Nearly a year now since the 1.5 update that left the game a buggy, unplayable mess and still no sign of anything being done to fix it.
Game is unplayable in its current form as community centre cannot be completed. Shame there’s no way to roll back to previous version because that at least worked even if it didn’t have all the features of the PC version.
When will this be fixed?

I have played stardew valley multiple times and finished it on pc but experiencing it on my ipad was difficult but entertaining at the same time as it took a few in game days to get used to controls without having a keyboard and a mouse. Additionally the price of it personally feels like a bargain and basically free. Only feedback would be keyboard compatibility for devices like ipads so it can feel more like a pc game while being a mobile game as in nowadays most people use ipads as their mini laptop instead of buying a laptop/pc etc. as well as maybe adding the multiplayer section of it too as well.

Game is a 5*, but this app keeps crashing. The freezing issue with adding items to bulletin board bundle is still happening, and now the game keeps crashing every time I sleep, stuck in a cycle unable to push forward to next day. Game needs some TLC for the bugs, especially as this isn’t a free game.

I can’t really justify a 3 star review for a lack of functionality, by itself, the game is a 5 star game, no one needs to use reviews to determine this game is amazing.
However that being said one of the best parts of this game is the experience of playing with a loved one as you can on PC, this is deeply missing from this version.
Also a note for the developer, on the iPhone 15 pro max when using a controller (on this occasion, Xbox One series X controller), you cannot click “New” at the start with the controller, you have to use your finger to press it on the screen or it crashes out, tested on two 15’s.

I play on iPhone 12 with a backbone controller and the game keeps crashing for some strange reason. I’ve read online and looked at some of the App Store reviews, and unfortunately it seems to be a common problem for many customers. The issue needs addressing as people have paid for a working game. The game and its content it’s self is amazing and well put together, it’s just the crashing bug that is a significant issue.

It’s a good game it just unfortunately has to many bugs where you can’t buy items because the arrow is missing and you can cut down trees or get rid of stones it becomes really frustrating and I end up not playing as I can’t be bothered to keep trying. Fix the bugs and more people would play.

I love playing stardew valley, it is a overall fun game. Just recently I was given a notification (in game) when I was loading my saved game. Impressed the green tick (without reading) to load my world, but for some reason it deleted my 40+ hour world. I’ve been trying desperately to get it back but I cannot. Please can someone help me, I would love to play my world once again.

This game is so fun and relaxing! I love playing it after a long day and I get to relax and have fun. It’s so worth the money, but I’ve come across one issue. Whenever I try to go to someone’s shop, it doesn’t work? I press but I’m left just standing and it doesn’t show me the shop. This has happened everywhere except Pierre’s for me. It’s causing problems as I can’t buy from the Stardrop Saloon OR Robin’s shop, which isn’t good as I can’t upgrade my house or make new buildings. I hope you read this so you can fix it!

- sometimes can’t save file so I am reset

I love this game but it’s currently not fully playable since the latest updates. I can’t buy animals at all - the counter menu for livestock just won’t open. Also there doesn’t seem to be any iron in the mine at all - I’ve gotten to level 45 and still no iron. This makes it impossible to craft most things.

I am a Stardew lover, I play on several consoles & mobile! The game itself is amazing and probably one of my favourite games of all time. However I do think the mobile version needs a little tweaking. I’ve seen other players talk about clicking on items but not being able to interact with them when clicked, I’ve had that same problem. Not the end of the world but can be a little annoying. And I had the strangest glitch in the community centre where I donated an item to a bundle and after donating I couldn’t move and time was frozen. I had to close the game which meant I lost progress. The problem seems to be fixed now so hopefully it doesn’t happen again! But the game is 5/5 stars for me, stardew has a special place in my heart 💚 and I cannot wait for haunted chocolatier 🍫

Stardew valley is an amazing game, its cute, has a sense of adventure, allows creativity and has very special characters. Now, I play on mobile and although it’s a good gaming experience, I think that more emotes or general options would make it even better. For example, on mobile you only have the option to run, instead of walk. Also, it’s great you have the option to sit on chairs but I think it would be better if we could do more with the surrounding objects. E.g Penny usually sits under trees outside, it would be a great addition to be able to do that also.
Another example- being able to sit and read in the library/museum.

