Do not download, wasting your time. If you do mention anything about any such grievances you have on their internal chats and mention things that are suspicious, they just shun you, mute you ability to chat and censor you in house on the application stating that you’re trolling or some stuff about patience 😩🤦♂️. They ask for personal info to then leave you in limbo for months on end without any explanation. It’s all just about data farming and if possible to pocket themselves as much advertising revenue as possible while not fulfilling their claims and mission statements.

I have been ‘mining’ pi for over two years, still no launch. Nothing. Not to mention I also, moronically, gave them a load of my personal details to sign up to the contributor thingy and since then I have received infinitely more scam calls and emails - I can’t say for certain it’s Pi network who are responsible but it coincides with the timing and I can’t imagine what else they’ve done with my information besides sell it to god knows where. I’m probably going to keep it to see how it pans out but I’m not mining any more and if you haven’t already I don’t recommend downloading the app at all, wasted loads of time and gained absolutely nothing.

This has been stuck for ages, and I’m starting to think there is no actual project and they’re just collecting revenue from ads and laughing their butts off at whoever is still clicking the button hoping to get rich off it one say. Reading a review by another person, it seems that the reason for the black screen or constant buffering, is that the app won’t work on WiFi. Which is unfortunate when you live in an area where there’s poor signal.

Very frustrating when Pi’s login system using Facebook fails. I have not been able to login for past few days. I think this is because Pi have switched their Facebook app for logging in to development mode and have not switched it back to live.
Impossible to login by mobile number or Apple ID as they both assume you are a new user.
Upshot is fully logged out until Pi fix the issue.

Since the change which stopped the app working on WiFi it has not been great. The last two weeks my wife and I have been unable to access it at all due to being unable to sync to the network. Even on 4g it does work and there does not seem to be anyway to access help to put it right.

Much complaint about bugs etc, actually works well mostly. The idea, to achieve wide distribution/ownership, including a large number of kyc’d accounts before even trading the thing, is very smart and likely to pay dividends in future. Pi max supply is now established at 100 billion (same as XRP) though the circulation will likely remain far lower.

App does what it needs too, except a recent update has made it impossible to load anything or start mining when connected to Wi-Fi!
You now have to turn Wi-Fi off and be only on cellular to use it, which is incredibly annoying, especially where I only get 3g at home so it’s a tad spotty!
Additionally, since this update that prevents Wi-Fi using the app, the node app on my PC also has stopped working just says “unable to sync with the Pi Network…” and retry does nothing!
Seems like they focus on the backend stuff and don’t properly test there software for usability!

Seems great. One thing I will say is since updating to iOS 15.2, I can only log in and sync over mobile network, not via wifi. If I try through wifi I get the dreaded white “can’t sync now screen”. Thankful I figured this out finally!!

Had it downloaded and mining for maybe a year now and it refuses to sign me in because of an “unexpected error”. there is previous reviews saying the same, convinced it works so you believe it isn’t a scam, makes you watch ads and mine but once it gets to a certain point just refuses to work. nothing said about it being down or anything on twitter or any form of social media either so until it’s fixed i’m considering this a scam and advise you to not install this

Finally managed to log back in after a couple days trying, only to now go back to the original “unable to sync” issue. 🙄

I have been a pioneer with this app since the beginning. It has been consistently the worst performing app on my iPhone, it constantly fails to launch the mining app, freezing the phone, only solution is to power off the phone and restart. It’s not the phone I have a new iPhone 13pro and this app is still failing. NON of the other apps have this constant failure. Pi has known about this for a very long time and failed to correct the bug.

Nothing more than a Ponzi scheme, 2 devs have disappeared with no proper explanation and the white paper doesn’t have any use case whatsoever. Advertisements (which is referred to as maintenance fees) on the app have now become a thing too which means someone is making a profit from all these people. Such a useless crypto that hasn’t got a road map set out and has not even been audited by any officials.

Claims to be a cryptocurrency app but this is basically just a chat app ran by moderators on a power trip. The moderators will ban and threaten do delete the account of anyone who has a different opinion or disagrees with them.
For example, I reported an issue to moderators where features were missing from the app, because they couldn’t help me they decided to not believe me and ban me for lying. I took screenshots for proof and sent in by email and they refuse to accept I was telling the truth so will not un ban me.
The whole set up is very unprofessional and it doesn’t feel like it’s worth the time to sign up for.

...is there any chance the option to “ping” someone (that isn’t actively earning) can be altered to something like every 4 hours? I’m having massive problems with people in my earning team just not turning theirs back on frequently - I’ve no idea if I’m catching them at a bad time each day but if I could ping them more frequently I hope it would help? Also occasionally one person will turn theirs back on after I’ve pinged them but another will go offline a short time later and I can’t ping them because I have to wait 16 hours...anyway just a suggestion

Okay so this app is really good and I haven’t experienced any bugs so far so I’m not sure why lots of people are saying that they’re any issue that needs to be fixed.
BUT I do have some tips for the creators!
At the beginning when you get the app you have to create an “account” and there’s multiple ways you can do so (phone number, Facebook, email) but when I try to grow my security circle I can only add users who have signed up with their phone number. This needs to be fixed or only give that option.

