It starts off interesting then becomes totally repetitive. It’s all about money. There are that many objectives going on at once half of them not achievable the other half make absolutely no sense. Then they introduce special events and none of it makes sense. I finally deleted I was bored to tears.

An infuriating and incredibly boring game. You’ve either got too much going on, or absolutely nothing because that little cement mixer delivers about 5 things then stops.
Forget the side quests because who has time for that. Just merge and ignore everything else. You don’t get enough energy for all the quests and the daily challenges never give you what you need, like the tool boxes, you get the odd paint or screws, maybe one or two every 40 spanners. Grandma’s garage clean up is another waste of time. At the end of the day they want you to spend money and they won’t give you what you need in the hope that you’ll do that. It’s a business.

Played merge mansion for a couple of days, enough is enough, it’s nothing but a bad joke, I have managed to get into the garden, now the only option to finish the early quests, is to merge and produce numerous lamps, sounds simple enough, but you are faced with a lottery, no choice on the things the relevant spawn generator spews out,
I.e if you need a large box of screws, the tool box generator will spawn screws to merge, until you have enough preceding merges to receive the large box of screws, well that’s what the developers would like you to believe, however the reality is very different,
The relevant spawn generator will spew out everything you don’t want and very little of what you need, two days and still do not have enough screws to hang a small picture,
Same as the lamps, Edison did not have this much trouble inventing the dam thing, but play merge mansion you find it almost impossible,
Oh and don’t forget, you can pay real money to receive loads of things you don’t need, and very little of what you have actually paid money for,
Keep away, just another on-line ripp-off, badly balanced game, offering zero value,

I've played this game for a loooonnng time - I love it! However, since the recent updates, the app crashes every few minutes or whenever I move away from the main game board (e.g., to access event or collect rewards). I wonder if it's just that the update included too many special effects and my iPad can't cope with that much activity going on, but whatever the reason it crashes, it's ruining the game.

The shopping container never used to require items, its already hard enough to get all the ships, make the cargo ship to get the containers and then it takes so many containers to get the scarab (Level 6), now the containers needing items makes it too hard to progress along those items in the game and I feel like it shouldn’t need that

I’ve been playing this game for over a year. I don’t pay money into it and build gems and coins up over time. It takes a while to merge things the more you play and the further you progress but isn’t that the same as most games…?
I love that they keep unlocking new areas so I never feel stranded and waiting for another area to unlock.
One thing I would ask is that over time we can make our board bigger as the more items we unlock to merge, the less space we have. Maybe do it as something we can unlock such as the blue, brown and red chests so instead of making barrels or cabinets, we create more space :) just a thought.
Other than that, the game keeps me occupied in my busy life and I get to play it a couple of times a day once my energy has replenished. Keep up the good work!

I really liked this game, but newest update makes it unbearable with amount of animations after finishing each task.. I usually play only in my spare time, like travel from A to B, so I want to be able to do as much as I can in and now I’m just getting frustrated.

I’ve come to enjoy this game but it was a slow start. It takes a lot of time to get items and can seem pointless at times but once you get used to the pace then it’s nice to play. My biggest bugbear is that once I completed the Ignatius and Lindsay Boulton events I’m left with a stone arch and cosmetic brush that I can’t get rid of so that’s two spaces wasted and I assume will just get worse with each event I do, crazy when space is such a premium.

The game could be wonderful, if it weren't for the very little space to put things. It is impossible to play without having at least 2 items of each, such as 2 tool barrels, 2 tool cases, 2 toy cars, 2 cupboards for cleaning products, in short, 2 items of each. And we can increase the extra deposit, but it's super expensive, so you end up deleting a lot of things you need to be able to play. I've already deleted the game once and I know that 1 more or less person won't make any difference to you, but it's a shame that I have to give up playing.

I loved this the first few months of playing, but as you go along completing areas becomes very tedious and at times extremely boring, the maintenance area has been the worst so far, you have to do so much merging to complete tiny jobs for not a lot of reward and barely any further along for completion to get to the next area (unless you spend LOTS of money buying gems to speed up the process, I don’t mind paying a bit to get extra power) it’s just all gone very slow and not fun. I’m hoping the next area will be better but if not I’ll delete the game.

