Love my Morrisons delivery

Since recently returning to having my groceries delivered by Morrisons I have been more than satisfied with the quality of Morrison’s brand foods. The meat including cooked meats are butcher’s quality at reasonable prices and the fruit and vegetables remain fresh for the full week. A £5 per month delivery pass covers me for free midweek deliveries and considering I was grocery shopping midweek this delivery service makes life much easier. For someone of advanced age who struggles to care heavy bags I can 100% recommend this service.

Can’t log in as a new customer

I’m a new customer to Morrisons and downloaded the app to get started, but I can’t log in at all. When I tap the login button, nothing happens, no error message, no loading, nothing.
I’ve tried reinstalling the app and checking my details, but the problem is still there. Not a great first impression, and it completely stops new customers from using the app. Please fix this.

Best shopping app

I love seeing my shopping basket in grid form, not scrolling down lists.
Also the best security - I have had other hacking on supermarket apps, Morrisons had the best double security questions and emails to prevent hacking and changing passwords

Quick and easy

I’ve started to use online shopping via the app as it’s so quick and there’s always a delivery slot the next day. The delivery drivers bring the shopping in and help me unpack (as requested), so I couldn’t ask for more.
The only irritating thing about the app is that upon checking out, there are four further screens to get through that ask ‘are you sure you haven’t forgotten anything?’ There are lists of various items to tempt you to add; one I could accept, but four?!

Up until recently, the app was very accessible for screen reader uses utilising VoiceOver on the iPhone.
There are issues in announcing the number of items currently selected in the basket.
Please fix… This App up until recently, has been very accessible for blind and visually impaired users.

Missing features

App does not allow you to add picking instructions such as how ripe you want your fruit to be, or whether to substitute the item if unavailable. Typically leading to poor substitutes being offered. Different cost per weight figures make it hard to compare as the weight measurement (iris per kg, per g) etc often vary. Yes maths can resolve but doesn’t make it “at a glance” easy. When you update an order items are suddenly unavailable which is incredibly frustrating!

It is trivial to ensure that any App is compatible with previous operating systems…planned obsolescence means that the Morrisons App can only be operated on device which have an OS >=16. We suggest that your coding developers rely on basic testing protocols - and not to ensure that customers have a more advanced system than required.

Not good value for money

3 main items from my order have been cancelled and I’ve still been charged the full delivery amount. The driver even happily suggested that I can order missing items again tomorrow. No, thank you. Your delivery cost are very high comparing to other providers (Waitrose charges £4, zoom - £4.99 for the delivery within 60 minutes). Super unhappy with this service.

Getting Better

Morrisons seem to be getting better with the products ordered quality.
We used to experience poor quality food sometimes with very short use by date (4hrs).
We have had one delivery over 24 hrs late with just a £5 in reward points as a sorry and that was only after having to ask…It was like it never happed attitude.
So no Dinner for us or our guest that day.

Shocked with lack of available products

Hardly an ice cream cone available every flavour of cornetto I tried for was “out of stock” and “no alternatives”. The same for frozen vegetables. Unless there has been a huge breakdown of all of your freezer units then it’s just a disgrace.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Drivers are so careless and the support team also pretend to not know anything.
My order was scheduled for October 14th 2025 8-9pm slot and the app says my order has been delivered but I haven’t gotten the order. Me and my partner have been waiting for it and got nothing.
We tried calling the support and they said “we can’t get in touch with the delivery driver”. You can’t even get in touch with your own employees? Shame on you!
We wasted our time staying up for a response and got nothing. Spent close to a £100 and don’t even know if we’ll get a refund or our groceries. Never ordering from Morrisons again.

Missing items

Deliveries are normally very good but it’s annoying when the day of delivery an email arrives telling you that items are missing or substituted for items you don’t really want.
If there is the likelihood that an item will be sold out we shouldn’t be able to order the item.

