Disgraceful approach

After being a customer personally and for my business Revolut recently went through a spate of closing accounts which they weren't making enough money out of. They attempted to charge me for my account closure. The following day sent me a free metal card as an upgrade. Closed my account, then paid out a DD which should have been cancelled. Toxic customer service from a business that clearly favours SaaS unit economics over longevity and customer engagement. Awful. Avoid.

Poor customer service

As long as they or you don’t have some kind of issue - particularly a technical issue at their side - everything will mostly be ok. Not great but ok. When something goes wrong you really see how bad it is. Then it just becomes cut and paste platitudes on the chat service which might as well be “La La La - I don’t care. I’m not really listening”. So if you’re flexible enough to smooth over problems, then probably ok, but if you need a service you can rely on or takes responsibility and practical action when things go wrong at their side, steer clear of Revolut.

Amazing app if you never got scammed

I have been using my Revolut account for a while and I have done numerous transactions without any issues. However, last week I got scammed and lost roughly 600£. I have reported the issue to the local authorities and messaged the support team in order to get some help. Have been a week and looks like no one is taking care of it… Every time I tried to talk with a member of the support team, no one knows what is going on… All they say is that they are investigating and to read my email ( I haven’t received any email for Revolut so far) Just stay safe out there and keep your money safe. Revolut is without a doubt a good banking for a small businesses but they don’t care if you lose your money or not. This was 600£ down the drain, i don’t wanna imagine what would have happened if it was 2/3k… They would probably ignore my messages.
A small update:
They came back to me saying, they determined that the charges couldn’t have be done without my unintentional negligence.
So, in other words I got robbed and also accused of robbing myself…
Just be careful with your money because Revolut won’t give you back and will accuse you of doing it in order to don’t refund the amount stolen.
In order word this app it’s a joke.

Not a fan! Glitchy integration with Xero

I have really disliked using this account. The integration with Xero is really glitchy which causes constant problems with our accounting. I find the app really un-intuitive to use.

THE ONLY BANK YOU’LL NEED

I used to bank with HSBC, Barclays and Lloyds for both personal and business banking, however i stopped using them as soon as i opened an account with Revolut.
Traditional banking is boring, slow, unnecessary complicated and impossible to deal with.
Revolut is the future of banking and that’s the only reason their full banking licence has been delayed so much; the FCA IS are being lobbied by the big banks - they are scared.

Didn't expect that bad service

The app is great but opening three merchant account turned to be a nightmare. In the end we can't use the money we received even days after the account was approved. Horrible experience and actually higher than average fees at that. Back to Stripe once we get the money...

Default on International payment

As a director of a small company, I trusted Revolut Business to make an international payment to one of our clients. After 3 months, the funds did not reach the destination and after almost weekly messages to recover the funds, we still had to pay the bank fees and Revolut Business denied any responsibility. Worst costumer service

I’ve been trying to make a transfer to Binance ( account to Seychelles ) and isn’t working.
I’ve been on the “ costumer service chat” for 5 hours ! ( yes , 5 entire hours ) and still no one is able to even give a vague suggestion.

Great banking services

Revolut is brilliant, easy to use, I’ve had no issues using it, and if I have had any questions the teams are reached pretty much instantly, no matter the time you message them. All my queries and questions have been answered and I am happy with the services provided by revolut. I would most certainly recommend them to anyone who is stuck and looking for a business bank. Even though I have pretty sub standard credit, I couldn't get a business bank from anyone, it’s ridiculous, how is a small business meant to get going when know one will give you a chance. Thanks to revolut, my business has gone from strength to strength.

Terrible App

A terrible business banking App.
Fails to connect with my Quickbooks account meaning tax returns are an absolute nightmare as is keeping upto date records/invoices.
App fails constantly, kicks you out regularly and then won’t let to log back in for hours on end.
Steep 0.20p per transaction soon adds up when you receive more than the first 5 a month for free.
I have been saying for years that I will be finding an alternative business banking provider but kept putting it off due to the hassle of moving.
Well, last straw today when card was declined for a large purchase due to yet another revolut failure to provide an adequate service!

Very poor customer service

I ordered a Revolut card reader and was immediately charged over £60 for it. I then received an email telling me that I did not qualify for a card reader. However, Revolut did not refund me the charge. Despite many, many messages from customer service, telling me they are dealing with it, no refund. Think seriously about joining this bank.