Merge mansion is one of the greatest merging games i have ever played! The story is amazing and the gameplay is great but i got stuck on level 15 but got passed it eventually because i had my friend help but we will get to that later.
the thing i love most is the merging. Its so satisfying when you merge the next tier item. I love leveling up too. You get free chests(YAY).
Now, i got stuck on level 15 because i couldn't merge or add items anymore. I also didnt know how to sell items so my friend came over one day and saw me play it. Thats when i realised she had the game too. She helped me and now im passed her in levels and renovation! 🥳 We are on a race too complete the game! ( Devs pls keep adding new places i rly need it to keep up my streak!)

Edit: still loving the game but are the seasonal decorations not coming back? The little house at the front events are too short and I’m never able to fully get them done unless paid real money. I’d rather be able to earn the seasonal decorations especially the Christmas ones rather than that front little house. :(
I’ve been playing this game for over a year now and think it’s great. The updates more recently have been good. Not sure how people are getting stuck at certain levels I’m currently at 34 with multiple areas open. The hardest thing is having enough space on the board for all the bits you need. Focus on storage too and MERGE YOUR PIGGIES didn’t realise to do that for so long and it gives you so much more and helps a lot. The only phone game I’ve ever had for this long and don’t think I’ll be getting rid until it’s complete

I started yesterday and haven’t stop playing! This game is so fun! Not like regular fun games like extremely fun! I love this game! I have nothing to complain about I would totally recommend. I love finding out grannies mystery’s and there family’s past. Not gonna lie I only got this game cause I kept seeing the advert thinking it was gonna be boring. But no this game is just like the adverts fixing up the mansion and mansion grounds it’s super great and fabulous. This is my favourite game! It’s super easy to understand and is just an overall amazing, adventurous game. And it takes a lot to impress me with a game. I love this game! Even better is it has no ads no interruptions just perfect. 👍

Love this game, I can play a lot or 5mins here or there, the main problem that keeps coming up is the time it takes… Come on, it’s a merge game you can’t skip forward to what you want, you have to put some effort in. I have been playing for 6 months and yes I am transforming the grounds it’s great. You just need to put some effort in.. I cannot wait to get inside either but I am willing to put in the hard work, it’s great with new rewards then moving up levels etc. I just love it still a year down the line but, it would be so much better if it didn’t cost 30,000 to buy 1 space in your cupboard 🙏💕🙏

I enjoyed playing this game for quite a few years now, however I find some changes to be extremely frustrating, nearly to the point of leaving this game entirely. They keep adding extra levels to the item generators, but for a long time I didn’t realise this so didn’t keep the lower level items to increase that level because I thought I’d already maxed it out. For others every time I get close to maxing out and completing the album entry, more levels get added (eg. The gardening tools barrel), so I have missed out on blue card rewards at least 4 times now. I get fed up that I am stuck grinding on a couple of high level tasks with generators that have low drop rates, but I can’t use my remaining energy to do other areas in the meantime because they are locked until my current area is finished.

I have been playing this game for sometime and I LOVE IT, yes there are a few niggles but on the whole it is great to play and fun to watch the areas build. Yes you will find you don’t have enough spaces in your cupboard to store all the items you want but you have to save your rewards towards more! I occasionally purchase more gemstones but you don’t need to to enjoy the game. There are also a number of different side games you can play when they pop up like, cleaning the garage or clearing the yard. Beware this game is addictive but in a good way! It for all ages, I’m a ‘wrinkly’ but have to hide my ipad when the grandchildren are around because they love it too!

Been playing for nearly a year now. Really relaxing game. However, why now, since the latest upgrade, do I have to continuously tap on an item to get the cursor on it? It’s very glitchy. I honestly feel like I don’t want to play anymore because it’s a downgrade. It’s annoying. Ruined my enjoyment for the game. I also purchased a bonus bundle with extra rewards, but you’re not giving me enough petals to get my rewards in time. What am I paying for?? Will not be making ANY more purchases. I feel cheated tbh, because it’s not by accident! It’s obviously been programmed that way.
Edit: yet another update that RUINS the game! Now I can’t earn gems by trading. They’ve changed it completely so that you earn objects now. This means when my energy has reached zero, I have no gems to buy any more. I have to wait for it reach 100 to be able to play again, or purchase gems with real money. This is so frustrating! You’ve ruined my game. Thanks again! Very mean.