I could have my shopping done in half an hour. It’s taken me one hour 30 minutes to add five items to my list so I gave up. I loved your old app and couldn’t see why you changed it. I’m 81 years old and don’t do “tech” so it was easy to do a shop on line because I’m not always well enough to go to the shop. I’ve run out a load of things so now I’m going to have to go out tomorrow to do my shopping. I’ll give your new app one more go in a couple of weeks and if I find it as difficult again i shall give up and move over to Tesco

The app effectively stole money from my bank account

I authorised one payment of £125 for my shopping. A massive £25 of goods were not available (typical Morrisons) so my bank account was debited the correct amount of £100. A second unauthorised payment pending for the original £125 then appeared on my account, meaning I could not access these funds! As usual, emails to customer service were completely ignored (they have NEVER responded to emails). When I called, I was told there was ‘nothing we can do because it’s a glitch with the app’! A glitch that illegally allows Morrisons to dip into your bank account, totally unauthorised, at will! They could not tell me when this would be corrected but, eventually three days later, the access to my funds came back when the pending payment was finally cancelled.
The app clearly is not fit for purpose. Avoid at all costs.

Receiving goods

I find it difficult now that the goods are delivered in a tray placed on my doorstep. I am quite elderly and find it difficult to transfer goods to bags. I know the world us trying to stop the use of plastic bags but these were returned to store.
I ordered a dozen bottles of wine this week and they were delivered loose. I know you used to supply cardboard carriers for six bottles - why can’t these be used to make it easier to move the bottles. I now think it’s harder to have goods delivered than to go and shop myself.

Very complicated system until you learn your way around!

Very comprehensive facility, giving you full access to the whole shopping experience. Just don’t make a mistake and use wrong ‘back button’ or you’ll get lost and have to go to beginning to get going again! Full availability of whole shop stock, but not listed or grouped in any specific order. User guidance/explanation for More Card procedure and buying 2/3/4 to get deal price would come in handy.
All in all a pleasant and relaxing shopping ‘trip’. Very easy to overspend if you don’t watch total running up in top right-hand corner!

Very different

Getting used to it. Graphically much better but I don’t think it is as user friendly as the old app. Your most recent order shows on the Home Screen, however any future orders you have placed are tucked away under the “More” heading which wasn’t that clear at first.
For some reason I seem to add double items to my order since the new version was released. I can’t fathom out how I manage it and it never happened on the old App.

Online shopping

Love browsing the Morrisons app to do my online shopping as it is easy to navigate. One of the things I like about it is that you usually find out what isn’t in stock before you check out so you get an opportunity to choose an alternative ( unlike Asda where you don’t find out what has sold out until you read your online receipt!) I do like to shop around the other online shopping apps so I don’t order from Morrisons every week as there is some items I can buy from the other supermarkets that Morrisons don’t sell such as pure pomegranate juice which I buy every week so it means that if I do a Morrisons shop I then have to go to Asda or Tesco to buy it.

Worse than the old app

I’m not getting on well with this (now not so) new app. Was hoping I’d get used to it but after many months the same issues are still bugging me. In particular, the “search” function seems vastly inferior to the earlier version. Ok so ads have been inserted, which is annoying but understandable - but beyond those, there seems to be a very poor ability to rank products by relevance and prior purchase. It’s hard to quantify but the old app was FAR better at it. In addition, why are items already in my bag not shown at the top of the list as they used to be? I often do my online shop in several batches and forget what have and haven’t yet added. Let’s say I want to check if I put eggs in already. Rather than hunt through my basket visually, it SHOULD BE quicker just search “eggs” and see if I’ve added them. But if I do this, I get a whole list of products and the item that is actually in my basket is waaaaaay down that list. It should be at the top (and used to be). I have on multiple occasions purchased duplicates because of this. Surely this is an easy fix.

Online shopping

We like our wine and we like to keep our stock up to date. We are unable to carry heavy items such as washing liquids, tinned goods, vegetables and bottles as my husband is 87 and I am 75 so decided we needed to have a delivery each week to make it a lot easier for ourselves. However now we cannot order the wine we like as it is restricted. Is this a permanent change?

