It’s a good app however as an archaeologist the vast majority of this is in no way relevant to me. Why do I need to know about elevated working platforms and roofing ladders? The stress this is causing is ridiculous. And the answers are worded to deliberately catch you out. It’s almost like they don’t want you to pass.

Do not be fooled by just revising a few times , I spent plenty of time practicing until I could get 49 or 50 out of 50 every time ! Make sure you do this to , not just me but 2 others taking the test queried the fact that out of all the question on this app only about half or so appeared on the test and worded different on occasions , luckily I manage to scrap through but when questioning it the desk they said there’s thousands of questioned these are just some of them ! I would have preferred to study many more if that was the case . So heads up get 49 to 50 each time before you sit the test !! Good luck
Moving on from my review I’ve since had a reply from the Citb team saying that I may have used the wrong information / revision app ! Not that I was aware of that and also it must of happened to others at the test centre as I wasn’t alone in this experience , so moving forward to anyone doing the test just make sure you download the right one ! ( I may have been wrong ) ….

I don’t do reviews normally, but this one deserves my time. This app is a saviour when it comes to organising your mind about how to prepare for the exam, it offers you the knowledge itself you need for the exam and then it sets some exams for you to try. You can chose questions depending on subject or type. Once you see the real test, you feel like you have seen it many times before. For reference, i spent a total 12 (serious) hours on this app and got 50/50 in the test within 25 minutes. Thank you to whoever made this app.

I’ve been doing CITB H&S tests for years to continue with my on site credentials. Having bought and used the paper books in the past, whilst they have also been useful, there was never an option to ‘self test’ easily. Flipping from question to answer page and trying not to see the answer for the next question!
This app is absolutely fantastic, and provides easy user interface with the added bonus of being able to do practice tests. It also highlights your problem areas and allows to concentrate on those that need a little extra revision!

Generally good at providing a sound knowledge of the questions, but if you don’t realise that some of the categories have more than 20 questions it’s fairly easy not to move the slider across so you could miss out on learning some. The default should be all questions in a category and you change this if you want.
The progress report tells you the percentage of questions you have seen but doesn’t have an option to do just the ones you gave not seen.
A useful feature would be to have all the questions you have failed or not seen in one quiz.

Having been out of the hseq game for a while (went back on the tools due to redundancy) this app was a must have. It has been a few years since my nebosh training was used and I was a little rusty.

Having the book is great so u can view the questions easier. But the ability to take mock tests on the app makes this the perfect way to revise for the test.
Just would like to point out to the developers that there is a bug in the question about place the 5 stages of fire risk assessment in order. If this question comes up as Q50 in the mock test u then can’t finish the test. When u click next to take to marking it does nothing and u have to exit without the mark.

I had to sit a CITB HS&E managers and professionals test this morning. It took me 6 minutes to complete the test with a score of 100% . That was all down to using this app for a week prior to sitting the test. Cannot rate it highly enough.

This is a well designed and clean app that makes revising for the CITB test far less arduous that reading through the text book. Tests can be done in minutes while you’re commuting. Highly recommended.

Was unsure on an App to revise and thought “just get the book” but wow the App is so easy to navigate through, clear and precise and the practice tests are great and really does help show what categories you need to refresh your knowledge..... also a great handy safety tool between tests every 5yrs to refresh the mind while on the train