I have played this game for a long time but like some other reviewers I am becoming increasingly disenchanted. Levels are requiring too many top level merges of items which becomes boring and repetitive and the ‘special events’ require far too much energy and ridiculously long periods between the energy regenerating. The only way to complete a special event in the three days allowed seems to be buying energy and this is massively over priced as are many of the items. Finally, the most recent update also added new levels to items I had previously got to max level - eg chest of drawers, garden box etc. Frustrated that I had stopped collecting components months ago as there was no space to save them and now feel I have to start again.
Don’t bother, it is now more money grabbing than ever.

This used to be fun but now the money grabbing has reached a new level. It used to be you could buy things with coins and occasionally with gems, but now most things are bought with gems and you have to acquire/buy A LOT of them to get anywhere……or take weeks to achieve small tasks.
Special events where you pay to get better pay outs, used to reward you with a decent amount of gems and items; now you get pathetic amounts and the number of ‘tokens’ required before payout have increased to silly levels.
The sauna area is well and truly taking the proverbial as there are no minor requirements in it. Perhaps this is so the developers can keep. Your attention whilst they develop yet another expensive area to release.
I realise now how addicted I have been to this game but no longer; I have better things to spend my money on than this. I presume the developer is full on rinsing those kids who run up huge bills on their parents account or those souls who are addicted to playing.
Avoid.

I love this game a lot, it may make us take time in doing certain things which is ok when you have a busy life. What I’m not happy about however is that the food truck has now been replace with a pool slide event. Why replace it in the first place. We collect points and spend time building it up only for it to be replaced with something new. I’m guessing once the pool slide event be done it too will be replace with another event. I feel like I wasted my time building up the food truck. It will now be wasted with the pool slide event. There is a lot of land around the mansion, couldn’t it be placed somewhere else. Theirs plenty of room. In fact I would of put the pool slide next to the food truck and had the people eat at the food truck then go to the pool slide for fun or Vice versa. Please can you not replace things we spent time on and put it somewhere else. If you keep replacing events that we spent time on. People might think what’s the point of doing them if they get replaced at another time.

I love this game. However…… some of the chains are ridiculously long and convoluted meaning that it can literally take weeks to complete a section. It spoils the game somewhat. Also, some of the special events are too short and too complex so you have no chance of completing. I was off work sick recently and played the event every time my power has restored and I still was nowhere near completing it. It’s disheartening. Also, since the last update, things have moved around. Several times now, I’ve inadvertently ‘bought’ a bubbled item instead of removing it because the two options have been switched around. This then uses all my diamonds which are hard enough to accumulate. It’s also a shame that the cost of things goes up as you progress meaning that you need 15k to purchase a new space in the inventory which then means the main board is too full so you have to delete valuable items.
I know you want us to make in play purchases, but not everyone is willing to waste money on games but still wants to enjoy playing. …still love the game though!

I play this game quite a lot and tbh i really enjoyed it but there’s a couple of things. First of all the events, you only get two days to do it and it takes so long the highest i’ve been able to achieve on these events is level 3 and that was me checking into the app every 10mins i dont have that kind of time to waste.
Secondly, they have just recently updated and as someone who’s played this game a lot i got used to where all the buttons where and when you get an item in a little bubble i tap of it and click remove so i get the money quicker…because of the new update they’ve moved where this button usually is and swapped it around so cheers for that all my gems that i’ve saved up accidentally got used because these lot moved the friggin button im beyond annoyed
along side these it takes so long to merge things, i understand that, it’s literally the game and i do enjoy it but we don’t have enough energy to keep up, we should get extra energy the higher up you level up - so it starts at 100 then goes to 150 etc. 100 energy gets used so quickly especially when i’m trying to do 3 things at once. Idk, this game is good when you first start it but then it just gets harder and harder to play, and trust me i want to play this game it releases my stress but it doesn’t last very long if i can only play the game for 5 mins until my energy runs out.

