Bro bring this feature back, I’m not using the app until they do like that was the best feature the app had to offer, now it’s really mid just use another app instead of this until they bring it back, you used to be able to see all your matches it was so much better, I’ve had it since like 2020 man :/

Used to be ok

It was fine, bit of an alternative from the bigger well known apps. However the app has been changed more recently so that you only see people from the other side of the world (or nobody at all) whilst you’ve got swipes. Once you’ve got about two or less swipes left to use, people actually from the same country start showing up. When you’ve got more swipes again they’re gone and it’s back to profiles from half way around the world! So in short if you want to actually be able to see profiles from nearby then I guess you’ll have to pay.

It’s gone downhill

Sadly this app has now pretty much become pointless. If every single persons profile you match with has been “flagged for safety concerns” then you can’t even speak to a single person on this app so you’re literally swiping for no reason. This app used to be great and fun, now you can barely even use it.

Suspended

The app has been okay so far, until yesterday’s surprise of being suspended. 🤨 Apparently, I have lied about my age by putting 40… but I am 40. Why on earth would I lie about that?

If anything I look younger than 40 years old. Whenever I open the app a message saying that I am suspended, instructs me to send a picture of ID as proof. 😆 Well, for all I know some unscrupulous characters have hacked the app and will use my personal information to steal. In this day and age, this is the more rational explanation.

It’s nice that you can see past Likes, but annoying that it’s limited to the past 24 only. I’ve run through all of my nearby options and still have SuperWinks to use up, but I’d like to assess all my Likes before applying them.

Also, I got one Match right at the beginning from a SuperWink, and also a Match from someone with a profile photo that is the EXACT SAME photo (with a different name and country) as one used in the app’s advertising. Is she Emma from the United States or Karina Libra from the United Kingdom?

The cynical part of me might think lots of Matches at the beginning might be used to hoodwink potential customers into handing over their hard-earned money.

App is built to make you pay money, but punishes you if you do so

I have no way to prove my claim, but in a month of wink ultra with a boost every week I had just a handful of people like my profile. This is a £40 monthly subscription.

After I let my subscription expire I suddenly start getting flooded with likes with a message telling me to upgrade if I want to see who.

I’m convinced that the app artificially lowers your profile visibility while you’re subscribed and then increases it after your subscription runs out. But at the same time if you don’t subscribe your chances of actually getting matches is significantly lower.

Improvements needed

Doesn’t have an option to see anyone’s local location, height, family situation - kids etc, if they drink/smoke… and you’re limited to how many people’s dating intentions you can view with what it is they actually want out of the app, you only get so many then you need to pay to find out if they want dating, friends etc

I also need to pay to undo a wrong disliked swipe and It’s also quite annoying I keep getting notifications saying I have likes that are showing as badge app notifications but on viewing them. Again I need to pay to see who it is.

You seem to work a very basic service with minimum info on profiles for an app that requires a lot of money when other dating apps have a lot more going for them.

It doesn’t entice me to pay. It makes me want to delete

Low quality app

I can’t send messages to my matches for some reason, I also can’t view their profile after matching which is just dumb in anybody’s opinion, the distance feature is super wonky and has me wondering if I wasted my money purchasing the subscription, why is it I can only see the distance when I go to top picks and not when I am swiping? When I set the distance to up to 5 miles, it still mostly shows people on the other side of the country. Fix all those issues and your app would be amazing but as it is right its a clunky mess you should be embarrassed to even release as a finished product

Used this app a lot back before then they changed it and got rid of everything that made the app good. Happy to see they dropped the soda idea after all the complaints and went back to their routes. In fact they’ve made the app more user friendly and got rid of gems, good job you guys 👌🏿

Used to be great

This used to be a decent app. I preferred how it used to be, it seemed to be advert supported - now it’s supported by ppl subscribing to wink+. I’m sure some ppl spend money on this, but this app will go downhill as a result over time.

As more and more ppl stop using it since u can’t really connect with ppl on the free version the user base will shrink, which will only make it worse. I think trying to model the app on dating apps like tinder and match where u have to pay to see anyone who’s liked u is a big mistake. I don’t mind adverts, I know a lot of ppl hate them, but I’d chose them over spending that amount of money to upgrade to wink+ any day. Please please change it back :))

App used to be interesting before this

Look, I understand that the Wink developer team wants some kind of income from Wink+. However, before Wink+ was mandatory to even see who added you, people could chat to other and use their diamonds and so now. Now, you need Wink+ to just add someone back. This isn’t going to pull people to your platform, but rather repel them. People will start adding each other on other third-party external apps i.e Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, etc.

