The app is so glitchy, the timer doesn’t really work, when I lock my phone the app closes. Doesn’t save progress, just feels really clunky.

This app has been the best subscription I’ve ever had. The exercises and meals are second to none. The challenges are amazing too! I can’t thank the Shreddy team enough.

Lots of Bugs etc

Version 4.3.4
I fully regret paying for the year subscription, unfortunately they do not return the money if the service does not correspond to the description.
I paid for the yearly one because there was on going a sale.
The say they offer a product but then the shipment you pay for the product wasn’t worth to order.
Then it was going on a challenge by the time I’ve subscribed and never found out who won, etc.
Another thing is you only have access to a very limit amount of workouts from past challenges or workouts, they launched a kickstart 30days workout with home version and gym version, I’ve chosen the gym version but there have been days that I have been travelling or not going to the gym and you can’t add or select from those workouts.
Another very annoying thing is the fact that they are experiencing a lots of bugs and they don’t really improve them. For example on this new workout keeps showing me the workouts I’ve done and that are signed as done on the app, they have supersets and trisets but then the rest time only works when you write down the weight and reps, so it does go straight or automatically to the other exercise, meaning if you are using that rest time you need to count yourself the rest and put at the end all the weights and reps you have done other wise you are wasting the rest time to put it in the app. Than theres exercises that aren’t to be used with weights and the app asks if you are sure you don’t want to put weight on, or for example when they only have 10seconds rest between sets but they say to use heavy weights (it’s not favourable for someone inexperiente that doesn’t know the principles causing injuries).
They have a very limited workouts, you can not substitute the exercises by using the same muscle selection (so if you don’t know what that exercise muscles groups are you will select out of different exercises for different purpose).
You cannot have more than one “guide” which is a program at the same time.
Programs are very repetitive and basically the same exercises.
The app doesn’t record your pb’s so after you Strat a new guide there’s not mention about past weights you have lifted, so you need to keep that record in a paper or on your notes.
I do not like either the fact that there’s a very limited meals examples and you can’t select by ingredients you have in your fridge, the filter is only if vegetarian pescatarian vegan and standard.

This app is plateau-ing

I’ve been with Shreddy ever since the app launched. I was one of its most enthusiastic users (I even kept recommending it to everyone who would listen).
It is ironic that their latest 30 day challenge is meant to combat the dreaded plateau because it feels like that’s exactly what this app suffers from.
I love that it has been trying to diversify the type of programmes/ workouts available, but perhaps they should add more than their 3 trainers for that to truly work. Having started in the gym with weightlifting years ago, I got into yoga when they added the Balance section with Phoebe. It was great for a beginner.
But over a year later (or more, I lost count when the Balance guide first came out), that’s still all they’re good for. While I have progressed, the yoga sessions have not. Possibly because they added the pilates/reformer aspect. Again, a fun new thing to try. Except if you have done one challenge with it or one programme, you’ve done them all.
My gripes with the balance part specifically, as that is the one I have been regularly using ever since the first balance guide:
1. There is no sense of progression. All the video workouts are always filmed at the same extremely slow pace, slow because every movement has to be explained in painful detail, even when it was already explained a minute ago for one side. It’s great for a beginner, but not so great when you have the same video replayed at different workout days throughout the calendar and you have not already memorised the movement sequence but even the same repetitive fumbles from the trainer. Having tried some yoga on youtube recently, the yoga on this app feels surface level.
2. A lack of quality control on the newer pilates videos. Because the videos get repeated, this is especially annoying. What do I mean? The trainer will lose track either of the count, or of the sequence for a combo movement for example, so that while you do the exercise a certain way and a certain number of reps for your left side, let’s say, they will not be repeated equally or the same for the right side. It is so annoying.
In the case of the pilates workouts, I would rather, if you cannot film each workout or vary the content for each week, then replace the video style workout with just the list of exercises and short explanatory videos. There is no need to use the same treatment for the pilates workouts as you do with yoga as there is no connecting flow between movements and the whole thing is less fluid.
I feel like overall the app is so focused on giving you all of the options, that none are particularly good. I don’t care for the extra features like the community tab, the recipes and other what nots. I want a good quality programme that does what it promises. Gives me a balanced approach to exercising without compromising on the quality. So please for the love of god bring in more trainers and QC what you put out.
P.S. don’t think I didn’t notice that the latest 30 day guide has the exact same videos from the last balance challenge. I have started to dread the pilates workouts cause I know I will just find them deeply frustrating and annoying.

bit of a joke asking for users to pay for workouts you can’t even access properly because half the time the app just doesn’t do what you’re asking of it. trying to customise your calendar has just stopped working since the last update.
with every update more and more things seem to break - really disappointing. if it were free to use the workouts in the app i’d overlook it, but obviously that is not the case.

Version 4.2.1
The app is easy to understand, but a downside is that the trainers aren’t following your workout; it’s just the same clip playing over again with no example of a moderate exercise if you struggle with knee, wrist pain etc.

Too many glitches - subscription should be free.

Version 4.2.7
The app is great for holding you accountable when you want to start working out consistently. However, there are way to many glitches/bugs to make this app useable or enjoyable. It messes up your progress, crashes, sometimes the sound doesn’t work and the colour combination is not great- sometimes I can’t see the timer for each exercise because of the blue and white combination. The amount of rest time for different exercises is also way off, I was once told to rest for 2 minutes between simple stretches?
Until this app fixes its multiple issues, subscription should be FREE! There is no justification in paying for an app that doesn’t work.
Slow down with creating new challenges every months and re-focus on the fundamentals… e.g an app that works properly!

Great workout guides. Super buggy app.

Version 4.3.3
I’ve been using shreddy for almost 2 years now and have loved the guides but over the past few weeks it’s never been buggier. During my workout today it’s crashed about 10 times, logging me out every time and restarting the workout. When I try changing exercise in the session the app just goes white so I have to close it completely and start again. It’s getting so frustrating - I don’t think I’ve used it without it crashing in a long time.

So many bugs!

Version 3.4.23
I’m a long-time Shreddy user/TALA lover so I was so excited for the new challenge. The problem is, there are so many bugs!! My app crashed at least 6 times during one workout and forced me to start again each time, the countdown noise kept coming on super loud for no reason and it wouldn’t let me swap any of my exercises. A 40 minute workout took well over an hour because of all the glitches.
I’ve never had this issue with Shreddy before and I’m so gutted.
This is a truly brilliant app and I really hope they fix the issues soon or I’ll have to cancel my subscription/move to something else💔

Love the program, hate the app

Version 4.0.13
I love Shreddy, the workouts, and the community. It is the first workout program that has ever got me to work out consistently, and there are lots of great things about it (e.g. the versatility of the programs, diversity of content, ability to track progress etc). HOWEVER - it is so so frustrating to use. I have just updated the app and there are so many bugs. The gym in my building has no wifi or reception, and the app just does not seem to work offline, despite having a workout download feature for this very purpose. I had to abandon trying to work out on my lunch break today because the app kept crashing. The timer always works for the first three exercises or so and then just stops working for some reason. Generally, since I started using Shreddy in the first lockdown there have been so many functionality issues with the app and whilst the user experience has somewhat improved, it is impossible to use this app reliably to work out. The meals could also definitely use some improvement

Love the content but app isn’t user friendly

Version 4.0.21
I love all the workouts! They’re easy to follow and I really enjoy getting involved with the challenges.
However, the app just isn’t user friendly. It will shut its self down at random points and I will lose my progress from that work out and have to input it all back in.
If you want to open a different app during the work out (e.g to answer a message or change song) the app will time out and loose progress again.
Some of the circuits aren’t easy on commercial gyms. For example any circuit for me that involves a rowing machine or any other machine tbh is not possible because the equipment is never guaranteed to be anywhere near eachother and it is unfair to reserve so much equipment just for me.
I also paid for a years subscription which was supposed to come with a Shreddy band. I never received a band??
But other than app experience I do really enjoy the work outs themselves, just get frustrated with the app.