Not a patch on the previous version

I only use this app cos I have to as I shop online at Morrisons. This updated version doesn’t show what unit price you are actually paying on multi buy items, doesn’t show which slots you already have got booked when booking another slot. It’s all too big so you have to scroll down more. There is no longer the barcode search. Access to your lists isn’t as easy and the alternatives suggested for items that are out of stock are bizarre and quite often totally irrelevant.
You can’t see if the offer has been applied until you get the email confirmation to see what price you are being charged.

Disappointed with the app

Usually when an app is improved you have more functionality not less. Now I can no longer print the receipt from the app which was very useful instead of having to go to the email. Though not specific to the app the new receipt format is awful. I loved the original layout but now it looks like the Sainsbury’s receipt which I have always hated. I think also not being able to see the receipt until the delivery has arrived is a step back. I buy food for my 90 year old mother and so have always been able to sort out what she owes in the morning but now have to wait.
Finally the app is not appearing under notifications and so I am not able to get notifications of when I am the next delivery and when they are unpacking. Not sure if this me but I hope you have not removed this notification as it is very useful.
I also can’t understand why the “new” category has disappeared as this was great to see and buy something new and different.

Changed payment verification rules making it LESS easy to use.. backwards

New web and app making more steps in the payment process making more steps to complete an order. Created an extra barrier to checkout.
Now enforcing an additional 3DS payment verification / challenge even when the order value is REDUCED whereas previously (old app and web) would not redirect to bank verification if the order value was reduced. This makes more steps in the order finalisation process which is just harder and will lead to more basket abandonment. Poorly thought through and clearly not tested by actual users.
Also created even more scrolling when checking out - offering even more random items to try and increase basket value… more friction in the checkout process. Items suggested aren’t even relevant / are stupid, like offering you more apples when you already have apples in basket, or offering a bag of peppers when you already have peppers in your basket 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😂.
Seems to be very few useful functional changes, just visual changes and changes which make it more difficult to complete an order.

No proper receipt

I found this app confusing, but I imagine I could get used to it eventually. My complaint is why isn’t there a proper itemised pdf receipt as there was in the previous app. The pdf doesn’t have enough information on it. The app shows me what I bought but some weren’t showing the offer that they were on at the time I ordered them. I had to go through everything single item. The amount was correct but If possible a detailed receipt like the one in the previous App would be very helpful

Bring back the White App

I used the old White app every single day, and receive an online delivery every week. It was this brilliant and user friendly app that has kept me with Morrisons for 10+ years.
This new app is a disaster. As others have said, it is very hard to see what you have in your trolley with the little tiny icons and lack of logical ordering. But my biggest gripe is the way I now have to wade past a load of ads to get to my favourites, or even what I’d actually want to buy, after searching for a product. This feels more like an ad platform than a useful shopping app, and couldn’t be less tailored to my own habits.
This impression is reinforced by the general look and design, where I feel like I’m being screamed at as opposed to the calming simple interface of the previous app. Really hope Morrisons will change this.

Rubbish upgrade

I was prompted to upgrade the app this week. How I wish I hadn’t bothered as I now can’t get back into the old one.
1. You can’t see your booked orders on the Home Screen.
2. Your shopping lists are in one long column, with no reason to the order, which was always a problem, but at least you could se more than two or three items at a time. It takes so long to scroll down the list now, it’s awful.
3. When you go into the schedule to book future deliveries it doesn’t block out the days that you’ve previously booked. I nearly booked a second delivery for the same day because I didn’t realise.
I’m sure there are more, but after only two days of using this app I’m already fed up!

Horrendous!

I am no fan of the previous Morrisons app but whoever designed this version has absolutely no understanding of what a user needs from an app. It is a virtual copy of the website which is simply not user friendly or even useable as a phone app!! I shop twice a week for online deliveries and it is so bad I am thinking of moving to another supermarket! It has no products bought recently list, has a ‘new’ list of favourites that includes things I haven’t bought for months but does not include the bread I buy in EVERY shop! You can’t select to view the trolley from the bottom of the screen, the trolley itself is not divided into sections so fridge and freezer products cannot easily be viewed. The icons are way too large after you search (but tiny in your trolley!!) and favourites are not included at the top so you have to endless scrolling to find anything! You can’t view the deliveries you have booked from the home page so I can’t easily shop for upcoming orders and it reverts to store collection when you try to book and there is no way to delete. I ended up booking a collection 300 miles away from home!! MORRISONS PAY ATTENTION AND CHANGE THIS APP NOW!!!

