Description

Only use this app if you have the Dexcom G6 CGM System.
See your glucose number and where it’s heading with just a quick glance at your compatible smart device* with the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System – Approved for diabetes treatment decisions with zero fingersticks†, no scanning, and no calibration. Discuss with your healthcare professional how you should use the information displayed on the Dexcom G6 to help manage your diabetes.
*For a list of compatible smart devices, please visit dexcom.com/compatibility.
†If your glucose alerts and readings from the Dexcom G6 do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions.
Dexcom G6 provides real-time glucose readings as frequently as every five minutes. Dexcom G6 is approved for children age 2 and older.
The Dexcom G6 System provides personalized trend alerts right on your smart device and lets you see when your glucose levels are going too low, or too high, so you can better manage your diabetes. The Alert Schedule feature lets you schedule and customize a second set of alerts. Custom alert sounds are available, including a Vibrate-Only option on the phone for glucose alerts. The only exception is the Urgent Low Alarm, which you can’t turn off.
The Always Sound setting allows you to receive certain Dexcom CGM Alerts even if your phone sound is off, set to vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This will allow you to silence calls or texts but still receive audible CGM Urgent Low Alarm and alerts: Low and High Glucose alert, Urgent Low Soon, and Rise and Fall Rate. Always Sound is on by default. A Home screen icon shows you if your Alerts will sound or not. For safety, the Urgent Low alarm and these alerts can’t be silenced: Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped.
In addition to the accurate performance provided by the Dexcom Sensor, you’ll receive other valuable features:
• Share your glucose data with your followers who can monitor your glucose data and trends on their compatible smart device with the Dexcom Follow app. Share and Follow functions require an internet connection
• Health app access so you can share retrospective glucose data with third party apps
• Today View widget, which allows you to view your glucose data on the lock screen of your smart device
• Ask Siri* to read your current glucose value, using a custom phrase
• A Dexcom Clarity link on the landscape trend graph lets you easily transition to the Clarity App to view more information on your glucose trends
*Siri may not be available in all regions. Check Apple’s website to see if Siri is available in your country.
Apple Watch
View your glucose information, trend graph, and alerts and alarms right from your wrist with the Dexcom G6 Apple Watch app. Watches require compatible smart device to use app.
Dexcom G6 watch face complications allow you to view your glucose number and arrow from your watch face

iOS Incompatibility

I’ve been using this app for over a year and have had minimal issues however in the last couple of days it doesn’t allow me to use the app at all, locking me out with the screen that says it’s only compatible with iOS 18.6 or above when the app description says it works with iOS 15.0 or later and I’m using iOS 17.6.1 👎👎 It’s caused me a lot of stress as I don’t get any alerts anymore and have no way of checking my blood sugars on the app now.

Siri shortcut no longer works

Since the last IOS update the Siri shortcut to get my glucose reading no longer works. I’ve tried deleting and recreating the shortcut but I still get the same error that it cannot be executed.
This was a key feature for me to be able to see my glucose at a glance without having to unlock my phone and go into the app. Please fix this in the next update!!!

Dropped Siri From app

Last time I updated the app, it seems to have taken the function away from Siri… so when I used to ask, “hey Siri, what’s my glucose?” it used to answer back with my reading from Decom G6.
Will the next update put this feature back into use? Or has the update disrupted the function? As it was a really handy thing to be able to have, especially when I was driving, so I wouldn’t have to touch my phone because that is illegal!

What’s my glucose shortcut broken in latest update

Lovely app, works well and allows me to keep track. However latest update broke the shortcut to check blood sugar. It now says, “There was a problem communicating with the app” and I’m no longer able to get instant access to the blood sugar graph.

