This game is a good game because it helps if you want to be a rugby player.But sometimes it is a guess game . The kicks are not very close to real life because players could easily make some kick the game gives but when you do it you miss🥲

So I LOVE playing this game but maybe in 23 they could bring back the any team friendlies or the different cups but the thing I really want is for the career mode to be back.

This is still the best rugby game out there although there are a few glitches (which would be simple to rectify) which make the game annoying for what would be predominantly rugby following players of this game -

1. From the scrum, when you pass out to the outside half (or any other player) he can only run straight which is clearly a glitch.

2. Occasionally, a player will not pass the ball to the next player along but simply lob the ball 30 yards behind him for no reason.

3. The opposing losing team will just kick it out into touch when 80 minutes sounds, even if there is a point in it.

4. There are times when the opposition kick the ball into touch from loose play and then they get the throw in.

5. In World Cup mode, “New Zealand” is plastered everywhere when next year’s World Cup is in France.

As I say, annoying glitches but all in all the best rugby game out there at the moment.

Perhaps they could go one further and do a 2023 Rugby World Cup version or even a British and Irish Lions option as well. That would please the rugby purists!

This game is certainly showing how outdated it is as many mechanics in the game are inconsistent, illogical pains which just take away from an experience which is generally enjoyable.

Precisely no progress from older versions. Attacking play is limited to running and passing with very limited ability to sidestep or for supporting players to change direction without the ball and so far as I can work out, no ability to use a dummy pass. Box kicking from rucks is shown as possible but I haven’t managed to get it to work and rucks themselves are boring and predictable because they’re always won by the team in possession and there’s no point putting players into a ruck hoping for a turnover. It won’t happen.

Defence is simplistic. You run into a player to tackle them. Only you don’t because by the time you’ve got there they’ve passed the ball. The AI pattern of play is predictable, attacking in a narrow channel with passes back and forth and never moving the ball wide. Then there’s the ludicrous insistence of the AI insisting on kicking the ball into touch as soon as the whistle blows for half or full time regardless of position on the field or score line. I had the crazy situation of the AI team being in the act of diving to score and then kicking the ball to touch rather than scoring a try. If you want a realistic rugby simulation game, don’t waste your time. If you’ve never really played or watched rugby then you may not spot the inconsistencies or niggles but I’d imagine the limited gameplay will soon frustrate you anyway. A bottom-up rethink needed.

This game is incredible, me and my son play it. I wouldn’t play if you don’t understand rugby.

When playing the opponents just randomly take the ball and at the end of every half the game runs over a long while and only till the ball is kicked out then half time or full time is shown. Maybe at half time the game should stop till a tackle not till like 5 mins later that the team scores two or three tries and then game is finished very annoying and stupid

Absoloute scam, when this game doesn’t want you to win you don’t win no matter how well you play. It will force your players to run in opposite directions and all sorts. Sort it out

Good fun game for rugby love it

I love this game. I am now playing in a World Cup with New Zealand and I love the game. I think that All Stars(A-S) is a good name. My only complaint is if you can see details when you are making substitutions, have one gold player when you start and if the players look more like the real life selves. I would also like if we can train.

Quite often seem to struggle against teams far worse rated that me. I assume the developer is Welsh given that Wales are almost impossible to beat regardless of your team rating!

I love winning

Brilliant game but takes so long to progress through the leagues and I get bored easily, also really disappointed that the challenges were taken away from previous versions. The adverts are fine but the gold clash advert makes it impossible to close it after it’s finished, only way to close is to close the app and then lose the game result you just played which is so frustrating.

Whenever you play World Cup or and game mode the other team not matter how bad they are , are 1009 times faster fix it. Or else