I never spend real money purchasing apps, but for just £5 it’s a bargain. Absolutely perfect port from PC to mobile.
A few small bugs such as randomly crashing when exiting menus or crafting away from the workbench, and the game character randomly freezing if u change items in hand during an animation - a swing of any sword seems to fix the freeze though.

This is a great game and I play it all the time since I got it and it is really fun, I have it on Nintendo, Laptop and mobile but recently I have been experiencing bugs every time I refresh the game on mobile like for example: I am foraging for salmonberries in salmon berry season and so I pick ever salmon berry I find And Then I go up to the mountains and it won’t let me pick salmon berries there, or I decided to get animals for the coop I just bought so I go to Marnie’s Ranch and it wont let me buy anything there, if you could fix it that would be awesome also I have suggestions for new updates, my first suggestion is that there could be a new community center bundle that you have to collect seasonal or special items that you can only get on a specific time like strawberries or salmonberries and then you can permanently open the flower dance area and it could be like an area that you can get seasonal crops or seasonal foragables and also a shop there that you can buy special crops or foragables or even artifacts like ancient seeds, it would be so much better if you could add that because It takes me forever to find seasonal and special items and artifacts, it would be easier to get in the sewers too which I have not unlocked yet

i love this game! i downloaded it on my ipad so that i could play it more conveniently if i didn’t have access to my computer and it’s awesome. something i’ve noticed though is that for some reason, there are random things that i can’t interact with occasionally. it goes away eventually but it means i can’t interact with shops and buy things sometimes, water my plants, chop down trees or destroy rocks. it’s not a huge deal but it’s frequent enough to be irritating. other than that, wonderful game!

I’ve come across bugs where the screen goes black and all you can see is your energy bar and an item in your inventory. Also, something minor. Sometimes when you fish the sound of reeling loops and doesn’t stop even after going to sleep.
The game is super fun with interesting characters and fun, relaxing gameplay. I would definitely recommend playing this game if you enjoy Minecraft and animal crossing.

Love the game, think this is an amazing port for mobile with brilliant controls that actually seem easier than using a controller.
One note for developers, sometimes when fishing the sound of the reel gets stuck in a loop and only stops upon completely closing the app. Not the end of the world but a pain if it starts at the beginning of a day…

I do not know what exactly happened. All of a sudden when I fused a set of ring and equipped it, the damage of my galaxy sword almost halved (dropped roughly from 120 to 60-70). I have googled it and found there were some other players experienced this similar issue!!!! I have been having so much fun from last month playing your product, however with this glitch I cannot really proceed anymore, please help me.

My all time favourite game and have been playing for 3 years now but have noticed a few bugs creeping in. Intermittent freezes in places and currently the marker in Robin’s shop is not opening the build dialogue very well. I’ve also had the game completely freeze at the end of the farm day and lost everything I made in that day as a restart was the only option.

I’ve loved Stardew for years but the new update is a bit broken - the screen often goes black except for one inventory slot in the top left corner, and you can’t escape without resetting your day, which gets REALLY frustrating. Also it’s often not responsive to touching the screen to interact with an object (eg the counter at shops, picking up crops or eggs, chopping a tree or pickaxing an object to pick it up).

Huge fan of SDV! My pc became obselete and I haven’t had a chance to fix it, so i had to get the mobile version and I’ll never regret it. Especially having it for a flight makes travelling a breeze.
Only issues I’ve come against with the mobile version is my sound doesn’t work unless I have headphones plugged in.
It can also be a little fiddly with tapping and movement, the egg hunt went terribly, so I change my settings as needed - the joystick setting is a good addition.

