A couple of bugs make it annoying to use!

This app is so buggy! It’s generally pretty slick, but there have been a couple of major issues that make it unusable! It’s generally a great app, great service and great product selection, but please be more on top of the bugs!
1. There’s an ongoing issue when scrolling though products. It jumps, then freezes, and then the same 2/3 products repeat down the line. You shut down the app and try again, but it doesn’t help. I’d be less annoyed if it was across the whole app, but it’s often just across 1-2 product lines, which probably means devs don’t pick up on it quickly.
2. A while ago there was a major payment issue, which meant you couldn’t complete purchase. They then fixed the issue but I think many people, myself included, were never able to complete payment again on their original
Account. I had to create a brand new account with a different email address, and that’s annoying.

This app is honestly a godsend. It has a great range of products, namely M&S stuff which I love. The prices are okay, some may say M&S is a bit expensive but I think it’s worth it for the quality. Groceries can be delivered in as little as one hour. They always have offers on and I’ve been emailed quite a few discount codes which is great.
The only annoying thing is it often has items which are out of stock (in my area anyway, this may not be the case for everyone).
Prior to using Zoom, if I wanted groceries the same day I had to order with Deliveroo - who have overpriced stuff and add on a load of service charges.
Since downloading zoom, I haven’t used any other app to have stuff delivered. 5 stars from me 🙆🏻‍♀️

I only placed an order because of a discount code and thought it was would be fine due to previous positive experiences with Ocado. I would say that Ocado are the best online food delivery service I’ve had before, but Zoom is the worst. The food was meant to arrive within 60 minutes - it had not arrived after 2 hours. The app said it was on it’s way do an extremely long time, but when I went on the live chat I was told this was not the case. Cancelled the order as there was no guarantee the food would arrive. Very perplexed about how Ocado could be responsible for such appalling service when their standard delivery service is the best.

First of all, this is a review of the app itself, not the service; I’ve been pretty happy with Ocado Zoom whenever I’ve used with the main complaint being that some products in the range appear to be permanently listed as out of stock.
Now, on to the app. The main issue with this app is that it is locked to portrait mode even though it’s an iPad app and iPads are increasingly bought with keyboard+trackpad cases and used in landscape mode. This shouldn’t be too hard to fix given that the app is essentially a browser wrapped in a yellow/pink outer shell.
Logging in was also tricky, I had trouble getting it to trigger my password manager and had to switch to the password manager app to copy and paste (which would’ve been infinitely easier in landscape mode, side by side but no, can’t have that…)
Please show this app some TLC as it’s a shame to have it hinder an otherwise good experience.

My first two deliveries were perfect. However I had two transactions cancelled at the last minute due to lack of couriers. This was extremely inconvenient and meant we had to eat takeaway for two nights in a row and had run out of all essentials.
I’m not sure how this happens, as for several hours I had the message that they were preparing my order, then delayed, then cancelled. Please don’t accept the order if you can’t fullfi.

I never ever leave reviews, but this just shows how disappointed Ocado has left me feeling. To be fair it’s the first time i had a bad incident with them, but my issue is the way they handled it. I placed an order worth £18.39 and it happened to be on my son’s birthday, i bought ingredients that i wanted to put together to make a dish for 6:30pm. The order was supposed to arrive between 3-4pm. (Like i said, i always found Ocado reliable in that sense) but to my luck it did arrive, however it was someone else's order, wrong address and name on it. Fine, not the end of the world, i called Ocado, they said they will arrange another delivery for me, though some of the products were no longer available so i had to settle for alternative ones. Again, no problem, I understand mistakes can happen. Then i was told the earliest slot would’ve been 8-9pm. I wanted the products earlier, therefore i had to cancel the whole order together as there was no point for them to arrive that late, so one can only imagine the inconvenience it has caused. I was expecting Ocado to send out my order urgently, by finding me a priority slot or something, however i was told there’s nothing they could do about it, but give me a voucher while i also get a refund. Yes the items were obviously refunded since i paid for something I didn’t receive, however the voucher i got is £7. Minimum order required is £15, this did not make up for the inconvenience they have caused. When i did email them, they said £7 is the maximum they can give. I replied telling them how i find it unfair, as that would force me to spend out of my pocket, the appropriate thing would have been is giving me a £15 voucher which is still less than what I originally ordered but at least it wouldn’t require me to spend out of my pocket again. I did not receive a response, like i said I understand mistakes do occur unfortunately, but it’s the way they tried to resolve it that i find totally unacceptable. I will never go with Ocado again, and i will make sure i will warn everybody else that i know, that if they do mess up the order, they don’t go out of their way to make you a satisfied customer again. I worked in Harrods and i know what 100% customer service is, and this definitely wasn’t.