This game is pretty good and I’m finding myself nearly addicted but I think that they could definitely add in a ref and Advantage, Obstruction, Grubber Kick and Penalty Try, maybe have opportunities to fight in the game to make it a trifle more interesting but only if the customer presses a specific button. Make the matches somehow harder as it is so easy to win every single match by a landslide and make longer. Injuries should occur inside a match rather than off the field as this is more realistic and creates a use for subs. There is no offside line so that needs to be corrected. Only the scrum half should be able to take the ball from a Lineout, Scrum or Maul not any other player. Let Fiji do the Cibi and Tonga do the Cipi Tau and Samoa do the Siva Tau as it is unfair that only New Zealand get to do the Haka and is as important currently to those two nations as the Haka is to New Zealand and can be construed as offensive that it is so exclusive for the All Blacks. Instead of a country’s “B - team” it should say U20s and their respective club. When you upgrade a player then make it obvious that their skills make them better players. Speed and Stamina are made evident and are completely fine so don’t change but e.g Kicking should mean that said player has a further range, Power or Tackling should mean more colossus tackles where they knock the player back and more seatbelt tackles. Technique should mean better passes and offloads. Be able to elect MOTM at the end of every match and Player of the Season at the end of the last match of every tournament. The Opposing team should make substitutions. Yellow and Red cards should be added. TMO should be added for all things like fights to get reds and yellows not just when you’ve been awarded a try. Disallow some tries to make it more realistic but only after consulting the TMO for any obvious problems, Definitely not just for the fun of it. Another thing you could do is be able to name a stadium once you’ve bought it, and can name it anything you want, but only up until you reach the International country stadiums like Twickenham which you can't rename but buy as per usual. Instead of it saying Scotland Stadium, Ireland Stadium e.t.c it should say BT Murrayfield, Aviva Stadium. Add the Mark. Also WAAAY too many Legendaries in teams and just because the Teams are good, doesn’t mean that every player has to be a legendary. E.G, For England, Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje and Jonny May keep as Legendaries but rate down players like Dan Cole and Charlie Ewels but keep in squad legendaries can be on the bench and holds in team instead if it is starting XV.Also it is ridiculous that you can rename a player, just keep their birth name and deal with it. Only have true legendaries. Obviously England should have a few more than lets say Spain but just not the entire squad and make it varied. For Example, individually rate every single player have a good few more so Legendaries are a lot more valuable and rare. Keep the Six Nations permanently. Add other competitions like Pacific Nations, Super Rugby, European Champions, Lions Tour, Test matches, Premiership e.t.c. Team ratings are way behind, update more frequently and for Six Nations e.t.c put in the starting XV of the actual team no extras, just the starting and subs team. Also, Do something clever to be able to intercept passes. Also, update the teams as I played Exeter but none of the players there are actually Chiefs. Have all current Premiership teams in one top league which there is no way up from and have the option to play as one of the current premiership teams and play the Premiership but still have your own team. Update teams and players. Only have legendary players in international teams not e.g C. Alexander from Coventry. Add in National Anthems, bigger cheers from fans when make a break or score a try. Instead of running halfway across the pitch when u cross the line just score where u are. If you want to score under the posts then you have to run there before you touchdown on the try line. Use actual team names like Saracens, Harlequins, Wasps e.t.c. Have a shop where u can buy new international players daily for the GAME’S MONEY not actual money. Definitely don’t get an International player every time you play a tournament as it’ll make the game way too easy and a lot less fun. It’s ridiculous that Wingers sometimes can step up to take a drop goal, So only have Fly-Halfs, Inside Centres and Fullbacks step up to take them. Same applies for Conversions and Penalties, as in areas like New Zealand, Beauden and Jordie Barrett take Conversions and Penalties as well as Fly-Halfs so it should at least give you an option on the screen to choose which Back to take the kick and can give some other players better stats. Instead of just giving the good teams legendaries no matter what just because their teams are good then individually rate players as some ratings are ludicrous. Players I have never heard of are higher rated than Teddy Thomas, George Ford and Willi Heinz, Even though some are subs then they should still be legendaries. Have a wider variety of try scoring instead of just a fall on the ground, a simple placing on the floor or a Chris Ashton maybe slide along the ground a bit, a forward / side roll or the best of all, possibly when a player scores close to the touchline then maybe do a dive and put the ball down with hands and then roll into touch or into a forward roll. Potential here but I am let down that no one appears to be listening to any of our suggestions.

I am still getting into the game but my first impression is that it really needs a training ground. Along with others who post in the associated forums, I cannot work out how to take a place kick. As it is I only ever get to attempt one in a match - and I have never got the ball to reach the posts. A practice ground would help!

Updated review August 2021: desperately want this game to be good, but it’s atrocious! How a team of developers allowed this out of the building is baffling - they should be ashamed, also the App Store for allowing it. It resembles very little of a rugby game. I’m not sure what planet they live on to create such a terrible wind function. Number ratings mean nothing because they game will just decide for you who will win. The QA process (if there was one) was clearly lacking and despite all the feedback on here, no changes have been made.

Updated review June 2021: Again, thought I’d check in to see if the developers had checked in on the ‘real’ reviews. Looks like they haven’t. Totally unrealistic game, possibly developed by people who’ve never played/watched rugby before… or perhaps even never developed an app before. Avoid.

Updated April: Re-downloaded... developers clearly not reading the reviews stating just how appalling their work is on this. World Cup: win every game by approx 30 or 40 points, then final vs England and don’t touch the ball. This bears no resemblance to the sport of rugby. Avoid at all costs!

Updated review: app now deleted. Final straw was playing a game where I had zero possession of the ball. No point in playing this game in its current format. Will come back once the developers have finished it.

