Version 2.19.0
These are the good things: -I can listen when and where I want, e.g. when going to sleep, practising my choral soprano part and when I am working on detailed botanical painting. -I like to listen on a phone and on an iPad. -some of the podcasts are invaluably informative e.g. Ukrainecast, Americast and sometimes Newscast (although infrequently). My favourites are historical drama such as all Jane Austin, Dickens, Hardy, the current “Mary Barton” is excellent. More good stuff is documentary e.g. In Our Time, Archive on 4, From our own Correspondent, and recently Who Is Xi Jinping. Etc What I dislike: -Pop music….too much of it. The Scottish programmes in the section from Scotland are very poor as is the BBC Scotland programming on TV. (I’m Scottish!) -contemporary drama, it’s mostly dreadful! Sorry! - A lot of the drama is left on for far too long in sounds particularly historical. - I’d like more Dickens, Emile Zola, Somerset Maugham, William Trevor, Maupassant………please!
I have to congratulate you on the truly excellent comedy “It’s a Fair Cop” I’ve listened to all of them and am addicted Alfie,to his humour and cheeky interaction with studio audience. My Favourite…….”Zeus!”