Horrible update

After the recent update for my account to the website and app, I could no longer log in to either. Got an email to inform update complete but took a day longer than stated before I could actually log in.
The new layout is horrible as it no longer sorts your favourites by category. Adding regularly bought items now takes way longer as you have to do a lot of scrolling to find the ones you want, especially as the pictures takes up a lot of screen space

Upgrade pah! Downgrade more like

According to Morrison's email I've just been "upgraded" from the white to the green app. The white app was great (no coincidence that it was operationally identical to Ocado who really do lead the field in online delivery). The new green app is clunky and dated. It no longer synchronises with my digital calendar. The "offers on my favourites" tab has disappeared. Everything on the screen display massive, now it only displays 2.5 products on the iPhone screen at once (used to be 5) so you get RSI scrolling down. The old app used to display all your booked orders on the Home Screen, now that's burried deep in app, replaced by lots of inappropriate products recommendations nearly all ultra processed food and an absolutely rubbish selection of "feed your family on mince and rice recipes". I've just stopped the auto-renewal on my delivery pass after around 7 years of loyal custom, it really is that rubbish

New app fine

The old app was withdrawn a couple of days ago (white background logo) so started using the new app with the green logo.
Seems very similar, no bugs, faults or problems.
Navigation by search and categories is mostly strong.
I like that Morrisons makes it really easy to see every item of product detail like the nutrients, ingredients, location of production, manufacture address. I’m weird and I need to know those things. Most other supermarkets make finding that clunky or they don’t provide it at all.
One thing that would be good is if “condensed view” is available again. Everything is so big now I can only see 4 products on screen at once, whereas I used to be able to see 6; which made product comparison easier. Can I have 6 again please?
Note: if you don’t get all you product images loading, don’t worry they’ll suddenly appear after a couple of mins and behave after that

Terrible update

The old app and websitte looked good and worked like a dream. Just did what I wanted an allowed me to order my groceries.
The new site looks terrible compared to the old one.
The new app will not let me log in and just says failed due to inactivity, even though it is about one second between typing my details in and clicking login. It also has one of those horrid click a picture logins. When authenticator apps exist why use those infuriating picture things that never like what you click.
I can sign in through the website but not the app. Both are horrid to look at compared to the previous versions. The app is terrible and is not ready yet as it does not work. If you want me to shop elsewhere fine I will.

So much better

Adding the one click, merge basket to order when editing and the nice clean simple layout really works for me. There are now a lot less bank checks too, all of which are a huge relief as it was getting to be hard work to find an order, edit it, add items, go through all the check out and do the bank approval time after time. So thank you for making adding forgotten items so much easier.
Everything else has stayed the same, easy to find things, read and write reviews and generally now a nice app to use.

Horrendous…

Welcome to the new app… well within 5 mins of the new app since the overnight changes, my shopping order basket was lost. I went to edit my order it merged (not clear - thought it said confirm to edit order) then tried to cancel edit (which has been always an option forever) and now I have no delivery this week. I can’t even find my other 3 booked deliveries so guessing they’ve been deleted. The app isn’t user friendly like the other app, it’s clunky, not clear, not as easy to navigate. I don’t have time for this with my shifts.
That’s me done after more than two decades of Morrisons being my primary…. I will now change.

Morrison’s Green App back in the Stone Age!