Free app, however as a rugby game, the fundamentals of rugby do not exist in this game. It’s as if they haven’t finished developing it yet. There doesn’t seem to be an obvious training mode so trying to work out how to kick at goal, do a scrum, do a line out, is only available in matches. Defending is hit and miss. No rhyme or reason as to whether you get turnover, or which of your players will tackle - just sit back and wait until you get the ball again really. And after a while you run out of energy, so have to wait half an hour to play again? A lot of other reviews mentioning favouritism towards England, which I disagree with - it’s any team. If the game wants you to lose, you will do, regardless of team. Yes it’s free, but lots missing.

Overall the game is amazing but it does have some bugs like score a try and there still could be a foul making a scrum and it will not stop

It’s so obvious when the game wants your opponent to win - dropped passes, misplaced passes, misthrown line outs even when you input correctly, bogus dangerous tackle calls, missed tackles from perfectly-capable, high-rated fullbacks, rucks that turnover after just two phases it’s a mess.

I used to enjoy it, but now with a team that’s rated 80+, the game very inconsistently differs between 90+ teams you can score 5 tries against, to 80-flat teams who score multiple tries against you after two dozen phases and rucks where even if you have all your forwards in said ruck you STILL won’t win - it makes the flaws so much worse.

Also, people clicking to return to main menu after a match rather than clicking on that “watch ad for double rewards” button STILL have to watch ads, and I’m pretty sure that’s illegal.

Ruined a promising game.

Quit edit. Still a great game but is there any way to turn off the “help prompts” while playing. It’s a little annoying and it seems to happen at important parts of the game. I get it’s needed for new player Les to show them what to do but for people who have used the game a lot, it’s a bit of a hinderance.

This is a great app. I haven’t given 5 starts as there are a few little bug but overall, this is a great game when you get used to playing it. There are a few little issues such as the passing seems to be a little hit or miss (I have fat fingers, so that may just be me). I love that there isn’t an ad every 5 seconds and I hope it stays like that. I don’t mind opting to watch adds to gain energy and to get the rewards. In fact, I probably watch more ads that way as when they are forced on me I tend to delete that app. I’m still getting used to the game, but it would be great if there was a way to buy new players rather than winning them from tournaments. Just a suggestion.

First off, it’s great to get a game that involves the rugby union rules. However, it starts of great - you get a walk through of the controls and seem to win comfortably BUT after that initial season you are promoted into the next tier and it seems lose almost every match with the opposition managing to steal the ball at the ruck. Perhaps I’m just not very good but it’s very disheartening and I’ve lost interest really.

The biggest draw back is the reward packs - you have to wait hours to open these unless you want to pay real money. The energy restoration is also a long winded process.

This game has a god base but I think some tweaks would make it even better.

With so few rugby games available on any platform I don’t like knocking this one. It’s a good bit of fun, but hugely frustrating. On a simple note, it seems the developers have never seen any of the England team so while nice to have the names, it really doesn’t create any connection when they are so wildly wrong. Even player dynamics, like Jonny May being caught by an opposition 2nd row or Manu Tuilagi being flattened by the tiny scrum half, just isn’t realistic in any sense.

The game interface is clumsy and often doesn’t react when an action is requested, or does the wrong thing. The line out mechanics are a joke and the scrum misses the opportunity for attacks from the base which would be a good dynamic to add. The tackling defensive play is a button mashing exercise.

Also quickly hit a limit where you need to spend real money to progress.

Do you guys check the reviews? My post about the hint pop up appearing every now and then is still there when i posted about it 3 months ago, someone else also mentioned it.

The ads are unbelievable; at the end of a game, there’s an option to either continue or sit through an ad to get double the money, but now even if you press ‘continue’ half the time an unskippable ad pops up. I just had to sit through a 40 second tik tok one. Oh yeah and if you leave and rejoin to manually skip it, you have to restart the game you just played. Nice one.

Also, i was playing as Ivory Coast which i guess are meant to be the worst team in the world cup, but are they really so bad that your player literally runs away from the attacker? Come on guys surely this can be fixed; makes it literally impossible to beat the top teams.

Overall this is a good game with some frustrating minor in game issues I would think should be easy to fix and would improve the overall rating. Firstly, it’s annoying when you are just about to score but your player turns sharply to run towards the post just before the line and you to end up being tackled. Could the developers not either include a ‘dive/score try’ button or at least make sure the players don’t turn before the actual line. This is highly annoying.

The second thing is the random hint/instructions on how to dodge that pop up a few time a game, these really kill momentum when you’ve just broken the line and it would be much better if these were removed.