Dexcom g6

The problems with the deck from GX are the two hour two hour drops for a new sensor the fact that it doesn’t read every minute like the libre does it is very big on my stomach and it is quite silly having a transmitter and the case as separate however that being said here are some of the advantages of the Decom, it is compatible with more than the Libra has a little bit of a simple app app guess that’s okay so yeah that’s why I’ve given it three stars

@This needs some updates

Love the app as I recently moved onto Dexcom G6 just over 3 months ago and I had a widget on my Lock Screen so I didn’t need to unlock my phone to look. But for about 2 months now there hasn’t been a widget this has ment that when in school I’ve had to unlock my phone to look at my bloods. So when I’m in a lesson and I go to look at my bloods my class think that I’m texting or on TikTok. Which is really annoying. Add a widget it would really help.

Great but needs some attention

Really like this system and has helped my averages come down for once in the 40 years of being type 1. Thank you! So what it really needs is constant updating! In this day and age Dexcom needs to keep up with phone updates and adding new easy to view ways. The widget on iPhone has been missing for a while now.. come on! Apple Watch reading on Lock Screen is so tiny since an Apple update ages ago.. think Dexcom and sort it for the guys with bad eyesight… I have glasses and I can’t read it hardly! We are having to use work around all the time which is silly when you have the tech and know how to sort these things! Permanent view on Lock Screen of iPhone please! It may seem insignificant to you but to us diabetics it means quick action can be taken. Let’s catch up please Dexcom and keep ahead of competitors. Both you and Apple need to stop blaming each other and put your heads together !

Has been better!

This app was excellent when I moved over to the G6 in September 2023. Unfortunately with every iOS update it loses some useful features! First the watch complication for the G6 grew too small to read without tapping it. Many of my T1 friends have sight problems so this was very frustrating!
Now in the most recent update we’ve lost the Dexcom widget! Disappointing as now we get widgets on the lock screen!! Please, please you wonderful geeky app developers catch up with Apple updates! 🙏🙏🙏

Not maintained

This app is not kept current by Dexcom. They want users to stay on some ancient version of IOS, which may be impossible for owners of new iPhones.
The widget does not work on iOS 18, so the app and its phone are only useful for changing the sensor and retransmitting readings.

I love the tech, but....

The app is old and clunky, there are many bugs and UI errors. Looks like it's not been updated since the iPhone 10. I'm not kidding! And since installing iOS 18 the widget is gone! This widget was essential. Fix this please, now!
Plus the screen layout, icons etc, simple don't fit within the current interface.
For a company such as this, it's size, it's money, I expected more. It's a bit shoddy. Especially for a medical device.
5/5 for the tech, 1/5 for the app.

Issues with alerts on Apple Watch

For the last few months my alerts haven’t been vibrating on my Apple Watch which means I’m not warned when my blood sugar is dropping - potentially very dangerous! Have spoken to Apple and checked all settings - they advise that it’s a known issue and needs to be resolved by Dexcom so hoping this is being looked into as the alerts were one of the main reasons I chose Dexcom but the software isn’t working as it should.

Problems post IOS 18 update

This was an excellent app until the IOS 18 update when the Widget was removed and now glucose levels can only be seen by unlocking the phone and opening the G6 App. With the widget a quick swipe on the Home Screen would reveal the level, trend arrow and graph.

Poor Apple Watch widget

What have you done with the size of the numbers in the apple watch face complication? They are tiny. Sort it out apple.
Edit 25/8/24 - I’ve used the g7 Dexcom for a free trail sensor I got from my hospital. The watch widget is the way the old g6 used to be displayed on my watch - good size numbers and rarely looses the numbers where you have to click the ‘lines’ to open the app the refresh the widget - and there is the option to add the g7 as a phone screen widget - Dexcom g6 doesn’t have this, and the interface for apple watch is still minute.
How can it work perfectly for the g7 app but not the g6?

Best I’ve had so far

I have had Dexcom g7 freestyle Libre 2 and now I’m on g6, so far g6 has been my absolute favourite. It is easy to understand gives readings accurately. It’s pretty much perfect but one slight improvement would be to lower the waiting time when you put it on 2 hours is a long time also after it starts working there can be a few inaccurate readings but not loads. Over all I think it outdoes all the other sensors! 😁

We have fought with this entire system for more than a month. Constantly high blood sugar and the system does not react.