Can’t contact them no reply’s to messages in chat

Not able to connect with the chat and no answer to any questions no repays after days and still no contact from the business. Extremely bad not being able to contact anyone with money in the account. Strongly advise using this app with caution as there is no contact in the chat to be able to talk with anyone. Disappointed. Money can’t be used.

The worst!

I wrote a whole long review but it got deleted. To sum it up:
1. The worst user interface of any bank I've come across. It makes no sense and frustrates me every time I use it and I consider myself pretty tech-savvy.
2. No customer support. No number to call. I couldn't log in and had to wait a week for customer support to come back to me via email just to tell me to use the live chat which I could not access because I couldn't log in!
So glad I've since switched to another business account for my primary use, because the frustration of Revolut is just not worth it.

AVOID Revolut business

If you plan to use this as your MAIN business bank account. DO NOT USE REVOLUT.
They will consistently block your account and ask for invoices, customer contracts, supplier contracts etc.
That you provide repeatedly. It seems they are incapable or reviewing any of your documents that they hold on record….
They give no apology, no reason. Their customer support is automated and completely ignorant to the effects of blocking a businesses account for 24 hours let alone weeks at a time!
I am 4 weeks into an account block. I have provided all information and more. To prove my business is real and legit.
They have now sent me emails saying to withdraw my funds because they will close my account…… keep in mind my account has been blocked for 3 weeks.
I attempt to withdraw the funds, the account is still blocked. It takes support 3 days to then inform me that they will transfer the funds to an account on my behalf.
I receive another email telling me not to forget to withdraw my funds…. I chase REVOLUT support. Who with their arrogant tone, can not give me a timeframe as to when I will receive my own money. And say they have escalated it.
As of writing it’s been 25 days without a business account and so far have received one court order to pay a supplier but I am unable to due to account being blocked.
If you want to use this as your main business account. Please do not be so foolish as I was. They will close your business overnight, LITERALLY.

DONT RISK LOSING ACCESS TO YOUR FUNDS

My business account was put under review with no notification or reason, account was frozen and I was unable to conduct business transactions or access my funds. I was asked for documentation on 6 transactions, some from 6 months previous, I basic had to send copies of invoices from all my suppliers and larger purchases. When documents were sent through they guessed it would take a week to resolve… I’m still waiting.

Awful incompetent service

Returned my earnings of almost £1k to sender meaning no money in account because of their actions and now making it impossible to close my accounts with them. This is an online account with no overdraft, nothing overdue. Customer services are obstructive with jobsworth attitude. The last thing a small business needs is a bank that suddenly returns incoming payments from employers who have made multiple previous payments. Avoid at all costs!!!

I use Revolut business and personal. Really good app, super easy to use, very convenient. The rates on FX are very good, and for the Business service, I had help from one account manager - dedicated - she made it super easy and fast. My bank was not able to open a business account in months - Revolut did it in a few days.

I run a small and growing business and many other mainstream banks rejected my application as I had to make it dormant because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The application was quick, easy and an added bounous is that it supports and encouraged international business. I’ve been using the personal Revolut account for many years now not knowing that there’s a legit and so easy to use business app as well.
Shifted all my 3 businesses to Rev and never been so happy.
Was with HSBC and Barclays before that and honestly the difference is huge.

Worst bank ever

I made a transfer to India almost 10 days ago (on 20th June 2022). The recipient’s bank account were correct and confirmed by him. The transfer never arrived and I’m still waiting for them to do something about it. I have filed a formal complaint and I am following their “procedure” but they simply don’t care. Also, I have learned that Revolut operates under an e-money licence in the UK, so you aren’t covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). I regret having opened an account with them and would not recommend them at all. One star is overrating them 😓
Update: I’m now trying to close my account and I’m having difficulties both on the app (I’m being ignored) and I cannot access the website either. I followed their instructions but they give you the wrong instructions so it’s a catch 22. I wonder how long they’ll make me wait to close the account and forget about this nightmare. Date today: 28th July 2022.
I would not and will not recommend this “bank” to anyone.

Excellent… but expenses needs work

Don’t know how I ran a business before Revolut, everything is just easy and fast and I can do 90% of things from my phone.
It may seem churlish to down-rate a star for just this, but despite feedback (I can’t be the only one) the expenses feature is a bit useless as the receipt photos don’t get synced to Xero with the transaction info (would be an easy fix) and despite nominating just one card to be used for expenses, all of my card transactions AND direct debits now say “need expenses info” making identifying which expenses genuinely need more info a real pain.
And,
the option to add receipt photo keeps disappearing temporarily, meaning I have to carry paper in my pocket. Ugh, how 20th century.

