Easy to use

App not letting me pay for delivery

I have used the app previously with no issues. But today I tried to order a co-op delivery through Uber Eats, which wouldn’t process my payment.
So, I tried again using the co-op app. The bank acknowledged the payment, but the app stated that there is a network issue, whatever that means. I wouldn’t have had a receipt from the bank if there was a network issue.

Problem solved!!!

After a major issue with the app and it failing to work, with long ongoing discussions either the Co op Support Team and Developers this issue was resolved due to everyone’s hard work and commitment!
The app is back to it’s great use for the User’s 🙌🙌

After initial glitch - Great

Initially all I got was the blue screen with Coop on. I emailed membership help and was informed what to do , which I did and it resolved straightaway. The app didn’t work with my larger text setting and I had to set it to normal. I’m informed that this has been fixed. It was due to Apple’s big update OS26. I’m impressed with the immediate help given by email. Now it’s fixed I’ve used it in the shop and I’m very pleased. Easy!

Despite working perfectly for years it now doesn’t load past the blue co-op screen. Have tried everything including fully deleting the app and re-installing it. No luck. App now working again!

Since the iOS 26 update, the Co-op membership app has not been loading on my iPhone. After some back and forth with their dev team, it’s now possible to get the app loading again by changing the Display Zoom option in the iPhone’s settings to Default. Hopefully there will be an app update soon that avoids having to change the phone’s settings, for all those who require the larger icon/text view. Thank you dev team.

Terrible app

The Coop app will not load in my iPhone 12 mini running IOS 26.1. It just hangs at the opening screen. I've deleted it and reinstalled from the App store. I've disabled the VPN (which has always been a problem with the Coop app). No joy. Any suggestions? I can’t report it through App support as the form won’t allow me to submit anything. Takes age to load up

The app is welcome to feel like you can save money on your shop but the logging out randomly is irritating and slows the time at till down. I also struggle to get the offers to load up at point of sale and often abandon it, it takes so long, despite strong data signal.

Just junk food

The app overall works well, so I can’t give a truly low rating, but tbh the personalised offers literally only serve the purpose of driving me to buy foods I want to buy less. There’s never 50p off fruit and veg, because those already have low profit margins for supermarkets. So no matter how many apples or courgettes I buy, my offers are always for Dr Pepper because I bought it in a meal deal the previous week, or ice cream, or promotional brands I never buy that have bought their way into the scheme to try and entice new consumers.

Good little app

Was having issues with the app when I first downloaded it, but it seems to have been fixed now! Thank you to the development team for listening to the feedback.
The best feature of this app in my opinion is that it allows you to add your membership card to your Apple Wallet, which is very handy for times when you don't have your physical card on you.
The app also allows you to select from 2 offers to use on your membership per week, which includes things such as £1 off your shop or 50p off Kellogg's products. Nice to save little bits of money here and there.
There also seems to be a shopping feature where you can order online and have your shopping either delivered to your or click & collect in store. I haven't used this feature yet so I cannot say how good it is, but it's nice to have these options.

Members are Criminals ?

The frequency with which weekly offers are dishonoured is ridiculous. Once I was told that bananas are not included in the 40p fruit offer, another time I bought precisely the qualifying offer but when it was dishonoured the till operator called the manager who refused to apply it manually in case I came back to the store to use the dishonoured offer again. Thereby I was treated as a criminal, not as a valued “owner” as Coop claim. I complained about this maltreatment to the head office and my complaint was not even acknowledged let alone responded to. As I type this I am eating a sausage roll that should have been 40p off, but guess what? The weekly offer was dishonoured again. So who’s the criminal? Is it I, the disrespected “owner” or is it the management for selling products with false promises of discounts they have no intention of honouring?

Useful but annoying

This app does have some good offers, but as other users have said, it randomly logs you out when using it. Today I opened the app in the store and was accessing my card when it logged me out. I’d accessed the app just before going to the store to choose my offers, as well as opening it in the store, so it’s not as if I’d been logged out for inactivity. Please sort this out as it’s extremely annoying.
Update: Your reply to me makes no sense as it isn’t addressing the problem. You say it logs out automatically from inactivity, but I’ve specifically said in my review that I’d just been using it to choose offers so there was no inactivity. There is a problem with the app and other users on here are telling you the same thing.