The game is great but there is a glitch with the fishing rod. When you cast your fishing line, if you go into the fishing puzzle animation then after it ends the fishing line reeling the fish in sound doesn’t stop. Please fix this as the only way I know how to fix it is restarting the app. Also, I find lots of the golden walnuts on ginger island are very hard to find. Like who will find half of these? I finally used my 20 walnuts to fix the sleep hut but then I need another 20! I watched a tutorial. I had 35 golden walnuts and they had 93 golden walnuts! Half of them are luck dependent! And I have terrible luck. I spent hours to get here and I was met with a slight bit of disappointment. Apart from that, the game is good. Also, I’d like to know what sword would be best for level 80 and above in the normal mines? Thanks for reading this.

Developers please read - When playing on an iPhone with a camera “notch” it’s not helpful at all - the notch that is - please can you add an option to adjust the screen somehow to put the play area outside the notch area- hope that makes sense - update - for anyone else having the visual issue - the options are already present in the options menu under “padding” - thanks developers- updated rating already :)

Amazing game and i'm very excited to explore the new update! However, there seems to be some sizing issues since the new update. I play on iPad and previously to the update, the sizing of the game was great. But after the update everything except the main screen of the game is really small. (Health/energy bar, any speech including using the TV, and the inventory/menu space is also really small and it's hard to read numbers) i've tried adjusting settings and I can't find a way to fix this.

Since updating the game, I can no longer listen to my music whilst playing Stardew Valley. Whenever I hit play music and continue playing Stardew Valley, the game immediately crashes and I lose in-game progress. Please fix this bug. Speaking on behalf of others who also experience the same problem. Thanks in advance! [Edited: New Update won’t allow me to craft ANY item unless I am standing beside a workbench. Massive bug as gameplay is greatly impacted by this issue ⚠️. Please fix! 🙏 Also, in-game items are disappearing when I place stuff into chests! Already lost a bunch of stuff because of this! :( Can’t complete the 24-egg quest for Gus. Tried putting eggs into Gus’s fridge to complete the quest. But the user interface is frozen so I can’t move or click anything other than the exit-menu button. Other than that, this is game is amazing. Love it so much ❤️]

Love this game, totally wonderful to play. Totally worth the money. However, I would have given 5 stars (and will amend once fixed) if the latest update hadn’t introduced some issues.
1. Collection devices in barn and coop now have an issue that the last one or two items disappear when moving items into your inventory. Also the items seem to be listed horizontally instead of how they used to be listed, used to be like boxes or inventory.
2. Opening boxes or inventory on iPad Pro is now far too small, and text is now much smaller throughout the game, making it even harder to read the narrative.
3. Item list on left hand side doesn’t scroll correctly now, causing me to die several times in the mines as I was unable to scroll to the top to get my sword.
Please add an option to change text size. You have it for the numbers…
Other than that thoroughly enjoy this wonderful game.
Saved game vanished on iPad version

We bought Stardew Valley for the iPad last week. My 10 year old is devastated her saved game has just vanished! She saved it and when she loaded it a few minutes later to show me something there was no saved game. We looked in ‘files’ and there wasn’t even a folder/file for Stardew Valley. We have the game on family sharing so followed instructions last night to copy a version from my husbands iPad but it’s his farm and not hers so she’s lost everything. Is there any chance this could just be hidden somewhere? Or any way of recovering her farm please? I’ve message support twice and had no response so far! Such a shame because the game itself is fantastic!

I love this game so much but have found a few minor issues. Sometimes the audio cuts out randomly, but more noticeably after a phone call has come through.
Also sometimes the game glitches and shuts itself down, meaning whatever progress I made that day didn’t save. This happened just after I’d harvested and planted a field of 500 crops - not ideal!!
Also please can you integrate cloud saving - I want to transfer it to a new phone but can’t because there’s no way to save!! Thank you

Lovely game, well optimised for mobile. However, there has been an update given to PC players nearly a year ago. It’s the 1.5 update, including coop and much more gameplay. I feel like coop play would make this five stars, I would love to play with my friends and family members. I understand that the developer is a single person, but I don’t know why mobile devices have taken longer than other devices. It’s a very relaxing game, and it IS cheaper than on other devices (which is why I bought it here) but the free update would be quite nice.