Continuous pending business information | useless VA’s

I was impressed with the array of features this company had to offer.
However the KYC checks are a little absurd.
We cannot use our business banking as they continuously ask for updates of information - which I am constantly providing.
They ask for government correspondence that isn’t from HMRC or Companies House, so I uploaded a letter with the correct business name and address that is associated with the account - that is from the U.K. IPO. However it seems that their Virtual assistants, think all government correspondence falls under companies house.
I can’t deposit money into the account and use it for payments. It’s useless… checks take forever, there are no notifications to let you know if the checks are pending or have been completed.
When they ask for Information, they also ask for your ‘business bank account’ statements - but we are a start-up, this was supposed to be the first bank we used.
Super annoying - Monzo has a much better UX/UI.

Avoid Revolut business as they reverted a payment over 250k usd after they kept it pending for one week for security check and after we provided documents required by the idiot team and after we submitted the shipping for the client and (invoice -tax and customer documents) they approved the transaction and reverted to client and I lost the money and the goods .and the only think I got it was (sorry ) bear in your mind that Revolut will restrict your account and hold your money for no reason too and no contact number to talk with .avoid them or you will be regretted and your business will fall down

Illegal unreliable Untrustworthy Bank DO NOT TRUST WITH a cent

The Worst bank. Opened a personal account then liked the app and opened a business account and what a mistake. This “Bank” is unlicensed in the UK, it’s only an E money institution. NO CS NO MANAGMENT NO PHONE NUMBERS NO COMPLAINTS TEAM NO LOCATION NOTHING!!! Avoid at alllll costtttt REVOLUT froze my business account and log me out of my business account and basically took the money for a week then had to rest the password 10 times and every time I wanted to login online on laptop and app won’t work. THEY STOLE MONEY FROM MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT AND SENT it to another bank! No explanation and still fighting with poor chat service. They gave in notice to close the account in few weeks and they still haven’t solved the problem they caused and haven’t returned the money the stole without authorisation. The worst customer service team and worst complaint team. All they do is copy paste generic text and apologies but will never ever ever solve your problem and will waste your time. The matter will be escalated and be taking to the FCA, the UK police and be reported to UK national fraud department.

Compromising my safety and privacy

Every single time I log in, they force me to share sensitive data with Google, for no good reason! Then, they send me an email saying there was a log in attempt from an unusual device, when it’s actually the same device I’ve used every single time.
They say, that in order to avoid those ridiculous emails, I need to have less security and less privacy in my browsing. They even told me to disable the ad blockers which is extremely dodgy!
Also, after they sent me my card and I put money in, they told me that I would lose access to my money, unless I set my home address as the business address. They wanted to dictate how I’m managing my business. Luckily, I got my money out quickly.
I created an account with a different bank and now I have peace of mind.

Terrible - invasive and appalling customer services

This is hands down the worst banking experience I have ever had. My account only lasted a month. They started asking some very invasive questions about my transactions and when I refused to provide details for them they shut the account. I have never been asked to provide information about transactions before with any other bank be it personal or business.
Fortunately having read some of the other reviews on here had already moved all of the money out of the account into a new business account.
My advise would be to avoid at all costs.

It was set up in hours and I had online cards set up same day for purchases. It has useful business tools including payment links for invoices.
One issue I had was rectified by the online customer service fairly quickly.
Only down side is paying in cash isn’t possible. Not even via post office. You have to pay it in and transfer it via different account.

Good in concept, not in practice

I joined Revolut as I wanted a seamless digital experience. I travel often and had heard great things about the bank’s services and ease of transaction locally and while travelling.
Unfortunately I have had 2 problematic instances where technical issues from Revolut’s end have resulted in failed merchant payments (Direct Debits and single payments). My merchants have identified Revolut as notoriously bad and unreliable for Direct Debits. This has resulted in negative credit record for the company and arrears with my merchants.
I have contacted Revolut numerous times with the issue, leaving the chats going for hours without any resolution. The agents expect to be fully briefed every time I speak about the same issue (as the days end waiting for responses) and we never get to the solution.
Cancelling this account and changing babks now. Don't use it unless you have time to spend hours addressing payment issues.

