Description
The Teachers2Parents App brings together all the communications you receive from your child's school via Teachers2Parents and SchoolMoney into one simple, easy to use app.
If your school uses our Teachers2Parents and/or SchoolMoney products, you can:
• Sync with all your schools, nurseries and clubs that use Teachers2Parents and/or SchoolMoney.
• Get an instant overview of outstanding payments, notifications, recent messages, and more in the home page.
If your school uses the Teachers2Parents messaging platform, within the app you will be able to:
• View all of your messages from the school in the message feed.
• Have term dates at your fingertips within the Term Calendar section.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest news and events via the Noticeboard.
If your school uses the SchoolMoney system to manage their parent payments online, you will be able to:
• Make payments for dinners, trips, clubs, etc.
• Top up your club and dinner credit balance.
• Manage parental permissions for trips and more.
• Purchase shop items.
• Select meal options for your children's dinners.
• View transaction, booking, and meal selection history.
To use the Teachers2Parents App your child's school will need to be using the Teachers2Parents and/or SchoolMoney system and have your phone number stored within one of these services; this is controlled solely by the school. Please contact the school for further information.
Dinner balances, Shop items, payments, Noticeboard updates, term dates, and the contents of messages are managed by the school - issues or queries surrounding these should be directed to the school.
Some functionality within the app is dependent on the school and the subscriptions they have purchased for the SchoolMoney or Teachers2Parents system.

Awful
This is only means of communication from the school, the app updated today and I can no longer access it, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but still unable to use. Some bug fix 😡

Terrible app. Glitchy at best
Message does not show most of the time. Also when I text on it the message does not show so I cannot if I have made a mistake until I have sent it.

Awful app
Constantly have to delete and re download the app a couple of time’s a week as it won’t let me open any of the school links and school insist on using it. Awful app, really wish my sons school would use another method!

Could be so much better.
The app lets me get messages but it’s the simple things that just don’t work.
For example, I often find I have to reopen a message/app several times to clear the badge notification on the icon.
I can’t open links in most messages. Very occasionally it will work but mostly in messages links look like a hyperlink but will not open. I have to copy the text of the link and paste it into a browser.
These are surely basic functions in any kind of app?

Great idea but not practical!
None of the links for websites work! School send links for updates of lunch menu etc but it’s useless they don’t work. Term dates are not updated in the last few years. I’ve now deleted app and gone back to text messages.

Limited functionality
Easy to use but has very limited info, basically just the texts received. You cannot see the emails or any of the schoolmoney information so have to log in on the website anyway. Basically pointless as long as you receive the texts.

No access at all to the app
I have just downloaded the app and I can’t even access to it to register myself. It’s asking me for my phone number when I provide it the apps tells me the number is not recognised and I should be registered, how can I register when the only option I have is adding my phone number?

Notifications
Good app, but so hard to get rid of notifications once read and it’s very frustrating and confusing when not knowing if there’s a new notification or an old one that are almost impossible to get rid of!

This is rubbish app considering the importance it has of the use.

Wouldn’t recommend this App.
Same as the previous reviews:- there is a constant ‘new message’ red dot in the App image, when in fact you have read all the messages / no new message is actually there.
There is no notification sound and so you must be mindful of this and check the App itself for new messages.
Frankly; prior to installing this App, I received text messages directly from the school to my phone and that worked much better.
I’m going to delete this App.

This app has never worked as expected
The whole point of this app is to provide text message to parents with links to important documents. On my iPhone X no links ever work, they are not clickable. This app is therefore less than useless. This is the only method our child’s primary school communicated and it doesn’t work. Developers do some user testing.

Keyboard Failure
When you write a message you can’t actually see what you are writing as the keyboard covers it. This renders the app almost useless.

Useless
I thought the whole point of this app was to make payments, view the term calendar and get notifications!?? There’s nowhere on this app to make payments and the term calendar is always empty!! So it’s only giving me notifications that I need to make payments but nowhere to make them!!

Simply doesn’t work
This app doesn’t work on my iPhone SE with the most recent iOS update. I entered the mobile number for verification, which sent the text. After entering the code the app crashes out. Sadly, unusable app. Promising concept though.