I am on a closed loop system insulin pump and use the Dexcom G6. I have never known a sensor loose connection so many times as the Dexcom G6 does, so how am I supposed to control my diabetes? Tip for G6 owners - Don’t “upgrade” to G7 !!

About 3 months ago I “upgraded” to G7, and despite the advantages of 30 minute warmup and smaller size, experience has been awful!
I have only had one G7 sensor that has remained vaguely accurate out of all the sensors. There are a plethora of issues, such as massively inaccurate readings (for literally the whole 10 days). The amount of sleep I have lost due to false war I g if hypos’s is beyond a joke - literally had to silence the alarms or close the application! Hardly much point in having such a device if it can’t undertake its primary role.
The G7 app also constantly has “calibration in progress” bugs that get stuck in a loop. The readings then go completely out of sync until you have to remove and reinstall the G7 app. A simple fix you would think? Nope! You have to have the QR code from the original applicator to setup the G7 again….bot much point in having a smaller CGM if you have to carry around the original applicator in case the error occurs (had it 3 times in 3 days with last sensor).
Did I mention that Dexcom support only IOS 17.1.1 - a full 10 revisions out of date with current OS! So you can choose to have a IOS with hundred of critical security patches missing and be compliant with Dexcom, or secure your phone on latest IOS and be out if support with Dexcom.
Dexcom need to stop the relentless TV advertising of their products and spend that budget fixing all the bugs!

Good but could be better

On the whole this is a good system, it seems to work reliably most of the time, it’s clear and easy to understand. It integrates with Apple Health and has a lot of data available (albeit on a separate app).
Improvements that need to be addressed in my view are, I constantly get a message saying that Dexcom are still testing the app on my latest software version (ever since I updated to iOS 17). This should be prioritised and Dexcom should be all over software updates, both their own and iOS.
It takes a longer time than I’m comfortable with to reconnect when I’m out of range of my phone for any reason. A manual check button or a force reconnect button would be helpful.
I also find that I get low blood sugar soon alerts too late, for example, I may be 7.0 with rapidly falling arrows yet it doesn’t notify me until I’m almost at 4.0, it would be better to be warned more in advance, luckily I have good hypo awareness but some may find this an issue.
The 2 hour warm up period is quite lengthy too at 2 hours, Freestyle Libre is just an hour which is a big difference.

App is a total nightmare

For months and months I have struggled with this app and constant signal loss. I keep my phone near me at all times but still get signal loss. The alerts drive me mad and are just a constant reminder of my Type 1 diabetes. I have spoken to Dexcom numerous times and it’s still not resolved. I even bought a brand new SE phone and it still doesn’t work properly. Apple have run a full diagnostic test on my phone and Bluetooth is working fine. My hospital team are relying on the clarity app data to make adjustments but it’s often incomplete and inaccurate. All in all, a nightmare app for me!

It’s almost there - just add a Lock Screen widget!!!

I’ve had diabetes for over half my life now and Dexcom has made my life significantly better. The fact I can just look down and see my blood sugars on my apple watch rather than making myself bleed every time is 1) a massive time saver 2) stopped my hands from getting destroyed 3) has meant I don’t have to be embarrassed to check my bloods and 4) has given me better control, which is good for my health and mental health.
The only thing I am genuinely surprised the devs haven’t added is a widget for the Lock Screen that displays your blood sugars- much like the one on the watch. I know it might not seem like it would save a lot of time, but especially with always-on displays all it would take would be a quick glance at your phone, rather than having to open it up.
For me the speed is something I didn’t realise would be such an important benefit of Dexcom, but adding a widget could decrease that time one needs to be reminded they are diabetic massively over an extended period.

Watch complication useless

For over a year, the Apple Watch complication, which has only ever worked on the old Modular face, is too small to read. It looks ridiculous. I’m staggered that the developer hasn’t seen fit to fix this. It means I always have to go into the app to see the reading as it’s too small on a complication, particularly on an Ultra.
Further, the complication is often blank, rendering it even more useless. You have to tap the blank complication to go into the app then quit out to see the complication refreshed.
In the US, they have had a larger graph readout for many years. Why can’t we have that?

