Useless
Paid for a monthly subscription. Couldn’t create an account with the app. Emailed customer support and was sent instructions of how to create an account (which I had already done). It didn’t work again. I sent screenshots of the error message I received. Received another email assuring me that another try would work. It didn’t! I’ve requested that the subscription be cancelled and I’m awaiting a refund… it’s quicker and easier to pick up a physical copy at the shops.

I have purchased the weekly and monthly take a break for many years even though I have never managed to win a prize,I enjoy all the competitions keeps the brain working ref. 76 year old.

The app is absolute rubbish. It literally doesn’t work - tried to subscribe but the button to restore the purchase doesn’t work after paying so you are stuck…

Brilliant
I have been getting the Take a Break app for about 2 months. In all that time there has been only one issue when I have been able to completlove all the interactive puzzles. This week is particularly bad (week ending 15th August). Most of them are just coming up too large to see the clues. Or they don’t work. I am now going to have to buy the issue in paper form which rather defeats the purpose. These problems need sorting out URGENTLY!!! I am not happy. UPDATE 12th August App has now been updated so that puzzles work. In view of this, I am now very happy with my purchase . Well done Technical/Support Teams

I subscribed to the mag to do the puzzles. Set up an account, but it won’t let me sign in! Keeps saying it is wrong. When I set up the account it welcomed me! When I try to reset password it says it can’t find account! I have emailed customer support but their replies worse than useless! It is very frustrating. I feel a cancelled subscription coming on and a demand for my money back

Not happy
I buy take a break every week just for the puzzles.
I took advantage of the half price offer for the year and downloaded today’s issue and none of the puzzles open so you can’t complete them.
I have brought the digital issue before and had the same problem.

Ive just downloaded the most recent issue as underneath the app it says “Now with interactive puzzles”. Im aware they werent operating previously due to Covid-19 but this statement implies theyre up and running again when they are not. I would like a refund please.

I am very disappointed that I have paid for a six month subscription on this magazine only to find I cannot complete the puzzles on the app. The only reason I purchased this is due to the fact that I cannot go out to buy it as I normally do. Needs a LOT of improvement
Update: Now the app won't open at all!
I’ve had the app since it came out. I don’t like the new “reader version” when I double tap. It used to zoom in, now it gives you a reader version. If I allow my screen to lock or quickly switch to another app, it resets and I have to start at the beginning of the issue again! I do like the convenience of having it on my phone and automatic delivery so I don’t miss an issue

Great Magazine and Support
The puzzles loaded fine, interactively, in the trial edition, sadly the puzzles don’t load interactively in the current issue. Have tried reloading the issue, deleting and reloading the app, but it still doesn’t load as an interactive issue. Have eMailed customer services and have received a very quick response. Unfortunately it is to do with the Coronavirus and trying to set up of interactive pages in very difficult circumstances. Great magazine, wife loves it and we’re happy to print the pages until the interactivity issue is sorted after we’ve seen off Coronavirus. Worth subscribing and being patient if you’re able to print off the puzzles.

I have made purchases on this app to read the magazine and now I am afraid to use it as 2 times now my phone has glitched while using this app and will not even let me turn it off rendering my phone unusable. The app will allow me to move within it but not close the app or switch off the phone. It must be a bug but 2 times it has been so severe my phone does not function.

Really disappointed with the app way it works you have to keep going in and out of the puzzles as freezes and the word searches aren’t easy to do on there with the way you do the lines on the app they dont always write and it also freezes found it a pain, it’s not my devise either as every app I use works fine

Where’s the elusive number ??? I thought I’d be eco friendly and go online with it. But it just doesn’t work. I can fill out a puzzle but I guess it won’t register till I’m registered which I can’t do because I can’t see the customer number. What a waste of time to not just send the number to someone when they set up an account. Meh

Great woman’s magazine
I always look forward to Thursdays when my take a break magazine is out.I enjoy reading all the stories. Some sad. Some funny. My favourite is entering the competitions,if I’m lucky I could be a winner. Who knows.

Quizzes
I think having the quizzes electronically is fantastic my one fault is that when you are doing any that have clues you’ve gotta keep scrolling to find the clue then back to the puzzle, it would be handy if when you click a box the clue appeared across the bottom. Other that. This is fab!

I thought this would be great for having my fav mag with me to take to work etc. But way too fiddly. Possibly ok on a tablet. Try if they have free trial, I missed it by two days!

Love T.A.B been doing the comps for years, so downloaded the app. Didn’t get the free offer don’t know why.like that I can now do the puzzles in the app,but a couple of them don’t work. And can’t figure out how to fill out the answer form

Won’t let me make an account or download free issue
After trying several times to input a code for a free magazine and being told I had been successful it still would not let me download anything more than a preview unless I paid 99P. When trying to make a subscription there was no option to ask for a subscription code it needed so I couldn’t even make a subscription! Absolutely rubbish app!

Terrible!
This is a terrible app! I buy the magazines. You cannot get a digital copy until you sign up for an account. In order to sign up for an account you need a customer number. Which apparently they send to you without even knowing your email address. Once you have figured out you cannot obtain this mysterious customer number you try to come out of it, by closing down the app and re loading it. You then get an add popping up saying that if you sign up to this thing you get a digital copy of a March issue for free. Well it’s April so I don’t want that. And even if I did I couldn’t look at it because you will not let me sign up for an account.
So let me save you a lot of time and hassle.
Do not download this app unless you have been randomly sent a customer number.