I love acado but there are never enough time slot windows. From putting in my shopping list at 12.30 -12-45 (15 minutes) and having the window available at 1.45 it jumped to 6.45.

All very slick minus a couple of clunky bits!
1) Slight pet peeve but when delete something in a search bar, it makes sense to land the cursor back in the empty search box as when people delete text there, it’s quite likely they want to search something else. Here you have to double-tap.
2) Had an error with my payment, instead of just dumping my order back into the basket for me to check payment details and pay again, the system registers as though the order was placed so you have to start all over again adding to the basket from scratch! Not great in terms of customer journey when you think about the in-store equivalent (“I’m sorry sir that didn’t go through, let me confiscate your shopping and send you back to the entrance to start again”).

We are very happy with the service, it was a lifesaver during lockdown and we have been using it regularly since. We like the fact that the food comes in paper rather than plastic bags. However, I think that sometime there is still unnecessary use of plastic, for instance when aubergines and similar vegetables are individually wrapped. I would also like that fish and meat would be packed separately from ready to eat food. We had two accidents with fish and chicken leaking into the bag and, as a result, we had to dispose of strawberries and bread that were contaminated by the juices. For this reason I rarely buy fresh meat and fish because I am worried of similar accidents happening again.

My first email said the order was on its way.
My second email an hour later said the order was running late, in the app I could see it was late, but only 14 min away. No problem, it’s raining, there’s traffic.
My third email says my order is cancelled. Upon phoning the customer services team, I am informed there’s nothing they can do, nor can they arrange redelivery. Even tomorrow. Bad service, but if there’s no drivers, fair enough.
My fourth email tells me I will be charged for the perishable items and the delivery fee. Oh, and I’ll get a £5 voucher to use next time. Next time? You gotta be kidding.
I’m a reasonable guy, but I draw the line at blatant theft, and I will be making a formal complaint.

You may be lucky like others and your order will arrive as expected, but at some point things will be missing.
In my case I received only 8 items out of the 42 I ordered!! Not a small mistake, but I thought their might be some misunderstanding and contacted support. After numerous calls and emails they only came back to me 3 days later and said they’re unable to offer a refund as they think they delivered everything.
That is absolutely unacceptable! I spent £70 and didn’t receive most of my items! What kind of service is this?!
They basically have no control and visibility on what gets delivered. very shady business !

This app has been a life saver for me and my family during the lockdown.. I am unable to go out due to a succession of chest infections, and this is the only place that I have been able to get a delivery from.... it is over priced on some items as you don’t get most offers (like 3 x meat for £10) that are usually in the shop, but packaging does state it... also lots of bit are sold out, but as it stands, at least I have been able to get a delivery.

I probably use this three or four times a week. It’s so useful for getting bits you need for the day/weekend. I’ve used it at parties when we have been running low on alcohol; when I’m cooking and have forgotten ingredients; or just when I want something specific for dinner/breakfast. It usually comes well within the hour, sometimes as fast as 20 minutes and I’m willing to pay £2.50 delivery to have that time back. I’d really like the app to have the functionality for me and my husband to add items to the basket on separate apps please.

I’m cooking Sunday brunch... and suddenly realise something is missing... within 1 hour the fresh ingredients are in my kitchen. All the products I used to buy with Ocado and had to choose a delivery slot 2 days in the future are now delivered within the hour. For the bargain of £1.99 no queuing, no waiting, no dragging items home. I could not be happier. And the goods come in paper bags, so I can easily recycle.