Switched to the Morrisons Green App yesterday and lost nearly all of my saved shopping lists! Trolley layout is poor as many users have commented. Tried to go into amend an order tonight (21st August) and every time I try to amend a quantity it just resets to the previous quantity! I rang Morrison’s Customer Service who said they were aware of some technical difficulties and that the answer was to clear your cookies and cache and to leave it for an hour!! 2 hours later, the App still isn’t working!!! The old App worked perfectly, why change to a poorly designed and obviously not tested App? Bring back the White App while you sort this piece of junk out please.

Poor version of the better App

This App is horrible to use and not as user friendly as the other Morrisons App (the white background). Not sure why Morrisons has forced the move onto this App. I have lost a lot of my shopping lists and there is a restriction on how many you can have on this App (the green background). It’s a more cumbersome App and lacks the ease of use as the white background App and makes shopping online more of a chore.

2 years on from the whining reviewers

It is fine..I worked on software development and the programmers have done a good job. The profile and account details, Password access could do with a bit more of a polish logically and for those that like to log out make it easier to find.
I like the default option of knowing your usual purchase and starting to fill your basket . Just quickly click the minus to get rid .
It knows better than me usually then at checkout knows some more you have bought before or offers if you buy 2 .

Problems since last update

App updated on the 18th and cannot checkout since. Keep getting message to say somethings wrong and try later. I’m an experienced App user and have tried everything to correct it. Login/out/passwords/cards to no avail. My phone and network are fine. Contact Centre is not convincing in attempts to fix and told me yesterday evening lots of users experiencing same problem.

Still has issues

I often find I can’t start an order as the system isn’t working properly, or it will freeze out when I’m trying to put the payments through.
It is also very confusing having three systems available. Surely you can make one app to fit all.
When items aren’t available surely it should be replaced with a similar product not something entirely different or as has happened something I’ve already got in the order

Missing ordered items

Too many times the items I have ordered are not in stock. Surely a company of this size; that provides home delivery; can afford a system and staff to keep check of the stock they advertise as being in or out of stock before anyone tries to place an order! better to run a minute by minute predicted stock level supervised by a professional order department than frustrate their customers and in fact end up encouraging them to look or try else where!

Money saver

I love shopping online with Morrisons, especially when they give you money off vouchers and it’s so easy to do for click and collect, that’s as long as you can drive that is, you just park in the bay, when you get to Morrisons, let them know you are there and give them the last three digits of your vehicle reg, job done, couple of minutes they arrive with your groceries and put them in the boot, you don’t even get out of the car.

Online ordering failures

For the last 7 days my repeated attempts to place online orders for home delivery failed. The message - Something went wrong - please try later was repeated Turning to the online help was NO HELP so tried emailing but form email system was not working. So made the first telephone call to be told my problem would be referred to colleagues. Called again this morning and spoke to someone who agreed to look into my account and then advised a solution. Delete cookies !!!!!! This actually worked !!!!! After previously updating payment method, deleting the app and repeatedly TRYING AGAIN LATER to no avail this actually worked SO PLEASE get this advice on your web page so that lots of other customers are not driven to distraction or to the COMPETITION

Delivery

We’ve been having delivery’s , But the range of items on a monday is so bad . No kids Morrisons crisps for weeks now . Only the salty ones The shop doesn’t seem to want to sell you what you want only the items they cannot be bothers to stock up on . Also we are waiting for money back as a lot of our items were swimming in milk Mondays delivery . And driver said he would not charge us . So far no money back in the account come on Morrison pull your soaks up you used to be better than this all so like to know why my delivery at home is not included in the last four weeks of the £750 pound Easter money off offer weed get more service if we went to tescos . Package dates,

Looking to this online shopping & must say bit reluctant to start online shopping as when shopping @ a nearby Morrisons store I noticed store employee doing I presume online shopping orders, they were picking the first product on the meat shelf they were after, I did go & look @ the use by date on the product they had picked & it only covered the next 2days, as a singleton use by dates are important as short use by dates make perishable items expensive with short dates as end up binning stuff as it’s started going off, (reason I don’t shop @ Aldi, Lidl) any singletons have experience with short use by dates being delivered when online shopping @ Morrisons?