USELESS!!!!

STOP SIGNING ME OUT WHEN I OPEN THE APP WHEN IM ABOUT TO USE IT!!! Its no use if im signed out at the till because the app has decided its forgotten my password, yes the app, not me.
Update. This isn’t a time lapse thing where it signs you out when you don’t use it for a certain amount of time, it’s an app issue!! I use this app all week, the issue is it wants to log you out because it doesn’t want you to continue using the same password so it makes you reset the password. Pathetic. Why do this? I’ve got a queue of people behind me at the till and I have to go through a password reset process?? Absolutely ridiculous. This has happened about 5-6 times now, why don’t you just send me a physical card that can be used and not need a stupid unreliable buggy app??

Hopeless

Members deals advertised in store often don’t work even when it says offer hasn’t ended yet on shelf label. This app was so good before they got rid of points and replaced with member deals, Coop IT obviously can’t cope with this new system and weird how we are supposed to be members but were never asked about these massive changes. Weekly deals pretty much pointless and supposed to be aimed at what you buy but aren’t. 12 days of Christmas so disappointing, most deals poor and worked, as soon as a good one with £2 off shop wouldn’t go on my card so can’t use it! Most annoying thing about Coop is that when you want to complain no way to complain about the company just the stores, Coop the stores aren’t the problem, it’s above store level that all the problems seem to be, give me an option to complain about the real issue!Stop hiding behind stores big bosses!!!!

Almost useless recently!

As a member, when you contact them regarding anything it appears to be shrugged off in their replies, yet as someone that cannot get out some days due to a health problem delivery is sometimes also essential…yet they have recently not offered it at all with a massive store very close and I don’t care what their issues are, and all you get is waffle from them?!? Sorry but as a member it’s pathetic, and as a customer guess what, you wonder why you cannot compete with larger supermarkets?!!!
Seriously have a long hard look at how, what and offer customers that would be a cracking starting point!!!
I like the ethics of co-op and sadly let down by massive incompetence it appears on every level!

Coop Fordingbridge

My supermarket shop is always the coop Fordingbridge, whilst shopping at our coop recently with my grandson I had to leave my shopping and the store in the pouring rain and walk to the public toilets as Alfie needed the toilet and our coop has closed theirs, this is disgraceful there are mums or in my case grandparents with children, there are elderly people who might need the toilet, whilst I understand that there are unsavoury people who might not be as clean as the rest of us it may be an idea to keep the toilet locked and allow people who are desperate to use it, I asked in store if there was somewhere i could take Alfie and the answer was a very firm no. This is not a great policy and maybe needs to be reviewed.

I have then been in multiple times and none of the offers have worked, I haven’t been charged member prices and then the receipt is telling me it is collecting points but there isn’t anywhere on the app that is showing me points. Iv now just paid £1 for another coop card as apparently the store up the road has a separate app. So I originally paid for one card after being told it would work to then be told it’s for a different store and have paid full price multiple trips.. maybe make it more clear both on the website and in your stores. Not impressed

Co-op Live Presale is a mess

Three times I’ve tried the Co-op Live Presale feature. It’s the main selling point of the app for me. It’s an awful experience. I’ve followed the instructions of being ready before hand. I’ve joined the queue. Sometimes it says I’m a certain position other times I’ve got straight through. What you get through to is a TicketMaster webpage with a spinner that never stops spinning where there should be something like a button to get through to buy tickets. Others have said that these spinners show if you haven’t clicked through the artist presale link on an email sent to you by the artist. I’m going through the Co-op app. The links in app still say Coming Soon 30 mins after the Presale is meant to have started. Why can’t the site clearly state that you have done something wrong or that tickets have sold out rather than wasting hours of my time in each case. Why did they choose TicketMaster and not a good ticket seller? In each previous case, tickets have immediately appeared on reseller sites. These problems should not exist in 2024. It sounds like people booking for the O2 in London don’t have these issues.

