What's New in Version 4.0
This update adds a brand-new Pinned tab! You can now pin specific trains and journeys for easy access later on.
Key features of the new Pinned tab include:
● You can reorder pinned trains and journeys by pressing and holding them, then dragging them to where you want in the list.
● Pinned trains and journeys will save the last refreshed data, which you can see by opening the train or journey from the Pinned tab.
● An easy-to-use pin button at the bottom of train and journey details screens.
● Another pin button slides up if you tap the train or journey info box at the top.
● If a train or journey is pinned, it will have a little pin icon in the info box.
In addition to the new tab, we added the following new feature:
● You can now tap on stops to open the station departure and arrival boards.
● When you tap on a stop there is also an option to open the station in Maps.
We’ve also improved how the saved and recent routes work:
● The “Saved” tab has been renamed “Routes”, to make it clearer what it’s for.
● Station codes are now used, so route titles are faster to read. If you prefer the full names though, you can change it back in the side menu Settings options.
● Each reversible route now has a reverse button, which opens the reverse of the route with one tap.
● Saved and recent Planner routes now open a “Choose options” screen, so you can tweak the time option before making the search.
● Routes are now easier to save thanks to the new save button at the bottom of the results, and the save button that slides up if you tap the route info box.
● If a route is saved, it will have a little star icon in the info box.
And we’ve added the following options to the Settings screen in the side menu:
● You can now choose to see platform forecasts in the “Live trains” tab. They are a provisional guide only but will hopefully be useful nonetheless!
● You can choose to show the distances of nearby stations on the “Choose station” screen in either miles or kilometres.
● You can change the display appearance so Railboard always shows in Dark Mode if you wish.