Personally, I would recommend you let people see who added who and instead add extra features for wink users like increase the benefits from the ones before, and so on. (I’m trying to do this for the best of the company and the users using this, so that both can gain something out of this potential update if this gets passed along!) 🩶

wink plus is a HUGE minus.

before the update in june, you could see every friend request you got and then from that accept or decline, but now you HAVE to have wink plus to even see the friend requests, not even just accepting or something like that. the only way you chat to someone is if you like match, or they have plus and accept you. the app was actually good before this, except the masses of bots, but you know when it’s a bot very obviously. if they put it back to what it used to be it’s an easy 4 star. but it’s very limited for money.

This app used to be great, yeah the whole gem thing kinda sucked but it you could gain gems back so easily just be talking to ppl.

I logged on for the first time in forever today and was told that swiping was free, when in reality i was told i couldn’t swipe anymore because I’d ran out of gems? Furthermore, i find the whole paying to see your requests extremely stupid. I cannot add friends due to lack of gems, nor can I see who has added me because I need to upgrade my wink? I do not see the point of having a friendship app if you cannot execute the functions of it. The app has become impossible the use and awkward.

Why do I have to pay to see my friend requests?

I’ve had this app a while made new friends and everything but why do I now have to pay to see my friend requests? I don’t get it. I understand you need to make money from this app but I’m close to deleting it if I have to pay to see the friend requests I think it’s a little silly for the app to do this as not a lot of people are going to be willing to pay around £10 to see the requests.

New update has made the app even worse

Generally the app is bearable and I have met some nice people on there. Obviously there are the usual exceptions where there are lots of bots but they are easy to spot and avoid. However, I woke up to a new update where now I can’t even see friend requests from people because otherwise I have to pay which it is definitely not worth doing. Additionally, it says that swiping no longer costs diamonds so I kept swiping before it then said I’d ran out of diamonds. I don’t know if that is a bug but the app has become totally ruined. Some people don’t seem to have this feature which makes it very confusing as some people have the older better app and now mine is totally ruined

dont bother - you have to PAY to see friend requests

i used to like this app but its so flipping buggy and glitched now. i cannot click on any page except the chats and requests so i cant see nor edit my profile anymore, nor can i add people. that used to be annoying but still made the app usable since i could just add people back and respond to messages, but now they've made it so you pay just to see any requests. like it was that you could see requests fpr 24 hours for free and then pay to see older ones. but no now you pay to see any at all. this literally makes the app unusable for me so i wouldnt recommend you even bother with it unless you want to feed money to a horribly glitchy cashgrabber.

Many fake profiles.

The fake profiles on here are terrible! It’s a great idea but the makers need to do something about the scammers and also the location feature. Most of my conversations go like this” Me: whereabouts are you from in the UK? Her: I am in Scotland, Manchester, Leeds, Ireland etc I’m in In the south and don’t do long distance friendships/relationships so waste of time.

Decent app but overridden with scammers and bots

The majority of people you “match” with on here are either scammers or bots trying to extort you for some kind of money. There needs to be additional safety checks in place and verification checks - and maybe at the current stage make filtering by verified people free for all users until this can be resolved. It’s not a good luck on the app or developers if something like this is happening actively on your platform.

I would personally remove the “add on Snapchat” feature - mainly for pure safety of users. That should be down to the individual person to give them that and then add them if a conversation goes well.

I was talking to this girl and then the chat vanished but she’s in my freinds but I can’t view her profile or text her back. Why is that? I can see if she’s online or not online, I can see her on my freinds but when I type to her and press send nothing comes up,it shows nothing in the chat n I can’t see her profile while in the chat but when I come off the chat I can see that she’s online but I can’t text her. Why has this happened?

Wink+ not worth the money at the minute

Since you brought out your new ultra wink+ hasn't been working properly I haven’t been receiving my weekly boots or gems the swipe feature freezes after 20 swipes and you need too restart the app too fix this issue not too mention every 5 add u get a pop up too buy wink ultra

I’m paying for your wink+ features and for them not too be working is worrying I love this app but these issue are putting me off if you could take a look at fixing these issue me and alot of others would be a lot happier

I do wish if they got rid of the gems. instead of have just the uk as an option when you wanna pick where your from and where you wanna to meet people from it wide be better if they change it so you can pick countries in the uk such as England Wales Scotland and Ireland but everything is okay as it is and maybe just change it back that you could rewind for gems instead of having to buy premium but if they get rid of gem completely it wide be the best and if they made it so if you buy premium you get access to other stuff but my biggest complaint is the Country UK thing that I was talking about earlier.