Forgets progress of workouts

Version 4.0.3
My experience of this app is overall good, but it needs improvement because when it goes wrong it is extremely demotivating.
There have been a couple of instances where i have been following workouts and have briefly come off the app to change a song or read a message in a rest period and when i go back on the app it takes me back to the home screen, wiping all of my progress. It is then nearly impossible to skip back to where you were. Once you get there, your heart rate is lowered and you’ve lost motivation. I finished a 40 minute workout the other day, sweating and shaking, with only 10 mins on the stats to show for it. Despite completing the workout, i felt a rush of frustration rather than dopamine.
There is definitely value for money on this app and there is no question as to whether it works to get you into shape, but these bugs need fixing ASAP. I also think it needs simplifying, it often moves quite slowly, takes a while to load, likes to log you out if you go off the app for a split second and is information overload as soon as you log in.
This app is great when it works and when you put the work in too.

Glitchy!

Version 4.18
I have used shreddy for a number of years and have always loved it however recently it’s been getting glitchy and inconsistent.
I’ve been doing the strong girl summer challenge, the problems include:
- Not logging all weights from previous workouts/ these not appearing in history
- the timer for exercises sometimes being 60 seconds, sometimes 10 seconds (for weights??)
- inconsistent settings for leg exercises (sometimes number provided is for each leg, sometimes both legs, sometimes not stated!)
Also, when stretches are for two limbs can we please have two timers!
These may seem like small issues but have a big impact on my user experience

I am currently taking part in the shreddy 6 week challenge Balance Guide. This is by far the best workout app I have ever used. I have never stuck to something so consistently as I have with this workout plan. The flexibility between choosing your workouts and ideal workout length makes this ideal for fitting it within my daily schedule. The workouts are enjoyable and very effective! I have noticed such a difference in myself over the past 5 weeks and cannot wait to see where I am at in a few months. I first used this app back in 2019 and made huge progress in just a 3 month window. I highly recommend to everyone!

Version 4.2.7
The workouts are great, but the app is not. I’ve been influenced through Instagram and got the app (annual subscription) just before the summer challenge, but I wish I read the reviews first. The glitches/bugs mentioned in negative reviews are still there. Few issues to mention: - the beeping sound disappears mid workout so I have to look at my phone constantly to stay on track - at least 4 of my last workouts did not register all of the exercises and reps, so to finish a full workout feeling good to then get the results that you’ve done half of the exercises and 0 reps 🥴 - the main reason why I got the app was to track my progress, but with workouts not saving the accurate info the app is losing its purpose for me. I do love the the group chat/club feature, it’s nice and can provide some useful info/motivation, but there should be something similar to get in touch with customer support.

Version 4.3.4
I feel like its a good way of seeing new moves / how to do moves in the gym.
But in terms of structured workouts I don’t think it works. It has you jumping from one machine / move to another within a superset. This isn’t really possible in the gym because you’re taking up more space than you need. The workouts take way longer and than the app says as you’re having to move a lot.
Some of the moves are quite embarrassing as an adult person to do in the gym and I feel are solely to justify purchasing the bands.
App is a bit glitchy. I mostly rearrange the workouts to what works for me and use the app as a glorified notes tracker.

This app is almost perfect! I love that each exercise has a short video example and a short synopsis on form to read. It tracks your sets for you.
The only request is perhaps on a future update we could have a place underneath where you log the weight you used to add notes? Sometimes I’ve had to swop an exercise out for convenience and I’d like to be able to see what the weight I’ve logged relates to.
But thank you for such a well thought out app. I’ve tried so many and this one is the best by a long stretch.

I really enjoy shreddy, not just the workouts but the community around it. I’ve done a couple of challenges and currently on the first week of the summer challenge. A couple of pointers: the app can feel clunky at times but that could be due to the sheer volume of people using it! It would also be great if more recipes were added more regularly.
It’s a brilliant app surrounded by lots of experts so if you’ve never exercised in this way or have done for years - you’ll feel supported and it’ll shake up your routine!

There’s a lot of things I like about this app e.g. certain plans but once you leave a plan the workouts are quite a mess. No way to search by duration, browsing workouts is split in strange ways, some workouts have warm ups and cool downs but half don’t. It has a lot of potential but they need to invest in a better product manager and do less really really well rather than doing everything and it not working out.

Really like this app so far (6 weeks in and only using for workouts, not meals) and it takes the planning out for my workouts which is great and the workouts are challenging. I also like that the workouts are varied and not just the same block of 4 sessions
The downside is that I download my workouts as the connection in my gym is hit or Miss, but if I don’t go in with the app open and already being in the workout, I can access the workout offline. I just get the log in page. Super frustrating.
Also, it’s really annoying that the countdown timer will sometimes cut my music off. I’m forever having to press play again. That’s sooooo annoying when you’re in the zone

Came back after initially deleting the app after a few months in 2020 due to annoying bugs and repetitive exercises- thought Id try again to see if they had improved anything, and Im disappointed! I absolutely love the concept behind shreddy and really enjoy all of the workouts. I first downloaded it at the beginning of lockdown and it’s a big factor in how consitent I was. I do remember it being quite glitchy with workouts randomly ending and having to restart the app all over again, music apps not working very well with it and just general having issues with the screen freezing.
I have re-downloaded the app for use in my gym which unfortunately has no phone cover or WiFi connection. With another app I used, the offline functionality was great but I’m disappointed to say that several times in my workout, I had to go outside because the Shreddy app crashed and my downloaded workout just wasn’t working/showing for me. This would especially happen if my phone screen locked.
The screen interactions seemed muddled and sometimes nothing happened no matter how much I tapped or swiped. It’s also still hard to use my music apps at the same time.
In short, I’m disappointed so many of the issues I had two years ago are still occurring.
That said, nonetheless, my experience leans more towards the positive because of the quality of content, how easy the workout plans are to follow and that I can do most of them with simple equipment at home or in the gym without worrying about peak times and unavailable equipment.
Please please sort out the offline functionality and integrations with the likes of Spotify 🙏🏻

Version 4.1.1
So after reading other reviews, it seems like a lot of people feel the same way. I love Grace and was really expecting more from this app but it’s absolutely terrible.
- GLITCHY: So many glitches throughout the app. I’ve reported some but it still happens. Things like the countdown beeps sometimes don’t work so have to keep checking my phone to see when the next exercise is up. Warm ups and cool downs missing from sessions. Exercises skipping so missing moves.
- Not for beginners: I’m fairly new to working out but have dabbled before so kind of know how to modify moves. But for those who don't, there are no modifications. Just straight into harder moves which can be dangerous if you haven’t done before.
- NOT user friendly: The app is awful. So slow. Glitchy. Clunky. Takes forever to add a new workout to your calendar. When you click back, it takes you back to the home page rather than just back a page. Very frustrating. The meal planning is even worse, see next point.
- Meal planning: Probably the worst feature, I’ve never used. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I have ever or will want to ever have different things for every breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks each day of the week. When your meal plan comes in, that’s what you get. But then to change it, SO CLUNKY, you have to add each dish individually, search through lists to find something you want, no option to repeat from a previous meal or favourite, then again, when you go back or change one, it takes you ALL the way back and you have to go through it all again. So frustrating that I don’t even bother using it.
I really hope they read all the reviews and take these things on board as the app could be really great but it’s such a basic app at the moment, not user friendly, so many problems and glitches and I shall definitely not be renewing my subscription.