The game itself is fun. Its quite enjoyable to play when you can actually dedicate time as for the pay-to-play nature of the game you cannot play it while on public transport where you have no connection as it requires a constant connection to the server.
But the devs literally killed it for me with the latest update adjusting the new generator drop rate. When the red chest was introduced it was a bit frustrating as the only way to get it after a couple earned ones was to actually buy them for hard cash to be able to upgrade the new generator which had well balanced drop rates. With blue and brown chests players were able to actually earn them through xp and naturally upgrade them. With red chests it literally proved its a pay-to-play game without trying to hide it anymore. And now they tweaked the drop rates to a point where emptying fully charged (a day) you get one or two of he maintenance supplies. And you need a lot of them.
And on top of that they just keep adding new events where eventually you either have to skip them or delete your generators. Or, of course, buy more stash space.
XP is beyond being redundant at higher levels. Yet you get those stars. And at the rewards you get after a month of playing and getting xp to get a blue and brown chest? One coin, lvl1 energy bubble and a few upgrades for the generators.
But yeah, after the recent update I don’t think its worth playing it anymore. Quite sad really

If you aren’t addicted to your phone and want a game you can tip into a couple of times a day, you just can’t beat this. There is always something to do, and recent updates have made some of the merge chains much less onerous.
Regular events to get decorations are great fun. I’d really like a journal so that we have a reference for what we know about Grandma. If I have one niggle it’s that so far the game should be called merge mansion garden. Maddie is obsessed with the grounds and doesn’t seem to care if the house collapses.
That aside, the other mention is that this game has the best music I have ever heard in this type of game. Whoever produces it deserves some sort of reward. It really is superb.

I love this game and have been playing for a while. I would give 5 stars but just odd things are annoying. Just now I spent 170 gems by mistake from an accidental bubble purchase because the sell and open option are on the same part of the screen. I wish their was a undo option or at least a “are you sure” command if it’s a large gem price for something. I also feel like this recent update has killed the tool barrel chance from the draws? I might be imagining it but I can hardly get them anymore. I also wish it was not so strict with the tasks they give you. So many times they just make you do 1 thing at a time and ends up taking days to do just 1 thing. There is also more thing but I do like this game it’s just not perfect.

Could have been a good game but like other reviewers have said, it takes too long to get anywhere. I play games as a break from work or to relax in the evening. I’m finding I play this less because I can only play for a few minutes then I run out of energy, it doesn’t fill my break time. I’m also constantly merging the same things to get nowhere. Events just use up all the things I’ve just spent days collecting to advance in the main game.
I will not pay real money to advance in a game. It’s suppose to be a game, not an addiction, it’s almost up there with gambling for some people. Been playing a while now (a year+?), and I’ve only gotten in to the garage. Simply bored with this game just like all the rest. It’s getting uninstalled.
Have gone back to desktop gaming in my lunch breaks where the game does’t demand real money from me every time I open the game and where there’s a sense of achieving something, even after just 5 minutes of play. Whether it’s Age of Empires or even Solitaire, it’s more enjoyable than this.

Been playing this game for couple of years and largely enjoyed it, however it’s by no stretch of the imagination ever been a speedy game, it can have moments of ongoing game play where you can play for couple of hours but this is not often. Sad to say that of late it’s almost at a standstill, playing continually for one section of implements, I seem to have been trying to collect stuff from the cupboard for months. It’s tiresome and on the verge of becoming boring. I have been quite a regular purchaser of gems at least weekly buying 570 gems and often a couple of times a week, so it’s fair to say I’ve been interested to play but no more alas. To add insult to injury the cost of 570 gems just went up by £1.00 and is now £9.99 so I will no longer make any gem purchases and will play as and when the gems replenish. Plenty more games try out so I’m off to the App Store.

