This app is really good and i love all details of this app but there is this one struggle, whenever i try to call someone it wont let them press the tick button and answer. It is really annoying and i get stressy about it so please fix this. But the other side of that, i love this app, i enjoy talking to my friends after school and stuff and its really good. And another thing, you have to pay for the location, just talk tube and more. I think that we should just be able to have it for free, because it would be easier. And also, one of my suggestions is avatars. You should be able to create your own avatar and then you can put it as your profile pic. I think it would be cool! And my last suggestion is more games when you call. When you call you can play games but i just think you should add some more games to make it more fun. Thank you for this amazing app!

This is amazing 🤩

This app is amazing as I have this friend who can’t FaceTime as we have different phones but this allows us to! Neither of us can have WhatsApp but we are allowed this! However, one thing is that when I was putting in my age, I put in 29 December 2012 and it said and I quote “You are not eligible for JustTalk kids try JustTalk instead” like this app is for +4 so I don’t know why it was telling me that. Other than that it’s a great app! And please add more things to do when on video pall like maybe add filters for free so it’s like kids have Snapchat or WhatsApp!

Just a thing for a future update.

Shouldn’t have to pay to add a child/parent

I have just downloaded this app for my seven-year-old daughter and I noticed it to add a parent account. It will charge me nearly £20 a month. I think that’s absolutely disgusting. Obviously if this works as it’s supposed to and allows my daughter to chat to her best friend then that’s fine but I shouldn’t have to pay £20 a month to link my Parent account to her child account. It should be a basic security feature that should be free.

It’s a really convenient texting app. You can text and call other people like your friends or family I think it’s really convenient because if you don’t have WhatsApp or any type of texting app. It’s for kids for 4+ and over it’s basically like WhatsApp but for kids it has parents controls to keep people like me safe from other people you can do pictures videos voice chats/messages calling and other awesome stuff and it’s just for kids it’s really good to have it because if you are on a iPad/iPhone and your not allowed WhatsApp or others you can have this to text on. It’s kid friendly so your kid can have it it’s a great app for kids and really good. I suggest that all kids should have it if they are over 4 years you can have your friends family members and others you could have it’s a free app and great services for it. It’s a great app for young kids. It’s the best texting app for your kids and I suggest to get it there is a adult one for you and just great for kids like me and just really good for kids.

Bugs

So basically me and my friends are chatting normally on this app and it’s doing some things that are really scaring us. So basically it has this “!” When I’m trying to send a voice note, picture and it won’t let us call which is very weird because normally this happens bc of my storage but this time it happened to all of us so pls fix this it’s rlly scary and that this is a reason that really annoys me because only on androids you can screen share and not on iOS and this really annoys me because I don’t want to send screenshots instead so please fix these.

Good but…

Honestly love this app, my friend uses Whatsapp, but i use messages, so we use this app to call. It’s so easy and works perfectly well! The games are so much fun, and the drawing makes it all a better experience! But my issue is that i get logged out my justalk account a lot, it really annoys me, and always tells me my password is wrong, when i know it’s correct and that (etc) if i add a friend and send them a request, and they send me one, it says for each person that their request hasn’t been sent. I really recommend adding a request section for parents only! If i sent my friend a request, she could ask her mum/dad/care (etc) and check the request! Thank you if you read it! Goodbye! 🩷🩷

ITS PERFECT

This app is perfect even if your older and you want to message your kids this is everyone’s perfect chatting app. Including the ‘adding friends’ feature is safe. It has a challenge before getting to it and even after that! To make sure you don’t friend anyone you don’t know you have to write the persons ID (in game when you log/sign in) or user to help friend them! My review will end here but just to let you know…. For older people there is another app made by the same company but it’s called ‘JusTalk’ so there’s an adult version and kids version. Even though it’s 2 separate apps, you can still call,text and FaceTime people that use ‘JusTalk Kids’

It’s great to keep kids safe on line and I love the fact as a parent that you can let your kids be safe online as an example like if you tried to text a random number on just talk kids it wouldn’t let you because you would not be a friend I wish I found just talk kids sooner and it’s way better than messenger I also love that you can take photos on just talk kids or pick them out your camera roll for a profile picture and you can also choose a background for when you text someone it’s pretty similar to the profile picture but you can choose your own from just talk kids and from your camera roll or take a photo my kid loves it and now she can chat with her friends (as long as the ad each other as friends)if your a parent you should really try just talk kids for your child or children.

