Shocking app lacking features
I use etoro for trading and have no real issues with the trading platform. The money app is shocking and needs a massive upgrade to match competitors. Would be great to use for day to day banking and a crypto wallet. As a platinum+ member I am now using revolut more and more as they seem to be on the right track.

Absolutely Pointless App
Previously you could simply withdraw your money on eToro to your bank account. The developers at eToro decided that was too easy, and to make a pointless app and force it on all of their customers for no reason whatsoever.
There is literally no reason why withdrawals must be facilitated by another app. The obvious reason why they pushed this app is to attract crypto investors with the digital wallet, and since they weren’t seeing enough users, forcing it as compulsory on all of their user base.
Just a really stupid move that purposefully wastes their users time for growth metrics.
Personally, I’m sick of faffing around for my withdrawals so i’m changing to a different investment app. Congrats eToro!

Need 2 step verification to access your money, 2 step verification which doesn’t work, doesn’t send anything to your device until you’re sent a backlog of different codes from all the times you clicked “re-send”.

Don’t use this app as it is flawed
I transferred XRP into a wallet on this app from my eToro account. It’s impossible to transfer the XRP out of the app to a Kraken wallet. The app is not able to correctly construct a valid transaction with my destination tag to the public blockchain address of Kraken. The suggestion of the chat agents to leave out the destination tag would have resulted in my XRP being lost!

They use AI with limited options and agents who have no power to sort real issues. It then takes weeks to get issues resolved even though they pretend they can resolve them quickly.

First time investor learning the ropes.

Reached 8 business days and wondered what had happened.
Downloaded this app. Linked it to the trading app. Found the funds. Added Bank Account details. Withdrew funds. Funds received from eToro Money within 5 mins of download.
I feel much more confident investing now.
The main trading app had my withdrawal request as processed on the dashboard and pending on the make withdrawal screen.

eToro are quick to take your money but go silent if you try to actually spend your own bitcoins. Their support department, when and if they ever reply, know nothing and keep saying “verify your account” despite the account being verified and the confirmation email from eToro. It’s as if they are separate entities with no idea what the other is doing. I’m stuck in a loop where they confirm verification is complete, then being told to verify every time it fails (100% of the time). Absolutely dreadful.

I don’t understand why i need to be asked a lot of questions about investing when theres already an etoro app for investing. Plus i only opened this account to get my money back. Waited for 13 days to get my money. After it was processed, still i cant get my money back because I need to open an etoro money app to open and widthdraw my account. Still, 5 days have passed after opening this account, no one answers me why I cant verify my account because they wont accept my number being given. Thats my UK number, do they want me to use a random number i dont even use personally? Amazed it’s legal
The primary trading app tricks you in to saving crypto wallet, but doesn’t tell you that you cannot transfer back, so you can’t sell without, as far as I can tell, sending to another platform wallet. Judging by other reviews there are unknowable fees with doing this, and judging by comments on other apps, it’s the Wild West and they’re all out to steal your money. I tried raising a support ticket and it was automatically closed with no information provide, and a link to the general help pages, which don’t have the question I’m asking. Terrible.

Avoid Etoro at all costs
I wanted to move BTC off their platform to my own wallet (not your keys, not your coins..). To do this one must first move the BTC to the 'Etoro Money' wallet.
During this transaction, an outrageous 16% of my asset was taken by Etoro, and there was no total fee estimate before the transaction, so no warning to enable an abort.
The transaction report contained the statement 'this transaction paid ~40% more in fees due to inefficiencies associated with older wallets'. Great! The blockchain transaction fee was way over the average reported for the day in question.
I then had to move my BTC from the Etoro wallet to my own wallet. Cue more outrageous fees, and another 'old wallet' penalty. It was not possible to move everything from the wallet because the transaction had to reserve a minimum amount for fees. The fees were slightly less than the reserved amount, so there is now about $20 of BTC left in the Etoro wallet that simply cannot be removed.
The wallet won't allow transfer because the estimated fee is more that the BTC amount. Why can't they enable a 'transfer out everything' option? Presumably Etoro intend to keep this remnant forever. Nice little racket they have here.
I posted a complaint ticket to Etoro's 'customer service' (haha) system. They promise a response in 10 days. After a month they've not bothered to respond. Nothing. Useless.
Avoid Etoro at all costs. Corporate theft.