This is a fantastic game! I have spent so much time just chilling out on it because it’s so relaxing to play, but I’m begging for it to be updated because the other platforms are getting updates but not iOS it seems.
Also my other issue with the game is how difficult fishing is on the mobile version. It is not made to be as hard on the other versions of the game so why is fishing so difficult? It is harder to progress when you can’t make money from fishing or complete the quests.
But other than that it is such an incredible game and I definitely recommend.

Have been playing on my iPad for a fair while now and desperately waiting for it to update to the 1.5 version of the game. Also gave it on PC and Switch. There's absolutely nothing negative I can say about it. It's very charming and has quirky characters who you learn a lot about if you take note of what they say. You can play the game however you wish - go out to complete all the quests and secret bundles to make as much money as you can as quickly as possible or you can just stroll around making your farm whatever you want it to be. Superb game, I'd give it more stars if I could.

Stardew Valley has been amazing gameplay wise. I love the characters, story line, custom GUI’s and the general feeling the game provides the user experience; however, primary playing as a PC player, the IOS addition changes the Default GUI scales, rotation and much more including inventory sorting. The game GUI wise has been revamped understandable so for smaller iPhone players. I truly believe that the developers of Stardew Valley should create the game exactly the same as the switch for iPad players. I also experienced a ton of bugs using a PS4 DualShock controller. From not being able to click certain buttons in different inventories, stack items or individual take one from a certain item stack. I truly believe that the IOS version of Stardew Valley has the potential to provide users with the best possible experience without ruining the game with its adjusted additions. Please bring back the OG SDV. Many thanks!

I’m not sure if other players have the same problem but I find fishing too difficult because after I caught my first fish I couldn’t catch anymore.
I think a way to make fishing easier is if you don’t have to keep the bar behind the fish since it is way too hard to control maybe you could replace it with trying to keep the bar in a green area in the middle which is not to small because then there’s the same issue and then on the ends have red and then there is line inside which have to stop from touching the red but the line shouldn’t be uncontrollable for the average player.

I have never, ever had such a wonderful experience with a game before. Never. Just the most charming, enthralling experience. Beautifully designed and the level of detail is just mind blowing. From what I can see it’s pretty much exactly the same as the PC version just optimised for mobile. This is what mobile gaming can and should be about. To think I thought twice about paying £7.99 for this. I’d happily pay 4x that amount when you look at the rubbish recycled games that are released for £50-£60 these days.
To ConcernedApe and anybody who has helped you with this inspired gem of a game, all I can say is thank you so much.

I LOVE Stardew Valley on PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and last but not least iOS but there’s a few glitches on iOS that you could maybe fix I don’t know but it would be good if you could so the first one is sometimes when I save and quit and go back on my farm Marnie is stood there with another cat for me to adopt when I already have one and then I have two! Number two where ever I tap my character goes the wrong way and just runs away I must admit it is hilarious watching you character do this but it would be nice if you fix this. They are the only fixes I know about but I would REALLY like if you could pls add MULTIPLAYER. Me and my friend really want to play multiplayer and we can’t so for future updates pls can you add it in other than all that STARDEW VALLEY IS THE BEST GAME EVERRRR!!!!

Don’t get me wrong this game is fantastic and I just can’t get enough of this game the only issues I’m having from this game, is that it constantly freezes and crashes after two or three days in game and I’ve noticed a lot of bugs too inside my house where the floor is all white/grey colour but the original floor I had was a brown colour, not only that the chairs change colour whenever I press on them which shouldn’t happen please can you fix this it would make the game a lot fun to play instead of constantly crashing... overall an amazing game.