Can’t log in on iphone 11, ios 17.

New phone but can’t log in. I just get “something went wrong, try again”. However, I CAN log in on my old iphone 6 on ios 12 with no problems. Reinstalled the app, signed out on the old phone but still it’s just “Something went wrong. Try again.” The ONLY app that is giving my problems on this new phone. The other 40 or so apps all worked fine. No alternative options offered, so basically I can do nothing here. Well, I can shop somewhere else, I guess. Seriously unimpressed.
NOTE:
Now sorted. Seems the co op app doesn’t like auto-verify, so that needs to be switched off on your phone while you log in.

App locked me out

Been using this App happily for years but recently, maybe since update? I’ve not been receiving any offers on it. It kept saying there was a problem. So I logged out thinking it might refresh it. Also checked to see if latest version but it now won’t let me log back in. I just get a “ something went wrong, try again” as soon as I click on the log in button and before I’ve put in email etc, but it’s been doing this for quite a while now. Now as I can’t log back in and don’t have my physical card, I’m not even getting the special offers at the till. !!!

I’m not sure it actually works

As far as I know, this is the only way to load offers onto my membership card, but the discount never seems to appear on my receipt. Worst though is the spam for their live music events. The switch for turning off ticket notifications doesn’t do anything. So really, the app comes across as a scam to sell tickets rather than legitimately helping with grocery shopping. Like, right now I’ve got grocery offers turned on and Co-op Live turned off, and I’m still getting spam to buy tickets for Dude Perfect. Absolutely no respect for advertising opt-out.
UPDATE: I still have Co-op Live notifications disabled and I just got spam to buy tickets for Billie Eilish. Still no respect for advertising opt-out.
UPDATE: And now they’re begging me to buy tickets for Janet Jackson and Craig David. This is just nonsense for a grocery app.

Saving password

Registering the App, I found that the iPhone or App did not generated a strong password or save the one I chose to keychain.
I have received a response to my review from the developer saying that keychain is supported by the App and giving instructions to set up my phone. However, these instructions do not seem to be consistent with settings in iOS 17.4. I have Autofill activated. Therefore, unless there was a glitch in my phone I maintain that the keychain link did not work. The password box was not recognised as such by the phone.
In addition, the link to contact the developer directs me to the Store contact page, which seems to be exclusively about the grocery shop, and not very helpful.
I have had no problem with operating the App, which I find works quite well.

Grossly overpriced !

Coop Sandwich Kent endeavours to set itself up as a convenience store but it is not by far.
It is simply a Supermarket which operates under the guise of a ‘convenience’ store thereby allowing for ridiculous prices.
Where Co-op Management are in fact stupid is if they actually priced their goods in line with other major supermarkets Everyone in Sandwich would shop there and as such Co-op would make more money than they do currently.
The complaint about Co-op in Sandwich is general and while I would be reluctant to see it sooner or later there will a Tesco or Sainsbury or Lidl in Sandwich and then Co-op will have a real battle of Price war.
How shortsighted of Co-op Management that instead of making the Co-op the ‘go to’ Supermarket in this area they prefer to milk their unique position currently.
Equally the slogan of the Co-op is what contributions and what they do for the local community !
In Sandwich there is an ageing community who no longer drive or who cannot drive far and so have no option -but- to use the Co-op where quite simply people with limited or low income are simply fleeced by Co-op’s high prices.
So Co-op if you - really - want to do something for the Sandwich community - serve- the community by giving the community - honest- prices and in that way Co-op will really be serving the community in the best possible way and indeed themselves with increased income. !

I shop a lot at the Co-Op because there’s a store in my road and I can walk to it, for exercise or take the car if I’m buying a heavy shopping. There’s a large free car park in front of the shop. The nice, friendly assistants often carry a heavy shopping to my car if I ask them. I’m over 80years old. It’s a pity that so often there are so many fresh items missing i.e. fresh soft fruit, green vegetables, fresh fish and meat, eggs, skimmed or semi-skimmed milk. It’s a shame because the shop has a very good catchment area, with a large car park and could have a thriving business if only they can make sure the shelves are kept full and of a more varied fresh food.