It’s only $312 but they want a nearly $50 fee, every time I try to send it to my actual wallet so I can use it it says “amount cannot be 0”. Use every rule in the book to keep / take custody over your funds, after misleading the heck out of you up to the point
be warned, their investment platform has a wallet but that is not the same as this app. you’ll see them say wallet / money app and it’s all evidently done in such a misleading / malicious way.
won’t be able tk withdraw but you’ll be welcome to to transfer funds to the investment platform - in advance, don’t sssume there’s any other way tk withdraw / reclaim custody over your funds, you’ll only lose money via the fees / exchange fees alone the way, only to send it back and find yourself doing the same.
the app has so many other malicious aspects too its design… it will tell you your transfer has been sent, it hasn’t. with no real direction as to why - they’ll try and stall for as long as they can, you can give them everything they ask for not 10 minutes later but they’ll still just end up stalling in spite of you

Easy to transfer crypto to the wallet from EToro but withdrawing it is another story. If you want to withdraw your BTC to another wallet you will have to guess what the fee is going to be and factor that into your withdrawal amount. Mine ended up more than double the amount Etoro quote (fee was over $200). And because you are guessing the fee, when you finally succeed you will inevitably be left with £20 worth of crypto that you cannot move and may as well forget about. Wish I just cashed out on the main app and bought back direct from a decent exchange.

SCAM. I ran out of money.
I think this application is a SCAM, I have never seen a worse application, the support service is very bad, they rarely answer when you have an urgent problem and they don't even help you. I sold my phone because I needed money, and the person who bought it made a transfer to my eToro account, so they at etoro blocked my money, they blocked my account and started asking me for proof of where I got the money, and they asked me to upload the evidence to the etoro account, but the account was blocked and I couldn't log into the account, I wrote to them and they said that they should send me an email so that I can reset the password to the account and have access, but that email I did not receive it, I wrote to them and asked what to do, I did not receive an answer, this time I wrote to me again about my problem to which I received an answer that because I did not provide information on time my account is closed and the money from the account they will be returned to the account where they came from. So I lost £1000 so easily, now what do I do and how do I get my money back?? The person who bought my phone no longer answers my phone, I tried to get in touch but without success. So this is how the people from etoro left me without money in my account. But I won't give up, I will go to the end and in the judgment do as necessary. Be careful, anyone can run out of money in their account.... Better withdraw the money to another account if you have one, and stop using etoro, my advice.

Tried to move my coins to another wallet. Not only they took a hefty fee for this, but about 20$ worth of bitcoins were left in the account and I cannot transfer… they hold onto your money for no reason at all. If I want to transfer our all of my coins, the closing balance of the account (including paying their fee) should be zero.

This company advertises their wallet as a way of accessing “instant withdrawals” from your trading account.
This is not true and is a very inaccurate and misleading way of advertising services in the financial industry. While SOME customers might enjoy an instant withdrawal, this does not apply to ALL CUSTOMERS, for which reason the claims this company is making are inaccurate. I highlighted it several times but it is time that the relevant FCA looks into this. Small print: it may take up to 10 business days.

Super fast now
I read reviews saying it was really bad. But it was literally instant funding to account. The best part was instant withdrawal that was relatively easy to do. In the past it’s taken ages to withdraw money from the etoro app. I believe they must have updated this fairly recently to work a lot more seamlessly. Just what the Doctor ordered - Real-time transfers
I’ve been using the eToro trading platform for four weeks and the one frustration has been the slowness of funding my account. It can take 30-40 minutes between my bank and eToro via open banking.
Downloaded eToro money, transferred £20 from my bank account to my eToro Money account as a test. The transfer was instant.
Used eToro money to fund my eToro trading account and it took 4 seconds to validate the transaction and the money was available to invest.
I only transfer what I invest when researching and this App means I can act on opportunities when I find them.

