Protocols don’t work

Customer service is so bad they never ever reply to the email i send them. Servers are very unstable and they don’t fix it at all. Least they could have done is reply to my emails and let the customer know if it will be fixed or not. Very disappointed on this app, bought 1 year subscription for this kind of service. Ok ok. So I found this app, went to check the description and saw there is no mention of a premium subscription. I was getting excited as I read. I downloaded the app…

And then I tried to use the VPN to go to USA, wink wink. 🙂

And then BAM! Hit in the face with ANOTHER app that won’t let you use it unless you pay for it. If you won’t let people use it without paying, JUST MAKE THE APP PAID!!!

Furiously, I uninstalled the app.

False UI for country selection

App looks great, easy to setup but tested multiple countries on both ‘core’ and ‘streaming’ against multiple what’s-my-location-websites and it’s seems to choose a server nearby but not exactly what you chose. Example: selecting Argentina will give you Brazil.. which is okay if you just want to hide your IP in a pinch but pretty annoying when you want to access content through a specific country?

Why not just make the app up front about what servers you actually have rather than false advertise? If it was legit it would be an easy five star just due to the UI but oh well - off to try a different app I guess!

Doesn’t work

It’s as simple as that. It doesn’t work. I live in UK and this is the second time I’ve giving it a go on another country. First time I was in Iceland and now I’m in Japan. It simply doesn’t work! Waste of money. Also not sure where all the good reviews are from?

I know the response from developer. And they can say what they want. But the long and short of it is. It doesn’t work. I tried it on a multiple platforms and even a silly gaming app and that wasn’t even accepted. If you get it working. Then I’m envious. All I’m saying (‘and what reviews are for) be cautious. Hi, This is a great app, did find for a while since last update that frustratingly VPN kept disconnecting and at times wouldn't connect but would if I enabled it in my device settings after a lot of trial and error selecting different protocols. I was considering cancelling my subscription as I didn't feel it was doing anything. But then I discovered that if you go into Larva app, select Settings and select set "Kill Switch" and then "Connection on Demand" VPN connects straight away when Wi Fi or Data is connected and stays on until connection disables. Very happy now with this app now that I have adjusted settings.

I love this VPN APP. I'm glad that I found it. I've tried all the best like Nord, Express etc but I really like this - I like how it is so damn tweakable - I like more how fast it is and it beats the others in "ping" performance where every ms counts.

But the only grip that I have is that it won't stay on 'CONNECT ON DEMAND'... It deactivates itself from time to time - which can catch you out when the device is turned on. However...

I'm thoroughly enjoying my three day trial. So much so that I will overlook the little discrepancy tomorrow and will subscribe to this awesome VPN full time with pleasure.

I'm also sure that the little bug of de-activation of connect on demand will be fixed in a future update - hopefully sooner rather than later.

So I used the free trial, it's very pretty it works I can't confirm how secure it truly is but I can say it worked for day to day browsing

I tried it because I despise the BBC and their licence fee, it's damn near impossible to watch BBC iplayer stuff without having to sign in so it's a pirates life for me.

I’m quite upset because when I downloaded the app and subscribed to a free trial it did not give me the option to a monthly subscription only a year subscription. Then when it came to the end of the free trial it automatically took out a 1 year subscription. How can I get a refund? I won’t need the app for 1 year and prefer doing monthly here and there. I don’t want to pay for something I’m not going to actively use for a whole year.

Stop using this Larva some months ago , don't know why. So recently I've tried several of the top rated VPN apps but everyone had connection issues with the sports channels in the UK and it was a nightmare trying to connect. Even though I chose a UK VPN programmes would not allow me access, saying you can't watch this content outside the UK.

Resubscribed to Larva and everything works seamlessly, access all at top speeds. Don't hesitate and don't waste time trying others. On my i phone Larva is perfect.

What it says in the title. Enjoyed the trial and the app stated that if not cancelled a subscription would automatically renew - showing what the monthly payments are over a year. This app worked great in December unfortunately after brexit it no longer works on my phone sky have updated there app so you need location settings on and even with the vpn in England on either streaming channel you are blocked I believe it is the same for bt hopefully you can update and get round this river wise I will have to cancel the subscription.

