Since the launch of the blog in 2014, My Fussy Eater has fast become one of the leading family food blogs worldwide, and now you can access over 200 of the most popular recipes from the blog and Instagram plus over 100 EXCLUSIVE recipes that can’t be found anywhere else.
As a mum of two young children, Ciara the founder of My Fussy Eater and Pick Plates, has created this app with not only busy parents and care givers in mind, but also families dealing with picky eaters or specific food allergies or intolerances.
Main Features:
- Over 350 healthy, family friendly recipes using simple ingredients.
- Filter recipes not only by meal type but also by specific diets such as dairy free / gluten free / egg free and nut free.
- Search function allows you to search not only by recipe, but by specific ingredient.
- View recipes in standard format or as a recipe card which breaks down the method into step by step instructions listing the required ingredient for that step.
- Settings function allows you to view ingredients in either UK or US measurements.
- Meal planner function allows you to plan breakfast, lunches, dinners and snacks for the entire family for a whole week.
- Shopping list function automatically calculates the total amount of all the ingredients required for your chosen recipes from the meal planner function and can be sent somewhere else on your phone including your Notes.
- The favourites button allows you to save your favourite recipes and then view them quickly and easily in the drop down menu.

Game changer for me!
Love this app, I can pick my recipes and it will give me a shopping list in exact amounts. It helps me save pennies and the recipes are fun for the kids too!

Amazing
This app was so helpful with my kids the are asking for pizza bagels and banana pancakes everyday! Before this app my kids hated most food but I’m so thankful I found this app as it gives lots of variety and variations to keep them interested! Thank you so much 😊

It’s ok as far as meal ideas go. They are however very samey pasta ones, several Mac n Cheese recipes. I feel there could be more vegetarian and vegan recipes and much more variety. I wouldn’t pay for the app had I known how little I would refer back to it.

No veggie filter?
Just downloaded this because of the good reviews and it does look good, but if I was going to serve meat at every meal my son would gladly eat everything. We try to be as veggie as possible and I really needed ideas for that, so disappointed that I can’t filter the recipes for this. Scrolling through they are majority meat apart from some mac and cheese dishes.

Brilliant app
My 3 year old daughter is a fussy eater. Found this app she really likes the food we made a family cottage pie which we both enjoyed and she liked the butternut squash bites.

Amazing App. Highly Recommended.
This app is absolutely Amazing! I love it and love the genuine woman behind it. She’s a gem!
The app is made easy to browse according to diet, meal or duration of cooking. It also has a healthy made easy section not only for children. Lots of meals have became staples in our home.
On another note, there’s no magic to overcome fussy eating it’s a process. However this app and the website provide loads of ideas as well as strategies to manage it.

This app is absolutely amazing. I love the variety and the organisation. The meal planer is a great idea, and I can search by food/diet etc. I also love the fact that it’s a one off payment and not a subscription. Will recommend it to all my Mum friends!

Fab ideas for families
I’ve been using this app for some time and as my children have grown dipped into it for different ideas. Easy tasty lunches, snacks and breakfast ideas in particular. 👍🏻

Great recipes but...
This is a great app with lots of meal ideas for little ones but there are some recipes on the website not on the app. Feel a bit cheated that I paid for the app but still have to go online to get some recipes for free.

Love it
There is an endless supply of recipes! I spend hours scrolling through them then finding that I've hearted almost all of them! 😊 I just think that there could be more minor functions such as comments like on the blog and Instagram page or somewhere to sort the recipes into folders like you might on something like pinterest. There could be somewhere to ask questions for example, for an alternative ingredient. I love the card feature! Overall excellent app. 👍

MyFussyEater is an amazing app it really helps you cook I just love cooking with my mum we have already made lots of recipes like over night oats with cocoa and banana we also made Mac and cauliflower cheese that was delicious 😋 we made lots more as well I think you should really get this app 🐶

A godsend!
This is an absolute treasure for parents who are ‘domestically challenged’. The meal planner function tied with the user friendly shopping list is exactly what I needed. I hope to see more and more recipes added in the future as I’ll be using it all the time.

Way more categories and recipes on the website.
Wanted the app to be able to make is easier and also use ‘Family Meals’ to find fab recipes, but that’s not an option and the meals from that section aren’t on the app.
Really not worth the 3.99. Just use the website.

Easy peasy, yummy and healthy
So impressed! As an Italian I treasure delicious, healthy food but also quick easy recipes that don’t require to be the owner of a supermarket to have access to the ingredients. Love this app. I’ve already made a couple of dishes to total satisfaction of my kid as well as the grown ups

Little disappointed
A little dissatisfied with this purchase, majority of what’s on the app you can find on the authors Instagram page. I thought by purchasing there would be a lot more. Also the breakfast section is mainly baked goods and doesn't vary. If your a working mum with little time in the mornings you’d definitely need to prep way ahead for some of these recipes.
I love the recipes but as far as apps go... wasn’t worth the money.

Have made quite a few of these recipes now. I have found it really helpful for ideas when lacking inspiration. Would be helpful if all of the recipes let you know if it was suitable for freezing or not.

Disappointed
As with another reviewer I bought this thinking all the recipes from the website would be on this app but no, in fact it is very limited and I have no idea how you can save recipes to favourites! Don’t waste your money like I just have and just look on the website instead, not impressed!

Ok but not as many recipes as expected
Good format and easy to navigate but many of the recipes on the fussy eater website are not on here so you still end up switching between the two. I bought the app to avoid having to use the website which isn’t easy to use on my phone.

So pleased with the addition of the favourites button and especially being able to filter by favourites too! Makes it super simple to get straight to our favourite recipes that we use week in week out!

Good recipes but app needs some extras
The recipes are good, categorised which is helpful but a favourites button would be such a great help so recipes I want to save because I like them or want to go back later are close at hand. I would use this app a lot more if this was included. I hope this is updated soon!

So handy!
I always struggle to know what to cook my daughters every meal time, as they’re quite fussy so this app has been so handy and very helpful. My girls have really enjoyed all the recipes we’ve tried so far and it’s so nice to be able to quickly check an app for some mealtime inspirational!!! I’d definitely recommend.

I’ve been following this lady’s blog for a while now and coping her recipes for my 2 year old, so I was so thrilled when she announced she was creating an app as it now makes it much easier to save recipes and create a shopping list. Fantastic app a must if you have children. The recipes are yummy for us adults too

A great app full of healthy recipes the kitchen da will actually want to eat! My 4 love nothing more than an app, and picking a recipe on the app to make together is much more fun than faffing with a cookbook when you’re 5 ;)

The recipies are good, but there is no way to save or favourite them whixh makes finding them again more difficult. Would be great if they could add a favourites function.

This app is fab. I’ve followed Ciara ( my fussy eater) for a while now and the whole family enjoy the meals/ snacks I have made. The recipes are very easy to follow. And most of the ingredients you will have at home. I love that it’s all now in one place & I can’t wait to discover some new recipes! :)

I’ve been following My Fussy Eaters blog for sometime now and although my little ones are now teens I love her family friendly recipes. It’s great to have them in an app, the facility to be able to add the ingredients to a shopping list and go is a great touch
