Some way to go
At a most basic level this should work as an effective map that assists navigation between venues. It didn’t manage this. We gave up on the app and resorted to the programme, a head torch and googlemaps.

Needs improvement for next year
I was disappointed that there was no list view option. I found that was it really clumsy to have to click onto each star to plan my evening.
Maybe the event numbers rather than stars on the map, then when there is a cluster together you can differentiate.
A few guided routes would be nice.
As mentioned in other reviews, the ability to favourite the things you want to see would be handy and maybe a calendar for timed performances.
It would have been easier if the map centred on your location.
I found the paper copy much more useful than the app which is a shame. I hope some improvements are added for next year.

Terrible App
Absolutely terrible app. It’s extremely laggy on my iPhone X and crashes instantly in my girlfriends XS! It’s genuinely barely usable, I’ve resorted to taking screenshots of the maps and using them instead.

Waste of money
I bought the app thinking that there would be useful info in it, such as times of performances (some things are only on once an hour so wanted to plan our night). It doesn’t have any more info than what is on the council webpage. Don’t bother.

Very slow to load!
Hello, unfortunately due to network issues (lack of reception in the city centre) the interactive map was very slow to load, plus it was raining so it meant I was unable to fully explore all the light installations because it took too long to find them.
A suggestion for next year would be to have a quick reference guide using the image of the light installation and location first, then click on it to find out more info of artists and map reference.
Also, a route of the parade would have been nice, such as times and locations.

The app is very slow... it takes ages to open things on the map or move around.

Pointless as no list
Map is good, however, there isn’t a list of what is on. You need to click on stars to see item and then workout what time. Makes it impossible to plan your night. Don't waste your money on the app.

Could be great with a tweak!
Please can you include an option to favourite the things you want to see? You could change the colour of the stars for the ones you’ve favourited which would make it easy to see what you want to go visit 😊

Discriminatory
Guys, this app doesn’t work with zoom and large text on iPhone. Are you serious ? I can’t read the paper copy so I had to buy the app and it doesn’t work. Not cool. Don’t you check for accessibility???

Bit of a faff to use
Though I’d go paper-light this year, plus an app on your phone should be easier to see in the dark. Should have stuck with the paper copy. Would have been better if there was a contents page. Currently you have to click on stars on a map which brings up a brief description of the attraction. Would have made things easier if you could see what the attractions were instead of clicking on all of the 47 stars. Would make planning much more simpler!