I am a Co -op member of staff and I feel that we get great value for money with Co -op products and our membership cards. There are so many deals to have and that you get a different chance. Every week. I have been signing up customers in the last few months, because they don’t realise that if you buy a meal deal for instance, instead of it being £4 it’s £3.50 with your membership so some of my customers I see on a Monday to Friday basis because they’re at work and to me that means your Friday meal deal is for free what is not to like about this car is not only good to their customers and their members. It is also a great place to work.

Card not read

The app is fine. Having your card on your phone, either in the Apple Wallet or in the app, is a great idea. Unfortunately, it can never be read in my local coop. Pity. This review, submitted quite some time ago, has just prompted this response:

My original review still stands, but I am somewhat bemused by this response. I didn’t have any confusion originally. I simply noted that the card on my phone, unlike the physical card, can never be read in my local coop. The response however has left me confused. It doesn’t seem to relate to the issue of the App version of the Membership Card not being read by the scanners.

Not a very rewarding scheme in comparison to others

I’ve been using this app regularly for the past year or so. I had it installed on my phone but never made the use of it as never had a co-op nearby.
I now live in a building which has a co-op directly below it and there it is very convenient however the prices are inflated compared to other supermarkets and also other convenience stores. So I prefer to shop elsewhere wherever I can. It still means however that I go into store roughly 1-2 times per week to (reluctantly) top up.
The loyalty scheme itself sounds rewarding on paper however in the year that I have been using it I have so far only accumulated £5.66 for me to spend in store. I have never spent the balance since I started accumulating it. So for over a year shopping fairly frequently I have accumulated less than £6.
In a much shorter time (around 6/7 months) I used my Asda Rewards membership and have so far accumulated around £25 and they always have ways to boost your balance and earn more ways to get cash back.

Frustrating at times

After signing up for membership, I had high hopes for offers. Turns out if you’re vegetarian there are hardly any meat free alternatives. So most of the time I can’t access the freezer offer, with the exception of a few times.
Also the money earned on the membership card is so frustrating, I’ve explained so many times that I’m aware of the rewards being added only on qualifying coop branded products (I’m not stupid).
But still I get told to provide evidence in a form of a receipt (which is perfectly acceptable). Even when I’ve bothered to email the evidence the rewards don’t get added. So frustrating as the charity I chose to benefit is losing out!

Small, local charities

Lots of people will appreciate the option to support small, local charities. Having worked in grant funding to such groups I know there is wide variation in their accountability and given the number of charities listed it would be a lot of work for Co-op to keep an eye on this especially for the tiny sums of money involved. One of the charities local to me appears to no longer have a functioning website so I’m not sure it’s still operational. I’d perhaps prefer a slightly different scheme, maybe fewer charities each getting a bit more money, hence 4 stars, but I respect Co-op’s ethos. Happy with the card and offers.

Offer problems

I use this app a lot and overall it works great although it would be good if you could alter the two offers you are allowed if you changed your mind in the week. At present once you choose the two offers you are stuck with them for the week. A number of times I would have liked to have changed one or both offers depending on my shopping needs during the offer period. If this can happen then it’s a five star rating for sure👍

Sort out Apple Wallet!

Generally not too bad. It’s just annoying that you can’t add your card to Apple Wallet. There is a button there, but when pressed it just says there is a problem. I will award another star once this is resolved!
Perhaps there should be the ability to add different cards from different societies in the app.
I can’t access the vouchers, as I had my account cloned and my rewards were redeemed by some crook. The customer services were very helpful in resolving the problem, but my account is frozen, for security, so I can collect rewards but not redeem them until I reactivate my account.