Do not use. No idea why they’ve released this app to the general public…if you transfer money to it from your eToro app. You get locked out; “invalid password”. On a request to renew the password, I keep getting an email that opens up the eToro trading app, and from there there’s no way to get back to the Money app even if you reset your eToro password…iPhone, iOS 15.1

EToro to UK bank account instantly
Does exactly what I wanted it to. I pressed withdraw on Etoro. It said 2 days processing time but it was instantly in the e-Money app (is that what this is called?)
Set up a new recipient (my Halifax current account) and boom - instant transfer. It’s Friday evening at 8pm and I signed up for it today. Seems people are having an issue with crypto, can’t comment on that.

There’s no Cash Management section as advertised.
I don’t use crypto at all, I don’t know the first thing about it. However I do trade often and keep cash on my Etoro account. I despise the 5-7 day wait time for withdrawing, and it seemed as if this app would solve that.
But alas, unlike the pictures shown above, there is no “Cash” section on my app. Just “Crypto” and “Trades”. I don’t know what to do with that, all I care about is withdrawing cash quickly and there seems to be no way to do that with the current app update.

Good beta app
Literally does what the main branch Etoro can’t - instantly transfer monies from etoro to personal/ business accounts without having to wait 5-7 business days. Obviously the first version app needs a lot of work. But so far so good. Keep up the good work.

Overall wallet is good. Not sure what fees people are talking about? I’ve sent XRP to multiple locations with 0 fees. This is not a proper cold wallet as etoro runs maintenance on the app to keep it running but its one of the best MOBILE wallet apps out there. All these bad reviews seem to be people not understanding how to send/ receive money? Don’t use an external wallet if you don’t know how to properly send or receive crypto

Worst wallet ever
Trying to send BTC to Binance, this wallet would not let me send even if I leave 200 dollars available to pay for fees... how much are they charging in fees!? This is the worst wallet ever, they rip you off and you can’t do anything about it. No option to send max amount so you have to try several times until you figure out the fee, which is extremely high when you send BTC. I hate this wallet. It’s really annoying me. Never should’ve used it in the first place... now I’m gonna get my money stuck here and never going to be able to use.

Can not transfer coins out
First attempt to transfer coins out failed, tried again and failed, for the high fees charged by EToro you would expect the service to at least work, now I will be forced to wait around 7-10 days for support team to respond.

Terrible
This really is a bad app.
I tried to transfer LTC from the trading platform to the wallet. The coins have yet to appear in the wallet and it’s been 10 days now.
I contacted Support and got an auto-reply saying it will take up to 7 days for them to reply.
As far as I can tell, the wallet doesn’t support ADA or TRX. I guess this relates to the staking rewards eToro offers on these coins, but I don’t see why that should make a difference.
I don’t mind not having the keys. I think wider adoption of cryptocurrency will see less people wanting this. Keep it simple.
I would like to use Touch ID on my iPhone rather than entering my password every time I open it.
As a UK user, I find it hard to purchase crypto because banks will often block transactions. The eToro wallet is a potential way around this (because eToro sell other assets as well as crypto, purchases aren’t blocked by the banks) as I could use the wallet to move coins to other platforms without going through a bank. But I need to know my coins aren’t going to disappear when I try to transfer them
So far I just don’t have the confidence in this app.

Warning this is not your wallet
The whole idea of a crypto Wallet is you have access to your funds/crypto without any third party intervention, as I tried move is my crypto to another wallet EToro had The power to stop my transaction, if this was at true crypto wallet “your keys your crypto” they would not be able to do this. So it is Fake a Con even dishonest and miss advertising this wallet as a true crypto wallet.

Unable to send BTC to external wallet
I tried 3 times last week to send btc to an external wallet but they all failed. Raised support ticket but didn’t get a reply until yesterday. Was told to try again at a lower amount as the fees must have been higher than they estimated and therefore there were insufficient funds for the transaction, I did this and it failed again. I’m getting increasingly frustrated with his as I cannot access my btc and the customer support response times are slow. If payments out of the wallet can only be processed if they are much lower than the balance then customers will never be able to withdraw the full balance

Just one issue. When will you be able to see the price as £ and not us $. As I’m in the uk and have to use a currency converter after to see what it’s worth in £