This game is so free spirited and allows such freedom so you can choose how your life as a farmer unfolds. I would recommend this game to anyone 🤩 It is very fun and calming and the music is amazing. The pixel art is amazing 😉 and interesting. And raising animals is so fun. I think that the calico dessert and the mines add so much adventure to this game. This game has so many hidden possibilities and wonderful cutscenes. This game is DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY. If you are reading this now you MUST get stardew valley, trust me you won’t regret it. 😃

I’ve been playing this game non stop the past 2 days and I’m absolutely loving it. The problem is I want to be able to NOT stop playing because I’m enjoying it not because of the constant crashes occurring each time there is a change in scene eg leaving my farm to town, waking up, selling things etc. This has happened a few times where my game will be playing and then crash and go back to my iPhone lock screen but since today’s update (23-March) there has been 5 crashes in the past 10 minutes please fix this bc I don’t know how I’m going to get through quarantine without this game as I’ve already grown so attached to it!!!

For those who are new to the Stardew Valley world, this game was created and is updated by one person with support only to publish onto other platforms which is a huge achievement for such an incredible game.
Stardew valley takes you on an enormous journey from living off the land as a farmer, fisher, explorer and an artisan crazed business man. You’ll find yourself being captivated by the characters in the story from romance cut scenes to the quest line and seasonal events which will make you want more. The games settings are defaulted to a tap and go so if you find yourself more adapted to a joystick then look into the settings like I did to change this. If you’re looking for a game for any device be it on your phone, console or computer. This is a definite must to add to your gaming experience.

First of all this game is worth the money it’s immersive and is incredibly relaxing however there is so much more that could be added to this excellent game.
More animals, interactions places to explore things to harvest, just a few extra variations in general so it doesn’t become overly repetitive (I think I read one review that mentioned festival variations per year) Also multiplayer would be awesome!!!
It’s the little extras and updates to content in the game that will keep players hooked and happy.

Stardew Valley is, simply put, sensational. It’s one of the sweetest, calming, and intricate games you will play. It’s almost therapeutic air and it’s brilliant little entertaining Easter eggs will have you back to the valley every day, and it’s much, much more thoughtful, detailed and complex than a simple rpg or farming sim. Seriously. The detail is mind-blowing. There’s just.. more.. to this game, an awareness to the world we live in that could totally be deeply explored by the player if they wished, but also serves as a wonderful and calming escape for those looking to simply plant a few crops and raise some chickens. You explore and grow at your own pace, play in your own way, in a way I’ve never quite experienced in anything else I’ve played. I could genuinely write a whole essay on this game, but I’ll keep it short and sweet:
Download it, and you won’t regret it.

Wanna know my favourite games? Ok: Arcade game: this. Farm game: this. I love stardew valley, and ConcernedApe doesn’t stop. Every update is gets better. The full experience of the game is on PC, but on mobile it’s nice to take it with you on the go, or if your in bed or something. It’s pretty calming, and really nice to play. ConcernedApe is my favourite developer, and his idea became reality and grew like a plant in the wrong season. Well done to the amazing creator of the game; I hope he carries on creating updates for this game, and making everyone’s lives much better.

I would like to start off saying that this is a great game. It’s more than worth the money. It’s just a nice experience to plant and tend to your crops and see the villagers. Even doing the same daily chores of watering your crops or collecting items from your animals becomes fun. I love it to bits and consider it one of the best games I’ve ever played. The reason this is a four star review is because of a strange bug I’ve picked up on. I have screen time on my iPad to remind of when to go to sleep. But on holidays I often go over the limit, meaning I have to press ‘Ignore’. As soon as this happens, the game crashes and will repeatedly crash every time I try to get on to it. I’m not really annoyed about it but I wanted to let the developers know. Keep improving this game!

