PLEASE READ!
We have two young children and the stresses of maternity pay and bills were getting in the way of me and my wife enjoying life and we started to bicker a lot and we’re probably going to split up.
Came across this app whilst doom scrolling on insta. It has been an absolute blessing. It’s 100% saved my marriage no doubt about it. We found ourselves reminiscing about our early relationship and it made us realise that we were just going through a rough patch and we could get through it. We’re being more intimate than ever. We’re a lot more tactile and lovey dovey. The bickering has pretty much stopped (obvs all couples bicker but I mean the big arguments have gone Away) and we’re a lot happier. Living in the moment and taking it one day at a time. 59 days into this app. Premium version. Worth every penny. Thank you so much paired app!

It’s full of great ideas, quizzes, games to really jolt a relationship - it’s clear a lot of time and attention has gone into developing this app and I’ve been having fun exploring it with my girlfriend. Honestly I LOVE the concept. Absolutely. And it’s more or less been executed quite well. That being said, unless you’re willing to pay for the premium version you get basically nothing. With premium, there’s questions, quizzes, journeys, games, packs, and exercises. And you have the daily question, and the counter for how many years, months, and days you’ve been together, and a few other generic bits and bobs. And 1 question extra (this doesn’t refresh, it’s just one question). There’s a free 7 day trial, but other than that you don’t get anything. We immediately see the benefit of this
As older parents of two young children it’s been hard to find balance for us. We want to get counselling, but I thought I’d try this to help us communicate and understand each others position and where the challenges might be. Were day two into this and I feel we have made more ground than we would have had in six weeks of hour long sessions with a counsellor. I never write reviews for apps, but, I am sharing this with app with so many people. Is there a way you can gift a membership?

Great if you’re straight
The app is a great idea, with quizzes, questions, and games. But, it’s completely heteronormative and doesn’t take account of the gender of the couple - all relationships don’t follow the cishet model! It would be good if there was more nuance to take more account of how LGBTIQ people “do” relationships.

Interesting and worthwhile if you’re looking for where some of your issues lie in your relationship!
When I first downloaded this app and suggested it to my husband he was intrigued, to be honest so was I! We couldn’t pinpoint the source of our issues and felt this was worth a shot! The quizzes, games & exercises really get you thinking about your partner and you can then compare the results and discuss between you why you chose those answers! We’ve been married for 15 years and deeply in love however have faced enough hardship to kill any solid relationship. Because we became so task oriented on making it through the ups & downs whilst trying to parent we suddenly became more like friends and forgot how to talk to each other like the devoted husband & wife we are. Yes the app has a price tag but for us the app has been a godsend! My husband focuses on making sure he understands the answers I’ve given and he loves the app and definitely feels like it’s made a difference in our relationship and as a result we make more time to communicate to each other! Couldn’t recommend it enough! Can’t put a price on true love!!!

My wife and I absolutely love this. It’s just so good in so many ways.
I like that there’s so much scientific explanation behind the exercises. I like the combination of the light hearted and the more serious topics.
I like that the daily conversations use different approaches ie text, quiz or you and me etc.
I like that none of them are onerous.
I like that you can bookmark conversations you can go back to - which we often do. And I like the new chat feature as well.
This has opened up some really good and interesting conversations. We’ve been married almost 20 years and still learning lots about each other!!

Why change something that works?
This app has been amazing for my partner and I during long distance and we continued using it ever since we moved in together but it seemed to get less engaging with every new update. Plus, as many already mentioned, removing the chat, which was the whole point of an app that helps couples connect and communicate better, was simply a poor decision. We are still using it occasionally just out of a habit but will not renew at this end of this year because it’s quite frankly an unjustifiable expense in its current form.

Such a gift for us!
This is a fantastic program. It brings you together with your partner in a healing, lovely way. The discussions we have are honest, intimate and funny. We’ve put aside a small amount of time in the early mornings to discuss our responses to the daily prompts, games and journeys. Even when the subject is tense, the experience of talking in such a low stakes and safe emotional environment. I recommend this to any and all couples who want to work on bad patterns of conflict, get to know one another again, like at the beginning, and enjoy each other’s company.

I didn’t feel this app helped with fixing any issues just putting more emphasis on there being one. You know what you need to work on in a healthy relationship so using an app to keep highlighting this isn’t a great solution.
I really didn’t like it, all this keep your streak up stuff and then offering promos for referrals, it felt more like a game and all about the revenue generation.

