Good game but key issues
It’s a good game, but losing possession to random forward passes and on short kickoffs (when you have no control over your players) is utterly ridiculous, as well as the fact that I was over for a try, and my player just kicked the ball over the dead ball line, which led to the other team scoring. It would also be nice if my players didn’t tackle like Hull KR in the 2015 Challenge Cup Final.

The thrill of brutal rugby! Please make a bossaball game.
Live the rugby dream as you rush past the opposition with fatal pace and a challenging game as opposition players do run a lot faster when they lose possession and penalties are always converted by the opposition, whereas some positions are hard to score from and the only way to score is passing around the opposition or flanking them and I would love to see more variety of ways to score!!!
The amount of teams though is sensational!!!!

This game is by far the best rugby league game out there that I have come across. There is so much potential for this game, a good foundation for a fab game. But there are some exceedingly frustrating things in the game.
1. The stupid energy bottles and the ticket system. You can only do 3 matches at a time then wait 3 hours for another 3 matches. You can buy something that makes you have unlimited amount of games and matches but that costs about £4 I think.
2. The ticket system, to play the good games ( with better players and as countries) you need to buy tickets that cost the aforementioned £4.
3. Drop goals in real rugby league score 3 points and in the game they only score 1 point. Just a bit confusing.

The free version is far better with the players of less quality! I enjoyed the free version so decided to purchase the £9.99 full version. Now the game has become ridiculous with the better players and teams. The computer throws the ball around completely unrealistically whereby you can’t tackle a player!!

So when I first started a was reading the other reviews and I saw lots of them saying it’s really good so I got it at the I loved it my first match was great so I new I was in 2020 so I’m writing to ask for rugby league 20 because it would be a lot better so until then I’m going to play rugby league 19 I surely recommend getting it it’s really good

Best rugby game going
This game is great fun, I’ve played countless seasons now even though there’s not a lot else to complete!
My only complaints are:
1. Forced ads after each game, I understand that I might want to watch one for a training bonus but the forced one really takes away from the fun of the game.
2. No option to manually change player? My players often can’t tackle the man for 30 metres as the cpu has switched me to a player miles away!
3. Opponents always convert kicks. They should occasionally miss or it’s a pointless cut scene.
4. Sometimes the opponents regather their own kick off but I am unable to (ever). I don’t mind them getting the ball as long as I’m able to do the same!
5. Maybe some clearer control guides as I’ve been playing for months and only discovered today that a drop goal was possible! (And even then only because the opposition managed one).
6. Just some more variation from the opponents, so maybe they commit more fouls or kick the ball before the fifth tackle or even just kick the restart to the other side of the pitch for once.
All in all though it’s a great game that I play again and again!

Fun but basic
It is a good game but it’s very basic. It’s the only decent rugby league app on the store so it will do. It has potential to be great though. There isn’t a proper league structure just a simple 2 up 2 down. No play offs. No challenge cup. no magic weekend/summer bash in the English leagues. The season is over now but it would be great adding more details in the next game. Also your rugby union version has create your own club. Like ultimate team for fifa. I thought you would have had that for the rugby league version as well. That would be the biggest feature on the game.

The gameplay is great with lovely passing and tackling but I think the developers need to put more effort into when you take a conversion because you flick it as high as you can and it still puts no height into the kick and I also found out that the hooker was the same speed as a winger?? Other than that this game is great

You can’t change player to tackle so when the guys running at you, there’s a player running from the other wing to chase him down and the attacking player is surrounded by 10 defenders who don’t tackle him because you’ve got to wait for winger to come. Frustrated me so deleted

Get rid of the ridiculous bottle energy scheme
This is quite possibly the best sport game that is currently on the appstore and I find that it gets elements like kicking at goal and passing extremely accurate and well made. However what really puts me off this game and to be frank genuinely annoys me is the fact that the developers have thought that anyone is really going to pay £2.99 or £3.99 for more energy which is absolutely ridiculous. And as if that wasn’t stupid enough they have thought that people would pay £9.99 for the unlimited energy version. This game is great and is my go to for killing time, but if the developers think we’re going to pay for more energy in this day and age they need to realise that the amount of money they are asking simply does not justify the purchase. It takes around 1 hour to attain a full bottle of energy so i can only play a few games a day if i’m lucky, that’s if the game actually refills the bottles which it doesn’t sometimes which is quite frustrating. Seriously though, if the developers wish to have to the best sporting game then get rid of the stupid pay to win system. I understand you developers want to make money, but there other ways rather than depriving players of game time such as ADVERTS!!!! Please fix this pay to win system fr tho cus it’s proper gak.