The idea of Picoin is great and it may be worth in the long time. However, the app at the moment is FULL of ad! This means founder and app authors are actually earning a quite consistent amount of money, while miners still wait for this cryptocurrency to be a reality - which might be a huge question mark. I hope authors will try to reduce ad, publish app revenues and expenses, publish a timeline for the picoin to be reality, be clear on people identity authentication and CLEAN the chat from spam and scam.

It has promise but the adverts are full screen and last for sixty seconds while being unskippable. This is not acceptable. No option to pay a fee to remove ads (which I would happily do). I hate ads. I do not look at adverts. I actively avoid ads and close/uninstall ad supported stuff. I have had enough of adverts.
Please please please add an option to be a small fee (say £1) to remove adverts!
The app claims they have been designed to minimise their impact. This is a lie. These are full screen 60 second unskippable adverts. The impact is huge!

The app is pretty poor. It crashes constantly and it’s as buggy as hell. It’s also not really a ‘currency’ at the moment because it has no value, you can’t buy anything with it, and you can’t trade it. All you can do at the moment is mine it, which would be fine if it didn’t take you several attempts just to get into the app. I’m going with it for now, because it costs me nothing and in the future, who knows. But if they want to be taken seriously they need to work on the performance issues. It still feels very much like a student project at this point.

This App couldn’t be easier, I believe a 6 year old can work it out that’s how easy it is. Download, set up, invite other people and off you go. Still in phase 2, so no money value but who knows in 5 years time. This is the right time to jump in don’t let this opportunity pass you by. No money involved, nothing to loose and everything to gain

I rarely leave reviews on apps. However, if you want to try a new and easy way to mine a cryptocurrency of the future, this is it. I’ve been mining for about 6 weeks now and it’s slow and steady, but really easy and takes 30 seconds out of your day to open the app and tap a button. It may not be worth very much when it launches, it could be worth pence or it could be worth a fortune. For a few seconds a day I’m giving it a go. If you’d like to try, you need a referral. Please use ‘mellor51’ as your referral, and we both earn extra currency that may just one day, earn some easy money.

I’ve just begun using the app and it’s a great way to get on board with a similar currency to Bitcoin and you only have to check into the app each day to earn pi. It’s a fledgling but has great opportunity, so it’s always good to get in early. You need a referral though. Use ‘catchbee’ to join.

As the title says it really is so easy to use. One press of a button every 24hrs and that’s it. There’s no extra pressure on my battery or slowing down of my phone. Here’s hoping that it really takes off as it is a great idea in principle. You need a referral name to get started on the app so this is mine if anyone wants to use it JoKerr73

Can see that they’re trying to build a user base and then launch. Might be worth a long term investment in time which is happy to do as its minuscule compared to the potential rewards and no financial outlay. App is in beta but seems to be getting developed still so good signs.

Sounds and looks amazing and I really hope it does become a new crypto currency that regular people can more readily get there hands on per say,but you get to 5 Pi and then it doesn’t work any longer ? It says some features are disabled due to high demand ? Lol I have a lot of people who I’ve signed up a lot of them are traders on the side as am I.forex and crypto traders. We’re regular people work 9-5’s and trade in our time we have left over. But this is a bit silly if Pi ever gets massive like bitcoin you cannot be crashing and bugging out like this ? Need to fix that issue 👍🏻 also why can I only get to a max of 5 Pi ?? In the coming weeks/months I’ll refer hundreds more people not all will sign up but I’d say around 50 more people I can easily sign up and nobody is going to want to keep this app and it’s currency if your lagging and bugging out all the time ? I’m going to write to the development team and send them my videos I have a pictures

First one I would say is the constant “an unexpected error occurred” this is highly annoying and it only happens when I try and ping my inactive members of my mining team...
Secondly Which is my last point- you say you fixed some bugs in the chat rooms... well there still there mate sometimes messages don’t send yet it asks you to check if it’s sent or not ? What is that about.
I will be checking back for a reply to this review.

This app is so easy to use all you have to do is login once a day, you don’t have any risks at all there is no money at all being spent, if you have 10 seconds of your day free just do it because if this currency does get popular the more people join and use it the less you will be able to mine but it will be worth more as an actual currency so definitely start mining now

Can you please get rid of the announcement which is saying “dowload on your computer from...” because it covers half of the screen and it is frankly annoying. Or change the way to announce new stuff because there is no option to acknowledge it and skip it. Other than that I’m happy with the app so far. Thanks