Buggy AF

Logging into 2nd account means that the fingerprint login to the first disappears.
Went down the email login method. Couldn’t remember password so I Clicked on reset password, clicked on link in email to go to reset password but took me to the reset password page again (caught in a vicious loop)
When asked for the latest deposit/money in, I clicked on the dropdown of the currency and all currencies appeared behind this window meaning that I couldn’t select any currency
When asked for a selfie with the date, I allowed camera however it was black and couldn’t see myself so had to guess at the selfie angle.
Genuinely one of the poorest (if not THE poorest) user experience I’ve experienced. Looking to leave asap. Wouldn’t recommend.

Good overall but need to focus on capabilities

Overall good app but doesn’t support more than one business account which forces me to login to the website. Also I keep getting notifications for surveys, marketing and communication etc even though it is clearly deactivated and asked several times to be left alone. Why do you keep asking me if I like/dislike the app, just let me dismiss these messages please and stop sending me marketing stuff when I keep asking to not receive it.

Awful bank + awful app, I’ve deleted my account

Revolut bank is absolutely terrible, in the 2 months I’ve had it I’ve only had issues and never managed to use my card. There were issues when doing payments with Apple Pay, issues doing payments online (they need to be approved in the app but we got the request for approval like 1 out of 5 attempts and it still didn’t work)
The app itself is absolutely not intuitive, it seems that it tries to sell you services and upgrades at every corner instead of focusing on giving you access to your bank account
After dealing with their unresponsive customer service for a month I opened an account with another company, and have been trying to close my Revolut account for the past month, which should finally be done soon
In the app itself it asked me to write a review, and the 2 times I tried to do it clicking on the “I do not like the app” option, there was a “mysterious” error, and it didn’t let me, which I think is why it has so many positive reviews as it doesn’t let you post negative ones from their app.
This was such a nightmare experience that I felt it was important to come on the AppStore to share my honest review.
I’ve had an online only bank for 2 years (another bank) and never had any issues, so I genuinely don’t understand how Revolut is so bad in comparison

Can’t login for 3 days while travelling!

I went to Barcelona recently and have already returned to London, but when I try to log in, the app issues a an email link for verification which gives correct device, IP and date, but wrong location!! It says Spain, but I am in London!! And obviously the “confirm” button in email gives error message and doesn’t let me in!! Please fix it as soon as possible!!
I wouldn’t mind giving Revolut app location tracking privileges but there is no such option in setting either!! So it probably just uses the location from the last log in which was in Spain! Horrible app development! Already reinstalled the app 3 times and cleared all possible data

Easy and simple but no vaults and adding contacts is a problem

Opening the account is super easy and fast. It’s great to use too, very fast. I think they should have vaults, so it’s easier to put money aside for tax or paying contractors. Also, a possibility for opening this for a virtual office would be an advantage.
Another thing - when you already have the personal Revolut app, you can’t use the same contacts there. Even if someone has Revolut, you need to manually add every person and add their full account number, which takes time.

WASTE OF TIME, bad application

Let me outline a couple reasons why Revolut is so bad:
1. The UX/UI is horrible, I’m having to click 7/8x before I can actually perform an action. It’s competitors i.e. monzo takes 2 clicks
2. If you have a business account and a personal account, guess what, something of unique info has to be different, so if you’re a sole trader, and you’re using the same home address, you’re now UNABLE TO USE the business account you’ve just created. “Something has to be different I.e. add a middle name or address” 🤦🏽‍♂️ a bit stupid because I don’t have a middle name + the address I provide HAS TO BE ONE where you reside/work from which is not always the case for sole traders. Which means the business account you’ve just created...you can’t add money...you can’t make transactions etc.
3. Customer support isn’t helpful, I was going around in circles trying to ask for help on how to perform an action (send international payments) / add money to account, and it takes them a LONG TIME TO RESPOND. 9 times out of 10 you’ll be told that they’re looking into it, and then they disappear for 15/20 min. I’d you don’t respond within 2/3 minutes of getting a response from them, the chat ends 🙃
Overall, it’s not a user friends app, it’s not clear at all, technical limitations from THEIR SIDE means other sole traders like myself can not make use of the business account due to previously having a current account with revolut.
Don’t waste your time on this :)

Do not trust

Made an international transfer, it didn’t show in the transactions after 30min so spoke to support, they said it wasn’t on the system and to try again, 2nd and 3rd time I tried it showed and error message. 10min later all 3 attempts went through successfully, thankfully the payments were to a supplier we use often and it has just gone on credit.
We have also had a few card payments show up in the app with the wrong receiving company name. Checked with the receiver and it has worked ok, but the Revolut app glitches and showed the payment as going to a completely unrelated company.