Poor customer service, lack of understanding
Recently left feedback on the update of this app and the response was quite unsavoury. I reached out to discuss the removal of the discuss function where you could chat on every question you answered which was our favourite feature - it’s an app about being couples together and making them strong so the conversation around our answers is the most important and this has now been removed?
The response I received told me to simply use another app to discuss answers which is wild to me as the whole point is to use the app in question which we paid a lot of money for? The yearly subscription isn’t cheap and it’s unfair to expect we can spend time hopping through different apps to discuss.
I’ve since been met with radio silence and think the people behind this have done themselves a huge disservice. We’ve decided not to renew our subscription for the next year as a result 🥲

I love the app! But…
My partner and I are long distance, but we still see each other very often, and Paired has brought us even closer together. It’s been wonderful. But we are polyamorous. It works for us and it’s an important part of mine and his identity. I wish the app had some more questions and quizzes that were more specific to polyamory, as I haven’t found many.
The questions that are there are very helpful though, regardless of the format of a relationship

Amazing
I have never written a review about an app before but felt I had to with this app. My husband for 20 years had an affair, this left me shattered, we are rebuilding what we had and a huge part of this has been this app. Some of the quizzes and questions can be triggering and we have rules around what we answer and what we don't etc but honestly it has been a total game changer. The monthly price is a fraction of marriage counselling and has been as much a part of our marriage repair.

I have had this app for over a year and have loved it, 5 star tbh, BUT they recently removed the chat feature (the best thing about this app). This feature was available to you after you answer difficult questions with each other honestly to promt hard conversations. I loved how my partner could answer quiz questions and after I could ask why she chose an answer.
With this feature removed your just answering questions with no feedback and it feels pointless.

Having met my new boyfriend only eight weeks’ ago - Tim’s daughter recommended this app to us. Do not download unless planning on paying £40 free app version you get 1 free question, should be atleast 1 free per category, impossible to gain any connection with partner as the only free questions are ridiculous ones in areas we dont need to work in. Such an amazing idea for an app such a shame how bad it works, can be done for way cheaper. stop paying “licensed” therapists for questions you can find on google and lower your price. This could be a top app if cheaper

The developers make it “impossible” to cancel the subscription
I have used this app for a few years. Its quite good to be fair for couples relationships. However, I have tried to cancel the subscription over 2 consecutive renewal periods and have not managed to cancel it. This is because the app developers make is extremely esoteric for the user to navigate and cancel it. The help section is frankly useless as it does not show the correct way of cancelling it. If the developer was to make it simple like most other apps to cancel subscription, then I would mark my review higher. Beware: avoid being locked in.

Very powerful tool
I’ve been amazed at how useful it’s been for building my relationship. There have been lots of small, fun, enjoyable moments I have been able to share with my partner, prompted by the questions. But we have also had several really important conversations off the back of this app and broken through on a few issues that troubled us. There are plenty of questions on every topic, tailored to the level of time and emotional effort you can put in that day. My partner and I are non-monogamous. I had thought this app would be very hetero and mono centric. It’s been the exact opposite; I don’t see my partner that often, and we don’t want to live together, nor have kids, etc… but the app has been so helpful for us in our unique context, to build a new level of understanding. Have only been using for a couple of weeks but I’d say it’s been 100% worth the money so far

Free version even more limited
I’ve been enjoying using this app with my partner for over a year now. The free version allows you to answer one question/quiz which is the question/quiz of the day. Up until 20 dec, if your partner had answered a question on a previous day, you were able to respond to it still. This feature has been removed which makes the free version frustrating and much more unusable. Both me and my partner are neurodiverse and find it hard to stick to doing something every day. Combine the 2 of us together, the likelihood that we’ll both do it on the same day is even less. This has resulted in questions piling up that my partner is awaiting a response from me on, but I am unable to do them. This has put me off using the app altogether

Fix the bugs!
Both me and my partner love this app - its great for knowing what your partner really thinks/ feels about things which wouldn’t normally be discussed- also opening up conversations about various subjects.
We have paid for this, but won’t be renewing again until the bugs are fixed - it now keeps freezing and crashing every time - for both of us on iPhone.
Other than that - it’s a great little app!

