1. Booking

Manage your booking easily! Select between one way or round trip, choose your origin and destination airport, flight date, search fares with money or miles option, select fare, provide personal detail, contact detail and select your preferred meal type, select your payment option and purchase your ticket, you can also have the option to pay with miles for Sheba Miles member, hold on reservation or pay at agent.

2. My Trips

Walk through your booking! You can see your past and upcoming trip summary, manage your trips, view itinerary and pricing detail, select your preferred seat, update your travel document information and contact detail, continue to payment for hold on reservations.

3. Check-in & Boarding

You can check-in by entering booking reference number, ticket number, or frequent flyer number, select the passengers for check-in, select seat for each of the passengers, provide, travel document information, residence address, destination address and emergency contact detail based on the rule of the country where you are flying to, you can also continue to check-in by selecting the booking you made from the trip summary that we locally save for you in your phone. We finally generate and display your boarding passes.

4. Flight Status

Select a destination of your choice and browse your flight status. You can search all Ethiopian flights by route or flight number and see the result for yesterday, today and tomorrow departure and arrival time, airport information and flight status.

I hope this message goes to the UK IATA(International Air Transport association) and the UK CAA(Civil aviation authority) to please ensure that there are tough regulations on lost luggages. I had a lost bag which was considered to be very valuable and important and had most of the things that I possessed.This led to me coming to the UK depressed and traumatised with almost nothing because all my things were in my bag and they didn’t provide me with money before compensation to provide me with the essential things I need as they are still tracing my bag which meant that I had to start from scratch.

I would highly recommend the airline to please support passengers who have lost luggage’s particularly for those that have bags which are completely valuable and means a lot to the passenger and to please ensure that passengers do not feel as if the airline does not care. I hope that this problem does not have a severe negative impact on the company reputation because this is an issue that I believe has to be dealt with as soon as possible particularly for an airline that has a reputation of operating across various places across the globe. I also hope that for any future passenger who has lost their luggage and haven’t received it after a long time let them not be inconvenienced as this is the airline’s responsibility to ensure that passengers are not heavily impacted in a manner that would be a huge blow towards their well being and mental health due to the inconvenienced losses that the passenger would have had to conquer.

Buggy useless app

Many of the pages don’t load “unable to perform the operation” and payments go through once for every three tries. On the whole it is slow and nearly unusable for anything related to Shebamiles

Your services are very poor. I booked a flight from Manchester to Abuja and arrived 1 hour plus but wasn’t allowed to check in. I tried checking in prior to my arrival at the airport but your website says I can’t check in for my booking and that I have to be at the airport to check in, only to arrive 1 hour plus and was denied checking in.

Poor and Inconsistent

Frustrating app. Instead of making passenger’s life easier, much time is wasted re-entering the same passenger information - over and over and over again. Don’t waste time entering and saving your passenger data, travel documents, or any preferences as the app never associates this with any new bookings. It has to be repeated every single time. ShebaMiles is haphazard when logging your trips and air miles, sometimes it logs them, sometimes it logs parts but not all of the journey, sometimes it doesn’t log anything. Don’t be surprised if your email inbox gets flooded with random log in verifications after using the app and having already logged in successfully. Much improvement needed.

A true downgrade from even walking

I flew Ethiopian airs around 3 years ago and have accumulated around 7,000 Sheba miles. The experience was poor at best, but the 7,000 is looking good. Planed to transfer my shebamiles to globalmiles but couldn’t despite shebamiles saying I can. My miles are Award miles and are not in my blue card for some reason. There are too many currencies like Award Miles, status miles, and what looks like (card?) miles? None of these should be necessary if everything could be under the same currency. I would like to use the 7,000 miles because no way in hell do I want to fly with an airbus as horrible as Ethiopian airlines. Ethiopian airlines is a downgrade from walking. I would rather walk the distance between india and my country.

Just Terrible !!!!

By far the WORST airline app ever. It is so bad it’s unreal. Virtually impossible to check in online. Don’t waste your time as you will spend ages trying to use it and end up getting nowhere. Can’t believe they paid someone for this app !!!

Awful - don’t bother

If I could give 0 stars I would. On the face of it the Ethiopian Airlines app offers cheaper flights and easy access to the Sheba Miles programme. But Flight bookings fail time and again. I have now been charged cancellation fees for tickets that never completed on the app and for which I never received a confirmation email. The ET call centre don’t understand how the app works and refuse to waive cancellation fees even when it is their own app that failed. The app constantly crashes and the Sheba Miles page won’t recognise flights. Absolute rubbish - don’t bother

Not reliable, even when the app seems to work...

I checked in online through the app and despite having received a boarding pass, once I arrived at the airport the boarding pass was not accepted and I was lucky to still get the last (!!) seat on the flight about 5 minutes before checkin closed. Most of the times the app does not work at all. On top of this, online check-in via the website also does not work, and when you call them they cannot do anything for you either... Especially for long, intercontinental flights this is getting incredibly frustrating. Ethiopian really needs to improve their services!

Useless after update

The app doesn’t even start up after updating to new version. The app was never good to begin with but this latest update has persuaded me to rate it one star.

This app constantly crashes and is completely user unfriendly. The user experience and interface has not been designed to make it easy for the person booking.

Payments never go through. I’ve now tried four times for different tickets.

It doesn’t let you manage your booking because full of bugs. Crashes.

I really suggest to have a UX and UI expert revisit the app