PLEASE SORT OUT ALERTS
I am so fed up of having to delete the app and reinstall every time I get a message, as it doesn’t remove the alert. I have asked previously for this to be fixed. The whole point of the app is to alert parents to new messages, not to have alerts on for seen messages. Please, please PLEASE fix this.

Won’t open messages
I find this app awful. It’s a great idea but I have to delete and re-install the app every time I want to read a message as it simply won’t open them. Very frustrating.

Helpful app, but really needs a delete button. I don’t check it too often as just assume it’s an old message on the notifications as I can’t delete any. Bit annoying.

Needs work!
Not a great service. I miss important information as the app doesn’t update when it is opened and so always has a notification waiting and then it’s not possible to see without opening the app that there are new messages. This needs working on urgently to provide an adequate service

Terrible App
I rarely feel the need to leave a negative review, however this app is so poorly written and annoys me on a daily basis I am going to make an exception! The app constantly has an unread notification icon, the messages don’t fill the available space and the design is poorly thought out. As displaying messages is pretty much all the app does I would say that’s pretty poor!

Notification icon doesn’t clear
Because the notification on the app icon stays even when there are new messages you cannot tell when there are real messages. I have deleted and gone back to sms alerts which is much easier.

Notification Problems
Installed this app because my kids school are encouraging parents to use it. It’s good, usable and understandable except for the notification symbol which does not disappear when you have looked at a new message. Other people have commented about this in their reviews...please sort it out developers...or you’ll be put in detention.

Good idea but completely useless
I thought this was a good idea but I find it useless. I don’t get alerts despite having notifications turned on. I don’t get the messages from the school at the right time. I have replied to messages but the school do not get them. Needs a lot of improvement to correct these issues.
The one star is for the term dates. This is the only useful function on this app.

If only it worked
As many reviewers point out, this app seems like a good idea but in execution misses the point. Links that don’t open, messages that remain unread, two categories that don’t make sense. As a parent I have only been frustrated.

Still Not working
Still not getting notified, turned up to the school this morning to find out it’s non uniform day and they needed hamper donations. I clicked the app when I got home and the messages were there but I never got a notification.

Waste of an app.
The app is pointless and schools have been sold this app wrongly. I think sometimes they think change for change sake, this proves that they are wrong.
The app is disjointed and not straight forward.
The notifications are pointless and don’t clear when you have read them.
Go back to school and have a more personal contact with the parents.
Go back to the drawing board.

It’s mediocre at best
It’s good to have messages sent from schools held in one place easy to find, but I don’t get notified when a new message is loaded. I have missed a few messages or only seen them by chance. if this could be sorted then it would make it a much better app.

Needs refining. Good support
The concept is good but parents only get out of it what the school is prepared to put into it.
There is a very annoying notification bug. Even after reading all the new messages the app icon still shows 1 notification for unread messages.
Update: I contacted support about the bug and they helped me fix it. Background app refresh was the problem. Turning it off and back on fixed it.

Not impressed
It’s not a bad App but personally I prefer Class Dojo. I also do not like how hard it is to get rid of the notifications after reading the message. I’m happy to have this system- especially if it saves the schools money. But the app needs some updates and it would help if you could message the school back.

2.1 out of 5 stars flatters this!
Absolutely useless. Sent me a text to install, then tells me my number isn’t recognised when trying to log into their very VERY basic first page. I think the app must have been designed by junior school children, for if this is from specialists then they aren’t very good at their jobs.

It’s good that I can be notified when my child arrives m leaves school and teachers comments. But annoying I cannot reply to some urgent texts especially when unable to call in to and have to use email Not good enough! You need to able to respond straight away if need.

Complete and utter pants
This is rubbish - the layout is totally counterintuitive, menus are all over the place and buttons only work 17% of the time. This app cost me nothing but I feel ripped off!

Not updating status
No new messages or notices, but the icon displays notification that there are. Messages that get read ( when there are some that are new) get seemingly " new" again within the app the next few times you use the app . Crying Wolf if you like. Can't trust the app. Needs updating.

Doesn’t work....
This is the second time I have downloaded the product the first was some six months ago. Back then and now the app won’t log me in and can’t get past the ‘loading‘ step. What’s the point when the school can text, which I would prefer. Why bother with the expense of introducing yet another point for failure.