I never normally write reviews on games, nor do I pay out for them, but I recently purchased this game and I absolutely love it and I definitely spend way too much time on it!
I find it really easy to progress without feeling bored. The game has been optimised so well for iOS! My only complaint is that fishing is near enough impossible, and I’m not the only one who has this issue. This makes it extremely hard to complete the ‘fish tank’ quest in the community centre, which obviously requires you to obtain fish. I’m sure you could do it by purchasing fish from various shops and stalls or by having them gifted to you by NPCs but that’s not the point and obviously takes much longer. If the developers could work on making the fishing more iPhone-friendly, this game would easily get 5 stars from me!

Definitely recommend this game, it’s refreshing to see a game that isn’t after even more of your money. One glitch I’d like to report is that when entering the library to donate artifacts, sometimes the game slows and lags and if you press donate to museum, the game crashes. This is super annoying since you can only save at the end of a day so if it happens midday, that day’s progress is gone! Please fix this 😊
Edit: just experienced this glitch going into the adventurer’s club too. I’d just done 5 levels in the mine so that was kinda annoying.

I could not possibly recommend this game more, I have played it multiple times on the pc getting to year 114 on one of the saves but have always found needing a pc or laptop to play it annoying as I often want to play out of the house the mobile version is the makes this incredibly easy. For the price this game is 100% worth it and I wouldn’t hesitate to pay more. The developer spends so much of his time fixing small bugs and glitches in the game when there even are any and I can’t thank him enough for how quickly he resolved a small save glitch I had and creating a phenomenal game

No prevarication - this is a marvellous game. You will invest hours, days and weeks into building your farming empire, totally immersed in your new digital world. However, that’s immersion will come to a crashing halt, perhaps after a few days, or maybe several hundred hours in, when you experience an inevitable in game crash with the horrifying side affect of corrupting your precious game save, sending you right back to day 1 on a new save.
You will try again, a bit later, with a new farm, but your farming spirit will be crushed, for you know that all your work will be for nowt sooner or later, like a devastating digital natural disaster.

I had a blast playing this. I found myself really getting into it from the start. The farming, the mining, the fishing and the friend making all made this game an absolute joy to play. It’s very original, so hats off to the developers for creating a game that makes the life of a farmer so much fun. My only real complaint would be to make the monthly festivals be a little different the following year, as oppose to everyone saying exactly the same thing, and everything playing out exactly the same as the year before. That’s a very minor complaint though. It might seem like quite a bit of money to be splashing out on a game, but it really is worth it. I’ve stopped playing after the second year, because I felt I had finished everything I set out to do- all of the bundles, and getting married at least once. That was roughly 50 hours of game play!!

Random things have happened which I’m unsure as to whether they are part of the game or not...built a box and next morning it’s gone...it’s enjoyable and engaging to play though..a good community forum and bugs seem to be getting addressed very quickly...if someone could just respond either here or in forum about my missing box??
update...2 days later...still haven’t found that box so made another which has, so far, stayed on my plot. I am loving this game, a lot. I had my chicken coop built yesterday and this morning woke up wondering if I'll find some eggs ..lol.
This game is massive ...lots to explore and engaging and...if I ever master fishing, my little world will be complete.
Worth every penny and 10/10 to the developer...it’s top and so I’ve have added that final star to my previous review...would give it more if I could.

Love the game. I usually dislike farming games as I find them such a slow paced and dull game. This game proved me wrong. The game has some serious bugs recently but the developers are very responsive and quickly fixed them so thank for that. I hope a wonderful game like this doesn’t get one star for some recent bugs. So keep up the good work and hope the game players can sympathise with the developers more. They clearly are working hard on this. Don’t give up on them.

One of my all time favourite games and was chuffed to bits when i found out I could play on my iPhone. Not a dulled down version of the full game by any means and still gives the full experience whilst on the go.
However I have had an issue which has caused me to stop playing, since the recent update, the touch screen has unsynced and I can now no longer plant seeds or do anything with any precision, I’ve tried the other control systems and the game will not match up with the map. A farming game without the ability to farm quickly loses its appeal.