Honest opinion

It’s a great way to make friends that live close to you perhaps in a totally different continent. I used to have the app for some time and almost every glitch has been patched but the only problem that I have is that whenever you want to chat in the app with someone it sometimes doesn’t react to you taping the text button and it gets a bit challenging. Anyways I hope it gets patched and that would be my review.

Like don’t get me wrong you can still talk to people and everything but if people are spending diamonds to add someone and they can never see who’s added them what’s the point in the diamonds because there is quite a lot of people added me but I can never see because you have to get wink plus. I understand the app had to make money but the way before was better like if I ran out of diamonds I would buy some or buy wink plus because before they were other great features. this app is a good app and I have spoken to a lot of people through this app, now it may just be my app but I now cannot see any other photos on someone’s profile other than the first one. Even if they have other photos uploaded when I tap across to see them all I can see is the first photo on the page.

This could be due to an update as this has only started happening recently I really don’t know but it is quite frustrating

Meh

The game is good at times but it’s a pain that you need to pay extra to undo a swipe and that the dislike and like buttons got removed which makes things more difficult for me as before the line and dislike were easier to see as because of the two different colours and it’s simple (because I have visual impaired and I find things hard to see) and with this new update, I’m still not used to it and there’s no buttons and you can only rely on a message which doesn’t always work and it’s just not good to use in general, the majority of the people on the app does agree with me. The friends requests does confuses me too because when someone wants to talk to you, and you go in the section with the face down at the bottom but when I go there, it’s either not there or I didn’t even accept it and it moves to chat. Please bring back the old like and dislike buttons, it was a lot more easier.

Fix this app

This was was good like a few months ago, then I didn’t like the new update, that took away the swiping

Then more recently I’ve been having notifications being sent to me, without the person sending me a message

And for the past couple of days I can’t see anyones profile. I can when on the “swiping” page but when someone has texted me or someone has added me, I can’t see their profile like I can’t see a picture I can’t see their bio or voice message. There’s like a loading icon that doesn’t even load

It sort of works but needs some improvements

So after playing for about 2 weeks I’ve got 2 people I’m regularly chatting too but the app needs some quality of life improvements.

Its is way too easy to accidentally swipe left when looking at someone’s profile, I like to read peoples interests and any notes/additional photos they put up but need a better way to do this as a miss finger and they go left. Clearly with premium you could rewind but it should not be this easy to accidentally swipe left.

Once you are friends/started chatting you cannot see that persons profile apart from the first photo/page. And as people can take ages to reply it’s good to be able to review their interests page to remind you of why you could reacted them.

I can never get the link to snap chat to work, if I click on the add on snap option, it opens my snap chat and mostly gives a error message, so I’ve no idea what’s wrong there.

Too many bots/fake accounts/scammers, probably common with all these types of apps, actually checking for verified/people who can be bothered to write stuff on their profile helps.

Would also be great to be able to save a profile for later, I’ve seen a few interesting ones while swiping and I dont always want to messsge right now. May be re enable swipe right and use it for this purpose

I miss the old wink

Wink was a great app before, you could swipe left and right and send a message if you want to. now it just feels awkward. i hate how the messages are sent automatically and how easy it is to accidentally skip the persons profile and can’t go back without paying money?

I think a lot of us can agree that we’re not enjoying the recent updates and how we miss the old layout.

Please change it back to swiping left or right, things were so much less uncomfortable.