Good if you’re still getting to know each other
My partner and I had been together 4-5yrs. when we tried this out. I’d seen apple promote it, and suggested it during a short course of counselling we did.
PROS: We agree that it was the act of us doing something together, for “us”, that was useful and helpful and good.
CONS: The questions we answered each day were too basic and ‘surface level’ to offer either of us any new insights into one another.
I imagine this would be great for couples in newer relationships, as it will fast track the ‘getting to know you better’ stage that happens maybe 6mos-3yrs. in, depending?
*EXCEPTION*: If you and your partner are struggling to communicate without fighting, or at all, then I suggest you DO try the free version. I can readily see how this app could help by getting back to basics and opening a new space to passively and positively reflect together (at the very least share a lol about how obvious the answers are!).

Fantastic App
Myself and my wife loved this app it brought us closer together after becoming a little distant from each other due to family life at that point in time.
Our only complaint is the price of it, not sure if the subscription is for the couple or individually but it would be better if it was £4 a month or a 3 month, 6 month and year subscription options then people can sign up to what they can afford at that point in time.

Appalling customer service
I paid premium for the year upfront. We really enjoyed using it for 4 months and found it useful however It stopped working for my partner about 3 weeks ago. We’ve sent request upon request for help but received very little. Mine started to only allow me to answer half the questions a week ago. Customer service is dreadful and no resolution. When I complained about it I was told I had to apply to Apple for refunds if it stopped working. They take no responsibility and there’s no help in resolving the issue apart from turn off and on your phone and reload the app. Both haven’t worked!!

Exploitative price - very little content.
If this app was a one off fee for maybe £5.99 or something like that, then it would be entirely worth it. But as it stands £60 for a few questions and answer prompts is downright extortionate, and then to ask that you pay again after one year is ridiculous! I doubt anyone will ever pay for it for over one year, so this is basically just kicking people off the platform unnecessarily when they have already paid waaay over the odds for the app. I assure you, while it can be a bitnof fun, the vast majority of the content is just a list of questions to ask yourself and for your partner to answer about themselves - to be fair to it, this has led to some interesting conversations between me and my partner, but it is not justifiably priced higher than a AAA blockbuster game on a next gen console. Good concept - through the roof price!
The idea is a good one but only getting 1 question per day on the free version is very limiting, of course the idea is to drive us for the premium membership…which I considered until I saw the price! Ridiculously high. I can see me and my partner having this for a week or so but then getting rid of it. Not engaging enough on the free version and extortionate fees for the full thing. The creators would benefit so much from lowering the prices as many more couples would be willing to pay a reasonable price but will walk away entirely when over priced.

Me and my husband was in a bad place; with the help of this app it brought up many conversations easy, hard, fun… everything which we would never have spoken about before but it’s just too expensive to keep it going and we are gutted. Thanks for your help for the year, it’s greatly appreciated and you’ve genuinely helped up. We will try and come up with a different was if incorporating your app so our progress continues.

UPDATED REVIEW - Just downloaded and doesn’t work
Just downloaded this and keep getting errors and nothing works. Love the concept but think the errors need fixing. Basically everything you answer/do ends in an “unexpected error” message. Will wait a week to see if there’s any improvements and will update score after or will just delete the app. App works now so changing my score. Such a good tool to help relationships! Just hope more content comes on as time goes on so we never run out!

Life Changer
My fiancé suggested we try this app; our relationship was already pretty solid but like everyone, neither of us are perfect so we went in thinking there’s always room for improvement. And there was! Our relationship has changed so much for the better; we’ve learned so much about each other and we’ve worked on so many things we wanted to improve on. Not to mention it’s so much fun too!!

A game-changer
If you’re completely honest about all the questions, this can really change your relationship for the better 1000%. It’s great and it even keeps track of how long you’ve been together and you’re anniv date and everything. It’s a shame you have to pay for a lot of the questions but you still get daily questions and quizzes. If you're struggling in a relationship right now and you’re willing to put the effort in, it’s definitely worth a download.

A really good app, only fault is with the developers.
I am a premium issuer and for a while, I could not interact with the home page at all, until a pop up was presented asking if I can recommend the app. Only after I answered it did the home page start working.
I am not saying that the developers has some dark UX patterns implemented, but they need to look at their feedback inbox as I had reported this issue numerous times and got no response.