Downloaded and subscribed on the most recent new years sale so glad I got it at a discount and not full price because the app can be slow and glitchy!! Some examples I’ve experienced is I completed a week of workouts and into my next week it’s completely gone back to my first week thinking I’ve not done the workouts so I have to click through the workout without counting my workout in real time and weight. I hope they fix it soon as that was only me on week 2 I’d hate to be 6 weeks in and go though all the workout just so I can get to the one I need to do for that day!!
This other annoying thing is the real time workout I am doing the balance Guide and I find it really annoying you can’t go backwards on the video so you can recap if you need to make sure you heard/doing the movement correctly!
Overall the app kinda preforms quite slow or like it’s thinking about what you asking it today before it does anything! Just disappointed really.
I would recommend to people as the various guides and workouts are great. Just few things that could make the current user experience great. As at the moment I’m happy I didn’t pay for £75 year subscription and got it on the sale time.

I used this app for a few months and though I had unsubscribed however this was not the case and turns out I paid 9.99 a month for almost a year.
I think there should be an easier way to unsubscribe, stop payments and freeze/hold your account from the app
There are no form of refunds for the app even if you haven’t used it/been active
The app itself freezes a lot and has to be restarted

Love the workouts but very disappointing UX

Version 4.2.6
I am an OG supporter of all things TALA and Shreddy and have purchased many products from both business. The workouts on shreddy overall have been great for me, it’s got me back into a workout schedule that works for me and that I thoroughly enjoy! But unfortunately after nearly 5 months use of this app, I have to admit the user experience of this app is not good. Key things to call out:
1) Technical glitches like the discrepancy between calories burned and heart rate tracked on my Apple Watch and what is tracked in the app. Very delayed loading of your workouts. Accidentally clicking out of the app and it completely taking you out of your workout and restarting the timer. And other things that I can’t think of right now.
2) Sometimes circuits or sets are made up of a very inconvenient mix of exercises that require you to be in multiple areas of the gym. I know this isn’t typically a huge issue but I just got the impressions that workouts were carefully selected and this gives me the impression they are not.
3) Other frustrating things like my music sometimes pausing when rest timers go off (but not all the time which is also annoying because I can’t figure out how to get it not to do so all the time). Exercises being longer than they detail to be, sometimes 15 extra minutes - even when I feel to be going at pace. But this might just be me being slow!
Oh and this was something I didn’t think of but my boyfriend flagged is possible on his fitness app, being able to track your workout through your Apple Watch. This would improve the UX for gym workouts sooooooo much better because I’m currently having to track my reps and sets far too often on my phone. This constant pausing and picking up your phone seems to be encouraged because there is a rest timer after logging each set of reps? I get it for flexibility but it just feels like a lot.
I have an annual membership so I will continue to use the app but I would LOVE to see some of these issues be worked on this year because I really do enjoy the workouts but given the vast number of fitness apps on the market right now I would expect a certain level of UX that I’m currently not getting.

Not only does this app not have any kind of accessibility feature to turn on voice over / description of the exercise for people who may not be able to see the videos but there is also no option to turn on features for low impact for those with injuries or conditions.
The text ratio and colours make much of the text unreadable.
The whole thing is exclusionary and I’m going to get a refund.

They should absolutely advertise that this app is not for beginners!
You put that you are new to fitness but then get a 60 minute long workout as your first one - just ridiculous and really not helpful for someone wanting to start out in fitness. Quite degrading actually.
App seems very slow and glitchy and there are some Instagram accounts that produce better food content for free than the meals on this app. Very bland and boring or require a lot work
Wouldn’t recommend at all for beginners, sorry!

Grace was the reason I started going to the gym consistently back in 2016. I followed her all these years and I still think she’s done some incredible things, but nowadays it seems it’s just for her benefit and not her fans. The app was virtually impossible to use because of glitches, the app seems outdated compared to other apps out there and some of the workouts are ridiculously short or boring, with the same repeating exercises for each workout day. Even the menu items are boring and not tailored to specific dietary needs.
I love her and wanted to be impressed, but I’m really not and it’s let me down.

I’m not new to fitness or fitness apps, but I honestly wish I hadn’t paid for this one. The app is practically unusable. Firstly, it seemed to want me to choose a programme right away, and I chose the “Home” option. Sadly, this option is not only really limited in content, but the actual workouts don’t even play! They get stuck in each exercise, and it seems you have to stop after each set, go to the app and input your reps and weight, then it doesn’t flow or take you to the next exercise. It’s honestly awful.
I’m currently studying to be a level 3 PT too, and after all the glowing reviews I was fully expecting inspiration as the app itself is aesthetically pleasing. Sadly, the content just isn’t. There’s also no option to input your current fitness level (well on the home tab anyway), so you’ve no idea if you’re embarking on a beginner/intermediate/advanced workout. Im actually really surprised at how poor this app is in comparison to its competition.
I’ve made sure my subscription doesn’t renew after the quarter, but grateful that I didn’t pay for the whole year.

After hearing so many good things about the shreddy app I thought I would give it a go and with a great discount at the time I brought the year subscription. Since buying this app I have run into nothing but technical issues. Firstly I have never been able to log my meals due to glitches within the app. After realising that it wasn’t user error I reported the issue and over 9 months later the issue is still not fixed. I have heard from other users of the app that this has been an ongoing issue which has never been looked at. Secondly for over the last week the app has been virtually unusable. Every time I have tried to load a workout a blank screen appears and no workout loads. I am completely disappointed and frustrated with the design of this app. This app is a nightmare and although I have enjoyed the workouts so far I cannot seriously think about renewing my subscription when the app is unusable and has showed no signs of improvement. And to top it off the customer service is a joke, they have fobbed me off every time I have got in touch to report the issues. They will say it will be looked into however I very much doubt it ever does. I’m glad this app seems to work for some however, I will not be putting any more money into the pocket of an influencer that will not bother investing in resolving the issues within the app that many users face.

I decided to subscribe to this app because I was looking for something that could help to build a gym routine when im not attending to gym classes. The app in terms of variety is good you have lots of exercises to choose from but happens to me very often that the app stay frozen or also when doing the routine the phone goes to “sleep mode” but the app is open and I need to constantly touch the screen so i can make sure I follow the timer otherwise doesn't go off the alarm/timer (not sure actually if this last problem is my phone or is with the app related ) .
Also I would really like you could build up your own routine through the app.
Meals are ok, haven't really try one yet. Would be nice to get all the recipes in grams instead of cups as I noticed some are like that and I don't think are quite Accurate in terms of cal and macros. Overall I recommend the app!

The app has loads of stuff on it which is great but you have to multiple click to get the app to perform the desired action. You also have to push back to main profile for actions to take effect and then re-go through the process again (including loading times). Seems like the architecture needs a once over as it’s really slow- particularly if the challenges are coming up, might slow the app down even further given the build up of tech debt/architecture issues.
The instant play of the videos when moving through the new 3 guides is really frustrating and loud.
Also the recipes don’t make sense, someone needs to sense check them as it never mentions you need certain ingredients until you’re in the method and it randomly mentions them and the weight measurements for things are really strange. The formatting of the recipes could also do with a UI touch up as they could look super beautiful (think Gousto-type style)

I want to love the app. It looks great and has great programmes. But it’s still so glitchy it’s quite annoying to use. For example - having to log your sets twice because it’s not registering. Some things are very slow. Sometimes I have to click on something repeatedly for it to register. Sometimes the app forgets I’m doing a workout and leaves the session which is SO annoying. It would be great to have more instruction eg 20 reps per leg or in total? Why do the recommended reps go up and down for each set? Some explanation would be great! And a better function to drag and drop workouts to different days of the week (like Tone & Sculpt! - it’s quite clunky as it is. The workouts are also very long - it would be good to be able to choose different workout lengths. Most people can’t fit in workouts that long if they’re in a full time job! I’ll stick with it for the time being but I hope by the end of the year it’ll be a 5 star app!