The only other thing is the pay system / limits on game time - personally I would much prefer is you just had to pay £5-£10 for the game and that’s it (as was the case with previous versions) but I guess that’s just the way it is. Surely there can’t be many people paying the absurd amounts for energy and extra cash..?!?! I would think it better to release a free trial version to entice people in then charge a one off fee for the game, which overall is of a good standard.

I really enjoy the game but there is a total bias towards anything with the name England in it. You can’t get a turnover, they always get a last min try, never miss a conversion or they score a drop goal from the half way line. Seriously annoying unless you are actually playing as them.

Would be great if you could fix the offside aspects I keep getting tackled by guys from a off side position. Also stop telling me to swerve you lose tries as a result

It is a very good game but it would be better if the AI was a bit better so you don’t get like 35-0 against New Zealand! Another thing is that it would be better to get better players after winning the six nations or World Cup and get to pick the player you would like or need, it would be better if you could have unlimited energy and upgrading player from gold to purple was cheaper in cash. One last thing is I personally think that a live mode would be great and you could create your own unions and leagues and play each other. I think that would be a great introduction. Still my favourite game on my phone though and heaps of fun.

All in all i love this game. As an avid rugby fan its very fun and building up your team is a great feature. There are, however some improvements to be made. I played the world cup, and picked south africa, then when i went to play my first game, it was the australian team in south africa kit and it was very strange 🧐. Also i think you should get players from winning the six nations aswell as the world cup. Also, it takes ages to get up to the higher leagues and i think it should be sorted. An online thing aswell might be good? Overall i would still recommend this game.

I believe this game is without a doubt the best rugby game on the app store, however it isn’t without its flaws. The most annoying thing for me is there is little to no organisation; the backs are constantly in the ruck and the forwards, more often than not, end up being the only players in the back line. This takes away from the authenticity for me a little because I would rather have George Ford clearing my lines than Tom Curry. Another issue is that the game can end up being rather samey. Shipping the ball from flank to flank can lead to a try at least every other phase. Rugby Nations has great potential but it needs to become a bit more tactical, at least in terms of positioning, to reach the upper echelons.

This could be a great game but it isn’t. You can’t control your players when defending. With 4 people at the ruck you rarely get a turnover. AI team will happily run through or around your players as they stand still, even when you’re pressing the tackle button. You can’t realistically get a game score higher than 14-7. The wind is a joke, 0mph straight to 17mph in 3 seconds. When you FINALLY get the ball, the AI teams always turnover the ball when you’re attacking within 3-4 phases and then have it for 15 or more phases. The game could be good but these issues completely turned me away.

This is a great action-packed game, it’s exiting and modern with great graphics. A big problem is that energy runs out quickly and it takes a while to load, I think the game should have a training mode to practise cool techniques and to pass the time whilst energy is loading. And the pack are so expensive and it’s really hard to get good players in the league and in the international competitions. I think the game would be good with a English league or French league etc mode.

Mode where you can play with your friends. And the energy is super annoying too i have fun playing it and i run out of energy, the enrgy should be infaninte to make it better, and one more thing that some teams are over raited and they always win so its boring playing the same team over and over

Great rugby game. Definitely the best union game out there. However there are a few feature that could be added/changed that would improve it.

Firstly, in the minor league where you build your own team, this would be better if you could remove the original players from the squad and set the cap of minimum players in a team to 23 instead of keeping those initial players to ensure there is a starting line up.

Secondly, it would be good to add the premiership, top 14, pro 14 and super rugby into the mix. I think having this feature would expand the game massively and people may enjoy controlling their own club teams.

Lastly, a management style feature could also be fun. Implementing tactics to guide your team could be a cool feature.

Aside from the feature the game is good, but bugs need fixing and some rules need changing. E.g. if an attacking team kicks the ball out into the oppositions dead ball zone passes the try area, the play gets brought back to the where the ball was kicked and is the originally defending teams put in at a scrum. I know rugby has been changing rules a lot recently so can be hard to keep updating these/keep track.

I am currently playing with a 96 rated team. The AI of the opposition rarely scores more than 7 points against me and could do with improving the attacking and defensive tactics e.g. box kicking and using deeper lines. The AI of the players team needs improvement as well they constantly block the ball carrier when the ball is kicked deep off kick off and often don’t get deep enough to pass the ball out of congested areas.

Could we have an inclusion from the rest of the world and not just six nations teams in the club league games. Would like to play New Zealand and RSA

The game has great potential, however it desperately needs some fixes. The opposition always forward pass and nothing gets flagged by the ref! The line outs are just not worth attempting as the slide arrow does not move! Causing you to throw to opposition all the time! The money in the game is very poor and needs upping so you can actually afford to buy players/training points. I quite often find you have a really good battle of a game and you get rewarded £50! What the actual! It’s quite insulating really! Any way fix the issues and you’ve got yourself a good game!