It has become harder and harder to make progress. In the Conservatory and Lighthouse levels, nearly every target requires matches up to level 8 or 9, which are 128, 256, 512 matches or more. For one target. Then you get the tiniest of movements in the mansion layout, sometimes so small you hardly notice what has changed. As the Drawer generator’s highest level remains at 7 when it should be at least 9 or 10 like the other generators, I have 12 spaces used up just on Drawer generators. This makes it nearly pointless trying to meet the latest targets as they require chains of 7, 8, 9, 10 items and there’s nowhere near enough space to do this any longer without selling (for a tiny number of coins) the higher level generators that have literally taken me a year to gain. Time to stop playing. I’ve just resorted to collecting daily energy and am now at about 1400, which would be great if I could use it but I basically can’t be bothered any longer.

I started playing this game six months ago , as soon as I first opened the app I absolutely loved it after playing it and the higher the level I became the less fun it was I soon came to realise at level 26 it was no longer the fun mind solving game I once thought it was I really enjoyed it at the start it just really disappointed me how it is completely frustrating it is I can’t get to a higher level than what I am now . As a 13 year old I really do love mind solving and puzzle games and quizzes but this one was a no go for me I am incredibly disappointed with this game. I am done with merging because I honestly give up it had me up hours on end raging this may sound a little dramatic but yes it really is I hope to see improvements upgrades and better storylines I have the urge to get past the level I’m stuck on currently it is not working out for me I am incredibly disappointed once again I believe this app was not made me I do hope to see those improvements but unfortunately I’m not seeing any futuristic changes. Once again an amazing game I am just disappointed I have to leave my progress and I can’t garente I will make it to level 27

Wanted to write something having read some of the other reviews here. I’m on level 38 and I’ve never used cash, I’m still enjoying the game. It is by far the longest game I’ve been playing now. There are a mixture of tasks – some easy and some quite challenging (with but what is life without a bit of a challenge? It’s highly satisfying when the right item it’s merged! it’s good that time is required for energy to replenish otherwise I’d never get any work done - LOL!
i’ve noticed a series of updates recently and they all seem to be making the game easier. This is not a bad idea but it’s not necessary; at least not for people like me!

I very much doubt that we’ll ever find out!!! Whilst this is a pretty reasonable merge game, the story unfolds so incredibly slowly that you never really have any idea what’s going on. I have been playing on a daily basis for at least a couple of years and have still only reached level 32 and dear old Grandma has only just been taken away in the police car that is shown in the ads for this game. It is an incredibly slow game to play with the amount of stars required to progress through the levels so incredibly high that it is almost painful to play. Recent updates have improved game play recently but the developers really need to look at the time it takes players to progress, and give us parts of the story more frequently than a snippet every few months. We live in hope!

this is what i wanted. a free game that isn’t so heavily weighted on having to purchase gems etc to progress. this game is perfectly do-able on its own timings, although energy does take an age to recharge to keep playing. after a while it just becomes part of your day and it’s ok. you do need to save up and ‘buy’ more storage spaces though as quickly as poss because the tasks require you to store stuff until the next time you complete them. i’ve just got the casey sign and igneous boulton completed at same time. i choose one target ‘task’ and concentrate my board on freeing up enough space to go whole-hog into it.

Where do I start…
I guess the game is fun but soon enough it does get slightly boring as as you look around you can tell that this is going to take a really long time and quite a lot I find my self forced to stop playing as I have ran out of energy (in the game, not physically) apart from these two minor factors I can see how this game is very good with many challenges to keep you interested no matter how long it takes to complete some of them. Overall I am quite impressed with the quality and the added mysteries make the game rather addictive as they make you want to keep playing I would definitely recommend this game if you are looking for something to cure your boredom for a while.
I hope this review helps and I also hope that you do get the game as i have enjoyed playing it.

The people behind this game are total money grabbers, seriously u can get anywhere without spending a fortune, even a £40 package wouldn’t last you an hour. Literally everything in this game requires real money, it is simply no fun without as u can’t do anything it is just wayyy too slow. Everything u click on to get items requires 1 energy, it takes 2 minutes to replenish just 1 energy so u have to wait ages to replenish a significant amount. Buying energy is ridiculously expensive and each time u purchase 100 energy within the the same 24 hours the price doubles until it becomes absolutely extortionate!!! It is so ridiculous, absolute rip off. It is a fun and addictive game, when your ploughing money into it, I was shocked when I realised how much I’d spent and it’s in the hundreds, I am definitely getting rid now, seriously just don’t even bother with this it’s an addictive rip off and is worse than gambling! xx