A little lacking

I’ve got a heap of receipts to claim rewards from so headed to the website to claim them. Can’t login as it says the page you are looking for is unavailable, which it has been saying for weeks. So I thought let’s try the app, surely I can do the same there. Nope. I can have the QR in the app scanned at the till but not ability to add from til receipts. Grrr Then I thought it would be handy if you could access the card from Apple Wallet. Nope, you have to open the app separately. Final thing I noticed is that despite my card already being linked to a charity, the app says I haven’t so I have to select again. Otherwise it seems fine but a bit half assed.

Vouchers have not working for months

vouchers have not been working for me for months. Apparently there is some issue where they don’t work at the same time as using student discount, so every week after trying to use the vouchers when they don’t work I message co-op and ask them to apply the credit manually to my co-op card.
Sometimes I don’t bother using the vouchers because it’s so much hassle to get the credit applied, I’m definitely shopping less in the co-op now because of it.
Please fix this.

Why you should support your Coop

I have become a huge fan of the Coop over the years, the food and goods are reasonable priced and their on site bakery products are second to none in my wide experience. I also like the community project support it offers quite literally putting back to its immediate community, I also like the way it staffs its stores using well seasoned experienced people and younger people who are branching out to make their own lives, the business really lives up to its name, in fact I may even approach them for a part time job myself when I retire at 60 😁

It’s ok

Had the co-op membership card for a long time. Got the app when it came out. Don’t need to use phone for app in-store as the “rewards” are stored on my co-op membership card so I hand that over to be scanned and the offers come off bill. Recommend getting membership card.
However noticed now that some weeks the offers are for what I purchased the previous week so don’t need them again for a while or none of the offers apply at all. Also why give so many offers and only chose two (actually the ad, I feel, makes it look like you can chose from all the offers!
But still it’s an ok app and, to be honest, one of the best and the fact I can use it with my physical co-op membership card is even better.

Great service

Have used the coop for years, both stores and bank, the ethics of the coop has always been in the back of my mind, unlike other big stores, it’s not all about giving the top earners another top up to an already bulging bank account, but sharing the profits amongst those that need the help whilst ensuring the best for the company, staff and above all the customer. Keep up the good work and you’ll always have me as a user of your services.

Good but Apple Wallet button missing

I think the offers have always worked for me, but I admit to not checking my receipt very often.
However I can’t add my card to Apple Wallet. The button depicted in the App Store screenshot just isn’t there. I have the latest app and iOS versions installed.
It’s not a huge bother as I always open the app when I’m in store to browse and choose offers, so I can just then scan it at the till just as easily as Apple wallet would be, but still , it would be nice if advertised features worked. I see I’m not the only person with this issue.

First timer

This is the second time I have used this app and it seems so easy, I just received my card through the mail yesterday and I intend using it today after work. This app seems very easy to use. Other supermarkets have promotions and gimmicks but they all seem a bit complicated. To people of a certain age, we need things to be simple and this looks easy enough.

Great app except for the wallet issue

This is a well thought out app but it needs a couple of improvements:
1) The app doesn’t open if you haven’t got a good signal - it just stays on the splash screen doing nothing. My local Coop has a terrible signal so I can’t use it in store.
2) The Coop Card keeps disappearing from the wallet. This is exacerbated by the previous issue as I can’t open the app to add it back in. Does the card expire from the wallet after it’s first use or something?

Useful but irritating

This is a useful app for me as the Co-op is the closest food store to our house, but I find that it asks me to login every time I go to the shop and doesn’t seem to remember who I am or allow Faceid verification. Today I was able to pin down part of the problem as the Free WiFi in our Co-op didn’t have internet connectivity. The error message indicated that the app was trying to launch Safari for the login (rather than Chrome, which is my default browser). As I don’t allow Safari to use mobile data this fails…

Uncooperative

So much for having an App and a Card. Turns out there are at least 2 different membership schemes which are regionalised and don’t cooperate!! One uses bar codes the other Q-codes. So you can avail yourself of the so called offers from the coop unless you in the right shop with the right card! Who knew. So it really is pointless and I’ll stick with universal nationwide rewards from Tesco and Waitrose. Only found this out once at the self service checkout (another oxymoron as you always need help) and it wouldn’t read App Q-code. Joke as guy at the Market Harborough branch said the was the other type of coop across town!! Not even regionalised.