Really enjoying the game,rugby is a very complex game with many rules, so I can appreciate it’s not going to be playable really with trying to factor in everything. But I find the time is far to short , maybe have a short medium and long 80 minutes so the player can decide, I agree with previous remarks, paying for energy is a waste of money and not going to happen , you can’t play a tournament with waiting to top up energy is ridiculous , but on the whole an enjoyable game .

The game itself is good and there’s nothing else around like it, however it does have its problems especially with the gameplay. If the game wants you to lose, you will lose and there’s nothing that can be done, but the scripts for you to lose are very obvious as nothing goes your way. It becomes a matter of luck if you win rather than skill. This is obvious when you AI get like 15 phases and you’ll turn it over after having 3! Also the wind makes it very difficult to make any kicks as it always seems to change mid kick. Overall decent game considering it’s free.

I am enjoying this game but there’s too many bugs. The amount of times opposition AI controlled players have run past as my players run the opposite direction or stand still is frustrating. This is while pressing the chase buttons too. Also the wind is unrealistic. It can rapidly go from 0mph to 17mph in under two seconds! So when you account for the wind and take your kick, it then suddenly drops half way through defeating the whole point of accounting for the wind in the first place. The skill of it is removed and it just becomes about luck. Also, it’s annoying how phases of play work. I can be playing at home, against a team that is below my OVR and I get three or four phases of play while the AI controlled opposition can get up to 15! It applies playing away too. They get 15 or so and I get three or four. There needs to be more balance between home and away advantage or else it’s just wasteful. Just little bugs like this can remove the enjoyment a bit so if they fixed them it would rate as a top rated end game for me.

Glitchy AF, can’t ever win a scrum, sometimes when I open packs and win players I won’t get them in my team, play a whole 6 nations/World Cup tournament dominating every game and end up winning some average bronze player no ones ever heard of, won a load of gold match packs (around 40/50) but never had a gold player despite the game allegedly claiming there is an 8% chance of getting one (should’ve had 3/4 by now if the % was right). Basically false advertising and a whole heap of glitches/bugs mean all the time I’ve spent on this game have given me nothing to show for it than an average team of silver players from teams no one has heard of! Lot of improvement needed

Firstly and most importantly I stopped playing the game because of the ads and requirement to ‘have power’ to play a game. I would so much rather just have paid for game and have the ability to play whenever I want without adverts.

I hate the addition of things like ‘medical packs’ and ‘cold coins’ and ‘game money’. All that stuff is just unnecessary noise. Call me old fashioned but what I want from a rugby game is to play rugby matches between teams I can recognise. It would be great to have the ability to create your team as well - even if it is just naming the players.

The gameplay is really quite good for a mobile app and it is fun to play. It could be a brilliant, brilliant game if the above is addressed, along with the few glitches in the game that are mentioned in the other comments.

Game has brilliant improvements since the last generation however it’s shocking that it has become riddled with ads that are so cancerous. I think everyone would prefer if you could just pay £3/4 for the full game. I do not care about adds promoting gambling websites in any way shape or form. Also one little extra comment. Who at your game developers thought it would be a good idea to only let you play a match if you have energy? Worst decision you lot have ever made. I am considering deleting the app because of this. I had such high hopes after RN18 that you guys would become the ‘mobile FIFA of Rugby’ however I have been quite frankly, let down. Thus is an appalling decision. I will not download RN20 or 21 if these problems are not addressed.

Good game however, it is infuriating. CP team will have up to 28 phases of play & never miss a kick yet you will get 5 phases max. Your players are forever dropping the ball or not passing when you want them too.... it will take a long time to gain promotion. Your player can be the only one near the ball but will run around in circles until the oppos get there, usually resulting in them getting a try..... When the app decides you are going to lose there is nothing you can do about it, they will win... All said and done it kills a bit of time so it’s ok & it’s the only rugby game out there so you have to make do!!

This game is very good but I think two things it needs is...

Training not the upgrading players but like free play so you choose either your team or an international team and have multiple options so attacking practice defending practice free play line outs ,conversions scrums all those kind of things and trading so this could be the only online thing in the game you should be able to trade players, money, training points, heal kits, coins and those types of things still a great game thanks👍👍

All in all I enjoy playing this game, however I don’t understand how the ai choose to kick the ball into touch if it’s 80minutes gone even if they’re about to score, This is also true for when they are losing say within a few points, surely they should play on to try get a losing bonus point. Would be nice if they added Kick of mode, and for you to be able to play the different leagues: ( Super rugby, Pro 14, Gallagher Premiership etc, as well as more international competitions. It doesn’t seem like adding that is too hard.)

