really annoying glitch
I love this game, I bought the season pass but I couldn’t get past episode one. Everytime I try to play the second episode, it just glitches out and I can’t play it. I’m not sure if it’s just my phone or the game but this hasn’t happened to me ever. i also wasted money on it and even waited ages to download the episode, this is really disappointing.

Great game but so glitchy you can’t finish the game
This is a brilliant game. It’s just such a shame that no matter how you try to work around the glitches you end up stuck at some point. If I play on my phone I can make it to episode 3 but I can’t get beyond fixing the car. I can fix all parts except the oil filter where I am not given any options to fix it. I thought this might be because the screens too small so I played on my iPad. I can’t get into the mill on episode 1 on this so that was a lot worse. Please fix the glitches because I love both of the life is strange games and I really want to finish. Thank you!

As much as I like these games but they’re better on pc or console as I tried going pass trying to fix the truck and it won’t let me go the the last part and trying to move to the object won’t let me move that far and I’m starting to get annoyed by it but if you don’t have any of them you could use on your phone or iPad

A bit disappointed
Don’t get me wrong I still love the game, but when you make a purchase you expect it to be up to standard.
There’s at least one glitch every five minutes, kind of a mood killer when a characters eyes turn grey, they become stuck halfway into the ground, or just decide to piss off completely... It’s still completely playable, just very much kills the atmosphere.
The worst part is it doesn’t seem like the developers have any intention of fixing this, considering every glitch report seems to be left unanswered or unfixed.
I love the game, but please please please do better

Unworkable Controls
Why in the world can’t this game have the same control options as the original LIS on mobile?
I usually couldn’t care less about it, but without Joystick options and adjustable camera sensitivity this game is unplayable. The first one did it just fine, but now there are no options and Chloe is impossible to control. I feel like I just wasted £8.

We only got a demo and not the full episode
I’ve played the full game on Xbox a few years ago and loved it but I decided I wanted to replay it. I thought I would get the 1st episode free but it was only a demo unlike the first game. The controls were hard to use and navigating the menu I think I would rather replay on Xbox.

Not a game, and an insult to the orginal
This isn’t a game…its an animation that you can occasionally interact with, and it is insanely boring. There are no puzzles, no mystery to solve. The only “game” is to tag as many places as possible with spray paint, and talk back to people. The original game was beautiful. There are so many glitches, and the movement controls are infuriatingly imprecise. This prequel was opportunistic greed, using the most limited resources possible.

glitching out
i had my hopes up for before the storm after i played the first game, but, it’s not really lived up to my expectations. the game constantly glitches me out before i reach a save point, i haven’t even finished ep 1 yet because of it - and i’ve paid for the episode 1-3 pack. i don’t know what to do as i really want to play this game, i’m on an iphone XR and ive deleted over 10gb worth of storage (20 gb remaining) in case that was the issue but it’s still failing to work. please help!!!

Controls make playing the game painful and slow
I would have expected a much better quality the previous life is strange was excellent and I never encountered any glitches or crashes this one with the walking and actions is a nightmare and for the life of me I wish I never purchased it

Glitches
I’ve been playing life is strange for over a year now and I’ve never had this problem where it just glitches me out of the app. When I want to play the game I can only play the part where Chloe is at the mill then it glitches me out and I can’t play it anymore I’ve delete the app a few times seeing if that would help but the same thing happens.
I’ve also had another problem where Rachel and Chloe are in the dressing room with Victoria but Rachel’s face and body isn’t there it glitches out.
When Chloe is in the car with david his chin is moving instead of his mouth.
Other than the issues to the game it’s really good and I want to continue on playing it.

Doesn’t work, no help from developers
My iPad Pro is listed in the supported devices and running the latest iOS and yet when I open the game I get a message: “Your device does not meet the minimum specs required for this game.”
Despite the message, I was able to continue and play episode 1 which played fine, so I bought the season pass to play all the other episodes. Episode 2 is now downloaded and installed but when I try to start it the game just crashes.
I’ve contacted the developers but never had a response. I’ve waited in case there would be an update, or in case a new iOS would support it, but it still doesn’t work so I’m going to see if I can get a refund from Apple.

Can’t play!
I bought this because I adore the first Life is Strange. But I’ve only managed to play the first section, like 2 minutes past where the free demo ended and it keeps kicking me out of the game! Then when I try to go back into it, I’m lead back, having to replay the last 5 minutes before I got kicked out, only to get kicked out again when it tries to load the next chapter. This is sooo frustrating after I’ve just paid full price for the full game! If someone sees this, can you please tell me how to fix this glitch or at the very least get my money back? I don’t want to rate so low having not played the game yet but how can I when it won’t let me? It’s also the most I’ve spent on a game so really disappointed with this....

Refund needed
I have paid £11.99 for the full game, as the demo was really good and had amazing graphics, no glitches at all. However, when I tried to play episode 1, it immediately kicked me out. I tried again three times and still the same result. I am very disappointed and upset as I have paid the full price for the game, and would like a refund.

Game won’t work on my phone
Got a message saying my iPhone 14 plus doesn’t meet the system requirements. After searching the net Apple reckons that this is because the game developers haven’t updated the game to work with newer phones in 4 years. Luckily I didn’t purchase anything but if your product is out of date and won’t work with new phones, maybe update it or take it down altogether

Keeps Crashing
Very beautiful and enjoyable game however, every time I finish an episode and try to download new one the app crashes and won’t reload again at all, and I have tried pretty much everything you can imagine to make it load but it doesn’t work, so I have to delete it it and play from the beginning.