The new update 😬

Wink used to be really easy to use, but after the new update I have no clue how to use it now. I can’t see all my friend requests cos I don’t have Wink+ which never used to be a problem and don’t even get me started on the swiping 😭 it used to be swipe left or right to accept and they would just keep coming but now you have to swipe right to see people’s profiles and i dont even know how to friend people cos it used to be a simple swipe right but now I think you actually have to send them a message or smth which nobody likes doing so yh its a good app but I just want the old version back

New update terrible please read

The past updates have just downgraded the app but this update has been the worst. There are now paid features where you have pay to see the people that have added you. There are also ads where you have to wait for in order to use the app. The new swipe mechanism is horrible and is not convenient to use as there are now more glitches and is broken to swipe. Now you have to buy a premium feature to undo your swipe where in the past you’d pay extra gems (in game currency) to undo your swipe. They’ve removed features like random match where you’d match with someone if they’re looking for a match. This was a good feature but now it’s removed just like how the mini games were removed in the past. Far too many glitches which still have yet to be fixed such as inability to alter your bio as an error message pops up saying you need more than 2 characters but you’ve written more than 2 characters. Overall there are too many bots on this app and we shouldn’t be paying to see the people that have added us when majority of these people are fake and bots.

Bypasses apples security Don’t waste your time! Steals too much of your data!

Runs through your phone to look for images and bypasses apples security which is supposed to be there to keep you safe & to keep you personal information private! They take more privacy data then what is mentioned. Another spying app! App needs to be removed! Fake people bots with old photos..will be deleting! Does not even work correctly! Messages disappear! The app lags, even though you verify your account, to enable that only someone who has also verified their account to contact you (Which I presumed would be for safety)you have to pay to have that feature! The verification should be standard free! Not chargeable! Swipe right or left! Yawn! How uncreative can you be! Algorithms are crap! Delete!

Awful very dangerous app

I downloaded app and it’s full of scammers , i put my instagram in my bio and someone requested it and i accepted and they asked me to show them what i look like to which i send a harmless photo of me , they then say “do you want to trade nudes” to which i reply no . So then they send me screenshots of all my insta followers, and a photoshopped picture of me from the app along with a fake di** picture and threaten to send to all my freinds and family if i didn’t send them money . This is incredibly dangerous and if i had sent a real pictures i would of been in big trouble!!! i’m apauled at this app and do not recommend

Terrible app! All I get is foreign people I don’t understand or fake accounts trying to get me to sign up to some live webcam website! Thought it was a good app at first with the games etc! Then I got into the message side and every account I get is fake! Or they don’t accept when your searching for a random chat! Do not recommend downloading

Amazing App - Nothing could be done better

I really do like how it is well presented, has easy chat functions and swiping left and right is included. My only problem is that I got a new phone and used my Snapchat as a login for my old phone but now whenever I choose the Snapchat option, it takes me to Snapchat and I press allow, and then it loads for a couple of seconds on the Wink app, and then it just asks me to choose a login method again. Please may you help me developers?

It’s great but a few errors

I wanna start by saying that overall, this is a great app! It’s great for finding friends. But I have encountered some issues with it.

Recently, my friend requests have been acting up. Either the exact same friend requests come up after refreshing the app even if I accept them.

Also there are a few people, I say few because it’s not often enough to be lots, that fake who they are on this app. Either through gender, age, or just what they look like. I feel like a solution to this is to make everyone verify themselves so we know that they are telling the truth on who they are instead of finding pictures on the internet. However, I do get that some phones could break, especially cameras. Just a suggestion.

But so far this app has been great for finding people with similar interests to me!

Good app but some suspicious people using it

I really like this app it’s great for meeting new friends.

I was added by a user on this app named Phil and I always blindly message people, he then added me on snap and began making weird conversation so I checked his wink profile and his pictures are of a man who looks like he is in his 20s or 30s. He is using this app to add young girls on Snapchat when he is much over 18 and all others on the app are between 13 and 18.

Mostly good - just got a huge problem though!!!

Getting much better with updates. Nice it's completely free. Only big complaints are I only receive banner notification, no sound or vibration despite being set. I also find I have to quit and reopen the app to find new profiles.

Huge problem with today's update. The friends tab across the top used to show when your friends are online - a required feature in any chat app. Now it just shows another version of my friends list with newest first! I want to see who's online. I don't need a second friends list in a different order. Please revert or give an option to change ASAP as it's much less usable!!!

Everything seems to be broken

Where to start.. Notifications seem to be based on a flip of a coin. Sometimes you receive them, sometimes you don't. Other times you receive notifications from weeks ago. To get to messages you have to reopen the app a couple of times. Not sure if it's a bug or if it's changed to a more tinder approach but I don't seem to get any requests whatsoever? The only people who show up are those I've swiped on but I'm pretty sure I've received notifications telling me somebody has requested but they don't show up. Usually I'd give a bit of time before rating but this has been happening for weeks and weeks now.