I’ve loved using the Shreddy app for home workouts as I have always struggled planning workouts and what exercises to do. I have found the app so useful for that and I love that you can choose a plan and see what each workout involves before I do it. The only problem I’ve had with the app is freezing and the timer sound not working halfway through a workout. I thought initially that it could’ve been an issue with my phone because it was old but I’ve recently got a new phone and I’m still having the same issue. The timer sound not working is particularly annoying because I’ll end up missing the next exercise because I was waiting for the timer to countdown the previous exercise. I’m not sure if this is a problem other people have had but other than that I really love this app and I’m hoping it will help me to stay consistent.

I was attracted to this app as it’s marketed as an introduction to nervous gymgoers. Practically, the app opens and closes itself before I’ve even managed to do anything with it I’d say about 50% of the time. (I keep it up to date and plenty of storage on my phone etc). Then when actually doing a workout the app seems sometimes move onto the next exercise and sometimes not, even when I download at home to avoid having to use my data/the gym’s dodgy WiFi. It seems to react slowly to everything, logging reps, showing the videos of how to do the exercise, starting the timer and pausing etc. I find I’ve tapped a button and suddenly the workout’s complete?! I’ve used this app over 10 times and have seen no improvement.
Furthermore with the actual content, I consider myself somewhat confident in the gym and fairly fit, being able to run 5k in 30 mins and attending HIIT classes etc, but some of the asks of this app just seem too difficult for a beginner! Admittedly the way you can swap out exercises is a big draw, when the feature works. Also the videos and descriptions of how to use the equipment aren’t detailed enough, and in each workout I’d have to find myself in about 4 areas of the gym, that’s assuming the equipment’s free?! Really disappointed with this app, if you’re looking for guided programmes try the Nike training app, way more slick, accessible and FREE!

Sigh. I don’t want to rain on Grace and her team with negativity but there are a few lessons that just aren’t being learnt with Shreddy. Time and time again you can see how customers and supporters have tried to give feedback on the terrible, terrible user interface and reliability of the app, and yet nothing changes. Every review earns a ‘thanks for your feedback, we’ve got a team working on it’ but months down the line and things are still the same in terms of the overall experience. I don’t know what issues are happening in the background, I’m sure there are reasons for it but as the app currently stands, two years after release, it’s nowhere near the point it should be. This is what I’d expect from a Beta release, not something that’s actually shipped to the App Store. It means that all the hard work from a workout and meal plan perspective is completely undermined by the app, which is such a shame. I’ve tried many workout programs and apps in the past and this is the best workout guide with the worst user interface. Please invest in a UX Designer, Shreddy!

I got Shreddy a couple of weeks ago to start the current challenge and I can’t recommend the workouts and content highly enough. The programmes are difficult but still enjoyable and it’s been the exact accountability I needed to get back into the gym.
However, I have found the app itself to be quite buggy. I have had to delete and redownload quite a few times just to get it working and it’s frustrating to be in the middle of a workout and suddenly experience issues like buttons being unresponsive. On top of this, there’s quite a few improvements that still need to be made to improve user experience as parts of it feel clunky. One example is the scroll that is used for inputting the weight of an exercise - this should have the option of typing in the number or at least remember the last weight you were on for each exercise so you don’t have to repeatedly scroll all the way up each time.
Overall, I would say the benefits outweigh issues so I will be persevering with this challenge and am hopeful that the team will fix the issues soon.

I’ve been a big fan of Grace’s for years but have never paid too much attention to Shreddy. However, I was excited at the prospect of their new 8 week challenge and decided to download the app and subscribe. My first impressions were that the app is not user-friendly in the slightest, it’s very clunky and I couldn’t work out how to get the new challenge loaded as my main plan because the app wouldn’t update for me. Once I’d finally managed to get hold of the plan a day later I tried the first work out. There is very little information detailing what equipment is needed prior to the start workout so I kept having to pause and run around the house to find things I could use as weights and fashion together a long resistance band. The workout was SO HARD (and this is day 1 of an 8 week program), it’s definitely aimed at people who already workout and have a high level of fitness prior to the challenge which wasn’t clear at all. The app also advertises the Shreddy products everywhere you turn, which I understand, but also a lot of the workouts require these products or at least versions of them which renders the programme fairly inaccessible and overall it lacks inclusivity for varying fitness levels. Very unimpressed and cancelled my subscription immediately!

At first it wasn’t bad, I’m on week three of the home tone up and it is so repetitive. It seems the only exercises they know are incline push-ups, tricep dips against a chair and plank shoulder taps, you will be doing them in almost every set in every work out. Additionally there’s no option to switch most of the workouts so it doesn’t account for any injuries or lack of equipment you may be dealing with. (Having said that sometimes you can switch an exercise for an incline push-up again, no variety)
Also there is no information about the exercises to help with form so if you’re new to them you could be doing them entirely wrong. The switch between exercises is way too quick, you have 5 seconds to switch from a standing weighted exercise to a lying banded one it’s just unrealistic, I’m having to pause it way to frequently, also such a minor thing but the pause button is way to small and sometimes leads to me exiting the workout but that may just be me.
In terms of the meals I think it’s a bit fiddly and could be better. Not a lot of flexibility in terms of calories and/or distribution of calories e.g. I prefer larger meals and not a large number of actually quite high calorie snacks they’re suggesting but again that is personal preference.
Overall I think there’s way better on the market and it’s not worth wasting your money.

I had high expectations for this app and unfortunately I was not impressed. There is a large variety of work ours provided, great meal ideas and a good community. However, there is no sound with the workouts. Considering this is an app that most people use on their phones I find this very surprising. It’s very difficult to look at the small screen to work out what you are supposed to be doing. There is no motivation during the workout, no signal to tell you when the next move is starting and no voice over which tells you what the next move is. The next move just starts and if you aren’t looking at the small phone screen you’ll miss it. Furthermore as there is no voiceover to tell you what the next activity is you spend the first 5 seconds trying to work out what you are doing. This app offers gym workouts but the only way you would be able to use this app in the gym is if you had your phone in your hand the whole time. Headphones would be of no benefit.

I have followed grace on insta for a couple of years and with the second lockdown I thought why not get the app it’s on offer, might as well. Well save your money it’s a waste in my opinion. Firstly, I said I could do more than 20 mins a day as I usually do 45mins or more at the gym however, the workouts are incredibly variable in time some of them are only 8 minutes! How can you possibly have worked out in that time? Secondly, the workouts are very repetitive, please please use something other than tricep dips and push ups it’s getting boring. Finally, the app has no help for any of the movements. Doing an exercise for the first time? Well you’ll get absolutely no guidance on how to do it so just copy and hope for the best - hope you don’t injure yourself!
So now we’re out of lockdown I thought ok let’s give the gym workouts a look and lo and behold they are also disappointing. The majority of the exercises were dumb bell based so idk why we couldn’t have done those in the home workout guide (if you’re going to include dumb bells in the home workout guide then surely you can have a wider variety of exercises?). The camera angle is also terrible, if you want to give a side on view you have to give some guidance on the movement or the exercise is just a stab in the dark.
All in all I really wouldn’t bother there’s plenty of alternatives on the market that do the same thing but better. I really thought this would be better as I’ve heard such good things :(.

To be real with you, I got Shreddy because I saw grace sharing a discounted annual rate and grace = god so I had to. After using it for about a month a can assure you it is SO worth it and is definitely worth MORE than the full priced subscription. The best part of the app is that the work outs are real time and you don’t have to swipe through a PDF (so annoying when ur screen turns off mid set and you have to waste time getting it back on - an absolute no no). The Instagram and App community is super good for accountability and also for motivation. The only improvements for the app that I would recommend is if they had an “exercise library” or similar that breaks down the exercises, highlighting the do’s and don’ts to help prevent injury. My app can also be a little buggy at times and likes to just randomly delete my completed workouts but it just means I have to do them again loool. Anyway 10/10, 5*s, you get me. Excited to see how this app develops over the future!