Excellent app
Downloaded this for a laugh with my partner and we really enjoyed it. It’s nice to play when you’re apart, but even better when you’re in the same room. It prompted some really good conversations and helped us feel closer to each other. There are only two downsides 1) it’s hard to see what questions or games your partner has answered but you have not - having them all in the chat means that you easily miss or lose some (especially if one of you is racing ahead) and 2) price: £50 lump sum felt like a lot in one go. £3 or £3.50 per month would be much more palatable (though I appreciate the risk that people might cancel).

Our relationship is great and we communicate about everything BUT paired asks questions that maybe you wouldn’t think about. It gives a chance for you and your partner to solely think about each other at least once a day, while you’re separate. One of you may be on a walk and one on your lunch break, you can both answer in your own time. And if you commit to understanding and not feeling attacked by anything your partner says- almost all answers make you feel a little closer. He initially was worried but two days in he thinks it’s lovely.

Brilliant
My partner and I have had a difficult 3 years with long distance and only wish we could’ve had this app sooner. It encourages communication even when you don’t know what you need to say. Our relationship is amazing now. Even the disagreements aren’t so bad anymore because we are both making strides in healthy communication. I couldn’t recommend this app more to any relationship, even if you deem yourself to be completely happy because this app will still find things to communicate about, even if you haven’t thought of it.

I love this app
I really think this is a lovely app even with the free version, it almost encourages more consistent use so you don’t lose access to your partners answers. So far I’ve been using a while at a very happy stage in my relationship. It’s quite nice to see this reflected in the weekly / monthly quizzes. But I’m interested how it will work in times of conflict, though maybe the current relationship satisfaction is due to using the app? Definitely might not be a coincidence!

Sorry I’m poor!
We do really like this app- we don’t have a lot of issues but we think it’s good to be proactive and keep on top of things/be prepared!
My only moan is that if you don’t pay any money you only get to do one little question per day- which I think is a bit mean! ‘Poor people don’t get to improve their relationships- sorry!’ If I were offered a little more inclusion I would be more inclined to pay when I can afford it. Thus, the three stars.

Great conversation starter
I was a bit cynical at first but this has been a really helpful way to share our honest thoughts and feelings. We can also discuss topics we simply wouldn’t have thought to bring up.
The only improvement would be a different pricing model, £60+ for a subscription is too steep but I would happily pay for individual bundles that would be particularly useful for us.

Good App For Couples
I have been using the free version for a few weeks- you get one free conversation question a day and a quiz on Sundays and so far myself and my partner have enjoyed it. Good to start up conversation on random topics, however too many of the questions are “Xmas/holiday” themed and I hope this isn’t a reoccurance throughout the year as many of the questions are irrelevant to those who do not celebrate. It needs to become more inclusive of people from different backgrounds.
I suspect if you buy the subscription for the paid version you will have more from the app in terms of free quizzes and questions.

Great couples therapy
My partner and I were going through issues, I was completely unaware of due to lack of communication. This really helped us both open up and rebuild our relationship. I was so surprised it did anything, I thought it would just be another app promising things and wouldn’t deliver. We feel so much close to each other now, highly recommend this. Only annoying thing is the monthly fee but honestly I think it might be worth a try regardless.

Love it!
The price tag put me off a little bit over the 7 day trial me and my partner have become so much closer with this app! We have two small children and both work 40+ hours a week which obviously doesn’t leave much room for intimacy or just taking the moment to have a 5 minute chat that’s any more than ‘How are you’ or ‘how was your day’ before we need to rush away to do something.
Having this app has made us connect on such a deeper level and I feel like I’m falling for him all over again.

Good but way too expensive.
This app is persistant on making you get Premium.
Everything has to be paid for- you only have access to 1 daily question and a quiz without it.
I gave 4 stars purely because I really like the concept of giving couples questions to spark conversations and critical thinking. However I could get this advice for free on google. Perhaps do a version where you can get stuff for free by watching ads? and Premium gets rid of ads?

Helpful
Me and my partner recently had a baby and every conversation seems to be money or baby related and I really missed the deep heartfelt conversations we had earlier in our relationship, this app definitely helped us a lot. It takes about a minute to answer one of the daily questions and it always helps us start conversations that are stress free even if it is only for when our baby is feeding it gives us something to talk about instead of just watching the tv. The only downfall is how much it costs to unlock other questions, I understand having to pay I just wish it was a bit cheaper.