Upon opening the app

When I first open the app the wink face covers the option to sign up with phone so as I do not have snap I clicked the option hoping for the best. Next issue: I cannot press Next very well due to the keyboard I would prefer if the Next was higher placed and lastly I cant seem to get into the app after I accidentally closed it once as now it says uh oh something that I totally didn’t forget. I will keep in mind I am still signing up and haven’t entered the app properly so I give you the benefit of the doubt. :)

Behaviour

I had this app for quite a while now I think it’s a good idea to make friends but also a lot of people who are between 14-17 have crossed the line. I have came across a bunch of people and they would normally ask me for pics or for trades. It made me feel so uncomfortable and I didn't understand how they think this is ok. If your between 13-14 your most likely have a up to age 17 and personally I don’t think it’s ok for a 13 year old to chat to a 17 year if they haven’t met before. However some people lie about there age , one time I came across a 52 year old man who put his age as 15 and put pictures of him and his bio was really inappropriate and an adult like him shouldn’t be adding young girls or boys on there. This app needs to make more safer ideas to make this app a place for everyone. Please everyone be careful out there the World Wide Web is scary.

UPDATE

It’s quite disappointing because the app was really really good before it’s latest update.

The functions and development before this was easy to use and very flexible despite the odd glitches.

Now as much the update looks nicer, the functions are a lot more complicated and there are icons there which are not functioning like it’s supposed.

It’s definitely a great way to meet new friends and make different relationships but the whole update mad it a complete let down.

Unless they adapt the new update, I unfortunately would not recommend for now.

Right I downloaded this app before you updated it and now it just won’t work anymore like sometimes when I go to do the swiping the just isn’t anything there and we’re the messages are and things sometimes the messages just disappear and and wen I connect with the person I can’t find that person in the messages I think you should go back to before you updated it I think you ruined it to be honest because it’s made the app not work and lag also now my requests aren’t coming through and when I tried to put some new pictures of me on there they flowed them around . SORT THE APP OUT AND DELETE THE NEW UPDATE!.

Atrocious New Update

Not in the tiniest bit pleased with the new update whatsoever. The previous version was efficient, easily accessible, and enjoyable to interact with. This new update is full of complications that have frustrated me and ultimately sabotaged my experience while using the application actively.

The login method is just too much. Before t was quick and simple. There is no need whatsoever for the app to take you to the Snapchat website in order to log in and when you do “login”, the time you wait to be put through to the Wink app is ridiculous. Very unprofessional and won’t be using any app associated with this category again due to this awful, flabbergasting experience.

Update

This was a very good app until you gave it the newest update, firstly the update was broke and it took several try’s to log into it and then it claimed it didn’t recognise me. After a while I got that sorted then all my photos were flipped over but I thought I’d keep on going. But the worst part of this new version is you can’t quickly add someone instead it takes 10 seconds to connect when it took 1 before and it now doesn’t just give them your snap you have to chat to them before which has turned into apps such as Yubo. We want our old app back

Although there is a lot of fake / premium girls on there, which I try to get good at saying no to on sight... the developers have made a fundamental mistake in this latest version.

Once you look at a profile and send a request (swipe right or Tick).. and if they then accept in their messages... you now have no way, barring the memory of an elephant, to see their profile again.

Your only next step is to add them on snapchat and hope Past-You made a good decision. I don’t trust Past-Me, I’d love to double check that profile to make sure I really want this person on my snapchat 🤷‍♂️✌️

Fix it !!

Right so Wink was a great app before the newest update. I was getting loads of adds and it was a great way of meeting new people. But then Wink decided that it would be better if they update the app. And i mean i had trouble updating it in the first place and then when it finally updated you had to log in again even though i’d been using wink for a while. So i tried to log in with snapchat and it didn’t work. So i tried it with my phone number and that worked but when i wanted to put my pictures on it, Wink flipped them so that they are weird looking. 💀So i’ve just given up with Wink. SORT THE APP OUT. i’d like the normal wink back please

Quite good

Downloaded the app and got about 50 adds in the first few minutes😅. The app started playing up a bit though, whenever I accepted a request it would pop up again a minute later saying they’ve requested me again. Also, the app kept spamming me with notifications saying I’ve got snap requests (spammed about 40 times) and then when I got on the app I only had about 15.

However overall, good app but I’ve used better 🤷‍♀️.