I saw the developers reply but the sky app and more apps request you have location services turned on otherwise they won’t work hopefully larva can find a way round this

It works well and it looks pretty.

When I first downloaded this, I didn’t expect it to work so well. No disruptions and long loading times, I could browse whatever I wanted effortlessly unlike the other VPN apps I’ve tried. But to be honest, what really sold me has nothing to do with the performance, it’s actually because of how nice it looks. It’s just so aesthetically pleasing, going into the app and seeing the blue globe of the world that you can interact with and the pretty spinning crystal, or whatever you may call it. I’m a very visual person so things like this immediately catch my attention. Overall, using the app is always a pleasant experience.

The 3 dayTrial went smooth I could watch USA Netflix so I subscribed for a month, biggest mistake of my life. One day into my subscription and it stops working, can’t watch nothing just says no internet connection on any app I go on( it won’t even load). Amazing app but - Re-fund

I’ve never written a review with such positivity but at the same time requesting that the services are cancelled and a refund is being requested. The app itself is excellent and extremely sufficient! Does exactly what it says on the tin kind of app. The only issue I have is that I didn’t need it for more than the trial period and now it’s set me up for a yearly subscription which was taken today. I don’t need these services going forward and would like to receive feedback on how I’d go about a refund to my account. Just not happy it’s automatically taken a yearly subscription out of my account.

Really great VPN

My wifi at my job blocks off a lot of stuff but this VPN really comes in clutch, allowing me to visit any website or social media platform that I want. Im at work pretty much all the time so the subscription is honestly worth it because my data doesnt work too good in the building I work in. I like how it doesnt flicker on and off like some other VPNs ive had before, back when I had to use them in high school. I highly recommend this VPN and the subscription if you’re in the same situation as me, in the same place A LOT with a limited wifi connection.

Really good VPN

Really good VPN, easy to use and like that there is no data requirement (email or password) required.

Noticed that it is draining my iPhone battery like crazy over the last few days/weeks and not sure why as didn’t used to before. Also noticed some problems auto-connect over the last few weeks. Still a happy user but would appreciate fixes for these problems.

Great App. Watch out they don’t charge you when you cancel the free trial

I wanted to evaluate this app. It works great. However, I cancelled the free trial WITHIN THE THREE DAY PERIOD and they charged me for the annual plan. For this reason, I will be staying clear of this app.

Took my money

I cancelled my subscription months ago yet for some reason out of nowhere I’m charged for £24. Whether I was re added or something I do not know but I should’ve at least received some warning about an unexpected charge to my account. I can’t afford to be losing money at this unprecedented time and do not appreciate what this app has done. If I receive my money back, of which Apple refuse, then I will remove this review and rating.

Couldn’t do the simple

I downloaded this VPN because of competitive prices and reviews. This was to try connect to Australia whilst in the United Kingdom to catch up, whilst on holiday on my shows and the application of choice knew i was using a VPN and blocked me from watching. This is the first VPN I’ve paid for after using other top brands for free with no issues vial trial periods. I should of paid the extra and got a service that did what it was meant to do.

Working good until now. But while on auto connect, it always connects to same place always. Lags sometimes but it happens.

Was totally ok.

It's a pretty good app than most other VPN apps. Doesn't disconnect as soon as you stop using the phone like many other apps. Smooth and user friendly. Thumbs up.

Great. work smoothly and faster

Easy to use. I mainly use it to pass network restrictions so i can watch whatever l want on amost any network. Sometimes it doesnt work at all for some reason but that is almost hardly ever. I recommend it for sure.

Very good In my opinion best vpn ever

So far so good - using to allow UK only services abroad. Very happy that I can choose which apps use the VPN so I can turn off for banking etc. Will update on my return!

Good to open restricted sites.

Easy to use and run perfectly in the background, not like some vpns will crash while running in the background. it works very well in UK and helps me gain access to contents blocked by the wall.

Second only to the VPN gate project on desktop, but even that one is harder to use (though VPN gate can get faster connections). 10/10 would recommend. Literally the only VPN you need on mobile.