This is a great game witch I personally love. It is one of the very few rugby games out there. Apart from the occasional glitch that doesn’t occur that frequently and a LOT of ads, it’s a pretty clean game. The one thing I would improve about this game is you should have the option to buy players with the money you earn and not just opening packs to get them. Also there are a lot of in app purchases in this game.

For a free mobile game I think the app is very good. There’s a few minor glitches here and there that happen every so often but I’m not really complaining as they don’t happen very frequently. The only issues for me is....1) it takes FOREVER to advance through the leagues I’m on level 20 and still only in the premier division playing against low ranked teams. 2) the ratings are just broken. In the World Cup mode George Ford is around 73 rated and Owen Farrell is around 90!!! What’s that all about??? As well as this in the reward pack you tend to get a player from the country’s “B” team which is basically the under 20 team which is a little demoralising after expecting a good player from the country’s first team. I understand the game is fully licensed but I find it a little strange how the word cup game mode has all the names of real players but the normal club mode doesn’t (I may be mistaken) just seems a little odd, just go full on PES and change the names slightly so no license issues I reckon. All in all though I do think it’s a really good game and I would recommend it but could be that extra bit better with a few minor tweaks.

This is an amazing game although there are some problems. Here are some of them:

• When you win the World Cup, you keep getting the same people. I have only beat it 3 times as England and I have got George Ford twice.

• Ireland has the highest overall player ratings, although they don’t IRL.

• I am not an Ireland supporter, but it makes me quite irritated that Johnny Sexton is black. I’m not attempting to be racist, but imagine how annoying it is to have (if he is your favorite, definitely not mine) your favorite rugby player being the wrong skin color

•This annoys me the most, and it is that every time I go out of the app I have to start it again and it is especially annoying when I am in the middle of a match. It has brought this review down by two stars. A real shame.

I can’t wait for these to be fixed, as well as countless other bugs.

To end on a good note, this game is the best rugby game mobile and has several awesome features.

Overall the game has come along way since I played rn13. A few problems with this version though is that firstly the fact you can only play 3 short games otherwise you have to buy to play because u have allocated energy. Then the games should be longer and the computer should be better defensively so you can’t score easy tries by kicking and just running and scoring. The league system is good but you should have 3-5 skill based games so you get entered into the league you are levelled at and then get promoted or relegated from that league because at the moment I’m in the 6th league and I still win most games 40-0 or more. Another idea could be to add a cup so u do play higher division teams so it’s not always rlly repetitive. But overall a really well put together game

This game is really good and I hope to see loads more updates in the future with a where you get actually good players from the World Cup and also I’ve realised is that when sometimes you take a line out to quick the game freezes and you lose your energy but other than that amazing keep up the good work and make sure you get good players from the World Cup and I would like if there was a ref on the field plz don’t ignore this review and reply back as soon as possible thanks

Hi. I have been playing this game for a couple months, and I think it’s great. However, there are a few annoying things. I don’t like how you have energy, and the time goes way too fast. Also, whenever I play as Ireland in the World Cup, I always get bronze players when I win, and I have never gotten an actual player from them to improve my team. Also, when I kick the ball out at half time it says kicked out on FULL. And when I kick it out normally, it sometimes says kicked out at half-time. Also, I would like it if you tapped the line outs instead of swiped, because there can be a delay with the swipe causing a turnover. Also, the AI is unfair, because they never miss conversions. And also, when the opposing team is defending, when I go into rucks, lots of them are offside and tackle me, but it doesn’t say offside, it just carries on. I love this game, but you need to fix a lot of things.

Overall a very good game. I enjoy playing the matches and building the team however for me when ever I gain a pack from the matches I wait the 8 or so hours and then the pack doesn’t open. So it difficult to progress your team further. For your club at least for me I have no indication of the money, coins training or health so I don’t know what I need to can afford. Also the international players have odd ratings not what you would expect and line outs bug out and you can’t get the correct distance you wanted. However I do really enjoy this game it has good potential to become a very good rugby game.

Love the game but there’s some little things that need improvement. One think is there “never ending scrum” I’ve had this many times where the scrum travels from one end of the pitch to the other without the opportunity to pass the back out and I therefore have to quit the match. The other one, previously mentioned is the inability to run from behind your own try line without your player automatically grounding the ball. Also, the option to score a drop goal should be always available and not just a set play.

