I am finding the camera features do not work, which is disappointing as there no other way to bring the invitation to life. For an expensive experience I would expect better execution of these ad-ons

Sound not working
The sound doesn’t work properly when you try to use the video function for Elf vision. You get terrible echoing and feedback then when you watch the video back it doesn’t have any sound at all. Needs to be fixed

Rubbish
This has so much potential but there’s nothing much to it. The most exciting thing (elf vision) doesn’t even work!! We are all so disappointed about that! Seems to be a common issue looking at last reviews. Either fix it or take it off!!

Awful noise on record. No sound on playback
Would be amazing but unfortunately when you hit record, the sound changes do you can’t hear what the elves are saying. Then when you play back the video that has been recorded there’s no sound been recorded. Please can this be fixed :( I’ve contacted Lapland UK and they have skirted around my complaint.

No sound on elf vision
Not working correctly for Elf magic on the invites.
It will record but echos a lot and when you play it back it has zero sound. Needs to be fixed asap as Christmas is fast approaching and kids will be given invites in the coming weeks.

Doesn’t really do much
Promising app that could be quite magical. But doesn’t really do much of anything. Would be great if integrated with your visit like it’s suppose to be or the elf invitation AR worked but it doesn’t. Simply takes a picture. All in all very underwhelming and not really sure there is a point

Elf vision doesn’t appear to work on iPhone
Just gave my daughter her invitation this am and unfortunately the elf vision camera didn’t work. It just took photo or video. It DID work on my husband’s Samsung. So suspect compatibility issues here annoyingly. Child gets a bit suspicious when you’re trying to do something (but you don’t know what it needs to do) and have to go and check the Instructions to make sure you’re doing it right! A bit annoying.

Where’s the update?
This app is supposed to be the go-to app for all Lapland, booking ice skating, notify us when it’s ok to enter car park, et al. Not only did it not do all that, it’s not even reading our invitation properly. Luckily I tried it on my own before disappointing the kids.

Good but could be so much better
I love the idea of this, but it doesn’t actually do the things it’s supposed to do. We have not been able to view the invites through the special elf camera, nor the postcard. I doubt I’m the only one that can’t get this to do what it should. The emails from Lapland say updates will be added onto here, but where exactly? I can’t see any function to allow that...

Not working
It seems the App is supposed to make the running of the day more smoothly but there is not the facility to do this.... you can’t link to our booking, book Ice skating etc... Ive contacted customers services to find out if our slot will go ahead as planned but no response after 2 weeks. Disappointed so far.

Okay but don’t get your hopes up
Disappointing app after hearing great things. Very hit and miss of getting the virtual presentation to work off the invite. Tried multiple nights after getting home from work with my kids, (its worked literally twice even after deleting and reinstalling) but all in all very frustrating and disappointing. Don’t get your kids hopes up.

Lovely idea can you fix the AR please
My son and I got very excited about the app, the graphics, music and games are lovely. We are looking forward to hearing the AR message from the elves but it doesn’t seem to work at the moment. Hopefully the elves can manage to resolve this before our visit in December.

Cute app but doesn’t appear finished
The app is lovely, magical and music is nice. My kids love playing the games and seeing how many sleeps until Christmas, however that is where it ends. The app is also supposed to be used for info purposes for any Lapland visit in 2020.
Reasons being to update on any Covid cases and to receive notifications throughout your Lapland visit such as where you are meant to be and what time to keep socially distanced. There is no place on the app to do this or make it personable to your visit. It also has elfvision, where you can scan your invite and receive a message from the elves, this doesn’t work and is just a normal camera/video.
Hopefully the app will be updated before our visit but from reading comments/posts on Facebook regarding the customer service I don’t hold out much hope unfortunately.

How do you want the children to understand the message from the magic elf when your app doesn’t work !!!!!! Tried reinstalling it a couple of times , turned the volume on and off , put even headphones and it DOESN'T WORK!!!!

I’m not sure why my hard earned money and thousands like me this year have had to pay a development fee on top of the exorbitant cost of visiting Lapland UK so others get a free app without even going to the place. I know a lot of customers feel exactly the same because of the comments on Facebook. Described as a group booking fee it’s a disgrace frankly

Magical!
Lovely story, some fun games for the little ones, and truly magical augmented reality view of the elves! A great companion to our planned visit to Lapland UK, but also good fun just on its own.
