Crashing constantly
I’ve had the app for years and love it but after the last update it crashes when I try to do anything. I pay £26.99 a year and I can’t use it. If they eventually fix it I’ll update/add another review but for now it’s useless to me

If you try the “free trial” and cancel before it ends then they will STILL attempt to charge you multiple times a week for an app you don’t even use.
It is nearly MAY and this app was cancelled/deleted in NOVEMBER.
I have contacted apple support and they confirmed,I did the cancellation correctly and on time. They also said there was nothing they can do from their side, so I need to contact Pixomatic and if they don’t stop then i’ll have to contact my bank. They shouldn’t be attempting to charge after cancellation but they do.
Type them in on google theres HUNDREDS of comments from people who have had the same

Glitchy!!!
I have had this app for a few years. Recently its been more and more glitchy and throws me off the app and shuts it, meaning I have to save constantly and often loose my work and paitents!
Another reviewer finds the same I see. Will be deleting it and looking elsewhere for similar if it won’t work well it’s not worth wasting £6 a month.. Also why on earth wasn’t I paying the £25 a year and saving so much money.. stupid mistake on my part.
It could be a good app.. if reliable..

I paid for this years ago when it was a one off payment. I recently tried to re-download it and it’s changed to a monthly/yearly cost. I emailed customer service and they were amazing. I didn’t have to pay again and they were quick to reply.

Had original pixomatic - paid app. Transferred all data onto a new phone to discover that the original version, which was perfect, has been removed and is now a subscription based app. Tried to restore app when I uploaded the new version only to discover it has no history of me. I used the old app daily and am now very disappointed. You know when you pay for something that works perfectly and it’s taken away for no apparent reason other than making money, that.
It’s happened again. I’ve been sent a code to restore purchases but there’s no history of premium plan.

Almost immediately I have been trying however it was not in my subscriptions so I assumed it had stopped, then since then money has been coming out of my account! Throws you off the app
Sat making something for quite a long time then boom! Got thrown off the app, lost all my progress. As you can imagine. I was annoyed by that as I couldn’t be bothered doing everything I just done once again but I done it. Tried a 2nd time. Exact same. Thrown off the app. Same again, lost my progress. Tried the same a 3rd time. Got thrown off the app. Due to this I came here to give this review. I’m going to try once more time because I really want to make this thing I’m trying to do but…I can imagine I’ll be thrown off a 4th time. Wish me luck! 🤞🏻- The features are really good. I enjoy the app in general but the whole being thrown off the app and losing all my progress isn’t want anyone wants tbh. So I’d say 3 starts is reasonable. Update: Yep! Thrown off a 4th time.

The app become overloaded if you want to make edits of multiple images and crashes, wiping all work done. Very disappointed considering you have to pay to use worthwhile features. Will be cancelling subscription.

I have been using this for couple of years, it’s very user friendly and the best part is keep updating. I am a paid member. I have few request with the developer. I usually design my posters in Pixomatic.
1- Font choice is limited please enhance.
2- Add Arabic, Persian and Urdu Fonts with variations so that you will more users from Other part of the world.
3- Fonts should have more variations

Best tool in the Box
I tried this App thinking I would see if it was as good as it said on the Tin, it is and I’m now into my second year of using it and I must say it does do what it says and it does it extremely well.
If I was to give it marks out of 100 it would be 97 and that’s only because I don’t want to stop them working on it. But I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who likes working with images. My only request would be that they would allow users to set a higher resolution when exporting images.

Been using this app for a while now, taken a little bit of time to work things out, but got there, the latest update is great. The new magic cut is really good and accurate.
I now have an issue with it, I can’t replace the background after I had done a magic cut, the options when I don’t come up when I tap the background layer, an update to fix this bug needs doing.

Where’s the app gone?
Purchased the original app.
Didn’t know it was removed from the store. Now I have a new device. When restoring it won’t download the app as it “doesn’t exist” any more. Just this one in its place where I have to pay monthly? I paid for the original app? Where has that gone. Other posts say restoring purchase will give you pro again. No it doesn’t. Please give me access back to the app I use. (not paying monthly)

I only tried this app for a day and decided not to subscribe so went to cancel. I find that I have been signed up to a year’s contract which I do not want. What I do want is my money back.

Stay away!
Tried to cancel my subscription before the end of my free trial as I didn’t want to get charged but the subscription was invisible - I couldn’t find the subscription anywhere on my phone, even though in the app itself my account was showing as Pro.
I even spoke to Apple Support who also couldn’t locate the subscription. I tried to ask Pixomatic for help but they said they couldn’t do anything as they didn’t have access to users’ details and they just sent me a link to their ‘How to unsubscribe page’, which I’d already tried to use unsuccessfully.
After the free trial ended the app tried to take the money from my account but thankfully my bank blocked it. Again I spoke to Apple to try to fix this but again they couldn’t find any subscriptions for this app. In the end I had to ask my bank to help and had to fill out a form with them.
I wasted so much time on this. Not impressed at all.

So I tried the 3 day trial for fun. Then when it starting charging me (I forgot to cancel the plan), I wasn’t sure if I should keep it or cancel it. In the end I thought- you know what? I like it! It’s artistic, it’s fun, it’s super cool! I would recommend!

Charging when I’ve already paid
This app used to be available with all features unlocked forever for approximately £10. Now it has been “upgraded”, that purchase no longer matters and I have to buy a subscription, although that was not the deal when originally purchased. “Restore purchase” does nothing as it says you haven’t purchased a premium subscription (because this was not what it was when originally sold). Absolute con, avoid.