Ok, but could be much slicker

Having used other supermarkets online ordering via their website, Morrison’s isn’t quite up to speed.
Two things annoy me in particular.
The first is you can’t go directly to “offers” , this is possibly deliberate but other supermarkets have this option.
Secondly, if you are searching for a product and misspell even slightly, no results are found and you have to type again. Also, the search results are sometimes not comprehensive.
Cmon Morrison’s, catch up technologically with the others and provide a better user experience.

Just doesn’t work!

After ordering through the website on previous occasions, I thought that using the app may be more convenient in the long run… well! How wrong could I possibly be.
Initially I logged in and created my order, which took about an hour whilst checking round the house to ensure I had everything. Then the app crashed and I had to start again… needless to say that required another hour of running round to remind myself what I had ordered. Only for me to get to the checkout stage… and be told that delivery for my area doesn’t yet take place…! So, another 30 minutes of back and forth between the website and app to try to get my address (that’s saved in my Morrison’s acc details) to work. As I have previously had a number of deliveries, this is clearly an app glitch. Which now leaves me with an order on the App that I can’t complete (as it won’t accept my address) a slot booked online (with no order attached), and a call to the ‘Help’ number which didn’t even offer an option to talk to someone from app support 🙈. Disappointed is an understatement… Thank you for wasting 2 and a half hours of my Friday morning. Avoid this App… it’s shocking.

Not too bad!

Once I got logged in to my account(again)after an update, it had wiped all my favourites off, very annoying, I had to try and remember what my weekly shop was and add them all back on again!
My main issue is that there's no choice for
'Subsitutes' whether you want to choose a substitute or not...I'm gluten free and if I've chosen the items I'd like to buy, all GF, I get the next nearest substitute which more often than not is not a gluten free item..Sort It Out Morrison's!
Not very considerate by way of looking after your customers that spend a fair few quid every week!
Also why is the delivery for a single weekly shop SO expensive?? I've just bought a yearly delivery pass for £35, because I can't do my shopping in store I decided it would work out far cheaper than paying for an odd weekly fee that could possibly be £6.50!!

It’s still awful

I tried last year with the app (and confusingly I then had to download and log into a different app because I don’t live in England?? Err what??). So once I’d gotten over that (and believe me it took some time), I had a go at trying to order my shopping, it didn’t work so I gave up. Fastforward 6 months and I try again, so I’m thinking hmmm it doesn’t look that bad (ignoring the fact that the default display is tiny), but then I come to use it and oh dear it’s even worse than I remember. It’s awful to use - I add things to my basket but the total cost of my basket remains steadfastly on £0, why does that mean? It doesn’t let me book a slot for click and collect or delivery, doesn’t tell me why and yet the apps seems to suggest there is availability. Anyway my main point is that I want to order online to save time (I’m guessing that maybe a few other people are hoping to do the same), but it totally fails on..sorry to the people who built it, but I cannot get it work :(

Utter Crap

This app has to be the worst grocery app available. Whoever is responsible for developing and maintaining it should be given notice.
The item pictures don’t load. Half the items aren’t available and I no longer get email notifications or order receipts. This is irritating and leads to not knowing what’s coming, been substituted or missing. Not acceptable. Customer services leaves a lot to be desired. Not very helpful with plenty attitude. Comes across as all to much trouble.

Poor user experience - needs improvement

A user needs to ‘see’ what’s in their basket or on the shelf. A list of words takes far longer to read through.
Want to see what’s in your basket - nope just a list with a space for the picture.
Searching for something, then scroll through lines of text, not an image in sight.
Keep this up and customers will go to your competitors who have all this sorted.
This is the basics of what is expected from an online experience. How have you allowed this app to be released in this state?