One small thing

Overall it’s amazing it’s just annoying since when you log into a account you have to re-add them friends and one last thing is for the kids tube you have to pay for a subscription and lots more cool things but I really like this and you should definitely buy it since if your kid wants Snapchat if you go into moments it’s like a kids version of Snapchat! Photos and everything are private to you and your added friends so yea but this game! 10/10!!!

Green ticks

As someone who is the reason of many students in school using Justalk kids I would like to say that this app is amazing and let me and my year six class communicate with eachother outside of school but I would also like to say that I am slightly disappointed by the removal of the ticks turning green when the messages have been seen. The ticks turning green was a way for me to know that my message has been read by the person I am talking it and it lets me know that I haven’t been left on read without knowing. The green ticks also helped me to stop overthinking my messages but now that they have been removed it is hard not to overthink on wether the person I’m talking to has seen my message and is ignoring it or has not seen it. I would really appreciate the green ticks being added back into justalk kids as I believe it is very helpful and can stop overthinking. Thank you.

Need premium for everything

I believe the title pretty much sums up what I am about to say, but I will continue. On this app, you need premium for your children to be able to do a lot of things and basically just have fun on the app, pretty much all your child can do is message and call others. It would let you decorate your screen, app icon, appearance, allow you to use nice stickers and more, but they have given all of that only to those who have premium and I believe if a child has downloaded an app to message and call and also have some fun with others, they need at least one of these features. This is rather similar to WhatsApp and I think of it as a kids version but you don't ever get WhatsApp premium do you? Other than this fact it is a good app but only if all you've come to do is message and call.

It’s okay but…

I got this app because my friend had it and it’s okay but as logging in it was as if I needed to pay for a kid account but I didn’t. So I made an account, well I thought I did. I tried to add my friend on here and it said “missing details in account” I thought it was weird so I checked and it said I didn’t add my parents phone number, I had whilst making the account, I thought nothing of it and put it in I pressed continue and it took me to a page to buy a premium version and wouldn’t let me chat or friend without it so I can’t use it now without paying. I really think you should state you have to pay before getting it.

You can’t see who changed the group’s name

My child got this app to make video calls with friends. Whilst it is safe and has restrictions according to their age, my child has been subjected to online bullying, as the name of the group has been changed with racist and derogatory comments about my child. I wanted to address this with the parents of the child who may have done this, but one of the restrictions on the app is that you can’t see who changes groups’ names. Is this a glitch? Or a reason for it? I reached out to the support team, and here’s a list of the issues:

Took them too long to reply to emails

They said they had to do a thorough investigation on the data changes but can’t tell me the user who changed the name due to internal policies

How to deal with this? Should I ask my child to delete all his contacts? Despite it is only one who made the changes?

Another issue is that a child cannot report this directly, no button to report this, so we have to do so by emailing the support team who takes ages in coming back to you.

Overall, app is ok for kids but safety measures needs further development!

Ok so me and my friend HARRY WERE HAVING FUN UNTILLLLL THE appDecided it was going to hang up on us so we got really mad and then it turns out it blocked himI mean it was rather the app or something else that I can’t think of and then after he unblocked me and I unblocked him we was on a game on call and it was called flappy Santer and it decided it was going to give it two when I got three. Amazing!

Jus Talk Kids is an amazing texting app for kids, in my opinion its really good for texting friends. Your also allowed to call and on call you can doodle, draw on camera and play games. For me personally its very good, i also forgot to mention that you can text internationally and not pay any money to get the app. At first it shows you the option to but premium but you can skip or refresh the app to start chatting with friends.

