Dazz camera is inspired by classic film cameras from the 80s. We’ve sampled real film stock to recreate the colors and textures of vintage photography. Amazing app

Easily the best photography app out there. Absolutely incredible results. I spent ages really playing around with all the camera and settings to find the perfect mix for each camera. Just bought the yearly subscription which is hardly any money at all. Simply using the original camera instead of your iPhone camera is a huuuuge upgrade but the aesthetic vintage photography is producing such beautiful shots. Thanks for this wonderful app and for the low price!

My Absolute Favourite App🤩🥳

I never made any reviews for any apps in any appstores of any kind... But I can't go any longer without reviewing this app. Since I downloaded it about a year ago or so, it's been gradually getting used more and more... ESPECIALLY after I paid for the premium features, the paid for film simulations are really where it's at👌🏽 This has been the top app on my phone for a long time now, it's the one I use the most every day, for any photo or video needs. I love it so much I wish I could make it my default camera app🥲

Although there are a few things I would like to see improvements with, such as the updates frequency. It's said that theres frequent updates with new cameras added, but from what I can tell it always takes a long while to get any new cameras or looks in the app. Other features such as film negatives being able to be edited in post, would be nice to have available for all cameras, and same goes for external photo import.

Furthermore, I'd like to see a higher variety of film stocks available for across all cameras. Ideally having a list of film stocks that are able to use across all of the different cameras would've perfect🥹

Never the less, with or without the need for improvements, it is still my favourite app or all and I love it to bits! I'm just patiently but anxiously waiting for a new update to come out that incorporates the new functionality of the iPhones 16s capture button features. Would be lovely to be able to use that new button and it's features inside the Dazz app😍 I'm refreshing my app store twice daily waiting for an update! Hopefully it comes soon🤞🏽

Easily the best retro camera app

I absolutely love this app and paid to unlock the full version with zero hesitation! Super realistic emulation of classic film cameras and video tape camcorders.

Amazing app

Really wonderful. As a photographer who’s used many film cameras and like to emulate film in lightroom, the looks you get out of the box are impressive. Gives you features to change white balance, exposure, and focal length. And no subscription !! (The reason I chose this over others). Maybe my favourite app I’ve purchased. The video features are also authentic with shutter control, which is a nice bonus for sure.

Polaroid:

The creator has come up with such a brilliant idea, and it has become reality.

To make a normal camera seem different is incredible! But here’s a few things I found annoying - first, the Polaroid are so cool, and at the moment my Polaroid has been not working because it’s broken. I was so excited to use the Polaroid camera on Dazz cam, until I realised that you have to pay. Every thing else is amazing! But please make the Polaroid free and printable! 🙏

I like how there’s plenty of options for cameras and the ability to shoot directly from the app and the app will also save the original photo too. Would be better if you could shoot video directly in the app and the app saves the original video as currently the only way to preserve the original video is to import it manually into the app then save it.

An incredible creative tool

I really love Dazz Cam! I'm a professional photographer and own a number of cameras including some 35mm film cameras. While an iPhone photo will never be quite the same as a photo taken on a dedicated camera, I find that Dazz Cam is a great way to explore my creativity and recreate a similar aesthetic to a variety of iconic cameras of the past.

Best vintage camera substitute for phones

Been searching ages for the right app to use that isn’t riddled with paywalls and wanting an extortionate subscription fee for their “pro” version, it still gives you plenty of filters and cam-simulators for free and in conjunction with their other app Liit, this makes easily for the best substitute i’ve come across to still get an array of shot styles when I only have my phone out with me. 10/10 no complaints muchas recommendo 😗👌👌

Did I do something wrong?

Always used Dazz Cam for taking pictures of the moon and it’s hand down one of the best app for that!! And I love the details it can capture. I normally use the 3x camera and manually zoom in, then adjust the exposure to the minimum. The moon can be seen from the camera however when I take the picture only an empty black picture is captured. Tried it several times and also tried redownloading it but it still persists. 😭 Also realised that this does not happen when the exposure is not adjusted sooo am I doing something wrong?

Please stop downsampling photos!!!

Good filters - look very convincing, almost as if photos were actually taken with film cameras BUT the output is a max of 6 megapixels which is HALF the iPhone photo resolution!!!! Please fix this so I can print my photos, you should NOT downsize the photo at all!!! The filter should be applied at full resolution!!!

It’s good but…..

When i record a video using vhs, i have to put the phone a certain way otherwise the time stamp would be upside down and selfie video also doesn’t flip the video like it’s mirrored. So when previewing the selfie video, the words are the other way round. Unlike the built in camera, when taking selfies or video, it corrects and flips the preview so words or signs can be read when viewed.

Other than that i love the effects and vhs looks authentic. I hope there will be updates about my suggestions above.

Great but limited image quality

Great app, really authentic looking filters however it needs an option to export all video in at least 1080p. The super 8 filter seems to only export at 480p, creating a pretty pixelated image if you upload it to YouTube and watch back on a monitor / tv for example

Import bug

Love the app and is features, but unfortunately there is a bug that won’t show any of your existing photos from your phones photo library when pressing the import button rather than taking a new photo in the app. It’s just a blank black screen that says “albums”. Great but refund requested

Great app and I love the filters and various camera options. Great App but sadly I’ve requested a refund from Apple because after paying £9.99 for the one time purchase to unlock all features, the in app purchase didn’t unlock anything and I was still charged.

I absolutely love this app and use it a lot! I have brought the one time purchase of £10 so I have access to all the filters. My only criticism would be that I can’t seem to remove the ‘date stamp’ from the images. You can change the layout of the date, but you can’t remove it.

Exactly what I have been looking for.

For months I’ve been trying to find an app that will be able to give me all the vintage effects with an easy user interface and I have finally found it.

Can’t upload pics for 3D camera

On pretty much all the cameras you can upload/import pictures from your camera roll and apply the camera effect to the photo. However, it will not work for the 3D one. I can take Live Photo’s with it, but it will not let me upload from my photo library. Pleaseeee fix this, it’s the reason I got the app in the first place. Other than this, the app is amazing and very reasonable!!

Great but...

I love this app ! But there are a few problems 1. You can’t delete photos you delete the ones you don’t want and at first it works than you go off and back on the app and there all back it may just be my phone since I’ve seen no other complaints 2. It’s unclear which filters and cameras are premium so when you click on a filter /camera thinking it looks good a screen pops up saying buy premium which is just tedious adding something like a star next to the premium filters would save a lot of time

It’s good but..

I really like this app as it gives a really nice vhs effect. I saw this app on TikTok and I thought I would try it because people said it was amazing. I think it’s good but when I press the D3D camera effect (what I downloaded it for) it doesn’t let me use photos from my camera roll, it’s just a blank screen. The Best!

Simply the best, can’t wait for new features and filters and the app is beautiful to use! One thing I would LOVE is to get a live preview of what the end result image is going to look like in the viewfinder..(just to save time) but that’s just a wish.. always excited to see regular updates and improvements hope this is soon recognised as the official number 1 app for creating amazing nostalgic analog photos and videos!

Think about it guys when people grab their phones out to capture a moment they usually grab the camera out real quick not run into another app. To edit later on, these filters and camera options are really organic and very well crafted. I’ve never been so overwhelmingly excited over an app before. it is much more than a 30 second novelty that you download for fun and forget to ever use. This app has become my phone.