Dangerous Bank for Small Business

If you’re a small business, you should steer well clear of this bank. Accounts are randomly frozen for “compliance reviews” when you hit certain thresholds, but their teams are not adequately resourced. My account (and all funds) have been frozen for weeks despite all information being provided promptly. A brief Google shows this is extremely common, and it is utterly shocking during a pandemic when businesses are struggling that they would put the final nail in the coffin by freezing accounts. The support team are useless and claim they have no way to tell where things are or how long it will take. Not can you speak directly with this mysterious team. You risk your business and your livelihood if you choose Revolut. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I’m now in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Ombudsman and regulator.

So far so good

This review is being logged after joining Revolut. So far I’m incredibly impressed. The only thing I’ve found difficult is related to a very specific set of circumstances I am in relating to my residency. This was dealt with really quickly by the onboarding team and I was really impressed with the customer service. I am very hopeful that the great service and experience will continue.

Poor App

I find this app really hard to work with. It crashes with regularity (every time I press ?). It’s difficult to navigate to find basic details about my account. I use appleid to login but you can’t do use this on the website! You can only to do bank transfers to top up. All of this and they charge £7 a month! I don’t think I will be a customer for much longer.

New Approach To Business Banking

What a refreshing change to banking ,, I run a small but successful business to which the high street banks have no interest in excepting charging you for stuff you don’t want or need. On top of which they charge you for everything & then offer no support in any way shape or form. After applying some modern thinking ,, was Recomended this bank. To be honest at first I was grabbed by it’s marketing .. But after looking around I thought you know what let’s give it a go.. Wow ,, glad I did .. such versatility it links and works with all my other business tools / apps & you can set up multiple accounts to split International funds aside from UK .. with ease of moving funds between them & to payees .. you can upload invoices & receipts against payments so there can be no mistake what you were paying .. an accountants dream . Oh of which I set them up on view only in like 5 mins .. that proses took around 6 weeks in my old high steer bank .. This bank & App are leap years ahead of main stream banks .. I can’t say enough about it .. the only draw back is you can’t get access to large amounts of cash fast ,, but who really wants cash when it could carry the virus !? Not Me ,, No I just changed the wag I do business .. adapt to your surroundings .. This app is certainly adaptable,, would highly recommend it .. ;)

Slick, reliable, good features

For my sole trader business I use this and a rival fintech account. The Revolut app is intuitive once you get used to it, and crucially has unique features such as the ability to integrate transaction info via zapier, and take card payments straight into the account via woocommerce. The freelancer account is well worth £7 per month for this crucial infrastructure. One star off for lack of proper transaction search (just decent filters) and no ‘vaults’/‘spaces’.

Terrible banking experience

While the app itself works fine, there is no customer support, even for urgent issues. I am a premium customer and they really don’t care if you pay or don’t. I have been waiting for the card for over 2 weeks and the staff are refusing to cancel a clearly lost card and just send a new one.

Most horrible experience with a bank I’ve had in my life

My account has been blocked for no reason and now will be deactivated, I am asked to withdraw my funds but the transfer functionality is still disabled. I’ve try to reach out the in app customer service but had the most useless conversation with a customer service, and now I cannot even contact the customer service anymore.
At the attention of the developers, please I just would like to withdraw my funds..
I totally recommend to stay AWAY from this bank... if you have any problems with them it’s a veritable nightmare to contact them and have useful answers.

Business app not working

Unlike Revolut personal app, their business app is awful, all our employees have issues with their cards, identity checks has been done several times, it gets verified but then disappears and ask for identity over again, and it has frozen in that verification stage therefore the card info shows as blank, technically useless, the support team is not helping at all with no clear answer, no answer in fact, just repeating it takes times- verification has been taken weeks for all of our team members despite "10 minute" estimation on the app. This has caused so much frustration and complications as payments can't go through, and the sad part is that there is no help or explanation what so ever-

I love, love, love the app now!

Truly enjoy using the app, Revolut has been my business’ and personal essential financial tool for a few years by now. Beautiful app, amazing UX & UI, fantastic features!