Great but could use a bit of work

My friend and me host just kids face times on are gc alllllllllll the time and 1 of my other friends joins sometimes and we don’t know is she joins so we can’t say hi to her I love this app because I can talk to my bff who lives in Australia cuz I miss her so much.

I like how the call doesn't end if I use a different app cuz me and my friends play Roblox together on it and we love it

I’m really sad because my parents say that I can’t have the app so I shall have to delete it because it is not “child safe” but I will ask them if I can keep it

the game is great game for children are to young to have Snapchat messages WhatsApp etc and they can still talk without having to pay wich is great for children but if they are to young and try to go on kids tube then they might accidentally pay for something.

I really really really really like really recommend this it’s so good my friend and I always play out together but he doesn’t have a SIM card on his phone so we have to walk all the way to there house to ask and if they can’t they you have walked there for nothing so I think this is great and when you call with it’s really cool that you can play games on call together so yeah THINGS YOU SHOULD ADD ➕. First I think you should add some new games because they are not really fun and I think you should add fun filters so you can go on call and make your friends laugh or take photos to show to them thanks for reading this long review I hope it helps 😃

Just talk kids is amazing and I think having moments just really makes it a lot better I love the way that you can call people on it and also text also we can change the app icon! jusTalk Kids has been amazing for my young daughter. It makes her able to then talk to her her friends during holidays and after school. she is in quite a lot of group chat which makes me happy and you need a password for things that they think kids shouldn’t be able to be on. Amazing! (Updated)

As the app has gone on, although I do admire the amazing features has took a turns in some ways . For example you got to listen to kids videos on there and it’s enjoyable to make arts and crafts with my cousins with the videos on , now that’s premium , just like most of the app. More stickers? Premium . Awesome ringtones instead of the basics ? Premium . Though I do understand the app needs to get some kind of profit , it could’ve just left a few more bits and bobs free . Really amazing just some minor problem

I love this app it is fun and inclusive but when I added my friend it wouldn’t let me message or ring her cause I apparently didn’t add her therefore I deleted it but then my friends recommended it even more so I got it and now I can socialise with my friends more than usually do in a more private manner but again a really good app and I hope you read my report and feel satisfied about my response and fix my minor problems with this brilliant app so viewers can get a more enjoyable experience and that hopefully when they come to right this report they have no problems or mistakes Thanks again for reading my letter

Great App

Customer service was very helpful when contacted and resolved an issue straight away. Love that this app can be used without a phone number. Unrelated safety issue is that if a child adds somebody who they don’t properly know to a group chat (they only know the new person from online / gaming etc), that person has access to chat with other friends on the group. My child has removed himself from groups where he doesn’t know everybody properly and started groups of his own. As the group manager, you are able to restrict who can join the group chat (in the group settings).

Apsolutely awesome but...

Just talk kids is amazingly the family friendly ,however,if u haven’t got any friends on it it I imagine could get quite boring although there is kids tube which is quite fascinating to be honest. You can call your friends ,FaceTime and message! If a stranger friends you and you don’t accept it and they start messaging you it will sense the message out or if it’s something inappropriate it will also sense it out .

Amazing

I know I’m only young and I have an iPhone but this is the only app I use to text my friends that are not close enough to see every few day. I have a friend in Nottingham and she’s always been able to keep in touch, have a laugh and text for hours. This app always has amazing graphics and never glitches or has any problems whatsoever. Even if your worried about things you kids can do or see on this app, which is basically nothing, you can set and parents only password that only you can get into. If your child forgets their passcode for their account you can put your phone number in advance so that you always know what it is. You can add whoever you want whenever you want. This app is absolutely beautiful and I am very happy to share this with anyone who wants to use this app. Thank you for this wonderful app.