Cooperative

A very community based cooperative is assuring I support local community members and incentives in local community. Wide range of addictional servived are at competitive prices. All deals of the day are absolutely beautiful 🤩 and amazing to pick from from pint of milk at 50p less to simply £1 off my shopping 🛍 and 50p of sweets 🍫 bakery 🧁 I am shaft. I used cooperative locally for over 3 years and finally now had got the card and the app with all discounts and choice of matters to support. As much as 2p of each pound goes on support of my chosen field of community development…. It’s such a brilliant 🤩 community solution at positive focused and strong 💪 community… there is strong 💪 spirit!

Nice idea if actually worked

I much prefer the app to printed off little vouchers which I lose or don’t use before they expire. The app lets you choose 2 offers before you start shopping (you have to choose two even if you’re not using both). They are based on your shopping so should be relevant.
The reason for my 2 star rating is that it has only worked on one occasion. One time I scanned it and on the app it recognised I’d used my offers but the price I paid was not reduced. When I questioned the cashier she kept saying I had received money off on offers but obviously didn’t know what I was talking about.
Every other time I scan my phone, it beeps, the cashier says yes it’s done it and then charges me the same price it was before I scanned. None of the staff understands how it works and when I explain it hasn’t taken the money off for the offers I chose, they just shrug. So then I am annoyed that I deliberately bought something I wouldn’t have otherwise just because I thought I would get money off.

There’s a problem Try again

My weekly offers email arrived this morning so; as usual; I signed into my account on their website and chose my offers. While on the website I saw the recommendation to download the app so I could keep my card in my Apple wallet. I’m not a fan of filling my phone with shopping apps but I liked the idea of keeping my card electronically so I downloaded it. Tried to sign in and got the message that “There’s a problem. Something went wrong. Try again.” I get the same message every time I try again. I also get the same message when I try to sign in via the website on my phone even though I’d only signed in 10 minutes before. Pointless app that’s now causing me problems I’ve not had before.

Reliable and good value

The Co-op has never let me down. The quality of its products many locally or British sourced can be relied on. I rarely buy processed food. Their fresh meat, fruit and vegetables are good, tasty especially their Irresistible range well worth the extra cost. There is no waste at all. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. I can buy everything we need for the dry goods, store cupboard, and household cleaning etc. My husband buys wine in the Coop too.

Works well except for donations

I live in Scotland so when I installed the co-op app I expected to see local charities or charities in Scotland. But nope I get charities for Wales, south of England, Aberdeen but no where near me and the funny thing is at one point I did get charity’s near me but I had not finished setting up the app when I went up to Aberdeen made some purchases and used my co-op got back home(near Edinburgh) and now all it will suggest in places in the south of England. I have never once purchased anything in the south of England and it has my address and everything and still doesn’t work.

Great app, would be amazing if you could scan or input receipt offers into it.

I previously gave 4 stars and said I’d give it 5 if they made it compatible with Apple wallet, which they have, so as agreed 5 star review.
It dawned on me the other day it would be great if you could scan the barcode of an offer that is sometimes printed off when you make a purchase. I have a minimalist wallet and it doesn’t have room for paper. So I quite often forget about them. Would be great if you could incorporate that, or it when you made a purchase and you got an offer, it updated it to your membership. Keep up the good work

Complete con and rip off!!

Paid for the app to get the £5 off when you spend £15 or more in store (advertised across the store in several places). Deal wouldn’t work, store wouldn’t uphold the offer despite seeing it clearly advertised. Customer service assistant shouted at me, swore about me to the manager in front of me and accused me of stealing (jumping to conclusions) when I said I didn’t want to pay the full price but put items back. The manager refused to assist.
Why have I just paid for this app?? Not happy at all.
Why have I paid for this app to con me and rip me off when other store cards are free and actually stand by the offers advertised??