The Shreddy app has definitely changed my life. Not only have I reached my fitness goals but it’s also taught me lifestyle changes rather then a quick fix so the results actually last!
There’s loads of different plans and meals which makes it really flexible to suit everyone. I had a couple of days off whilst travelling but it’s so easy to get back on track by changing the dates of the workouts to match up with your calendar. There’s also a library full of workouts so if you don’t feel like doing what’s on the plan just find one that suits your mood!
Plus it’s such a friendly and uplifting community, I love seeing everyone journeys and tips in the community section on the app.
Definitely would recommend this app to anyone - beginner or advanced it’s got you covered 👌🏼

I started properly following Shreddy back in March when lockdown started. I was lacking motivation and just wanted to follow a plan and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made! The workouts are so easy to follow, most can be done with or without equipment and some exercises have alternatives you can do if you don’t quite have the right stuff and the workouts are actually quite tough 🥵.
I love how short the workouts are. Each one is less than 30 minutes so it’s easy to fit in around a busy schedule. The exercise library is easy to navigate. It has lots of extra workouts to choose from and even some real time workouts to follow. Overall it’s a really easy app to use.
The few meal recipes I’ve tried have been delicious! Recently they updated the recipe bank to include non vegan recipes which has been great for me. The meals are really simple and contain mostly cheap ingredients- some do contain more expensive items such as salmon but the majority are cheaper.
Lastly, the community is great! The girls who do shreddy all support eachother either via the chatrooms/DMs on the app or via the Instagram accounts they’ve created to track their shreddy progress and it’s just such a lovely group to be a part of.
Overall, a great fitness app. I’d 100% recommend to anyone who is starting their fitness journey/ those that just want a workout plan to follow.

I really wanted to love this app but felt disappointed and after 3 months have stopped my subscription.
Positives are: exercises are good, definitely can feel improvement and they’re not the same all the time so not boring! Also gives you the option to swap exercises if you’re not a fan/don’t have equipment. You also get to see a video of someone doing the exercise at the same time which is reassuring.
Negative: Feel that it’s better suited to more experienced users who know the exercises. As a beginner I chose the app because I feel conscious in the gym and like to learn on my own terms. Once you start the workout there’s no way to pause and rewatch demos so once the next 30 seconds/1 minute start for each exercise that’s it. I often waste the first 15 seconds trying to know what to do which means I work less and don’t feel I’ve done it properly by the end? If there was a way to quickly add a demo option for those who want it that would be great. The app also feels a little clunky so would be nice to be modernised to be bit slicker.

This was the first fitness/workout subscription I’ve paid for as I couldn’t justify the cost before and having read great reviews here it sounded like it was exactly what I needed. The main issue I have with fitness is the food element, having seen that through the app you can choose your meals and it’ll give you a shopping list I figured it would be perfect. Wrong. There are so many bugs with this element of the app it’s no longer worth the subscription. £20 down the drain effectively.
I constantly see that there are things being added and new challenges yet there is not improvement being made on the diet side.
There are times where slots for meals go missing and with a lot of the recipes the app crashes when I try to view them. The same has now started happening when trying to view my shopping list.
I’ve reported this issue and been told they’re “working on it” it’s been over a week and new recipes have been added but these bugs have still not been fixed. I’ve paid £20 to only be able to use half of the app. And of course, no refunds! Absolute joke.

Meh, ok but has its problems

There is a hell of a lot wrong with this app, firstly the home workouts require equipment which Is fair but there should be an option for no equipment. The gym workouts require you to take equipment to the gym potentially which you don’t have and the gym may not provide and I don’t want to spend 10 minutes swapping out exercises because the app is so glitchy.
Also the new recipe ideas look good but again the app is so glitchy you can’t actually view the ingredients you need and the instructions of how to make. Please invest some money into the app it’s self and sort out the glitches because it’s just frustrating. The app tells you to meal prep and go get all your meals planned out but you can’t do that if you can’t view the recipes. For £80 a year, it’s kind of disappointing and I will probably move to a different app when this subscription runs out if it doesn’t improve. I feel like all that it has going for it, is nice summery colours and an Instagram presence.

Has it’s pros and cons...

So I was late to the party with this. I wasn’t sure about paying money for online content that was freely available elsewhere on the internet. But, after deciding it made life a whole lot easier by combining everything together, I went for it. The workouts are great! More for beginners and intermediate level exercise-ers, maybe not advanced. Big range of workouts. The way the workouts are shown within each guide is easy to follow, the content library not so much... instead of watching a video it should be set out more like the workouts in the guides. The meal section is really bad, and not easy to use which is a shame. Also the recipes aren’t that great. I don’t like the rigidness of the guides as well, would be good if you could change say arm and abs to another leg day or maybe have an option for 2 workouts a week for people who are more busy, or choose to do cardio on other days. I would definitely say get the one month before you subscribe for longer, as I really regret getting the 3 month subscription! But over all could definitely be better with a bit of improvement from grace and team.

Too glitchy.

Okay so my previous rating was 5* however I’m changing it to 2 because I’m getting so annoyed with this app!
It’s crashed countless times, I’ve emailed the support team for the issue to be quickly resolved but then it crashes again?
Yes there have been so many improvements to this app however it is just too glitchy to make excuses for anymore.
I’ve just started a new guide and today for some reason I had to answer some questions on the app and it changed my guide automatically (losing my progress yet again).
Super frustrated with how glitchy this app is all the time.
There are also little things that bug me such as a couple of meals of the day missing here and there (for example Wednesday this week doesn’t have a breakfast??), and the exercises being put with the wrong video occasionally. All these things I would not expect for paying £10 a month.
To add to this, I don’t like how in the new shreddy20 guide when you preview exercises they don’t appear in order when you do the workout. Also, loads of the ‘arms and abs’ workouts actually only have leg exercises?? So confused.
This app improved once, absolutely loved it so it’s so annoying that its just going down hill again. Shreddy for me has always been about making my workouts simple and stress free but it’s doing the opposite at the
moment.
I hope I’ll be able to re edit this review soon but for now it’s staying at 2*.
(FYI I have a fully updated iPhone 7).

Shreddy has been life changing for me in so many ways. I’ve always been active in the gym, but felt quite lost with what exercises to do etc. Shreddy helped change that with the easy to follow workout guides and real time workouts as well. But just as I thought shreddy couldn’t top this, they then came out with their home workout guides and WOW. GAME. CHANGER. The home workouts were so good! Easy to use with simple but effective workouts. Not to mention that equipment was not needed but more of a bonus if you did have some!
Another good thing about shreddy is that it comes with great meal prep ideas! They are so simple, easy to make and helps make long last results! I mean what more could you ask for?
Shreddy has really changed my life. It’s helped me through one of the most challenging periods of my life and so for me, it’s not just an app. It’s so much more than that. It’s a community that really wants you to go beyond your limits when it comes to a healthy lifestyle. I seriously recommend!

I first got this app at the start of lockdown and really loved the fitness programme. I was a bit disappointed by the food options, as someone who eats meat and has a gluten and lactose intolerance there were no options for me that I could eat so this section was useless to me, however I understand that this is difficult, there could be some tailoring considering the price! I got a little bored of the workouts, but i think this is mainly due to the fact that I wanted more of a challenge as I have quite a lot of time at the moment, but i think this would be a really good thing if you were in university or a busy job where you could only make time for a 10-30 minute workout! I think that maybe there should be an option of how long you want to workout for (rather than just the 3 or 5 day plan) as I like to workout for about an hour 6 days a week! Would also solve to see a way of permanently selecting the alternative exercises if you don’t have the equipment so it doesn’t constantly keep telling you to do exercises that you don’t have equipment for!