This review is coming from an 11 year old girl. I think this app is a great app for kids to chat on! It’s really cool as it has moments which is just like an instagram story or a WhatsApp status! Only your friends can see your moments btw. You can make group chats and add all your friends. Not only that but you can voice text! This app is great for kids who aren’t allowed WhatsApp yet. The only thing is it can sometimes be tricky adding people but overall this is a good app for children to talk on. I definitely recommend! Thank you for reading my review! 🤍

Glitchy and expensive

The game is overall great accept for a few things the first one is that it glitches A LOT let me give you an example like one time i went on the app to text my friends and all of a sudden it was saying on my iPad that i did not have any friends and i should make friends on the app and it was scary thinking that i would loose so many of my friends another “annoying thing” is that i deleted something that I commented on moments and it was STILL THERE everyone could still see my comment and the CRAZY thing was that I COULDN’T SEE THE COMMENT BUT MY FRIENDS COULD !!! CAN U SEE WHY IM KIND OF IRRITATED the app is good and it has good security , but doesn’t make it good . The second one is why do you have to pay FOR ALL THE FUN THINGS like kids-tube used to be free but now u need to pay for the premium and even when u could still watch MOST pf the videos on kids-tube still you had to be premium to watch CERTAIN VIDEOS !! THAT IS CRAZY . I am still giving it a 2 stars even though you need to PAY for the better experience on the app . To be honest you guys should get 1 star for all the hassle I've had with the app. I think that’s all PLEASE try and improve the app even if u just make a few more thing free OR EVEN JUST CHEAPER and maybe update it and there will be less glitching .That is all for now . I won’t tell any lies, this isn’t the best app my child has had. Sure it lets you message and call without a SIM, but you do need to be aware that a lot of the features are blocked without the subscription.

If you don’t have the JusTalk Kids Premium, the app will try to trick you into buying it. You need the subscription to add a parent’s phone number; this is how it works.

There will be a constant red dot on your profile picture, making you want to see what it means.

It will then say something is wrong in settings, after you have tapped on your profile picture.

It will then show a dot next to parent phone number.

You then enter the parent phone number, but when you tap OK, the subscription screen shows up. It’s trying to trick you to pay!

The app works fine without it, anyway. To be honest, all your child needs this for is texting and calling, and nothing else much. If you need to see what your child has been saying, just simply go onto their device and look through it that way.

(P.S: Developers, please fix this scam with the parent phone number 🥺)

It’s the best

Because you can talk with your friends, even if even if you’re if you’re not in that same school in with them or you could also like talk to them if they don’t even have any WhatsApp or anything and then won’t let them have WhatsApp. You can like chat with them if you doodling you gonna do you like drawing. you can play games it’s so cool I just downloaded it a couple of days ago and then I got my friends number and I made a group chat with them so I give this a 10 out of 10

Now I’m not the type of person to write a review but I am very new to this app and have only added one friend but so far it has been amazing u get to change ur profile pic and much more and when u have added a friend I have to wait for them to add u then u can start chatting !! You can even FaceTime them !! I live this game especially as there are no strangers and u can add family iswell there are even games u can play !!! I love it definitely 4.2/5 but I could only do 4 the one thing I don’t like about this is that u have to sign up and pay for

Ok.

I love this 100% recommend but the problem is that it’s not really ‘private’ from experience, someone can add you, without you adding them, put you in a group and message you. Even without putting you in a group they can still message you. And my 7 year old neice once snuck through my private messages on my phone without me knowing. Maybe a feature that you can turn on and off and once off, no messages will be sent to the user and is secured with a password, so no sneaking neices can look through your messages!🤣And when on, messages will be sent. I guess it’s ok. I don’t think I will be using this for much longer, my friends are encouraging me just to stop using the app if I’m not satisfied. My friends are also having the same problemo although it’s a great way to get to kid family members🥰Thank you for your time.

Good app

Overall it is a good app however I think there is much too features where the parent has to solve a sum/enter the password. It is a bit like WhatsApp/Snapchat only a bit less advanced. You can still make group chats and call/video. Another problem is that both people need to know each other’s userIDs. As the app is designed for young children, they might not be able to remember each other’s IDs. This means that children cannot friend random people however it would have been better to send requests and the parent would have to enter a pin to accept the request.