If you manage to log in (you’ll need a keen eye to pick out lampposts and palm trees to outwit the Chachpha) don’t think your efforts will be rewarded. It just gets worse. Select an option with 47 items listed - NOTHING to see here. Have a look at the recipe boxes- nope- nothing here either.
If you do manage to add enough items to check out without smashing your phone- you’ll then realise you have to download an equally poor app for the “Rewards” points.
Again after picking out fire hydrants and crosswalks and endless blurry images - you’ll be disappointed with that basic looking and dull app too.
How, in this world of online shopping have they got it so wrong? What moron agreed it was to be the portal which they would fly their online flag from ? Fire them. Fire them and banish them from having any involvement in online shopping ever again . It’s not like online shopping and supermarket online shopping is a new thing- there’s lots doing it so well - I can’t wait to see what state my first batch of shopping is like when (if) it comes tomorrow - if the app is anything to go by it won’t be what I wanted- it’ll end up being a pile of fish heads which is only accessible by completing a crossword in Arabic. Sort it out - old Ken Morrison will be turning in his grave.

Rubbish

I used to shop in Morrison’s regularly and now doing click and collect as I’m heavily pregnant and trying to shield from Covid. The search function on this app is rubbish - items often don’t appear in a logical order or at all and it doesn’t come up with loads of items that I know you sell! Every time I order it then tells me basic items will be out of stock - the last two times it’s told me that they wouldn’t have any milk the following day! Really?! Totally defeats the object of doing click and collect as I have to go into the shop anyway to buy the things you apparently haven’t got! I give up, will be switching to another supermarket because this app is unworkable.

Would be zero stars

What a car crash of an app and Morrisons in general since it moved to picking items in store. Usually start my order well in advance but huge quantities of items showing out of stock (how do they know they’ll be out of stock of bread, ketchup, crisps to name a few 7 days in advance?). No quick add function anymore meaning you have to edit every time you forget or need to add an item, app regularly crashes at the payment stage, deliveries 24 hrs late, huge quantities of missing items or substitutes and don’t get me started on the carrier bags!! Let’s not blame covid Morrisons because your previous set up was working perfectly fine until the relationship with Ocado ended and you launched a new app!!

Surprised by low rating, it works fine

I was surprised when I saw the low ratings for this application so I felt compelled to leave a review. We use the app on an almost weekly basis to use the excellent click and collect service from our local store which was launched during the lockdown. It works really well, and we’ve never had any problems ordering the groceries we need or securing the timeslots that we want. Occasionally we’ve had a few problems with them picking the wrong thing from the store, but this isn’t a problem with the app rather than service. Morrison’s have always corrected these errors by refunding. The only real problem we’ve had with the app really is occasionally it shows items out of stock, which by visiting in the store we know are actually in stock. Which is mildly frustrating, but you can usually work around it easily enough. For the convenience it offers, I think it’s an excellent option to have.

No merge or one-click option

Could the app developers please look to add the features back in that made online shopping with Morrison’s such a breeze previously.
Since moving to local-store pick and delivery, I’ve had to use this app or the online grocery ordering service.
Neither offer an ‘add to existing order’ option or one click service. So once I’ve checked out, and I have further things to add to my order during the week, I have to edit and check out every time. It might not sound like such a big deal but previously I could just continue to add to basket and once near my edit date, I could ‘merge’ my basket upon editing.
Now it doesn’t give me that option at all. Not a fan at all and if the app doesn’t get updated I will look to shop elsewhere as I can’t be bothered to edit and checkout every time I think to add to my order.

Dreadful!!

This app is NOT suitable for iPad!! Will only show in portrait mode. Trying to check things in your trolley is a nightmare. The old app had items in categories - Fruit, Veg, Drinks, Cupboard etc. Now they are all over the place, very hard to check things. More items are substituted now than previous. Why is it when you put items in your trolley they are in stock and then just before your delivery you are notified they are not!! When you are relying on certain items arriving then they don’t it is very frustrating. It defeats the whole object of having a delivery...then having to go out to replace missing items!! Just wish I hadn’t renewed my delivery pass!! Definitely not recommend this new app.

This is a disaster of an App ......