A colossal waste of money.

Signed up to shreddy during lockdown as I really need to take control of my fitness and I’d read and seen nothing but fantastic reviews! I was so optimistic and excited to join the shreddy community.... what a joke. When I joined the app didn’t work and constantly froze, it had no timings so you had to constantly look at your phone to see if your exercise was over/rest had finished, and you couldn’t preview any workouts. To be fair to shreddy all of the above have now been addressed but that doesn’t mean everything’s dandy. They stick to the same exercises over and over again, it’s nothing but repetition of boring exercises. The instructor in the workouts (not the lives) couldn’t look less engaged, some times the videos still freeze and the videos are not always the right exercise either, and the food options are great but don’t exactly require the cheapest/easiest ingredients. Over all I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, I’m willing my THREE MONTH subscription to be over and I honestly am completely baffled as to what everyone who “loves it” is going on about :/ good luck with the future of Shreddy but it’s a no from me (I’ve also caught up
With a few friends who are in exactly the same position, willing it to end so they can move on to something else so it’s not just me who feels like this!)

I am a big fan of Grace’s previous guides before the re-brand and was excited about trying this during lockdown. I just didn’t get on well with the app and felt like it still needs big development. One part that I felt disappointed by was the guide I chose said I didn’t need additional equipment, just myself. This wasn’t the case, in every workout you would always need an accessory such as a dumbbell, band, slider etc which I didn’t have meaning I felt I didn’t get as much out of the workout in comparison to someone who did. Also a lot of glitching through the use of two months on most workouts. Some workouts hadn’t been constructed well either with a lot of repetition of exercises such as tricep dips. Maybe in the future this would be great in the gym but this just didn’t work well and had very ‘stop start’ workouts. Will ‘beeps’ did happen close to end of a set, a countdown before starting the next set would be helpful as well. The app is still rather new so understand there are some teething problems but I have cancelled my membership as i just cannot justify the price for what I received.

This app has saved me during lockdown. When the gyms shut I was worried about how to workout at home. Shreddy gives you guided exercises so you just follow what the girl is doing and its so easy to follow! All you have to do is open the app and the rest is done for you! I often struggle to think of non-gym exercises so I love how you just pick a guide and it sets all of the exercises for you. I love that 3 days are about 25 min and 2 days are just around 10 min! This makes it really easy to complete as its just a short period of time and would work into a busy life schedule. Apart from the workouts themselves being really good the community section allows you to meet so many kind and supportive people, and there is a great shreddy community on Instagram as well full of love and positivity. I have had a very positive experience with this app and I highly recommend it!

I’ve used a lot of fitness apps over the years but without a doubt Shreddy is the best I’ve ever come across. It’s run by a team that really care about you and put their all into giving you best possible experience. The app is easy to use and the workouts are so clear, with video examples available to help with movements/form etc. The fact you get a choice of 5 different guides within one offers great value for money and great variety. The app is extremely flexible, meaning you can swap, add and remove certain exercises to suit your needs, as well as swapping entire workouts for something better suited or just to another day! I can honestly say Shreddy has changed my life for the better, I’m so much healthier both physically and mentally. Plus, the Shreddy community is like no other! I’ve made so many friends and been able to share my journey with strong, like-minded women. If you’re considering getting this app, this is me telling you to!! Thank you Grace & team Shreddy x

I have absolutely loved the shreddy app, it is an amazing app and community! The workouts range from roughly 11 mins to 25 mins and are perfect for home workouts, whether you are completely new to it like me or are used to exercising! This app has kept me sane throughout lockdown and has given my my motivation and confidence back! I’ve managed to see amazing progress using 1.5kg weights whilst being unable to do certain exercises due to having a metal elbow! The shreddy app is perfect even if you have any issues with joints or a previous injury, as you can view all the exercises in the workout library and can also preview each workout! The different chats available on the app are fantastic to meet other people using shreddy! Thank you to Grace and the shreddy creators for creating this wonderful app and community!🥰💕

Love the app! I love Grace as a person aswell, I really look up to her and would die for her figure! The app is mostly based around muscle groups, you choose what you want to focus on e.g fat loss or toning up. I’m pretty sure there’s like 4 choices and you can switch when you feel you have lost fat and want to start toning etc.
The only things they need to improve is; the resting time, as I only have 5 seconds to put a resistance band on which is a bit hectic, adding alternatives to the meal plan just as some of us aren’t vegan and when I do a extra workout I would love it to come up on my weekly checklist as I’d feel more achieved.
I’m worried she’s going to read this and hate me but I really do love the app, it means I don’t have to think about what workouts I have to do and it’s all there day by day getting ticked off.

The workouts on Shreddy are great but I am really struggling to completely enjoy the app! I loved the gym version of the app but since the lockdown I have been using the at home version and just don’t like it as much! I don’t like that I can’t see the entire workout before actually doing it like I could with the gym version! I’d love to be able to look at the overall circuits and watch the videos so I could swap out any exercises I don’t have the equipment for and watch the videos to know what I’m meant to be doing etc! I also find it hard to keep up with the changing of equipment/positions between exercises. The app will give you a 5 second rest before going into the next exercise but as I don’t know what this is, I struggle to move from doing banded hip thrusts to then go into weighted squats (for example) in that time! Although, I think being able to see the workout/ videos before hand would really help with this! Seeing as I use my phone for the workouts, I’d really love the option to have a noise to signify the end of an exercises and the start of a new one as I can’t look at my phone while doing some of the exercises and have found myself carrying one exercise into the time of another as I haven’t realised the time is up! 😅 overall, the workouts and features are really well thought out but these are just a few things that I would love to be improved!

Completely changed the way I see exercise!

I am an individual who has wanted to make changes to my lifestyle for a long time and have tried to follow so many different plans and haven’t been able to find the motivation to stick to them - but honestly I can’t recommend this app enough! It has completely changed the way I see exercise! The home workouts are no longer than 40 minutes so you can fit them very easily into a busy lifestyle, they have videos showing you how to do each exercise properly, and timers for each exercise & you can listen to your own playlist whilst working through the plan. The community is unreal, there are chats surrounding all different key subjects like recipes, a chat for each guide that Grace has put on the app, and a brilliant community alongside all of this on Instagram! If you can’t be bothered you can go on the chat and get motivation from others doing exactly the same as you - and it is great for all levels of fitness. For £10 a month it’s an absolute steal and I’ve gone from dreading the gym after work to actively looking forward to doing my workouts and seeing my progress through the guide! Life changing for people who aren’t into fitness but want to be!

I was really excited to get started with this app and do some home workouts over quarantine. It started out fine, the workouts are pretty simple and you can’t track your progress in detail but I still enjoyed it enough. However now I cannot even open my app, all it shows is a white screen. I have been unable to use this app at all for almost a week. I have seen Instagram comments of people experiencing this issue for several weeks. This is disgraceful to have an app that you charge £10 for on a monthly basis to be out for days or weeks. It also means I cannot keep up with my progress at all. Luckily this has forced me to find better alternatives (Chloe Ting has workout plans and videos for free everyone).
I have dmed and commented on the Instagram to receive no response and have raised a ticket with customer service which is taking days to get responses and no solution. Instead of starting new challenges Shreddy perhaps focus on keeping your current customers satisfied. Thank you for turning my workouts with you into a very negative experience.