Insanely expensive
I like the app, when I downloaded I tried it out and then paid for the subscription (£50) and we started using the app. After a week I discovered that my partner couldn’t open any of the answers I hadn’t answered on that same day. He told me he also needed to subscribe and was getting that message when he tried to respond. When I paid for the subscription I was under the impression it covered the full use of the app for the COUPLE. This was not made clear at all and in my opinion!! Having to pay £100 to properly use the app as a couple is absurd. At least offer a monthly option or something if you’re going to charge so much.

This app really helps with communication. We started paired using the free app, then bought premium as it was really fun and interactive to do as couple. It helps you start conversations without awkwardness, you get to know your partner a bit more. I 100% recommend this app, even just using it for the daily question

Get communication started
This app certainly helps get communication started, however you’ll find you go through the questions/quizzes very quickly and so be near to running out. It would be great if you could write your own quizzes so to directly ask a question of your OH, it would also be great if you could organise quizzes/questions in to categories so you could search for one genre easily

Love this app!
I love this app and the conversations it brings about between my wife and I, it’s a little nod to our relationship every day and we really look forward to answering the question and discussing our answers!
My only tiny criticism is that it is aimed at straight couples as when you click on the ‘how will answering this question help my relationship’ button it always refers to male and female couples. Doesn’t really affect the questions but it would be nice if it felt more inclusive!

Good app for when both are truly committed to enhancing communication
My partner and I have been together for two years, and love each-other very much, however, different life and relationship experiences means we have different love languages and ways of communicating. She put this app forward to me as a way we may try to improve the way we speak and understand each other sometimes.
When both of you are committed to using this app daily, it’s really good for making you look at your relationship, and yourself, by promoting you with a series of big questions, and little quizzes, and has small, bite sized articles of various relationship aspects. Some days we both answer the questions and don’t then break down our answers in detail after, but we just have the little insight into eachother, and sometimes we talk about the answers at length as a good conversational topic. We’ve really enjoyed the app for a month or two on the free version, and have now gone premium.
The only small issue I have with the app, is the cost. I think it’s about £60 a year between the two of you, which is quite an outlay…. We waited until we got it half price. Even then, £3 a month or similar sounds about right.

The questions on here are fun to answer & provoke conversation, so points for that.
You used to be able to look at what others answers were but that feature was taken away. 👎🏻
The UX is kind of terrible in that the app keeps asking you if you want to answer today's question -- when you already answered. As well as "do you want to... & then when you click that, nothing happens. (Such as "go take this quiz")
It's insanely expensive. I'm not a purely free app person. I pay for things in games here and there, I pay for apps if they're good. I'm not against paying for an app but this cost, even when a 50% off coupon was shot out is just too much. There are just other apps doing a similar enough thing for free.
So overall? Neutral. Fun to use but lots of bugs still to work out & not a chance I'd pay this much for it.

Download, it’s a must!
Me and my partner use this every day. We haven’t had much problems in our relationship other than a few times where we have both lacked communication. Using this app has helped us both to understand how similar we are, we don’t look at each other’s answers until we’ve both answered, and even then we both answer the same! It’s helping us grow more of a bond then we did before and that we may have been missing and not realised. Highly rate this app. We only use the free one because we can’t afford the monthly payments but even so the questions are always good to know.

Amazing product!
My girlfriend and I are absolutely addicted to it. It’s such a great way to have the small conversations about things that matter or could be improved in our relationship. And the best part is that you can squeeze those moments into your daily routine so instead of mindlessly scrolling Instagram on the bus you can now have very intimate exchanges with your partner on things that really matter.

This is a great app and something that I think we’ve all been waiting for- it’s so good to be able to do the questions and think about aspects of your relationship that you may not have reflected on before. It’s great to have daily thoughts that support all aspects of a relationship. It has really helped in the present and will make us better partners to each other. Amazing app for helping to build a great relationship
This app is excellent and has really helped my relationship with my partner. The daily questions help to spark important conversations which you might not have otherwise had.
The courses are so well put together and are of very high quality. All of them are backed up by relationship research, and I have really enjoyed listening and reflecting on them, and I think it has definitely made me a better partner.

SO good!
Just download this app and already paired with my partner! The welcome quiz is great and I love that we can ask each other questions everyday. We both work a lot and find it difficult to always connect like we want. So I hope this will be a fun way of doing just that. Really like the podcast feature too. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
