using.
Now that I think of it probably no one is able to see any likes and it becomes counter productive. We’re all just liking people without being able to actually see if they like us back (unless you pay of course, but paying doesn’t guarantee that the ones you liked have actually liked you back) 😂

Quite good but with flaws
This app has proven to be good in that it seems to have genuine christians on there and the numbers are quite good. The app design is quite cool. The fact it stops you swiping is also good as otherwise youll be there all day lol and its nice you can go back and change your mind on people.
However the biggest flaws is security. There is no proof needed for photos meaning its easy to set up fake accounts and catfish people. The location feature can be turned off and you can say youre anywhere.
There are fake accounts on this app and its easy to get away with it. More needs to be done to protect people. It shows a lack of wisdom when generating this app.

Would Recommend - now married :)
I found the app very easy to use and it’s great that there are free features. I started using it when it launched and so unsurprisingly there was a period of waiting for other people to join, particularly in the North of England! (It seemed more popular in London initially).
I think there is an element of perseverance and frustration in all dating apps / ventures! Thankfully I did meet a wonderful man early 2020 and we married just before Christmas. So I would recommend anyone to give this a try as you never know where it may lead you ❤️ Thank you team salt xx

Slow and buggy
This app is extremely slow and full of bugs. There are way too many to mention but here are a few:
1. Often it shows me the same people to swipe on several times a day, even though I’ve skipped them - the same person will pop up after 1 or 2 more swipes.
2. Sometimes I get shown someone I’ve liked before and when I like them for the second time it matches. When it should have matched when we liked eachother for the FIRST time.
3. So many times I send a message and it’s not send or it says ‘sending’ forever.
4. They frequently do online dating events but the free and lower priced tickets ‘sell out’ literally within minutes of the release, which quite frankly I don’t believe. It’s a ploy to make you buy the more expensive tickets. I did the speed dating once and I got matched with people I said no to and no matches with people I said yes to (maybe they just didn’t like me, maybe it’s a problem with this app- we will never know!).
5. The pictures load slowly or not at all. Everything is sooo slow.
I keep updating my app to get the latest bug fixes but as time goes on there only seems to be more issues.
In short it’s a struggle to find matches and communicate with them which is the whole purpose of a dating app, so unfortunately I’ve given up.

Impressed
I’m impressed at how Christian focused this app really is. I really respect and appreciate their strategy and goal. An app like this feels much safer and reassuring that you’ll find a match who appreciates your faith.
I wish there were more search parameters similar to Bumble where I can more accurately refine my swipe list. For just one example I don’t drink so it would be helpful to remove those who do from my swipe list.
Also it would be good to be able to send images in the messenger. This would be a safe way to share more information before taking the step to share personal contact info.

I think Salt is ok because I like the fact that Christian people can connect with each other and not be judged for their faith. What would make this app better, in my humble opinion, is that the ‘Match Percentage’ feature (just like on OkCupid) should be there, to help Salt members to know who their best match is. I think it would also be helpful if a verification symbol was next to Salt users names (just like Badoo), to show other users that they’re real people and not a catfish. Maybe a phone call feature could be included as well? I know a lot of people especially women who prefer to speak to other people on dating apps for a while instead of rushing in to exchange mobile numbers to text and ring new people until they’ve gotten to know new people more.

At the very least can we filter height?
It’s a clean app and feels very modern, these are the positives. However you can’t even filter by height which is a basic, so after your allotted swipes a day (even after you pay for premium) 90% of those may be 5”1, which makes the whole experience quite tiring as now you have to wait till the next day and just pray that least there’s is someone taller than 5”1. It would be a better user experience if we had a few extra filters. After my premium runs out I won’t be renewing it, the only real benefit of premium is seeing who has liked you. It’s an okay app just not all that great to use, lovely concept.