Bailey,

Hi, i think dexcom is great and was the best type of monitor to go for. The only problem was when i update my iPhone software i have to wait for Dexcom to update before hand, which isn't much of a problem, i hadn't known this and updated my phone to the newest version. Sadly when i did so the Dexcom app wasn't up to date with the newest version, which means it could take from 7 days to a couple months for the app to update. So the only suggestion is that they try and update the app as soon as possible!

Urgent low alarm only every 30 minutes? What!?!?

The overriding primary purpose of a CGM is to ensure the user is aware of life threatening low blood sugar levels.
Instead of this, if you are having an urgent low, below 3.1 mmol/L, the app will play an alert every 30 minutes. As the user is likely to be deep asleep when they need this most, this is an incredibly stupid setting. The user could literally be falling into a low blood glucose coma and needs all the alarming and waking up they can get!!! Why isn’t this alarm continuous? Until the user is woken and responds? Why doesn’t the alarm say “Take sugar now!”
Of the many failings of this app, this is the worst.

I have found this awesome give me great control and keeps me updated
one thing with the latest update. The home screen isn’t updating the current values . I have to flip the screen to the side to look at the graph and then back before it updates . Wonder if you could have a look at that, apart from that, much maculate than the previous type I was using.

New update is buggy

Since the update, the numbers frequently don’t update for an hour or so and the Follow feature doesn’t work any more. Quite a serious problem for me because I’m alone with my small children a lot and I need my family to know if I’m having a blood sugar issue.

Great App

App does what it needs to. The customisation for the alarms is good. I absolutely love the Apple Health integration, having my blood glucose recorded there as well is extremely helpful. Really grateful that there is a companion Apple Watch app, this was a game changer for my diabetes being able to check my blood glucose at a glance any time of day on my watch Home Screen.
I would really like to see some more iOS integrations like modern widgets so I can put it on my Lock Screen and on my iPhone Home Screen.
It would be really helpful to see more information in the app about the Dexcom transmitter. I get one or two notifications when the battery is due to run out but these are weeks in advance and it’s very easy to loose track of when the transmitter is due to expire and if there is enough time left to start another sensor

UK version substandard

For some reason Dexcom doesn’t release all the features it touts on its website in the UK version of its software. UK customers are very evidently second class citizens to Dexcom. No Carplay, no IOS14 style Widget. It took ages before they released Siri compatibility, compared with the US. I still cannot acknowledge and alert via Siri. I just don’t understand why I can’t have useful, common-sense features and have to waste my time finding work arounds for all the obvious things the software lacks. I’m really sick of it.

It’s ok, however needs improving

I have recently changed from Libre 2 to the G6 - in which is amazing as it checks my levels all the time. However, I’m having issues with the alarms - they’re not going off. I’m receiving the notification but no sound, so when I’m at work my phone is on silent and at night I have the focus ‘do not disturb’. Whereas on the Libre, when my phone was on silent or do not disturb, my phone would alarm me if my sugars were high/low. Please could you look at improving this as I have noticed, on the Libre notification settings, there is an option for Critical Alerts where this will sound even on silent and in any focus setting?

Great, but..

It’s amazing but there are some issues. I was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago, and was finger pricking at first. After a while of having my diabetes, I was given a Libre. It was alright, but there where some issues, so I started on the dexcom. At first it was great, no issues at all. But after a few changes, I started noticing some problems. Firstly, whenever I change the sensor, there can be signal loss for hours, even after the sensor warmup has completed. Secondly, if my phone dies, it can take awhile just for my readings to show up again, which can be quite frustrating. Overall, dexcom is great but can use some improvement.