Good game but really annoying and terrible at some points
Don’t get me wrong it’s a great game but the fact that you can only play 3 games and then have to wait 45 MINUTES to play another one is extremely stupid. And the way they think that anyone is going to pay £10 to get rid of them is insane. They also realised that everyone got annoyed of the fact they have this idiotic thing. Good but lacking accuracy
The game is cool but there is no South Africa and if you are playing an International match you should be able to get 5 for a try and 3 for a drop kick as well as line outs unlimited tackles when your in an international match. And the fact that you have to have three bottles and each one takes one hour and my dad doesn’t let me buy extras and I can only get one ticket a day. Please can you update the game and have unlimited bottles and tickets. Or everything that is in need of a ticket is a bottle.

Terrible game!
So controls don’t work, difficulty levels of very easy or impossible with nothing in between, no skill involved pure luck if your tackle connects or if pass goes in the correct direction (if the pass button works). Looks ok but a real missed opportunity. Part of the difficulty level change involves you not being in control of any players which makes it hard to do anything!

Has so much potential but ultimately frustrating
There’s lots to like about this game. But I ended up deleting it out of frustration.
The career mode has some nice ideas, eg: having to work your way up from starting in an obscure club, and playing different comps in different countries.
But too many freezes, too many ads, some ads that you can’t seem to get out of (eg: the acrobat game one), and the ridiculous energy bars and tickets system - it feels like the devs made a game and then decided to come up a system to block people from actually playing it. And playing defence is a nightmare, you’re relying on the game to switch control to a defender near the ball-carrier.
With some tweaks, and dumping the energy bars/tickets, this could be a really good game. At the moment it just gets annoying.

Almost the best!
I love this game but there are some aspects of the game that need to be improved. The refill is really unnecessary and takes to long to fill so just remove it!!!!! Also I would like to see some black players in career mode to show diversity the ticket thing is also a-bit useless there is no need for it so remove!!!! 😂 But I still love the game and hope this feedback gets through to you developers 🙏

Has potential
I have been playing this game for a couple of weeks now and it is generally a quite an enjoyable game. But you require energy or tickets for each match which is a huge downside. It takes 45 minutes for 1 energy to be restored which is a huge amount considering the matches are only between 8-16 minutes long. Then to get tickets you either need to watch a video which very rarely pop up or complete a series of 4 challenges which require energy for each one making it extremely hard to do. I would rate this game 4 stars and maybe even 5 if they got rid of this system or change it so it has a much shorter wait. Overall I would recommend getting this game if you are willing to pay for energy or wait for 45 minutes to regain it. I hope they will change this so it can fulfil the potential it has to be a great game and possibly be the best mobile rugby league/union game there is at the moment.

Could’ve been a good game
This game looked really fun when I was watching the preview but when I download it and play it myself it just seems to lag and glitch all the time, it’s so annoying. I’m about to score a try when BLAM it glitches and I have to restart the whole game and waste one of the three energy bars (Which is a tiny amount considering it takes like an hour to recharge just one of them)
Overall I think this game could of been good if it had more energy bars (or none at all) and more time had been taken to sort out all the bugs and weird lags

Developers going backwards
I have been a Distinctive games fan for quite a while now having the previous RN and RL versions. They were games that were worth paying the upfront cost for.
I personally really do hate the ad and energy based games that try and trick you into spending more money. It is a real shame that they have gone this way.
The game play is no different to previous versions. Poor around a rich situation and really linear in some of the running/tackling. Gets a bit boring after a while.
Sadly I feel that the combination of these factors will turn off the core following of the previous version.
Hopefully they will add a way of getting the full game rather than a naff ad based version.

They’ve taken a pretty good IOS game and just put in a load of features where you have to pay money to play. Also, they haven’t really improved on the gameplay enough to justify the price. You can’t download and play as your favourite team, as you have to buy “tickets”. Also, someone might want to explain to the developers the actual rules of rugby.

Best Free Game!!!
This Game is just amazing! How is this for free? I love playing it when I have the time. The only bad thing about it is the energy bar, but apart from that this is a brilliant game.