Least versatile fitness app/program

The least versatile fitness app/programme I’ve seen. I was really intrigued but within 30 seconds of clicking on the app I was super disappointed and realised I’d wasted £9.99. All the meals are vegan and I completely understand why from Grace’s part but it’s not versatile for everyone and I wish I had known this before purchasing. The workouts are not versatile for people of all fitness levels. I have been weight training for 4 years and I’d like to train and record workouts for 6 days a week but the app only offers a 3 day or 5 day option. The workout timer is terrible, there is no sound so you have to keep watching the timer so you know when it’s over which is difficult when doing jump squats, walk outs, crunches, any movement. You also only have 5 seconds to change into the workout which is not enough time to remove a resistance band and get onto the floor and there is no pause button. So all in all, I would not recommend this app to anyone.

Good concept but needs some work

Version 1.0.7
As much as I loved the concept there are a few things I have issues with. I’ve only done the home version so far but you can’t preview what the workout will involve so you have to be surprised when each circuit comes around. Some of the exercises say resistance band version but demos using a dumbbell which doesn’t help with ensuring form and proper use. You don’t have much time to swap to the next weight or piece of equipment. On the circuits sometimes it puts in one arm exercises but never tells you when to swap arms or if the next set will use the other arm so you have to guess. The warm up is inadequate and very samey. The cool down does not target all muscles used. I did a full body and the cool down simply did foam rolling on the calves and thighs. What about my arms and the rest of my body. Also if you accidentally click out of it you have to start it again and skip through to get to where you were. Honestly I’m very disappointed with the usability and set up.

Downloaded the shreddy app when it was half price at £4.99 a month. I have used other fitness apps before like AFLETE for gym guides and I have to say not only is shreddy a sort of copy of aflete but it’s an awful one at that. Very buggy, the app failed to open several times while trying to use it at the gym. I feel like this app was released in a rush and should have had more testing or research considering it was expected to be a hit with Grace’s followers. I cancelled my subscription within a couple of weeks of having it because it was a lot harder to use than aflete, and having to enter the weight for each set of reps was an effort and annoying waste of time, although I believe this may have been fixed now? I like that there are recipes in the app but that also could be improved as the likelihood of a person being able to create 3 different meals for each day of the week is unrealistic. I personally do not think the app is worth £9.99 a month, or even £4.99 a month. I think being able to buy a fitness guide and join a community online on the Facebook groups to be so much better, however I know this would be less profitable so it will probably never go back to that.

I wanna love this but it’s a disappointment

I think the concept of this app is incredible- especially if you’re a beginner and want to familiarise yourself with new exercises. I have used this app every time I have gone to the gym and am about three weeks into one of the programs and am seeing progress so for that alone it’s five stars in my eyes.
However, the frequency that this app crashes is so frustrating; in fact, this happens so much that I anticipate it happening during my work out. It doesn’t always have the option to save a workout despite reloading it and even if I do manage to save a workout the next time I go to use the app (even after a couple of days off) it takes me back the the workout I recently did and won’t give me the option to save it. So frustrating it’s actually laughable by this point.
As I said, I love the concept, the videos and the aesthetics of the app. I am not fussy, nor someone to leave harsh reviews without giving the product a fair chance- especially when several other reviews have listed similar issues to my own, I would’ve thought this would’ve been rectified ASAP.

I was so excited to try the app as I’ve been following Grace for a long time now and thought it would be good to get back to working out.
I’ve tried starting the home fat loss plan.. Even though I’ve not been exercising for the past 3 months I find the plan a bit too easy
The app keeps on crashing and is full of bugs (i.e. sometimes the built in timer skips an exercise completely, tried swapping a body part to a different day and now the week only shows the meal plan).. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting options and still nothing seems to be working
I find it is annoying that there is no way to move backwards in the workout or scroll through it to see what kind of exercises you will “face” during that workout or what equipment is needed..
It would be nice as well to be able to choose to follow more than one plan.. I enjoy working out at home as much as I enjoy going hard at the gym..
Also, I had a look through the gym fat loss guide and to me there is no reason to say a workout is full body when it is actually formed by only upper body exercises..
All in all I’m a bit upset because I’ve paid for the yearly subscription, but I’ll probably have to spend more money to find another better working and thought out app..
Ps I understand and appreciate the fact that the app is a work in progress, but at least the workout part I thought it would have been so much better.. hope this can help as a feedback

Save your money..

I bought the app recently, I was really excited due to the hype on social media. However I am very disappointed. First of all, the app glitches and shuts down a lot.
I am currently doing the home workouts, and I have a few complaints in this area. Firstly, a lot of the moves require you to have equipment from Graces line. It did not say this before I downloaded it. So there have been a couple times where I couldn’t do a move such as the lying leg curl, and there’s no option to swap it for another move. The video demonstrations lag, and sometimes don’t work at all. It also doesn’t give you an option to preview the next move so you end up having to pause the circuit to get the right stuff and into the right position for the next circuit exercise.
The meal plan is very bland. I was disappointed with the meals, I am vegan anyway, but the meals provided were very boring and flavourless. Also it plans you to have a different meal five times a day, which can become very expensive if cooking for one. It had a lot of ingredients making it an expensive shop. The shopping list would also benefit by being put into categories rather than in alphabetical order. You have to cook every meal, so it’s not practical unless you work from home. Very disappointed and will not be renewing my subscription:(

I purchased the quarterly Shreddy subscription 8 weeks ago now and I has been the best decision ever! I have made progress physically, emotionally and mentally which is something that I never expected to happen let alone through a fitness guide!🥰
The app includes a variety of workouts, videos, real time workouts for at home and food (vegan) which in turn has allowed me to have an easily assessable guide which encompasses every aspect of fitness- a one stop shop if you will👀 Everything you could want is covered but it is up to you how much you use and complete which allows for great flexibility and personalisation💪🏼 One of my fav features is the fact you can log your reps and weights meaning you can look back and see the progress you’re making.🍑
Due to this workout programme and app being new of course there are improvements to be made but Grace and the Shreddy team have been so efficient and made changes as quickly as possible to better the app which shows that they really value their clientele💜
Finally, the community facility of the app is one that has been an absolute gem throughout this programme! The ability to meet and communicate with such amazing like minded girls has been amazing and something that I am forever grateful for as I have deffo made friends for life💫
I would 100% recommended Shreddy whether you are completely new to the gym, wanting a challenge or to be honest wanting a to gain a group of amazing supportive young girls❤️

Shreddy has definitely been a journey! There were some glitches at first but of course that is expected with any new app and they have been fixed. but wow shreddy has in general really elevated my gym routine. When I first joined shreddy it had been 2 months since I had a proper gym routine and it really did challenge me and push me to do better. You can choose one of the 3 plans which are fat loss, tone up or lean muscle and depending on which one you choose it gives you a weekly gym and meal plan which of course you can customise and keep track. There are also real time workouts that you can do at home. But my favourite part of the app was the community, as someone who wasn’t the most confident, having a community who’s always there to chat, motivate, answer questions and inspire others really was amazing.
The reason why I rated it 4 stars is because personally I didn’t find myself always using the meal plans but that may be different for others. Shreddy is a good investment for those who just starting out or would just like a change.

Before I started using shreddy, I could just about muster 15 minutes of cardio followed by very light weight training for about 20 minutes at the gym, never counted my reps or tried new equipments or even upped my weights. I was scared of looking like I didn’t know what I was doing.
Shreddy gave me the confidence to go to the gym alone for the first time in my life, try new exercises, increase my weights when lifting and I now have the endurance to do 30 mins on the bike and then some! It honestly shaped my life in so many ways from physically - I went down 2 sizes in 7 weeks and toned up loads - to mentally, overcoming all the anxiety I had surrounding the gym and body image.
Yes, there were a few bugs and fixes that needed to be made on the way but the team has been so amazing at listening and altering anything that needed doing throughout and they’re adding more and more so often in order to make exercising so much easier and more fun and accessible to everyone! Thanks to the Shreddy team and Grace for helping me so much the last 2 months and getting me on track for a better life!