Good, could be better
On the whole, the app is great. I really like how you can throw loads of information on your profile, meaning there is more to it than just swiping because someone looks good in their photo. However, I’ve reached a point where the app is pretty much pushing me to pay for premium - which I don’t want to do.
I’ve apparently seen everyone within my parameters, but I don’t want to change them as the age gap will become too big and the distance will become unreasonable. All of the people who “like” me are blurred out, meaning I can’t see them; however, seeing as I’ve seen everyone they should show up in my skip history... but most of those are blurred out too. With the app not showing me historic people on the meet screen, all I can do now is wait for someone to become un-blurred, which doesn’t seem to be happening.
A good app, but quite restricting if you’re not willing to pay for the premium upgrade.

Great idea but impractical
I love the idea of this app but the limit of people you get to see makes it not really worth it. As Christians we know what we are looking for, the filter options are very limited so most of the people you see are not people you are interested in. Eg. Personally divorced/separated and guys with kids are not something I’m looking for but there’s no option to filter them out. I can’t imagine many people meet their match here unfortunately. The ethos behind the limited matches is really negated by the Tinder feel ‘like what you see’. Certainly does not give an option to pray before contacting someone as they will have disappeared if you don’t immediately click ‘like’ or whatever.

Solid App (But chat frustrating)
I have no issues regarding the quality of the app - safe, easy to set up & use. My frustration is with the people you match with. The last 3 girls I’ve matched with, haven’t bothered to respond to any of my numerous friendly & polite messages. It’s very frustrating & quite hurtful! (They could even select unmatch If they’re no longer interested, rather than blank me) If you are going to use the app please have the decency & good manners to respond to people’s messages!

Slow and not engaging enough
I find it quite slow when it comes to finding matches. After it finally matches it’s so frustrating that the men do usually not take initiative! Or ages to respond. Or for not particular reason remove you. Also it seems as if people are not engaging and not showing any interest and effort to get to know you.
The app is also very slow and fails often to send notifications! Meaning that slows down even further the whole process of getting closer!
Compared to CDFF it’s much safer and cleaner when it comes to decency and kindness but it is definitely difficult to meet someone here!!!

A great easy to use..
Wow it’s so good to finally find a dating app for Christians that is at the palm of my hands.
I really think this app is great way to meet people from different churches, that you know are hopefully on this app for similar reasons to you and a Christian whose actually looking for a Christian partner too. You can easily choose you radius like other apps and picking location close to you and age range preferred. There’s great profile ideas and there’s also a subscription to message people it’s really developing well!! Thanks guys !!
The messaging could be slightly changed where you could maybe reply to the message like you can with messenger and whatsapp and maybe even a notification sound or vibration.
I had a lot a matches quickly and found it easy to use. I did have a few problems but I met someone pretty awesome!!
Christians give it a try it’s simple and easy to use.. see if you’ll meet someone extra special too..
The team are helpful and there’s some good FAOs on the app to help you if your stuck !!

Fantastic app with potential to get better
It’s a fantastic app, with lovely graphics and easy to use functionality. Really love how it’s more encouraging and seems to get every personality or style of denomination.
I do have some suggestions though... There are girls that I’ve not liked, probably by accident and wished I could’ve gone back or they’d pop up again. I think it would be great if the only girls you see daily could still be available, at least for that day so they can always come back round again. Only because I pressed the wrong button on someone I know because I freaked out originally, but then I wanted to go back and realised I couldn’t, it seems to just end.
I understand that you have to pay to see who likes you but you do get a free one every now and then. For me there doesn’t seem to be a lot of girls in my area so it suggests to look further a field, which I’m not comfortable doing, it might be nice to access at least one girl who likes you a day? I think that’s fair... The subscription is just a bit too pricey for me but I understand.
This is overall a great app and I’ve recommended it quite a lot and will continue to do so.

Great concept
The concept is great love the simplicity and usability of the interface. I think the limited swipes do help me too it’s great. The only problem is interacting with people that i like and they like me back. I have 5 current messages sent to me but unfortunately i can’t respond because i’d have to pay to access. This makes me think if it’s even worth it unless there is the option to talk for free once both members have liked each other i don’t see the free access whatsoever thanks for trying to make this app work and it’s understandable that there needs to be ways of profit for the life of the app, it’s just not helping the users in certain ways and could be executed better :)

