Fantastic Frolo
For me the Frolo community app has been an amazing find.
It’s very positive ,friendly & supportive & has lifted my spirits & made me feel far less alone.
I’ve made some lovely connections & it’s taken over from all the other mindless social media apps that were wasting so much of my time.

Don’t waste your money
Literally got through the entire country in less than 3 mins. There’s no one on this dating site, I even set my preferences to max distance age etc. maybe one new person a week pops up if you’re lucky. I signed up premium for 3 months at £24.99 and now I can’t even log in as it doesn’t recognize my email address anymore. Slightly worrying as I had to verify my profile with my drivers license.
Seems more like a scam to me.

From a social media account that developed to the app, the community that has grown is one of the most supportive, gentle and friendly ways to feel accepted, celebrated and safe. Great app
I downloaded this app and was a little sceptical about it to start and it took me a little while to get the confidence to write something but I’m so glad I did!! It’s a great place to talk to other like minded single parents just to have a bit of a conversation when the children have gone to bed or to ask advice from the community. You can do this with your name or anonymous which is great if you don’t want to be identified or not feeling comfortable to share. There are so many lovely people on there and there is always someone to offer advice or just to cheer you on when life is a little hard.

Truly life changing!
I have been with Frolo from the beginning. Finding it on Instagram to awaiting it’s long awaited launch!
To have something so unique as our single parent lives just for us, is something we all needed (and deserved!).
I have seen -and felt- what a big impact it hs had on many lonely lives going through bringing up children alone and feeling marginalised in our society. Frolo is OUR new name now and our new community. It’s uplifting, supportive, caring, informative…and life changing bc we have something for us. The only issue I have is that it wasn’t around when my children were little!😄😉but I have it now…

Wonderful invention and friendly community
Such a friendly supportive community - even though we are based all over geographically and often complete strangers face to face, it’s so comforting to be able to read and see people who understand and get the challenges of single/solo/parallel etc parenting.
Often you can feel very isolated and alone as a sole parent and this app is such a lifeline. People write such lovely supportive comments and reassurance to each other and lots of motivational posts to help you keep on going 👍🏼
I need to get myself organised to attend a Frolo meet up as often I’ve been double booked with family stuff when local ones are on- but there is such a variety to go to.

When you get divorced or separate your world can fall to pieces. Frolo is there to pick you up and help. People to talk from experience, give you words of comfort or practical advice. When you are ready, you can attend ‘meet ups’ and go for walks, dinner, drinks with or without your children. Like the idea, but not the execution
I signed up after reading mixed reviews.. thought I’d give it a go, sadly I didn’t work out and I deleted my account after about 10 minutes. It feels a bit buggy in places still, the filters (distance, gender) didn’t seem to work and I kept getting recommended people all over the uk of all gender (after setting my filters to 20km and women only), then after I’d deleted my account I’m still getting notifications from the app which makes me wonder if my data has actually been deleted? Very concerning… as an app engineer myself I can understand what might actually be going on here 😬

It logs you out and keeps crashing. Requested refund, such a shame as it’s a great concept. You shouldn’t charge people unless the app works.

The concept is brilliant and I’d love to try it but the app doesn’t work! Tried to sign in repeatedly and an alert pops up saying I’ve been logged out - haven’t logged in to start with! Very frustrating. Please fix 🙏🏾.

Have deleted the app as it doesn’t work, signed back in and all my information had been deleted, tried to set up a new profile and it wouldn’t let me upload a picture. Skipped through that and the app still doesn’t work. Faced with a blank screen whenever I try to view anything. It’s frustrating.

Dating app not developed enough to be live
Really disappointed with the dating app. Revived messages several months after they were sent to me. Liked people and never had any interactions back - first time this has happened on a dating app, and it’s because of the glitches. Only use if you’re not emotionally invested in online dating. And if you’re not short of time. Great idea but needs more development.

Wasted time - half the app doesn’t work!
Took the time to download the app write up my profile, upload my pictures and it won’t let you start using it before a compulsory invite friend step, which is super annoying (what if you don’t want your friends to know that your on a dating app! And it’s also broken so even when you do go through the embarrassing process of inviting your friends it doesn’t work!
Update: now the app has finally opened but after 20x attempts (literally) I’m stuck in a loop where it won’t let me save my profile info and keeps asking me to complete onboarding?!?

If you are a single parent, I strongly recommend this app. very friendly staff when I contacted support about the app. in the app you can share experiences make new friends etc etc… what I like most about this app is the respect and education that people have here. Dating review
why can’t you talk to matches unpaid like every other app around? Tinder / bumble / hinge etc… dating is an emotive subject and to be forced to pay just to talk after you match in 1 month just to continue feels wrong, yes it’s fine if you want to pay to keep searching of course
For this oversight / reason I’m giving it a low App Store score today. Happy to change it if this changes. The app was too buggy and wasn’t worth the money to pay for another month at this point.
Side note: the rest of the Frolo community is great and such a shame the dating side let’s it down.

I found Frolo when I was low and struggling being in my own and I have immediately made some good friends from the app. The best part for me are the meet ups either virtual or in person that allows you to speak to an adult rather than a child and make new friends

I have been on the app a few weeks now and am really loving it.
The support you get from the community and even better then that, the support your are able to give, be it as little as a hello and welcome, to advice or a listening ear, it’s just great!
The Zoom calls are really good, I am getting into things I’ve never done before, which is very interesting and all from the comfort of my own home!
I’m yet to do a meet in person but very much look forward to it!

Frolo has managed to build a supportive inclusive community! It’s great that members are able to chat, join events or share their love of books, cooking etc as well as single parenting challenges! It’s by far the best discovery I made during 2020. Very much enjoying the live takeovers and hearing from inspirational parents.

Supportive Community
The best thing about the Frolo app is it’s purpose, to enable a community of Frolo parents (which includes solo parents of all kinds and co parents), to connect with each other and offer understanding and support.
How the app actually works is developing and changing. I think feedback is welcome here. There is a newsfeed, way to find people geographically close to you, meet up section and chat section. How people use it will be slightly different for all users and it isn’t quite social media but has some commonality with it.
I’ve made a good friend through the Frolo app, who lives nearby and I especially like the book club whose meetings are listed in meet up. Definitely worth trying if you are a Frolo!

As a newly single mum I felt so alone and scared, was I going to be a failer, this app has helped because I have been able to talk to other single parents and listen to their stories, it has helped though difficult days and I’d always nice to talk to others who do get the difficultlies of been a single parent.

Amazing
As a single parent you think you are alone in the struggles you face whether it’s co parenting or solo parenting. On Frolo you really get to connect with people who get you and understand what you are going through. It really does have the most positive and uplifting community of parents I’ve come across and there is no judgement. I’ve joined during COVID so have yet to meet anyone in person but have partaken in the zoom nights and days they hold. Really is such a good place for us single parents. Weather it’s to vent, get tips meet anyone locally for play dates. This is where you need to be :). Highly recommend x

Huge help
A great place to arrange meet ups with other single parents and their children wherever you are in the UK.
The app is easy to use and functionality just “works” - which is great.
You can match by age of children, location, toggle between only wanting to meet Dads or Mums, and also has the option to be Anonymous if you have something hard you want to talk about.
You also have the option to make yourself invisible to your ex-partner should the awkward happen and both parents join the app.

Room for improvement
The app doesn't list people in distance order which would have been the basic requirement, I thought, to meeting people. Not sure what the algorithm is but I can't see the person who sits across from me at work and I know she's on it! Would also be good at be able to add more than one photo.