I joined the Shreddy app on day one and immediately set up an insta page to hold myself accountable and share the journey with others.
At first there was a huge mount of buzz due to the 8 week challenge and potential prize winnings however after a couple of weeks this died down and the hardcore shreddies remained.
THESE ARE MY PEOPLE!
The shreddy community is definitely what sets this whole concept apart from any other generic plan.
Meal plan- I took inspiration from this however did not fully follow it. I have made significant changes to my diet in the last 8 weeks entirely removing dairy and only snacking on vegan products. I have also moved on to vegan protein powder and have noticed a remarkable improvement in my gut health!
Workouts - I still maintained something of my original gym timetable of classes including spin and circuits and worked shreddy around this. I have found the focused exercises have massively improved my strength and stamina. I have been on the time up plan. I can see significant changes in my body too!
Workouts helped to build my confidence in the gym and I am now at home in the weights area. Videos really helped to clarify form on new exercises.
Overall thrilled with the app and can’t wait to move on to week 9 and beyond. Yes there are occasional glitches however the overall strengths of this community and plan outweigh those without a doubt.

From the beginning of the shreddy challenge I’ve absolutely loved using the shreddy app. Every aspect of the app helps you in becoming the best version of yourself ! The meal plans are insane, I don’t think there’s one recipe I didn’t like ... even if you experienced recipe disasters the live community chat was there to help you 😂. The in app shopping list really helped me organise myself through meal prepping for the week ahead , I found I saved so much time and money!
There’s also such a range of workouts that I never got bored once of having to ‘repeat’ workouts. I found it so easy to keep track of my progress which helped me improve week on week!
I’m so happy I stuck through with the 8 week challenge but am even more happy the app will always give me workouts to complete and meal ideas to cook, so I am so excited to now adopt a new healthy lifestyle thanks to the app!
If you’re looking for something to help you achieve your fitness goals in the new year I can’t recommend the shreddy app enough!

I went into this app very skeptical. I’ve done a lot of fitness challenges from influences including meal plans and workouts and they’re all great in principle not practice. Shreddy is the exception to this rule. It’s the brain child of Grace Fit UK and her empire she’s building in the fitness industry.
When the app launched there were a lot of bugs and they’ve all been systematically resolved. The 1 star reviews on this product are because of that.
The app gives you access to 3 workout guide/ meal plans. Each using calories and workouts designed to achieve whatever your need. It gives you a full vegan meal plan that you can customise (but not currently load your own recipes). The recipes you pick generate an easy to use shopping list which you can tick off as you go. When you get to the workouts they are a 5 day split and the workouts depend on which plan you pick. They’re a combination of HIIT, LISS, Weight resistance and at home classes combining the three. It’s your one stop shop to a fitness lifestyle that’s on auto pilot and it works! Already on the lower side of healthy and following this plan (not even that strictly) I noticed great gains and lost a lot of fat! There’s a suggestion section on the website where the staff listen to customers feedback to improve. If you sign up to Shreddy you will have to remember this product is only two months old and has already been used by more than 10,000 people.

I was really excited to try this app and whilst I wouldn’t say its bad, I really don’t think there is anything worth paying for and I think if it wasn’t being pushed through an influencer (who I do think is fantastic and love her cloth ranges), I don’t think this would have the success it does.
The app is very simple, there is no homework section, which I think is a complimentary option to have alongside the gym option. You cannot swap out workouts. For example if I don’t want to do shoulders on Monday, I can move it to a different day but I can’t choose what I want to replace it with? And if I can then it’s been made very difficult to find and I would argue the UX isn’t great. Which I felt was consistently bad throughout the app.
In the real time workout there is no ‘what you need’, so if you want to see what equipment you need you have to scroll through the video. Just simple things that made the user experience unpleasant and difficult. Fitness apps are a saturated market already and I just don’t feel this app even comes close to competing with others

Frustrating to use

I was so excited to download the app after seeing such a hype over it, however I’m very disappointed. Firstly I was aware the meals would be vegan and I had no problem with that but there is such a small number to choose from, that if there are certain ones you don’t like your low on choice and means your meals become very repetitive. Secondly, for an app to have be so hyped up before it’s release I would expect it to function as it should. You would think it would have been tested well enough so that it doesn’t crash and glitch every time I use it. To the point it’s practically unusable in the gym as it resets the information you put into the set/weight section every time you either exit the app or your phone locks. I end up spending more time retyping the information in so I can track it than I do actually working out. I haven’t seen anyone Grace or shreddy publicly address that these issues are being resolved on any of their social media - where most people would look for information and all in all I feel the app has been rushed and is of a disappointing standard. For £9.99 i don’t think it’s worth it the way it works now, however I enjoy the workouts and they are killer so if the problems can be resolved quickly then I would continue my subscription. Otherwise there are other, better working apps for the same price.

rushed and repetitive

I was really excited for this app thinking it would be everything the old app wasn’t and a PT in my pocket! The concept is great but the app is very rushed and actually not user friendly imo, you can’t swap out exercises (for example I suffer with back problems and don’t do certain exercises to set this off, I can’t swap out what I did / didn’t do so the app is pointless in recording weights or tracking progress?) the workouts are repetitive, finishers and warm up is the same - what is the point in that and fundamentally not useful for workouts. The food requires constant access to a kitchen and not work friendly so only useful if you work from home or don’t work. I thought it was advertised to be specific to each person but in reality it asks for weight, height and how often you work out (which it ignores) and you fit one of three categories? No personalisation and the community setting is pointless unless you sit on it all day. I started a group chat with some girls from the app and we all feel the same way and many of us have cancelled and are disappointed. Listen to your followers and stop churning out more and more products for people to buy into.

Glitches, great principle but needs improvement.

Honestly i’m not sure about this app. It feels particularly rushed. There are many issues for the app which you wouldn’t expect when spending £9.99 a month. It’s unusable sometimes.
The finishers are the same as the warm up. It glitches and you can’t add notes to the workout/exercise when you input the weight/reps. It also crashes when your phone locks and you have to reboot the app which is time consuming and also causes me to then get distracted in the gym, even the old Aflete app didn’t do this. I can’t see the weight i previously used when i’ve done an exercise before when you click on. Sadly to view i reckon you have to do the exact workout routine again (eg to view lunges previously (when done in legs) i’d have to do legs again if I was doing them in a Booty workout) (like on the aflete app).
I definitely feel the app is rushed and i’ve had it crash a couple of times half way through workouts. I have found it’s not pushing me like advertised? I’m gonna leave it a little bit but honestly not a massive fan. Might go back to my GFGs again.
I do really like the full body workouts and I like the principal but it’s definitely not done or been explained well. I think a survey needs to be done about this app to current users or even a discount on top foo. It’s a bit of a mess and it’s a shame. Hopefully
it improves soon or I will be cancelling sadly, as I dont have £10 spare on something i’m not 100% about.

I’m sorry but...frustrated

It’s a really good app, I was really excited to download and use it. I downloaded the app on Friday, even though my subscription was paid on Thursday, but I was please with the features and concept of it as a whole. The app was working fine all weekend until today.
For some reason the app keeps crashing. It won’t load the home screen at all. The community and real time tab are fine (the both load, although the community section isn’t live yet). When I try and click on my profile the app forces me out of the application. It’s frustrating because I’ve paid for a service that I won’t get to use especially on the day the challenge begins.
I’ve contacted support and I’ve received an automated email back but nothing yet. What’s more frustrating is that the app is based heavily around social media and there has been no correspondence about the issue(s) (community page- or lack of/ other issues) posted to make their followers aware today so far. I understand they are busy trying to solve this but just keep everyone in the loop would perhaps prevent people from feeling like they need to get in contact multiple times.