This dating site is better than Christian Connection. 👍🏽 It is more affordable! 😃 I like the fact that it only gives you a certain number of matches everyday so you don’t feel overwhelmed. It doesn’t show other people that you are online which is very important to me. I give it a 4 star only because Once I have scrolled down through all my matches for the day I can’t go back and take another look 😒So make sure you press the like button when you see a potential please! 🥰😉

Really good concept very inaccessible to screen-readers
Firstly, I honestly think the concept of this app is great, it’s good to know that people are aware that Christians want to find like-minded Christians and pursue a relationship. I think it’s even better that the app is free as we all know, so many dating apps these days just want to take your money for the simplest features such as seeing who’s liked you and messaging. However, upon downloading the app just now, I have found that it is extremely inaccessible to screen-readers. I am blind and use voice-over on my phone to navigate apps ETC, however this app is very inaccessible and voice-over cannot interact with the various buttonss. I haven’t even been able to fully complete the signup process! I would recommend that the developers look at how other apps/websites have implemented accessibility features within their interfaces and that they at least consider labelling the buttons, so that a screen-reader can read them. This is the only Barrier preventing me from using the app which is very unfortunate because, as I said, I love the concept. Really hope you take this into consideration.

Amazing app. Well designed. Cool and modern. The “swipe” feature ensures only people who like each other can message each other — saving time and people’s feelings from pointless messaging. It’s Christ-centred. As for the h8ers who are complaining that the swipe cap of 50 or so a day is not enough: ask yourself if that’s not enough what is? This is a Christian app, so it’s surely appropriate to have a cap to encourage people to at least browse some of the written profile information. If you could browse 800 people a day you’d simply have no time to read anything. The only thing the app developers need to do is restore the “who likes you” feature. Also in the distance settings change units from kilometres to miles please. This is Great Britain, not France :-D

I love that this is free and talking about your faith is free too! It’s both frustrating and beneficial to only see a limited number of people per day. It stops you being obsessed with it. I love that people are only permitted to message you if you both like each other. Another app lets people message you when they are not your criteria or out of area, it’s a bit awkward to say thanks but no thanks. Only problem is that there’s not enough people on here!

Great .....
At last we have a dating site for Christians with Christians in charge of the site . My only comment would be that the bar for age is very short..... I seem only to see people who are in their 50’s
and I am sure there are folk out their looking for a match round about their own age. I think being able to see who liked you is essential so hopefully you will decide to keep it after your trial.
I had cause to contact your office and was impressed with the quick response...... thank you and well done for acknowledging that Christian singles are out here looking for relationships with other Christians.

You get what you give..
Dear single Christians out there. I found my partner on SALT back in September 2018 when it had just launched. With that I cannot speak for the interface as it was a while ago and I presume that it has changed somewhat since then.
This app introduced me to several really amazing people and broke through the boundaries sometimes found at the beginning of a new relationship in that we both knew what we’re were in this for. I found that quite helpful.
I have heard some negative responses from using this app but I believe that like most things, you get out of it what you put into it.
Are there weird ppl on it, probably, are you being honest about what you want? Are you being honest about who you are? Are you making sure you honour your matches by being prudent to check for replies and responding accordingly? Are you open to being introduced to come one you don’t think is your Boaz?
If no then this app probably isn’t for you.

Overall a good app
I am enjoying using this app and think it’s the best online Christian dating app that I have used, however, I really am not a fan of the fact that there is a daily swipe limit. I feel that this just limits the amount of people you could potentially connect with and I don’t see its purpose. I feel that removing this limit would improve the overall user experience of this app. Also, I attempted to type in the URL to complete the survey (to unlock the new feature) but an error message just kept coming up saying that I had typed in the URL incorrectly (which I hadn’t because I had checked several times).
Despite these issues, this is generally quite a good app.

Great app, a few point to improve.
I really recommend this app, is really fun, intuitive and and do the purpose of the app, basically meeting Christians around. I gave 5 stars because it does well. But I would like to writing down a few recommendations. Salt team could you please allow on the IPad app to change the screen from vertical to horizontal. That make my life easier to write and chat with my IPAD keyboard. Is all I can say. Thank you anyway.

