"This app may be used with or without the LEGO® DUPLO® Cargo Train (10875) or LEGO DUPLO Steam Train (10874).
CREATE AND CONNECT
All aboard the DUPLO train! Join the train driver in an exciting adventure on the DUPLO railway. Help the driver by controlling the train’s speed, turning on the headlights, sounding the horn and more!
As part of a brand new experience, your child can collect more than 20 different stickers and place them in the inspirational DUPLO train landscape. In this experience we also have fresh, intuitive controls, including a new color-changing light button.
With the train sets you can place DUPLO action bricks on the rails to make the driver react to your actions. Each action brick can also launch an exciting activity to add even more fun and inspire play with your physical train set.
You can also play without the physical trains and will be able to join the driver on fun activities, collect stickers and have the app react to your actions.

Update broke train connectivity!
Since updating this app to the latest version, we can no longer connect the orange or red Duplo trains to the app. You press ‘train and app’ and it just returns you to the menu. No connection setup/page anymore. Our child is very upset as loved playing this way using the iPad and it was one of the reasons we bought both sets. Is a fix planned?

Won’t connect to iPhone 14 Pro
No matter what I try, doesn’t seem to be compatible with iPhone 14 Pro. Now have a train that won’t connect to the app because I upgraded my phone - devs need to keep up.

A good game
All ana all I think it’s a good game and 3 to 6 year olds will enjoy it.(my 9 year old chanted duplo trains to me about 30 times!)my child used to enjoy the old duplo trains but now it’s unlisted.I think being able to choose what attachments to add to the train would be a lot better than waiting for pop ups.You could add lots of different backgrounds to make it more interesting and make it more clear what speed you are on.I would recommend this this for if your child likes duplo.Its really a great game and if have the train it’s even better.

I wish we had toys like this 30 years ago!
I was fanatical about Lego when I was a child. I was fortunate enough to get Lego castles from Santa Claus a number of times... Now I have children, so naturally I bought a Duplo train set with extra track and bridge packs for my youngest daughter this Christmas. It is a wonderful toy for developmental learning and plenty of fun. This App is simply transformative, really bringing the toy to life for her. I cannot recommend this enough.
It works best for her on an i-pad rather than a phone due to the screen size.
Cargo train coming next year I think...

My 2 year old son loves trains so this set was a must, he loved the train and loved the set with the tabs are easy to use and easy to use app for his little fingers, he loved the changing lights on the front of the train. He found it easy to make it up and loved the changing the track up. He loved the bag and the bright colours

Duplo cargo train
Fun with or without the Duplo set. Lots of activities aimed at the very young.

Great for kids
Little one (2yo) has loved the cargo train on its own, but with the app she’s really enjoyed it! App works really well with the Bluetooth train, although expensive, the quality is brilliant.
Only small downside is the app has two buttons to the left of the screen that I guess show different layouts based on the sets owned, however these buttons don’t actually do anything. May also be an added benefit if under the adult section it explained what each of the mini games meant, and how to successfully complete / get a sticker pack.

My toddler loves controlling the Duplo train with an iPad
Unusual and innovative combination and works well, although it can be a little fiddly for little one on an iPhone!

App shows impossible tracks
The track feature is supposed to give you plans to build tracks with the pieces and sets you own. Unfortunately ours is showing pieces that we don’t have.

Doesn’t work well on Face ID iPhones
A key action in this app is to swipe up near the bottom of the screen to make the train move forward, and if you are changing from reverse to forward it really IS the very bottom of the screen. Unfortunately this action is a shortcut to quit the app in modern iPhones with Face ID. Even if you quickly restart the app, it loses the Bluetooth connection to the train for several seconds.
