How to register:
You will need a UK mobile number, a working email address and some photographic ID (a passport or driving licence). Then simply follow the onscreen instructions.

Invoicing and banking in one app is here! Creating, sending and managing invoices when they’re paid just got quicker and easier. Tap on the new “Accounting” tab to open your “Accounting dashboard”. Tap on “Sales invoices” to start creating invoices.
- Create sales invoices. Create a new invoice for a customer and add invoice items to set the quantity, unit price and VAT rate for the work you have done. You can drag and drop invoice items to re-order them.
- Draft sales invoices. View a list of all draft sales invoices. Left swipe to delete a draft from the list or tap on one to edit or approve.
- Unpaid sales invoices. View a list of all unpaid sales invoices.
- Late sales invoices. At a glance see invoices that customers are overdue to pay. This makes it easier for you to identify the invoices that need to be chased.
- Paid sales invoices. View a list of all paid sales invoices.
- PDF invoices. When you’ve approved an invoice you can view it as a PDF.
- Email invoices. When you’ve approved an invoice you can email the invoice to your customer with the PDF version attached.
- Auto-match payments. When a payment is received into your Countingup account for an unpaid invoice we auto-match the two together. This updates the invoice as paid. On your “Banking” screen, transactions that are matched to an invoice are highlighted.
- Manually match payments. If needed you can manually match a payment to an invoice.
- Renamed menu options. We’ve renamed the “Account” menu to “Banking” and “Profit” to “Accounting”. Now your accounting and banking truly are in one app.
- Accounting dashboard. The new menu option “Accounting” takes you to our new “Accounting dashboard”. Here you have access to your “Profit & loss report”, “Sales invoices” and “Contacts”.
- Contacts. All your customers and suppliers are listed in a new “Contacts” screen. You can add or update contacts.

Up to a week for payments out...
Account was opened within 2 and a half hours - great!
BUT can’t make payments out until the card arrives - up to a week they say. Not impressed with that.

CountingUp, And Up And Up!
I discovered Countingup after researching business banking after my free deal with a High St bank came to an end. Opening the account with Countingup took a couple of hours, from application to approval. My card arrived a couple of days later. Worked from a phone or tablet, all my banking is done easily. The team work with its customers to develop new features such as categorising income and expenditure, invoicing and the new quarterly VAT accounting. Banking is free for very small users but I pay £2.95 a month banking over the threshold. A small price for what I get in return. Easy, reliable and cheap banking for small business owners.

It’s an app! It’s a great financial tool! & I feel so organise! It’s easy to pay money & to categorise what you’ve used the money for. Only down side is it’s a cash account & not so easy to pay in a cheque?

So this wasn't my first choice I went to a different one called tide and wow 😳 they was absolutely shocking couldn't catch my breath the lies they told and time it took them to reply so I got a letter through my door from counting up I thought I'll give them a try literally 5 mins later I got my sort code and account number and just like that I had a business account like to thank the team at counting-up for there word and honesty 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Excellent app. Generally good all round. Problems arise when you try and phone them. No contact no’s, also I would like extra cards for fellow directors and company name cannot Asher appear on cards. Needs improvement

A FinTech Disrupter.
Too long have the bricks and motar banks held their grip.
Thanks to Counting Up, the process of opening a Business Account was very easy, no convoluted forms and prying into every part of your past to end up with ‘computer says no’.
Within a few minutes I had opened an account with exactly what I needed, from the start I knew what fees and style of account I was opening.
My card arrived very quickly and the updates throughout were more than I had expected or ever experienced with old style banks.
I can not recommend Counting Up enough, the pure and simplicity in a world were things are over complicated, hidden with charges and restrictions, Counting Up is a real breath of fresh air.

Not just a great app
I was looking for a simple bank account for my business and found a few “app only” bank accounts to choose from. I went with CountingUp as they are implementing accountancy functionality which is both helpful and cost saving. Such a great concept so well implemented.

Easy start up and a fast service
It was easy to set up the account using the app also once they had left a message saying they were verifying the account it only took up to 24 hours unlike others. After they had verified it it only look 3 days for the card to arrive and I think that is excellent service