Generally can’t fault it

Really superb app; having been through everything else this is the best glucose monitor I have used. Love the green-ness of the fact that the transmitter is reused moving from sensor to sensor for three months. Others become expensive junk after a couple of weeks. only thing for improvement is that you can’t snooze the alarm for an hour - say - when you have a high alert and you have taken insulin and want to go to sleep. It will wake you up every 5 mins until the sugar level falls even if you have done everything you should do.

Fantastic once bugs are fixed

I’ve had Dexcom for a few years and it’s worked perfectly and helped me to keep within range at the gym and before sleep etc. being able to see the trend of my blood glucose on the graph.
My issue with this app at the moment is the fact that I’ve gone through 2 transmitters in a week because the app says it is no longer working properly and to reinstall (which doesn’t fix the issue). I was wondering if this is a wider issue or isolated to myself?

Okay but needs improvement

I was diagnosed about 7 weeks ago with type 1 diabetes and it have kind of been a rollercoaster. the NHS gave me a free sensor called a ‘libre’ and it was okay but there were a few times it wasn’t the best so I got Dexcom. I heard it from my brother who has a friend with diabetes type 1 which is kind of good because I can hear if he has been out for a milkshake or to a nightclub drinking. He has a Dexcom and so we got one. The accuracy is amazing but we have noticed a pattern in that the sooner the sensor is running out the less accurate it is the other thing is that if I am in my room and my phone is in the kitchen then it’s signal loss on the screen and it can be really frustrating sometimes. The last thing is that abroad it doesn’t tend to work. Okay luckily my rant is over now so thanks for reading this and I hope you have a lovely day

Readings stopped showing on Applewatch

I’ve used Dexcom on Applewatch for months. Suddenly, this morning the readings don’t show. Despite, uninstalling the Dexcom app on the watch and resetting the entire watch and reloading the app, no readings are showing. It just say ‘Check Dexcom Mobile app on your iPhone’. The only reason I bought an Applewatch was to show Dexcom readings. Help!

Absolutely terrible

I would never recommend this there is to much to say on why a few main points is this app drains your battery you cannot tend to new updates your phone needs and it completely inaccurate for me I’d be 2.7 and it’ll tell me I’m 17.2 I’m so lucky I’m not hypo unaware but people who are use this the main reason is the app stoped working properly and said to delete it so I did but it just wouldn’t re download afterwards I’m going back to a libre it works way better with just a littler more works

What’s with the long wait?

Been using the app/sensor for about 3 months now. And it’s amazing!. But Jesus.. the time you have to wait to set up a sensor(2 hours), and to wait when the sensor loses signal (30 mins) or has a error (3 hours) is ridiculous!. Especially for someone with hyperglycaemia awareness problems 🤦🏻‍♂️.
Sort it out Dexcom.. Libra isn’t like this.

Dexcom G6

Fantastic product and does everything you want for monitoring. It detects trends of how high or low you are so you’re responses are effectively quicker and better for you.
My health over the last 2 years has improved and this product for me is superb
Only drawback and this is huge is the cost
£160 a month is horrendous and ultimately will put people off. I recently went to my GP to ask for assistance and this was declined and a much lesser product was offered called libra or something like this
If you can afford it it will enhance control of Type 1 Diabetes

App could use some changes

The dexcom is great and my Hba1c has dropped from 90 to 62 since starting a continuous glucose meter. My only downside is the app could be more user friendly. When entering in ‘events’ it would be great to be able to do carbs, insulin and a note in one go rather than add them separately. I feel this is its biggest downfall in comparison to the libre.

Amazing

From the UK here and NHS still isn’t providing this for me. My GP still doesn’t have this yet. But I have seen others who do have it from NHS so it depends on your “practice”. It’s pricey £159 if this could be lowered it would be great especially for those who can’t afford it monthly. Also little things like No adhesive plasters when paying that price really does make a difference. But let me tell my sugar has never been so balanced since I first got my diabetes. Amazing app! Also I don’t have any issues when sleeping with it on. I love it thank you Dexcom ☺️❤️👏🏾

Let me turn off all alerts!!!!