Anyway those are the problems I have found so far, however overall it is a very good app and I recommend getting it if you don’t want your child to have WhatsApp, Snapchat, ect.

Fun

I’ve been on justalk kids with my friends and it’s really fun even when you call people you can play. I highly recommend this app it’s much safer than other calling apps because if you want to add someone it tells you a times table question which is safe. And all you have to do is go to a adult you know and let them do the question and let them see who are you adding . I think this is such a good calling app because all calling apps are for grownups but this is very nice and safe for kids. (:

Good things and bad things about this app

The only thing bad about this app is that they are too many things you would have to pay for so what I thought was you could possibly change some stuff from having to pay for to having it for free . The good stuff is that you can doodle on the phone but bad is they are no instructions of where things are for example my daughter didn’t know where you could share pictures so she figured it out by getting asking her friend .

Just talk kids

When I got this game I was so happy. This is the best game of my life and I love this game so much. I will keep playing and it is free. It’s just so amazing I love just talk kids I would recommend it for your kid because you can you can block and you can choose their friends and you and you have to go on it with them. It’s a very fun game. I talk to my friends all the time when I asked my mum to get it she said no you’re your friend has to be on it, and then my friend got it so I was so so excited. good but

So i’m friends with a kid whose dad lives on my street, we’ll call him O. O stays at his dads house for a day or 2 before going back to his mums. He also has a kindle that has restricted apps or not facetime or messages so we can only chat like they did in the olden days, I had a look on his kindle for some apps that we could both get and use. I came across this one and downloaded it on his kindle and my ipad, suprise! It worked!!! I’m so happy i can call and message him on my ipsd and phone too!!!!! Although, I find it annoying that some things are premium but i get it, it stills bugs me though that you can only watch about 2 videos if your lucky and only have 2 themes- one of which is boring (no offence). Overall I’m happy and impressed i can talk to him from far away!

Great but…

Great but I think it could be better as the premium stuff costs money and I think that maybe when you play games when you are on a call you could get ‘coins’ if you were to win. This would be great and then you could unlock the premium things with those coins. That would also be something fun for kids to do. I’m in year 5 so this would be fun for people even as old as me. With this feature I would rate 5 stars because everything on the app is AMAZING!! Thanks for reading.

It’s alright but one problem

Hello there I have loved my experience with just talk kids it was a good way of socialising safely I started using the app because my sister (with no SIM card) was using it because the app itself doesn’t need one I loved it very much I was able to connect with friends that didn’t have a SIM so I loved it for that also I have been using this app for a few months now and to the parents I highly recommend it because you can add parental control passwords and even a password for adding certain people which I think is a good way for your children to start socialising safely. One glitch was that eg when your in a group chat I get notifications of certain messages but when I go on the group I can’t see the messages it is a annoying glitch I would love it if the developers tried to fix it because I keep getting notifications of messages from certain people and when I open the group itself I can’t see them I can only see certain messages. In conclusion I think it’s a good app just want the glitch to be fixed I understand that not many people experience the glitch but some people may do so I would love it if it was fixed overall it’s a good app I highly recommend thanks for taking your time to read this long paragraph lol.

BEST APP EVERRR

ok this app is totally the best I’ve had it since year 5 now and it’s very good I love everything about this app and I was in year 6 when I found about moments existed 😭. But this app it’s totally the best but here comes the trouble I’ve had this app for a very long time now and the glitches are starting to come sometimes it’s either me or my friend can’t text or sometimes it then logging me out my account (I’m very lucky for knowing my passwords) and I think they should really not make u go add someone when they already added you they should show a friend request because half of my friends get logged out sadly which is discounting but on the other side this app is so brilliant I’d give it 10 stars !

Love the game but too many premium stuff…..

