What's New in Version 1.4.6

We are proud to provide you with a major update. Among various improvements regarding stability and performance, these are the new features:
APPLE CARPLAY
By very popular request, we have now enabled Roads by Porsche to be compatible with Apple CarPlay. Simply connect your phone with your CarPlay compatible vehicle and enjoy navigation, recording as well as road search on the big screen.
NEW ACTIVITY BUTTON
Enjoy quick access to the most important activities such as driving, bookmarking or commenting of roads.
COMMENT ON ALL ROADS
You can now comment and discuss on all available roads without the necessity to actually drive them.
ROAD RADAR
We have enriched the map view with our brand new "Road Radar": small red arrows indicate the closest nearby road in the respective direction. For (de)-activation click the icon on the top right
We are happy to receive feedback on the new functionalities.

Messy, hard to use in real world

The app has many interesting roads but it’s impossible to use. For example if you do not start a route exactly on the number 1, it keeps recalculating to bring you back. I remember that in previous version you could choose between the route starting point or the closest one. That feature is gone now. I really hope they will fix this because right now in unusable and frustrating. Thanks

No good if you live in the UK

The app thinks I’m in America. Yes I did select use location, which is the UK. 👎🏻

Very great idea and nice design

... but barely useful. It is hard to see all the available routes on the map. You cannot zoom out and see the whole route on the map, you can just navigate the route. It would be great to export a route into other navigation app such as waze or gmaps.

Why can’t you search by current location?

Would have thought that was the simplest functionality - find me a good driving road near where I am?

Not what I wanted (or expected)

I installed this app thinking it would give me some great roads to drive that I could load into the Navigation system in my 781 Cayman. There is no integration at all as far as I can tell. Very disappointing. The App’s navigation is displayed on the phone screen. Not much use as my phone sits in the purpose designed Cayman armrest tray. Ok, so perhaps it will come up on Apple Car Play. No, doesn’t do that either.
Porsche make one of the best handling cars in the world in the Cayman and the built-in Navigation only gives the fastest or shortest routes, then they launch and app with access to great driving roads that requires the phone to be visible. Hopeless! Someone at Porsche needs to get a grip on this technology!

Not currently as good as GTS app

Looks lovely but didn't show any UK routes.
Downloaded old Porsche GTS app which shows much more.
Has the potential to be really good but concern over some people putting utterly pants routes on

Where’s the map?

How can you have a location-based app that has no map or “sort by nearest to me” option? How can I see if there is a good route near me? Where are the alerts if you’re within x miles of a good route? Nice idea, seriously unusable interface - I won’t open it until this is fixed.

If there was ever an app that was made for me!

This is absolutely fantastic. So much functionality, beautiful design and all about driving pleasure..what more could you want being a driving enthusiast! I hope we all use this and build a big community of fantastic routes and great people. Bravo 👌🏽

Nice but no UK support

Great idea for car enthusiasts! But it doesn’t seems to show any roads in the UK and it seems to think my current location is in America, when it’s not.
