We are an Irish couple (Jane and Brian) living in Spain and learning Spanish. We started Ella Verbs as we were looking for a way to improve our Spanish verbs and make the jump from intermediate to advanced Spanish speakers. We tried many ways to improve our Spanish grammar (books, apps, tutors – you name it, we tried it!), but never found the one that clicked. So we built it!
We aren’t your typical Spanish flashcards or verb trainer app. Our philosophy is “learn, quiz, repeat”. We teach you, then quiz you and then surface content again when you need it most. It’s been proven that quizzing helps with concentration, identifying gaps in knowledge and long term retention (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006). You’ll enjoy our Smart Quizzes to drill verbs into your memory!
Because we're a small team, we personally read and respond to every feedback email and review. So if you have an idea, issue, question or whatever, please get in touch! This version includes the following based on your feedback:
* Synonyms! We now allow multiple answers for verb translation quizzes and show them in the verb dictionary. If you notice any missing or incorrect, please let us know.
* Improved how pronouns are selected and presented during quizzes so there is less repetition.
* Added a couple of new verbs.
* Fixed some annoying bugs including the one causing the review request screen to show multiple times on tablets, sorry!

Great app for learning Spanish verbs
I’m using it to revise for a Spanish exam and it really helps. 95% is a high pass mark to move onto the next level but it forces you to be almost perfect.

A great little app!
I’m using this app in conjunction with a few others to learn the language, and this is great at doing exactly what it claims; to help get your head around those verb conjunctions.
I feel myself getting a better grasp on them using this app as opposed to others that may only touch upon conjugations briefly.
I’m enjoying getting started and I plan to upgrade to pro once I’ve conquered the first few levels!

Fantastic Spanish learning tool!
This app is great if you want to help yourself commit those vital conjugations to memory. It’s a fun, simple and effective tool to improve your Spanish fluency. All the important tenses and verbs are there. The app developers have been great at responding to feedback and giving support, too.