OLD REVIEW: The app is fine but it really misses some important features:
1) it needs a notification option when money arrives on the account.
2) really needs a feature to get a statement from the transaction record, otherwise, it’s difficult to manage it on the go.
3) showing what’s left out of the monthly limit on the “Card” screen really doesn’t make sense - I almost had a heart attack a couple of times when I thought it’s the balance. The limits shall be shown in a different way following the standards of the UX.

Much easier away of banking and no fuss or faffing around!

After 19 years of personal account banking with NatWest they let me down waiting for months to open a business account, and gave me a plain “NO, WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN BACKING YOUR BUSINESS” for an answer! Having such a huge disappointment, I’ve decided to have a go at Revolut business account and I have no regrets! Straight forward opening account, no faffing around with their customers, reliable bank transfers immediate notification of transactions. I can transfer, manager, block, receive and make payments from my phone! Brilliant! Revolut just gave me the opportunity to get my new business running easily sparing me of the embarrassment NatWest caused me with my customers!

3 days to open account without success

I really like Revolut but business account seems to have a lot of issues. I tried to open account probably 10 times without success. At present I am stuck at creating passcode, every time I try to enter and confirm got message back ‘Something went wrong please try again’. That’s not the only problem I faced and for that 1 star.

I have been using RB for a few months now as a business owner and I can say it’s quick easy and has its finger on the pulse at all times. I love the control it gives you and almost all functions are instant. I find the main control page easy but it could be a little more clearer and put function over design that said I still give the app 5 stars.

I have been using Revolut for quite a while now. I honestly have found the app incredibly easy to use and it always works. I can do everything I need on the go. Instant exchanges and bank transfers as well as having access to multiple cards and even able to ‘create’ cards on my phone. Brilliant.

Absolute worst

I’m gonna say it one last time. I tried to create a business account and wouldn’t let me. Was asking to link an old profile. An old attempt to create account last year but it was never opened. An agent said that she deleted that profile and now I can proceed. I tried but now was asking me for my personals account passcode. Which I typed and it keep saying it’s wrong. Although I can login with the same passcode from the app. Clicking on forgot my passcode and putting personal and business address then shows an error saying forbidden action. Support doesn’t help 4 hours now no resolution. Imagine what will happen if you can’t access your business account and need to make payments. Amazing

Unforgivable customer service

I had revolut personal and business metal plan account since it’s first days. Even though there were teething problems at start I have signed up all of my family and friends to it.
This month I have sent money to a member of my family. After keeping account blocked for over a month, no apology or explanation for the delay, even though we have submitted all the relevant documents requested for another flagged random check. Live chat that was suppose to be available to a metal plan holders 24/7 was answered after 2-3 days wait with another excuse.
We have now read that there is a trouble with wire card and all banks attached to it . I just wish they could’ve been honest with us and notified us about problems and delays. One of my friends received a notification from his bank about possible disruption.
It is very easy to get new customers but keeping them is another matter.
I am now closing all my accounts with Revolut and advising all of my friends and family to do the same.

Shocking customer Service.

Was notified on their message system that they had decided to close our business account, no reason given, just thanks but clear your funds and go.
So I obviously asked for the reason why, especially as we had just gone to great lengths in transferring and setting the account up along with five foreign currency accounts to handle our import payments across the world.
Three weeks of complete nonsense from Revolut so far. Cut and paste replies, nothing personal or remotely human at all. Every reply has dodged the actual question : WHY ARE YOU CLOSING OUR ACCOUNT?????

Brilliant user interface

Easy to use and very ripe for this digital age. Granted, I’ve not used Starling but Revolut for Business is slick, smart and if you do have any issues, the support team available in chat are responsive, helpful and to the point. Storing multiple currencies is genius.
Only thing from stopping me awarding 5⭐️ is that they don’t yet offer a true debit card – only a prepaid option – which means some online merchants will decline your card (eg PayPal). The virtual subscription cards though are very smart and useful. With some tweaks and full FSCS registration Revolut would be pretty unbeatable.