JusTalk is an AMAZING app I use it allll the time to chat with all my friends and family. But there is just the slightest problem. There are quite a lot of premium things, but don’t let that stop u from playing, and I think there is no reason not to play it. Note to game creators: There are a lot of premium things that I think shouldn't be premium. There’s just too much. Maybe even just change like the ringtones and themes and messages that’s all and if u can change some other stuff tooo. Ty

Great but it could use something else…

This app is amazing! I love talking to my cousins who live far away and I think that it is a wonderful app to use. Although, everything costs money so you can not experience the app to its full ability.

I understand that this is for children but I think there should be an option to remove the “parents only” times table verification. I’m 12+ so I don’t need a parent verification. I know what your thinking, “use the adults version for Just Talk” but my contacts are not old enough for the older app meaning I’m stuck with the kids version. For the people like me who don’t want to do 8x4 or 9x6 basically every time I click a button I suggest that we could add a setting to remove the parent verification and parent password, that would be nice to have an option to remove it! So this has been like the best app I’ve ever seen I’ve been reading some reviews and some of them have been complaining I will suggest you to stop because this is for kids if they have to much freedom they might get out of control so plz stop hating on this app because it really helped all of my firends and me i know there are some glitches but can you really blame? Most of the apps have glitches or bugs the creator have been trying there best to fix all these but you still complain! JusTalk kids is amazing

JusTalk kids is an amazing app. You can call people, message people, doodle on the screen, and play games whilst calling. There is also the option to have group talks, and you can go out of the app and keep calling. I am glad you can do that last one, because i use it to call my friend while we play Roblox. This is just like house party, but better. Why not go and check out JusTalk for everyone while you’re at it? There is no ads whatsoever, and buying the crown 👑 thingy is worth it. So if you’re considering getting it, GET IT!!!

BEST TEXTING APP

Me and my friends are all 9 and we have WhatsApp, but we feel the audio quality isn’t that good, so I and my 4 year old brother did some research and found this !!!! So we downloaded it straight away!!! My first friend got it on the same day as us !!! Better than all the other texting apps like stars !!! I also have lots of fun playing games with them , especially now in Covid 19 !!! I RECOMMEND THIS APP TO EVERYONE!!! My brother has got this on my mum phone !!! I love this app !!! The features don’t work

So annoyed with paying for this app and not once has my daughter been able to use ANY of the games with her friends on the call, this was the whole reason we purchased this rather than use our current free video calling apps which work much better than this. Also after about ten minutes on the call, the screen goes upside down and starts flashing so you have to hang up the call and ring again. Amazing

I love this app so much or at least my daughter does, she was very sad when her best friend left to go to Australia on the other side of the country, she was much to young to have messenger so I looked through a lot of kid messengers tried a few of them out but still found nothing until the next day I was talking to my friend and she told me about this amazing app called JusTalk kids, she told me it was a messenger app for kids and anyone all over the country could chat to other people. I immediately got the app and it was totally free I told my daughter about it and got it touch with her friends mum to get them to get it to so now my daughter can stay in touch with any of her friends, unfortunately there is one things wrong you can only message or receive messages when you have WiFi but over all this app is amazing and I would definitely recommend it

Good app but needs a lot of work

I downloaded this app so my daughter can talk and chat safety with her cousins in another country. However, while the concept is good it needs a lot of work. For eg. if I add a friend and send her message or call her, she won’t receive any notification or messages unless she adds me first as her friend. Once she adds me, there’s no way to receive the previously sent messages. Second bug is that if I sign in with the same account on another phone, there’s no sync at all. Even the name and pic has to be set again and all the chats are gone. There’s also no way to know which you groups you’re part of unless someone sends a message in the group.

I really like the app and I hope the developers fix all these bugs and glitches.

Absolutely amazing

I am 10 and my best friend is 11. Last year we were in primary school together. This year she is in high school and I am still in primary school. We couldn’t text each other because I have an iPod touch and she has a Samsung phone. This app helped us a lot because it allows all sorts of devices to get the app.

It is a fun app which is safe for kids and it is way better than the messages app that comes with Samsung phones and iPhones.

It is fun to go on. I especially love the features during calls. You can show pictures and even play a game.

I recommend this app to anyone under the age of 13.
