So I recently signed up to Kinkoo after the site being recommended by a friend.
I haven’t been on it long but the overall concept, design and purpose is all fine and easy to navigate however, the limit of 1 free message per user before being required to go VIP and pay, may be a good strategy to covert prospects into buyers, I feel as if one message isn’t enough to engage or get a real understanding of the benefits of using the platform would be.
It’s 5* in my eyes but maybe to engage with more people and convert more sales in the long run, as well as retain people visiting the site, increase the message limit of the functional abilities of newbies so they can explore and gather a better experience and understanding of whether the platform works or not for them individually

Aside from there not being a lot of people near me/ only being shown people in the USA (I’m British), the two-step verification process is irritating. The photo that they make public is of you with your thumb up, but the in-app camera takes the photo when you blink, so you end up with a photo on your profile with your thumb up and your eyes closed. Couldn’t you put some delay on that? The other photo they ask for for verification has a different system where you have to blink, and you’re given 10 seconds, within which you need to take the photo or they’ll ask you to blink again. This system makes complete sense- why not carry it over for the public one?

It’s ridiculous having an app that makes you have to pay just to message someone, so if you want to converse with a match, you can’t. Take a leaf from the likes of tinder and bumble, they are both successful and surely high earners too.
About 80% of users are blatantly bots that just want your money, they are easily tripped up and uncovered though but it’s just tedious.
All this is from someone in the UK, maybe it functions better in the states or whatever I don’t know but honestly just don’t waste your time!

After downloading the app and setting up a profile, I was annoyed to find that most of the features a locked behind an EXPENSIVE subscription. After 2 days I finally started to speak to someone (note not even within the same country) only to be stopped and informed that each user only gets 5 FREE MESSAGES. The excuse given is to stop spammers... I don’t understand how that is meant to prevent scammers. All it is doing is alienating free users. I am unwilling to even consider the subscription as my experience with the free elements offered me so little that I can’t even decide whether I enjoyed the app. The inability to search my area for free meant i struggled to gauge whether there were people in my area or not and to make matters worse the app kept glitching out telling me that no matches could be made. Even when I set the search parameters to so board that it must pick up even one person it still told me that there was NO ONE at all.
Overall, I doubt I’ll ever come back. This was a waste of time, energy and patients only to get nothing in return. I would recommend ANY OTHER dating app.

If I could award no stars, I would.
I have paid to be a full member of this site, which allows me the full benefits available to members. Finding other members in your locale is very difficult, unless you live in the US, as searches automatically default to there.
The biggest frustration I’ve had, is that when others show an interest in you, or even more frustrating, message you, they are rarely displayed, so you don’t necessarily know who’s messaged you, or what the message is! Technical problems like this are also never rectified when reported. Have asked for money back, but have received no reply.

I’m in England and the only people who come up are girls from the USA, which really isn’t helpful. Plus, you can’t even send more than a single message to each person. Pathetic.

I live in the UK and all the people on the swipe page are in the US and you are limited to how many you can view, not just swipe. Over all a very poor app with no substantial features on the free version and based on how poor the app is I can’t see the upgrade being worth it at all.

I’ve been using this app for a while but recently it’s started to log me out on my iPad within about 5 seconds of signing in every single time. It works fine on my phone just not on my iPad. Also find the group message notifications are very annoying. Is there a way to switch these sounds off or even leave a particular group so I don’t keep get bombarded with noise ever time I’m on the app. Please can someone advise. This would be a good app if it worked properly