So you can turn off all the alerts except the low soon one which is stupid I am not going to die if I drop below 3.1 so please let me change it to if I drop below 2.1 which I would actually class as urgent. So since you won’t let me change that at least let me turn it off. Also the fact it can bypass silent mode is stupid as well. No app should be able to bypass silent mode unless there is an earthquake or something. So I guess I will have to mute my phone in the night so I can actually sleep. If you value your sleep don’t use this.

Poor iOS app

The Dexcom G6 is a good piece of hardware let down by poor software. The app is very limited- it shows readings and past results for 24hrs but not much else. On the Watch, the lack of a small complication is very frustrating as we need a way to glance at any Watch face to see the current reading. And inexcusably- the low level forced alarm is almost a deal breaker and absolutely should be optional. It turns the system into something very stressful when I know I am hypo and am already taking glucose. An alarm that sounds with no way to silence or disable is ridiculous for a device owned by grown adults. This app looks like it had minimal iOS development and could do with feature enhancements.

New Dexcom user

This app works well but the website is updated more than the app. Tried to setup Siri shortcut as per the website but because I’m in the UK I don’t have that feature. (Confusing) is also disappointed that because I’m in the UK I’m still unable to change/update complications on my watch as well as the widget function. For someone that’s diabetic forking out 159£ a month the application and it’s features could do with a big update overhaul as it’s not up to par with the device itself.

Too much signal loss

I’ve only been using the Dexcom system for less than a month and every day, multiple times a day I get the signal loss, app stopped working error messages. This is a huge inconvenience as it means I have to carry the original receiver around with me too. I love the Dexcom, love how much control it gives me back, but for an expensive Apple device, this is not quality.

Someone needs to pay attention to detail

I’m visually impaired so using voiceover and Siri are essential for me. I’ve managed to set up a shortcut so that if I ask Siri what my blood sugar is, the app will open and my screen reader will be activated. Nobody at Dexcom tech support was able to help me do this which isn’t a good sign. I managed it and I can’t see the menus properly. I recently got a series six Apple Watch and thought that this might make life easier. If I use voiceover on the watch, it doesn’t read the numbers and trend arrows properly. This is purely laziness on the part of the app and complication designers and implementation team. Considering the number of diabetics who suffer from some form of sight loss, you’d think it would be a feature they would want to get right.

Review

Dexcom is an excellent piece of technology!! There is an issues though particularly with the app!
You can’t turn your phone off at any point even if it’s battery has run out as you have to reinstall and it wipes a lot of data.
I cant remember how many times I re installed it now and it is the same if you happen to be 6 meters away.
Otherwise it’s amazing

Dexcom for Real

Dexcom has been in many ways a lifesaver in that it makes life easier. But it does has its drawbacks. On many occasions the app has failed to work resulting in the whole process of reinstalling codes and warm up. It’s very expensive, about £159 a month and completely out of many people’s range. Would I recommend it, yes. Many potential users have younger lifestyles where finger pricking is a chore. But clearly Dexcom needs to be much easier to access, cheaper for all and a better follow up service. They would certainly get more subscribers.

Accuracy good, battery drain high, signal lost

Summary: horrible on battery iPhone 7, accuracy great. Signal lost multiple times and gets confused with car Bluetooth.
Brand new user here having paid 159 pounds to Dexcom for a trial starter pack with three sensors. Unfortunately the app works a short while, then signal lost maybe 20 times a day. Battery drain extremely high on iPhone 7.
The accuracy is the only thing giving it an extra star but if you do have a drop in sugar don’t expect the software to pick it up - rendering it severely lower in use than a freestyle libre. The idea is amazing , the execution unfortunately isn’t quite there yet. Maybe the next iteration of software will iron out the issues.