Having been hooked on this for 12 hours already, I have to say the thought and design that has gone into making this wonderful game work on a mobile device is impressive. The interface is slick, and the controls are intuitive (and adaptable!)
A real standout for me is how little battery this game uses. It’s remarkable. I’ve had hours and hours of gameplay without needing to charge my iPhone.
The game itself is as brilliant as it is on Mac, with a lot of flexible gameplay and not too much grind. Well-worth the money.
Even if this kind of game isn’t your usual, give it a go, you all love it

Absolutely wonderful experience on an iPad
It’s definitely not the sort of game I would normally even consider, but this one is so much more.
Absolutely brilliant
However, my only gripe is related to my high level of disability, which of course is absolutely not the developer’s problem.
But because it is very hard for me to use my arm to function my iPad, i’m finding the duration of each day to be just a little bit too quick and I end up tiring my arm a lot and end up having to tiredly grasp for the menu button so I can pause it for a moment while I rest my screaming arm. Which is also a testament to how addictive this game becomes.
So if it’s possible an option in the menus to choose a few different time durations for a day would be extremely helpful to disable people like myself please.
If that’s possible :-)
Amazing but one bug with the horse

I have been playing for 5 weeks, and I am now on year 6, and have married almost every bachelor and bachelorette. When riding my horse to Marnie’s ranch, I dismounted my horse when crossing over, even though I did not press anything. I tried again at the bus stop Area, and I was not aloud my horse there. Same with the backwoods. I can walk past these areas or teleport somewhere, but I cannot take my horse. My farm has wooden paths all over in case that’s the issue. I would like to take my horse to Marnie’s or Robin’s, but it dismounts me when I try. If you could fix this, who knows? I might get to year 10 without getting bored! Also, I love the fishing :3 never played on PC before but this is great!

Love this game but there are some improvements that could be made.
Firstly placing objects like fences is extremely hard for some reason and I also find this when placing scarecrows, I have to be a certain place on a tile.
Secondly I use the game controls where you have a joy stick and 2 buttons and when I press the button to look at what the shop keepers selling the button is in the same place as the purchase option which means I accidentally buy the item and I’ve lost lots of money because of this.
Lastly I think there should be an option to knock on people’s bedroom doors if you want to give them something they have requested in the bulletin or a gift because it’s quite frustrating to have completed a mission and be locked outside their room. Overall though love it

I’ve played Stardew Valley on PC, Switch and now mobile. This is an excellent game and an impressive port but the fishing is completely impossible on mobile. The fish moves about so much and the controls are so unresponsive that you can barely catch anything. This needs sorting out.
/edit to add - the only way you can save is by sleeping. If you move to another app - even by accidentally pressing a notification, you will lose that day as when you come back to the app it will reload from the last save. That can be horribly frustrating.
I’ve also found that even catching trash improves your fishing so eventually if you catch enough algae and soggy newspapers you will level up and it gets easier. But compared to the PC and Switch versions fishing is an unpleasant experience.
/second edit - very rapid patch seems to have addressed these issues - plays very nicely now so have given it that fifth star. It’s an excellent game on any platform!

OMG 🤩 I absolutely love this style of game!
I never played it on the PC but my son did and he loved it too like everybody is saying it’s extremely buggy right now and can crash at anytime and lose all your days work which can be a huge amount to redo 🥴
I have never spent £7.99 (which is extremely expensive) on a game before and I wouldn’t expect it to have this many bugs.
I would really like to be able to do something with the cloth because right now all you can do it sell it, i’d like to be able to buy a sewing machine from the shop and make clothes, curtains and quilts 😍😍😍😍 that would be epic! Anyway I LOVE the game, keep up the good work ❤️