Load or rubbish

Does nothing everything try and do “something went wrong” I have 0 points after spending hundreds in the coop in the last year? Thought I’m doing something wrong so try and change details yet doesn’t work number not recognised yet I’ve checked double checked got my wife to check and it is correct. Awful customer service from the coop online / card team too I spent months visiting the coop each time asking for a membership form and they didn’t have any. I emailed customer service asking for an application pack and didn’t ever receive a reply. Finally got one in store after paying the money and signing up I finally get my card 10 months after trying to get hold of one and have been using ever since in store. Today I try and log in on the app for the first time and details are incorrect?

HANDY LOCAL SHOP WITH GREAT STAFF

It’s so convenient to have the Coop around the corner. Really handy if you look properly there’s lots of bargains. I always use the personal offers they send me on the app (2 per week). They look at what I buy and send me money off!! Staff are always friendly and helpful. The only bad thing I can say is that there has been lots of shoppers in without masks and no one seems to question them. I have sometimes felt vulnerable. I did email the co op about this but they didn’t even bother to answer!!!

Card registration

I’ve got a card. I’ve meticulously put the 18 digit number into the app to register. Doesn’t work no matter how many times I do it. It will ask if I’ve inputted the correct number, YES, yes I have about a million times the same number, the number on my card the 18 digit number on my card that I have had for years. I can use the card in store. I get emails for this card telling me my dividends and offers etc. I can go on line and check my card. I just thought using this app instead of taking my card out of my wallet every time would be easier but alas my 18 digit number that works on everything else doesn’t work on this app. Mind boggling.

Weekly saves!!

The Co-op’s weekly savings offers are Customer Friendly, Purse Happy, & ‘Immediate’ - It is so easy too! - just download the Co-op App - it’s Free!, then choose two items each week from a list of items which most of us buy in the week, items on offer change every Monday & expire the following Sunday at midnight).
The amount ‘off’ is immediately credited onto my Co-op Membership Card & when I shop I receive money off my chosen items! Simple, fast, & appreciated by your Customers!! Thank you Co-op another great idea!!

Nightmare logging in

All was working well enough - though why you can inly pick 2 product-based offers is beyond me - until I asked my wife if she had downloaded the app on her phone as I was using her card on my app.
She downloaded the app and used my sign-in but got a password error (well it just says try again) so we reset the password and it worked on my phone but not in hers. We reset it again and even though we showed the password on both phones, we couldn’t now log on to either phone or the web-based account management screen.
I can’t believe it is so difficult to reset a password or use two phones on the same account.

Great app, doesn’t always work though?

I love the app when I can use it.
Easy to use and select what you want and fast to load into your account to use coupons immediately. I like how easy it is to view your balance and check things within the app.
Sadly over the past couple of weeks I’ve found myself booted out of the app after work when I just want to load it, and it keeps saying it can’t load my membership card. Doesn’t happen every day but it’s happened twice this week already and it stops me from going down to the shop as I just go sometimes to use the app. Doesn’t always fix itself again until midnight and by that time it’s too late.
An annoying pop up when you get to the till too (the ‘get more offers next week’ pop up just after selecting your offers is unnecessary and wastes time when I just want to move on and scan my card at the till). Could just remove it and still leave it with the same notice on the coupon selecting screen.

Depends on your luck!

My wife’s installation of this app is just great, as is mine — when it works. Unfortunately, every day or so I get an email that says the system has detected some unusual behaviour, so I’m blocked out, and the only way back is to reset my password. Four times in a week is ridiculous! Best to avoid if you get problems, at least until they get a fix.
Update at 1 Dec: A couple of weeks ago I received a phone call about this. [Before posting the original review I had what the developer suggested just yesterday, and sent an email, which the developer was not aware of!] During the call we established that the probable cause of my problem was that I was trying to use both my phone app and the PC version at different times, depending on which was the more convenient. This is what I do with banking, for example. But the Co-op app doesn’t support this properly. And the developers evidently don’t talk to their customer service department. Only plus is that the app works on my latest phone, and saves me money!