Phone app is ok; Watch app is awful

Like many reviewers, I pay almost £2k p.a. Dexcom G6 system - primarily for the proactive alerting and trend reports it provides for my blood glucose levels.
Sadly, the supporting app is pretty poor, and despite some friendly tech support staff, shows a glacial rate of development.
Examples:
- poor Apple Health integration, e.g. cannot read insulin delivery from outside the app
- UK watch app STILL doesn’t support the Apple Watch 5 complications properly, meaning the new faces can’t display your BG level
- quality reporting requires an additional app, plus uploading your personal data to the US (for anyone not aware, the US has a shocking lack of privacy protection)
Given the cost, I think it’s more than reasonable to expect better - especially as the main competitor has recently become free on the NHS... the ball is in your court Dexcom!

Good system, basic app

System seems to work well but app feels very basic. Please add a notes/comments field, and do something to simplify the data entry - for once Libre has it right here, with one screen to add both your carbs and insulin together. There are too many steps and extra “Confirms” for every meal and data entry.
But - the landscape view is good, and having an option to limit the height of the y axis is appreciated! (Although custom level would be nice)

App developing team need to do some work.

If there was a 0 star for the app I would of chose that. The Dexcom G6 system is fantastic, however your app is dreadful. Since getting the iPhone 11 pro a month ago. I’ve had nothing but problems. Considering you partnered with Apple at their keynote a few years ago and even your ceo was on stage with Tim Cook bragging about dexcom on the Apple Watch.
Now let’s talk about the app that our American friends get to use. No waiting for updates like the U.K. they have had Siri shortcut for over a year. Here in the U.K. to get a Siri reading we have to use a 3rd party app sugrmate.
Apple Watch integration is very poor, for example you have to move the watch Dial and scroll from 1hr, 3hr and 6hr to get the watch to display your current reading. It’s actually quicker to get my phone out of my pocket and take it from it’s leather case and look that way.
For such an expensive system that costs £2000 a year, the fact your developer team don’t keep up to date is the biggest let down to your great company. Everybody in the U.K. feels this way. I will be considering a different system once my contract is up.

*Doesn’t sound during do not disturb* - additionally causes issue with wireless CarPlay

Since iOS 13 Additional to the below the app currently does not alert in do no disturb mode dispute the setting being set to always sound.
The app works - as other reviewers have said it could do with some improvements. Main issue is when the apps gets the data from the sensor if you are connected to wireless apple CarPlay it causes a connection issue. The support seem unable to understand this issue and I have logged a complaint.

Dexcom g6 is going to go bust with this sort of tech

I have dexcom g6 and iphone xs with ios 12.3 and the sensor lost connection almost 3 to 4 times a day. Upgraded to ios 13 and now its showing no signal for 3 hours plus despite switching bluetooth on and off, switching phone on and off, turning off location services and battery saving as well as all other apps on background app refresh. And yet dexcom monitor keeps working which suggests that dexcom is incompatible with apple iphone. So now have to carry 2 phones and 1 moniter. What a waste of money. Dexcom considering you are in a tech service, you should replace your tech team if they cant get it to work with the latest apple mobile smart device!

Please read dexcom!

I am a g6 user and have been for a while. I recently got a apple
Watch series 3 and yes you do have some support for it and that’s why I decided that is what I wanted. Once I got one I was pleased with the Dexcom features and compatibility with watch faces but one crucial thing is that I have to have a watch face with a large complication so I can’t use any nice sleek watch faces I have to use bulky once’s that personally don’t look very nice. I hope you can make just a small complication that can fit nicely at the side. Thank you -FireFox

Thank you!

First of all thank you Dexcom! The G6 has been a life changer to me! It has really changed my life for the better so thank you! The only request I have is that you update the app to support the new complications on the Apple Watch series 4. I’m certain it has to be in the pipeline?

What happened Dexcom??

I always found the Dexcom g5 great - no real problems with the device or the app. As soon as I found out about the g6 and the subscription for the year (which worked out far cheaper!) I jumped at the chance.
What a mistake! The app is rubbish, and keeps crashing, my sensors keep failing, I can never get through on the phone, my complaint has been ignored, and I’m tied into this for another 8 months!!
I am truly disappointed and upset I have been left in this position when all I wanted to do is manage my diabetes as well as I can. Considering the £160 I pay per month, it’s a disgrace!! Steer clear!