Good App but takes a while to match
Great Christian dating app, love the interface and design.
Like a lot of users I have my frustrations about the swipe limit as it seemed to take forever to find any matches. I’ve used other Christian dating sites and it never took that long to match with people. I understand their reason behind it and I although I like it, perhaps even an increase in the limit would help. The app is about connecting people but the small swipe limit, well, very much limits your ability to actually connect with anyone.
However, the new feature that just dropped, now allows you to see who has liked you...if you refer a friend and they sign up...I did all that and unlocked the feature. Turns out I had a lot of people who had liked me and was able to quickly find some matches! Though yet to start any conversations with them. I think this is a great feature to have and helps connect you quicker with people you like. Negative point: there were some people who liked me that I had already previously clicked liked on. But yet we weren’t appearing as a match? But when I clicked into the profile to like it again it then matched us. So I’m not sure if there is a glitch there or if it’s a case of double profiles?
Anyway great app, great job at listening to what your users want and making changes you feel are good but also don’t compromise what you believe in so fair play!

Love the idea but not loving the execution
The limited swiping is an issue because you just can’t really get anywhere, each persons profile doesn’t give you any idea of where they live which is really unhelpful. Also matches keep disappearing and reappearing at the moment which makes it so difficult to have a proper conversation with anyone. Another thought is that instead of swiping and never being able to see the profile again it would helpful if ones you swipe yes on could collect somewhere and the ones you swipe no on could have an undo option

Good but not great yet
Just started using the app and liking it so far. The message part of the app isn’t great - it’s quite difficult to review what you’ve written and you can’t scroll back up to see the previous message when you are writing a reply. Also several times I’ve tried to go back to edit something I’ve written but ended up sending an incomplete message instead.
Also why is the distance in kilometres not miles? And why is there no way to set a location?

Great start but could be improved
I like the basics of this app and it’s just what the Christian world of dating needs. But the swipe limit is too low to really get anywhere - I get the reasoning behind it but it would still keep that ethos without being so frustrating if the limit was increased by quite a lot.
The distance thing doesn’t work well at all - after limited swipes it’s really frustrating to be matched with someone who lives at the other end of the country. It would make so much more sense if the town or city people live in could be displayed.
Also, matches and chats disappear and then reappear after a couple days which has meant that I have thought I’ve been unmatched when I haven’t and the person I’ve stated chatting with thinks I’m ignoring them.
However, as I said, the makings of a great app - I’m hoping to see some of the things I (and others) have mentioned being added in as it has a great deal of potential 😊

Good, could be better
I think this app is exactly what the Christian world needs. It’s clean, youthful, easy to use etc. Only thing is that it has a swipe limit which with the app being so brand new and not that many people on it, it makes it really frustrating to use. Due to there not being that many people on it yet, you can use up all your swipe limit on No’s instead of hearts and hardly match with anyone. Then you have to wait till the next day, just to swipe no to everyone again! I think the app is a fab idea and could really change Christian dating apps for the better but I think with it being in the early stages it might be best to remove the swipe limit for now because it will drive people away. My friends can no longer be bothered with it because it’s taking to long just to get a conversation started.

Long distance
I really like salt, it’s free, fast and has phone x support but I do have a few complaints. I have on multiple occasions been matched with people who have been lovely but they are at the other end of the country and so I decreased my distance and now have one or two matches a day. So I would recommend a distance away from you on your profile or even put what city you live in so that it is clear and also just promote salt to churches and really help Christian dating enter the 21st century. Hope this helps.

Great concept but needs some enhancement
I develop software for a living and think that Salt is a well put together and useful app meeting a real need in the Christian community. However, there are a few things that would help it be better. 1 A user guide, 2 City/County of person, 3 A save location where potential matches could be saved. 4 Improved messaging 5 While I understand the reason for the daily limit you should be able to review all matches within that limit for the day unless you remove them.

Wow! Salt is brilliant - where do I start? I’ve used paid for apps and websites over the years and this is better than most. Design is slick and modern and it’s really easy to navigate around, match and message. As a Christian, it’s really important for me to meet other Christians and so a Christian-specific app is great. The profiles all seem genuine which is rare on dating apps these days!! It will be interesting to see what other features they introduce in the future but, for a completely free app, no complaints at all!!