At first it will be all good then it will hit you

I had a personal account which I upgraded to the paid version. Had a decent experience except for the fact that the customer services take ages to reply and takes days to get anything done. I thought ok let’s give it a try with my business accounts. What a mistake. At first it seemed ok but after a while they started asking for proof of this and that which I provided they then went to extremes asking for thing that did not have anything to do with the business again which I provided. Everything went on fine and then for no reason they held all the money in my account. When I tried to contact them to ask them why I received automated responses and no resolution. It took me forever and to try and get my funds released and they just did not care that they had damaged my business and I had lost over half of my revenue. They are a bunch of cowboys with a smart looking app. Do yourself a favor stay away.

Reported to Financial Ombudsman - Terrible, Horrible and Worst excuse for a business account

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND SANITY WITH REVOLUT. THEY ARE USELESS!!!
Having successfully used Revolut personal account along with Monzo for travelling, when I needed to open a business account to receive payment from foreign clients I thought Revolut would be a great choice. For the type of service I needed I had to opt for a paid account, £25 pcm. I was informed whilst setting up the account that I could change account type easily at any time. The app is so useless there was no access to a chat in the help section just FAQ. No email for contacting them. I couldn’t get payment from my clients for 2+ months. In the end I opened a business account with Tide, which I have been using since without any issue. Then the next and ongoing issue was closing the account and getting back my fees. Have now taking the case to the financial ombudsman and will start legal proceedings if that doesn’t resolve this nightmare.
- No telephone number just an automated number that directs you to an email.
- Difficulty finding correct email to contact them.
- Chat service was not on the app and difficult to find in web version.
- Generic email response to your complaint. No urgency from customer service.
- A clear intention from customer support to delay closing account for as long as possible to keep collecting fees.
- Falsely advertising services that they cannot provide current

Very disappointed as well and finding risky to use

It’s a bit strange to read so manny comments that someone with no physical approaching and just online services playing with other people’s moneys!
I suggest you 3 times to check properly before let someone to play with your money and work
Better use a higher street bank or read better other providers and their reviews such Anna for example
Unfortunately I was very disappointed as well from the begging so I decide to continue further with them anymore and let them to held my moneys, maybe block them for who the hell knows how long and struggle like multiple other persons to recover my work.

Business Account

I have used Revolut business now for 1 year.
The service has been great. I get asked every few months to submit invoices etc and never had any issues. To be able to use the card on other countries is great.
I have seen stories in Facebook where people say they have there money frozen for months, but I can honestly say I have had no issues.
Overall I would recommend it 100%

Perfect for the modern business

Revolut was recommended to me by my wife who travels a lot. When I set up my business I realised a lot of high street banks took an age to make appointments and set up an account. I looked at Revolut and had an account set up the same day. I can transfer funds at ease, get notified when funds are low and the fees are reasonable- I’ve already recommended and helped a colleague set up his own account.

Easy to use, easy to monitor for accountancy purposes. It does what it says on the tin. I also have Revolut personal accounts and recently added children’s accounts too. One stop.

Shocking customer service / littered with bugs

Great in principle. Worked well for first few months until you hit your first snag. Customer support is only by chat. Chat takes hours to days and is canned responses that don’t ever seem to solve (or understand) the query. Several of the team had real struggles with something as basic as getting their expense cards setup.
Then the really crazy bit - account closed suddenly and without warning or explanation. We are as low risk and mainstream of a business as it gets. Can’t get through to anyone. Glad we only had this as a secondary account and kept our main business bank account with a high street bank. The utter lack of any customer empathy or customer service is truly unique to revolut.

Fast, beautiful, easy!

I used to wait 5 days (!!!) with my old bank for transfers to arrive. And the old fashioned, clunky UI of the online bank was slow and complex, no app on the phone...
Now I am with Revolut Business! OMG! I transfer same day, no fee! Foreign currency 💴 transactions complete automatically in the right currency, I see everything immediately on the app. Chat service answers any questions I have immediately, no music on the phone while I’m waiting for someone to serve me or minutes go by to validate my name and details... I am sooooo happy!

Complete waste of time in current form

What a complete waste of my time. Having used the personal revolut app which is good, I thought I would go through the arduous setup of the business app for my business. After testing the first top up which worked in the same way as the personal app, I thought I had a good solution. Now I discover that future top-ups require a manual bank transfer initiated from my main business account - what was supposed to be convenient is now a 2-step process. I made the transfer and started making a payment only to discover the next issue. I cannot add a beneficiary or counterparty. Apparently the functionality is “coming soon”. So now I’m stuck with funds in the revolut account which were meant to be paid to a third party. What a mess! Why launch an app that is incomplete? One star from me.