I like the game but there’s sooooo many glitches and inconsistencies. Glitches include: the hooker not throwing the ball in at the line out. The scrum half not being in position at the scrum so you push the opposition back and nothing happens. Not even a penalty as is usually the case. I managed to push the opposition past their own try line! In these cases your only option is to quit the app, losing you energy and making you wait for it to refill. Inconsistencies include the line out throw in on your own throw in. I’ve tried varying degrees of power and it always seems to do the opposite. If I go for a short line out it almost always goes full power even if I’ve done a short slow swipe on the screen. I find the same vice versa. Another frustrating thing is, I can be playing away against an opposition whose about the same rating as my team. In their own half I’ll turn the ball over after about 6/7 tackles. But you can guarantee if they are within 20-30m of my try line, I can put in tackle after tackle and no turnover even if I have 3-4 players in the breakdown to the oppositions one. It’s got potential to be a cracking game but definitely more ironing out of glitches and is needed.

This game is a good game but it lacks a lot that could be improved on.

1. Fouls. Occasionally you/the opposition will make a mistake but the game will just carry on which is just really annoying and unfair

2. Nations. First of all the nations Overall are terrible and really inaccurate. Somehow Ireland are the best rated team when they are an awful team. Somehow South Africa is 87 ovr and not like 95 considering they won the RWC 2019 and NZ and Australia are worse than Ireland in the game and Ireland have never won a RWC, please fix this or this series of games won’t get any better

3. Prices. The prices on this game are stupidly expensive. You have to pay £2.99 for 24 hours of energy when you barely get any in the first place. And the in app purchases like tokens, cash and training points are way too expensive and nobody would ever buy them

Please take this into consideration or your future games will really go downhill

To whom is reading this when I kick the ball along the floor I am the first one there most of the time but yet I still don’t pick up the ball, also when I am not there first I pick the ball up. Game time is soooo short and when ever the time goes out they always kick the ball out. I played a team that was 68 rated in the minor division and I was 58 rated I couldn’t get the ball and they just ran through me. Plz fix it. In the World Cup I am New Zealand and they played Ireland who are 1 rated above New Zealand and I beat them 27-0 HOW DOES THIS WORK. In the scrums i win every time because they ‘collapse the scrum’ but if I keep choosing scrum I can get from one end of the pitch to the other.

Edit: make teams fairer and also make it more realistic!!!

Have been playing this game for ages and despite a few issues it has been very good. Unfortunately it has now started to crash regularly so needs to be hot fixed.

Please can you also add an option to dive when you’re near the line as if you are out wide, the player will automatically turn and run towards the posts to score a try. Sometimes this results in you crossing the line but not scoring a try which is ridiculous.

My other criticism is the amount of turnover the opposition gets off you is laughable compared to the turnover you can win.

Such a good game love it ❤️❤️

But there’s something’s that I would like to change if you can

1) what happened to the bonus points in the World Cup it happens in the league games but when I play the World Cup there’s no bonus points

2) When I play the Game i have so much fun but once 3 of the things go I can’t play anymore and I don’t have any cash to spend and I don’t want to watch ads or pay for 24 hours limited can that go or put in unlimited energy forever for like £less than £10

Enjoy playing this game but some aspects are a tad unrealistic.. like when the game suddenly decides you aren’t going to win a match, not in a month of Sundays! Even against a team 10 or more points below yours, it becomes unplayable.

As much as I’m enjoying having Owen Farrell and Rieko Ioane playing for my team full of binmen, plumbers and site labourers, like I said it makes it a little unrealistic having The England captain running rings around Dean from the local chippy (you get these decent players for winning world cups)

All that aside I keep playing it and for the most part I’m well into it.

So for an app game, it's fun. Not amazing but it's solid to pass time on. However once you hit a point in the game you are forced to buy their packs and buy gold to get a team anywhere good enough to even have a chance of winning a game. Having to wait to play games is frustrating but not a deal breaker, however not being able to even compete during the games makes the game unplayable. I have no problem with the app selling packs, if people want to pay for a quick way to get a good team that's fine, however making it the only way to proceed makes the game unplayable and I will now be deleting the app. Shame - as I have had a lot of fun on this game, however it's hit a point where it is unplayable.

The defensive gameplay is completely absent from the game. No matter what you press, your players seem to automatically move and make their own tackles. The “dodge” function also seems to do nothing. The defensive gameplay needs to be reworked so that users can control their players and make tackles.

I like the way you can get player cards in packs and build a good team, however, you only have space for 3 post-game packs, each taking 3 hours to unlock. This means, since you get almost nothing in the way of match rewards, there’s no point playing more than once every 3 hours. This could be changed by allowing users to buy packs with the cash earned from playing matches.

The “add player to ruck” button is in the same place as the “kick” button, which means that when your player is being tackled, its easy to accidentally kick the ball if he shakes the tackle off. This happens fairly regularly and is really frustrating since a change in possession puts the game down to luck (since you have no control over defence).