I LOVE Stardew Valley. I have it on PC and have spent months developing my farm, However I played with modifications so a vanilla version is a little weird for me! Anyways, I love the gameplay, I was a little hesitant spending 8 pounds nearly on an app but since the PC version was so good I had high hopes!
I have the iPhone XR and I experienced a few visual issues, one being the inventory bar was invisible almost as it was squashed into the indent on the top of the screen. I went into settings and adjusted that so no worries there. Another thing is when I use my finger to move the character it seems to walk randomly off like it had a mind of its own! Might want to look into that haha.
A joystick would definitely be beneficial at times. Expecially in combat, however I would recommend adding an option for the player to choose between the tap or joystick if you do choose to add it in.
Cloud saving would definitely be useful too!
Please hide the home button bar on iPhone XR - it’s very distracting!
Oh, and when you can ... please, please add in multiplayer - I miss playing with my best friend!
Keep up the amazing work, the game is wonderful and worth every penny! :)

This is a great farming sim RPG. Really well ported, fun to play. Surprisingly in-depth. The controls are actually ok but a joystick option would be nice as it is awkward to hold my phone and my hand keeps covering the screen to select each plot to water. While I do actually like the controls it would be good to try out the option as at times it feels awkward.
Also, there is no way of knowing where you are on the calendar? It says Sun 7 on my game but is it spring? Is it summer? Would be nice to have that displayed on the screen when you touch the date.

I’m already a massive fan of this game, I own it for console and I’ve sunk so many hours into it it’s unreal! Even better now I can take it anywhere with me on a handheld device, perfect for when the OH is hogging the TV to play Red Dead/COD 😉 50 hours of content really is a minimum! I personally have no issues with the controls for this platform and if an on screen joystick is made available I think this should be optional. Graphics are just as cute as they are on a console, and at £7.99 it’s a steal - go on, buy it!

Every review I’ve seen of this game has been stellar, but I’d convinced myself it wasn’t for me. I like knowing what my goal is, and when games have too many options I tend to lose my way and get bored. That hasn’t been the case here. I really do have a sense of what I want to do, and I’m always presented with options for what I can do next. It’s never overbearing or worryingly urgent, but it’s always real and compelling.
The game is meant to be pretty much pure escapism - it’s laid out that way from the intro sequence onwards - and it delivers. You enter a world that is genuinely happy and simple and filled with possibilities but all of them seem like good ones. It’s a delightful, fully-formed game-world, and I regularly find myself thinking of it when I’m not playing. Truly wonderful.

I have to admit I am a very big fan of this on my PC. This makes me a bit biased but I absolutely love this game.
Yes, there are a few bugs but I can guarantee they are going to be fixed because there have been several updates for PC. The fishing needs improvement, along with the controls of movement (possible onscreen joystick) and the combat is very difficult to use and if you put it on auto you tend to get hurt.
Cloud saves would be amazing and I’m sure that it will be sorted soon.
I’m giving it 5/5 purely because it has run fine for me and still looks beautiful like Stardew should do.

I agree with a lot of the comments here, this is also my first time playing Stardew Valley, so far the experience has been enjoyable but frustrating at times, I keep finding that I select tools accidentally on the left panel when moving so accidentally gift NPCs strange goods, also when watering plants I have found through no fault of my own that the watering can changes to the pick axe and destroys my crops. The idea of a joystick could be very useful for extensive adventuring and maybe even a choice to zoom out if not so we can select further away points of travel for easier function. Last thing I noticed was Pierre never being at the cash desk, it’s like he is stuck “stacking shelves” whenever I enter after several days of attempting to buy seeds. On the whole though it’s a brilliant port which I will spend many hours on. Highly recommend to all users. 5 stars on fix of the few problematic functions.

Stardew valley is an incredible game. You can play it as stressful or relaxed as you like, running your own farm and experiencing another life! The description says 50 hours of content - but hell, that’s a minimum. For £7 this game gives you a farm simulator with no ads and micro transactions, amazing music, story and heartwarming moments. Plus infinite replay ability of a never ending farm building and managing game, from livestock to crops. The Secret Police did an amazing job porting the incredible game Concerned Ape created - all parties behind this project should be incredibly proud. Now - time to not do college work and manage a fake farm.