I think this m latest version was launched before it was finished - it’s absolutely dreadful. If I’m placing an order a week in advance it tells me virtually every item in my Favourites is out of stock - now that the deliveries are being picked in store does that mean that in my local store today there are virtually no vegetables or basic items? How do they know these items are out of stock in 7 days time? Eg water, brocolli, tangerines etc?? Also, since the items have been picked in store rather than distribution centre, all the fresh items only have one or two days before their sell by date.
The whole service is dreadful and I also notice there are no longer any reviews for all the products.
I’ve just struggled to get £40 minimum order as so many of my regular items are “out of stock” ...... eggs, even!
The only good thing is that there are plenty of slots available to book ... there will be even more when everyone deserts Morrison’s online shopping 😡

If I could give a Zero star

Due to the covid-19 everyone panic buy and everyone been told try to do delivery or any online shopping, we’ve tried hundred times to squeeze a slot for click and collect at cleethorpes store. On the day of confirmation we realised they will automatically substituted stuff for you and nothing you expected or wanted. No options on website or app for NO substitutes when you make your order...so end up you’ll received something you don’t want and paid higher price because they don’t care about hw much that cost you and exactly what you needed.
I’m sensitive skin and hard to find one which is not irritating me during my period but ended up I received something totally different because of substituted. I’m now can only look at them instead of use them due to they have No stock and have to paid triple the price...
The most funny thing is they will choose the most expensive and Morrisons’ made for you but nothing is on offer.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

The new app is infinitely worse than the previous version. The choice and availability (or lack thereof) of stock is close to being embarrassing, details weren’t carried over from the old app, there is no longer a ‘my lists’ (which was a far better function than just saving favourites), and I keep having to log on every five minutes. I could list about 50 other things wrong with the new format, really. The old app made big shop so much more convenient for us, but now we have to go out and get all the bits you don’t have in stock, which defeats the object really. After my delivery pass expires in a few weeks I’ll be making the switch over to ASDA. Have a word with yourselves, Morrison’s.

Awful App

This is truly a huge step backwards. Morrison’s I hope you are embarrassed.
Amongst other issues the app keeps locking up. I logged in with my old password yet it didn’t have any of my information stored. No favourites came across, the choice and variety just isn’t available any more. Can’t find things very easily. The menu choices tell you there are so many items in the list, when you click in the list there are very few and sometimes none at all. I really can’t believe how bad this is. I finally managed to place an order after being thrown out of the app three times and having to log back in. Although I now have very little confidence that I’ll actually get my delivery.
The 6 months free delivery pass to switch over is really not enough compensation. If this persists I will be shopping elsewhere.

Only used it since the update a week ago and all is well so far.....

I read the reviews by other users with dismay and was dreading having to use the app as I’d stopped using Morrison’s for delivery because their website froze on my iPhone so often, and then when I had to move over to the other app (white background, the original app) there was never anything I wanted available (didn’t show as out of stock meaning it was the shop at fault, it just wasn’t there) and the app didn’t seem to like being used on an iPhone. However...... so far I’ve had absolutely no issues with this app at all, bar there being quite a few items out of stock, but that’s not the app being faulty, that’s the shops fault. Logged in on my first attempt, my favourites were all there, found what I needed (you do need to know how Morrison’s thinks in order to find anything still, as a direct search for one item lead me to 3 choices, but I came across about 25 choices when I wasn’t looking for the actual item....?!) picked my shopping, went through the checkout and it still had my previous payment details saved, so all’s well that ends well. I even went back in and checked I could edit the order, which I was able to. Hopefully the users who reported the app to be utterly useless will now find it is much improved.

Not fit for purpose

Morrison’s really don’t understand Apps and they need to look at what their competitors are doing.
Having harvested my personal data through their More App, they’ll send me a welcome pack through the post (Yes!) and then I need to use one of two other apps according to where you live, but you have to guess which one. I guessed wrong but the link to the other App didn’t work, so I had to find it in the App Store.
At the first log in, I was told that my account had been temporarily locked because I had made too many failed login attempts! Clutching at the word ‘temporarily’, I made further attempts later and the following day, with the same result.
I’ll be sending my ‘Welcome Pack’ back, when it arrives, and I strongly recommend that this suite of Apps is deleted until it is fit for purpose.