Glitches and weird controls
I wrote a review a while ago about how the tap to walk was really bad and the fact we only get a demo instead of episode 1 free. I’ve now purchased all the episodes because when I was playing the demo the game ran really smoothly on my iPhone XR. But there are screen glitches when you’re playing the game, such as the background graphics jumping around a bit and at one point chloe was talking with David in episode 1 and David’s chin was moving up and down as he was talking but his mouth wasn’t moving. It was very entertaining to watch! But obviously the game shouldn’t be doing this. I would say to people that if you’re going to buy the game, that you should be aware that it doesn’t run as great as the first game. I’m able to look past these glitches etc but I know some people can’t. But I do love the game just wish it was developed better

Honestly I’ve played the first game and loved it. I love the story line but the controls are far too irradiating the tap to walk doesn’t work as when you tap so speak you end up walking away. Character also disappear (glitch around) during cutscenes at one point Samuel was bent in front of Chloe😂 entertaining yet ruined the moment…

Buy if you don’t care about spending money... BUT
really love the story and the choices involved. However with this game the graphics are really terrible. Sometimes it’s completely blurry and fuzzy in the background and sometimes the characters aren’t even looking at each other or near each other when they’re meant to be? It’s a shame I loved the other life is strange game. Really disappointing no refunds will be offered either. Don’t waste your money.

Before the storm
I only downloaded it onto my iPad because I thoroughly enjoyed the first one. The controls are awful. Need the joystick option like in the other game as these controls are hard to use. Also so far the background is too pixelated in places and David’s mouth needs to be fixed when he talks- not lined up properly- looks like he’s chewing tobacco. I payed the full cost for all the chapters and that is the only reason I am keeping it, otherwise I would have deleted it. Quality wise although the other game is sharper with graphics, I can live with it. Just would like the joystick controls so please can you update the game with these added.

Amazing story, poor port
I put up with the weird controls, the characters glitching and/or disappearing from scenes etc because the game and the story is incredible despite the the bugs. However now my app closes whenever I load the game up in episode 3 on my iPad Pro... already had a ton of bugs before this but now it’s actually unplayable :( it’s sad bc it’s such a good game. The game is 5 stars but this unplayable version of it is not.

Best game!
This is definitely the best game I’ve ever played, I felt like I was there, on that journey with Chloe, it was not free however it was worth every penny. The first ever game that made me cry (multiple times.)
With all the twists and turns, bumps in the road, the elements of lgbtq+ along with an amazing sound track that adds to everything.
I could go on for paragraphs about how much I enjoyed playing it but I won’t.
I just want to say that it was honestly a great experience 10/10 not a bad word to say about it.

Good game but could do with fixing

Life is Strange? The programming is strange
I couldn’t get more than 5 minute into this without uninstalling it. Whilst the first game was engrossing this sequel seems to do everything possible to make you hate it.
The controls are diabolical - you really struggle to do the most basic of movements, the main character is irritating, the gameplay is far too obvious, and the game as a whole is unplayably buggy. Ending a conversation teleported me out of the playable area where I remained stuck and unable to move.
Best of luck selling season passes on this, it’s a hard pass for me.

Always online required and only one control way
Mobile gaming is pointless, okay, however it can be acceptable for commuting and those times one cannot use a proper gaming platform however the game fails at it.... it requires always to be online which defeats the purpose if playing when you are underground, during the gameplay the games check for connection and if none it crashes and close down, really??? The game is great as the first was, have both on PC however controls in this one take a bit to get used too, not necessarily the worse however a joystick type as option would have been good - both works in different circumstances.

Great game
I love games where its choice based, and personally this is the best one. Beautiful animation and graphics and soundtrack. Amazing story and great controls, has a great mix between freedom of map whilst being a story and controlling the characters journey. Definitely recommend! Worth the £££

Quite disappointed really, since characters have a habit of disappearing during dialogue sequences... Whether these issues are due to the new IOS update, makes gameplay quite annoying when your spending £12 for something not performing smoothly.

Disappointing
I was really looking forward to playing this as I really enjoyed the first game. You don’t so much ‘play’ it more ‘watch’ it, the game play is minimal so it’s more like watching a box set with a minimal amount of interaction.... I found it tedious.

Mifi Controls!!
This game looks great and the demo was fun so decided to purchase but despite reading it was listed as mifi compatible turns out my controller does nothing with this game. Unfortunately the controls without a joystick are very clunky so bit of a shame, please add mifi support!!!

Controls pretty bad
It’s good game but graphics is not as good as life is strange as it uses unity engine not unreal engine 4. Still looks nice but there is no option to change controls like in a previous game so you have to tap to move and moving camera is way to slow which is a bit frustrating. Change the interface and I will buy the whole game.

Joystick style controls missing
This app is in dire need of on screen joystick style controls the previous instalment had and I’m rating it one star until it does.
Tap to walk is just not fun whatsoever to play especially in a game which is supposed to encourage exploration.
My character got stuck multiple times and walked in all sorts of unintended directions on the first opening.
Please update it and my rating will go up. Thanks.

Glitches on iPhone XS Max
I am incredibly happy to see Before The Storm on mobile and was so excited to play this on the go with my new iPhone XS Max. However, I am upset to find out the game doesn’t run well at all and has glitches flashing up all over the place on this phone. It worked perfectly on the iPhone X, but not good at all on the XS Max. The game isn’t even running in full screen!
Please release an update to fix these issues and then I will be able to fully enjoy this game on my travels. :)