Also, it could be useful to have a “controls” page in the settings.

Amazing game! Absolutely love it, I enjoy building my team and working through the ranks. However...I am getting extremely frustrated with the bugs in game...sometimes when in a line out or scrum the game freezes and there is nothing you can do except quit and start the match again but you then lose energy, it has literally just happened to me to twice against the same team! Please fix ASAP

The fact that there aren’t any other rugby games that are up to this standard just gets me addicted to this game. The only problem I have with the game is that some of your rating are bit off. I feel like you have overrated most players and underrated quite a few too. The speed and power on some players in the international teams is also off. Overall love the game, keep up the good work!

Edit: I have been playing with Fiji recently and I am very surprised that you haven’t made Semmi Radradra, and J.Tuisova highest grade players rather than gold players. You didn’t even add in the beast of a player L.Botia!! He played in the World Cup yet wasn’t included in your World Cup series. Also the gab between a team with a OVR of 83 is huge compared to a team of with a 95 rating, It’s impossible to win against them! Every time the ball goes lose my player is the first one there yet the opposition is likely picking up the ball before me??? My team are always the first people at the rock and yet the chance of me getting the ball is so slim that I might as well let the ai walk straight through my defence

Rugby nations 19 is a great rugby game and one of the few out there. I thought it had great potential except for a couple of things. Firstly, like many games, I understand there is a difficulty but sometimes when the game makes it impossible to win it isn’t fun and gets boring to play. I think the ratings the teams should make a difference but not too much just so you don’t get smashed if your team is 1 less rating than the AI. Another thing is that you can’t play for very long because of the energy and it would be better to purchase this game and get infinite energy so it is more enjoyable to play. An improvement could be to add an online part as well but keeping the normal things so you can play offline too. With these things in mind, and if they are added to this or another game, Rugby Nations 19 or 20 will be a great rugby game to play.

Hi there,I rate the game so much,but there’s one little problem that I hope could get fixed or a setting that could be added that is the time,I feel like the time goes too quick and there would be more opportunities for both teams and more better gameplay if it was longer,and another problem which could be added is instead of when the ball is in the try area instead of it being a scrum on 22 or back for a kick you should h ah e the option to carry on playing or touch down for kick etc,one more idea if when you go too score try you should be able to move any direction and not go straight line but party from small areas the game is a well done and I hope you carry on even adding more gameplay and fixes along the way🙌👍

Firstly, I would like to say this is an excellent game especially the idea of having to build your way up to make a good team and the gameplay is great. however, I think there could be some minor adjustments: the opposition isn’t hard at all so I think we should be able to change our difficulty level, the parent club achievement is actual very hard so the reward should be better and lastly I think we should be able to buy gold with the cash we have as we can do the opposite of this. Apart from that Rugby Nations 19 is an excellent game. Thanks!

When I first seen the trailer for this game I was so exited. To build a rugby team from winning packs like in fifa was a great idea and I was really looking forward to playing it. But there is so much that has been taken out of the game it’s just not fun to play anymore. The controls are good and the graphics I don’t have a problem with but you only get to play three very quick matches then have to wait an hour to play another one and no six nations or clubs anymore can’t even make your own player. Feels like the developers have gotten greedy and you can’t play the game without opening your wallet. Sorry but I’m going back to 18

The gameplay is a great improvement on other games due to the far smoother handling and far easier and more controlled running but the game itself is hugely let down by the lack of options and the fact that you cant change the difficulty from way too easy, this means you have no challenge and have no modes other than a world cup with a bunch of random teams and a low quality team builder. Overall i feel this game could be great with more gamemodes starting with quick match and an option to choose out of about 5 difficulties higher than the current one

As a HUGE fan of rugby games there are so few on the gaming market so its mega tough to really find any enjoyment of any, Rugby Nations a fantastic franchise of games and have always found fun playing hours on end, HOWEVER with this NEW instalment in this franchise I’m very let down. The gameplay itself is fantastic, a massive improvement to its previous titles, but this being said there’s no challenge at all when playing ANY opposition, I myself seem to win every game 20-40 points to NIL which is very frustrating, but i have found this in previous titles too. LASTLY, I feel very disappointed with the fact that you have to rely on “energy” to even play the game ? With no option to even purchase a full Game?! Extremely stupid to ask for real payment just so people can play for 24 hours. I’d rather pay a one off £5/£6 payment as I’m sure MANY others would. For me its 2 stars and thats being generous to the gameplay. I appreciate this is obviously a new game but the even change the layout of “Rugby Nations 18” is a huge back step.