Where is the old App I paid for gone!?
I updated the App and it’s asking for subscription to something I already paid for. I bought the old app and love the simplicity and tools available and it was worth the money.
BUT..
since the new app came out the old one has been removed from AppStore and the new one is not recognising my ‘restore purchase’?
Yes I’m signed in with the correct AppStore account as I only have 1 account.
I understand developers are doing subscription based apps now but at least leave the other version that I and I’m sure many others have paid for.
Please can you put back the old app I paid for so I can download that one. I cannot afford to pay again and a monthly/yearly fee.

Not happy - ripped off
I paid £4 for the original app which had all the features of the new app, but now this has been removed from the App Store so I cannot re- download onto my new phone. The new app is now £7.49 a month!! I feel this is a total rip off.

I miss the free version
I loved the free version, it was the best app I had on my phone for dealing with images. But I upgraded my phone and lost the app. And now I have to pay monthly or 25 pounds a year. That is a terribly high amount to pay.

Rip off

There is no support available now. The so called upgrade, ‘Pro’ version of this App, charges an additional subscription... I already paid for the original App, which was great but I do not wish to pay monthly or annually for something I already had. The tools I use in the app are not available in the upgrade without having to pay for them again!

It’s good
I’m an apprentice tattoo artist and up till a couple weeks ago was using Snapchat’s photo editor to piece different designs together, I have a sketchbook full and take photos of various drawings, cut them out in the app, apply an outline, blend them together and make stencils! Still learning all the tools but I can recommend this as the best tool for the job I’ve found, peace out dudes <3

Why has the other version been deleted
I had the previous version which I paid for. Now I’ve upgraded my iPad I can no longer get the old version. I have tried to restore my purchase and it does nothing. What’s going on ?
Customer service reached out to me resolved the issue and really pleased. I have the app back that I enjoy using. By far the best one I’ve used. I can carry on my my graphic design hobby. If you’ve never had this app I would 100% recommend it.

Totally Screwed Over Loyal Customers
I used the previous version of this app and had done so for many years.
I recently upgraded my phone but found that the app wouldn’t install as it was no longer available on the App Store. What IS available though, is an identical app which now requires a subscription.
It’s a great app and I already bought it, but now I’m expected to pay again for it.
With that level of contempt for customers, I will find something from an alternative developer.

So intelligent
Unbelievable. Magic cut intelligently works out the product/item/person in the photo and cuts it allowing you to effortlessly change the background colour - much cleaner and easier than photoshop and final cut no green screen needed - 10/10

Absolute rip!
So now, they have stopped support on the original app, and it has become unuseable, lines do not follow the path drawn. Cutting doesn’t work, erasing and filling doesn’t work properly.
Terrible example of a developer. But hey, gives other unscrupulous devs an idea, make a decent app, make people pay to unlock all the features for life, make a ‘pro’ version of said app but with a subscription model, end support on original app forcing users to love across to new app. You could at least offer refunds to the purchasers of the original app.

Very easy to use....
I am not great with technology but find this app extremely easy to use. Watch the tutorials, they are very good. I have used other features but mainly use the app to brand my photographs to BalloonsbyDesignuk but lots of other cool stuff on here too.

First class app!
I love this app! Very simple and intuitive ! Easy to put effective layers on.. like a very simple photoshop! I’m a teacher and I’ve used it to great effect in school.

Layers
I have a problem with the layer menu that covers part of the screen on the right.
Manipulating items behind the menu is impossible and when you turn it off, you can’t manipulate it.

Don’t Bother - Not What It Seems
PixoMatic Standard isn’t too bad. But is crippled by limited features. This version (Pro) has full features but is crippled by hidden subscriptions. Enjoy the full range of easy to use and varied tools, filters and backgrounds but don’t expect to Apply any of them. No. That’s $99 to you, Sir! For the fully paid up version. Or how does $4 a month sound? Not good is the answer. Crazy. I’ve written to them directly emphasising this. And the bizarre pricing scheme atween the Standard and Pro versions and they are wholly resolute and confident that charging five quid for the Standard and a hundred quid for the Pro is perfectly fine. PixoMatic is a great program and deserves to do well. So why the misleading unlock pricing? So near and yet so far. Crazy. At £5 PixoMatic Standard is good value. Just be prepared to be frustrated in the knowledge that the Pro is better. But ... at a disproportionately higher cost.

Pro means nothing!
I have Pixomatic pro installed as I upgraded from the standard edition. However, "Pro" actually means nothing as you still have to pay for a subscription to use the cut out! What the hell was the Pro upgrade for then? Will delete if I get no reply to this comment.

Shouldn’t be subscription
Nice app, easy to use and fun but unless you plan to use it aaaalll the time totally not worth it.
I can see this being one of those apps I try and have fun with a couple of times, forget to unsubscribe from before the free trial period end then at the end of the tax year when looking through my accounts think “What the hell is this charge on my Apple account”.
So, I unsubscribed. Just not worth it ...for me anyway.

Greed
Ok so I bought the original version used it loads and loved it. However the developer obviously has decided to try and rinse more money out of its user by tricking them into an update that requires a monthly sign on fee. So deletion beckons and this App will disappear eventually. Note to the developer people dislike being ripped off !!! Adobe will do well out of this....