Been playing this a couple of weeks now and love it. It would be helpful if there was an “undo” button as sometimes when you move an item round the board to tidy things up, if you move an item next to an identical one, sometimes it jumps onto the same square and merges it when you don’t want it to. Also would be helpful if the energy you accumulate every 2 minutes is separate to the energy you earn. That way if you earned 100 energy, and your “other” energy pot was less than 100 it would still accumulate one energy every 2 minutes. At the moment whenever you have more than 100 energy nothing is accumulated. Just would be a couple of nice touches. Other than that I love the game, despite, as others say, it’s too quick to use all energy up, but takes too long for it to accumulate again. Oh, and if more spaces on the board (and the storage board) could be made available that would be even more helpful. I’m always running out of space and have to sell things I wanted to keep hold of.

I have changed my review to 1 star. Having reached the current ceiling of level 40 I tried to reset my game to restart from the beginning but nothing worked. So following in game support guidance I messaged and asked for them to reset my game. After 3 days all I had back was a cut and paste reply saying I had reached the maximum level and not to worry all my do and coins would be added at a later date. As I had said the reason to restart was because I knew other players have been at level 40 for months and I wanted to restart rather than tread water I messaged straight back to say I knew all this but wanted my game restarted. Since then nothing.. a week since I messaged. Short sighted as resetting my game to the beginning as their own guidance says they would do would mean I would continue to enjoy the game. Now I just intend to delete as they won’t reset. I can’t reset and I don’t want to tread water for months as others have been. I’ll have to find a new game. A real pity as I enjoyed this game very much but gone are the days when you could just play a game over and over. Now loyalty is penalised and once you hit the end you are stuck forever. A real shame.

The game is amazing, graphics are cool, super addictive and satisfying. You can play without paying money, you can spend small amounts here and there to speed up the progress, but the game itself is playable for free. However once you get hooked up and recently they introduced se time limited special events (that you do not need to play btw, your choice) that just cannot be finished in time given without spending fortune on the diamonds, or other items. I think this is just plane wrong. The last even was the last I played. I will just play the basic game from now on. It is ridiculous. The first 3 were impossible to finish, the one before last was quite easy, but that is how it should be, and this last festival was impossible without paying.
They made the game slightly faster now so you get dropped higher level items, that is nice, if you have maxed lightning item.
There are a couple so far progress gaps, there you finish area and your level is too low to open new, so you just have play a lot only to merge to gain XP… but that is mot that bad for me.
So the game is complex very nice to play, but 2 stars as it is a money trap…
All tasks and events should be able to finish without paying. But that would be a different business model ;)

Game would be good accept your far to stingy with energy renewal everything needs payment by jewels are far too expensive. Consequently it takes far to long to clear levels and move on. Gets boring having to wait or pay extortionate costs-to get jewels to enable things to move on. Why restrict energy renewal to 100. energy renewal should be allowed 7x24 without locking after it reaches 100. Yes, if you buy energy you can gather more than 100 but you restrict the auto renewal to 100 max. Plus 1energy per item from a lightening item makes the game long winded and as stated before boring.i spend all my time removing items to make space to try and move on in levels it a totally ill thought out. making what could be a good game a bore. To be honest its a waste of the money i have spent to date.

Thanks developers for the newest update. I’ve been playing this game for months and I love it. Yes, it takes a long time to get stuff but that’s part of it. This is not a game you can sit and play for hours at a time, it’s a dip in and out thing. You can gain lots of diamonds and energy by merging daily piggy banks but other stuff you have to wait for or work for - all part of the fun of this app. And the new update is great for extra diamonds and a record of what item comes from merging which others. It’s clear the developers have listened to their critics and tried to do something about it - unlike MANY other apps who just want you to buy things. I’m on Level 40 and have never spent a penny of actual money on the game but I’ve had lots of fun and many enjoyable hours of game time. Well done developers, thanks for making a great game even better.

So this was fun, now I’m at level 26 and completely stuck and the only advice or fixes I’ve been given is “keep merging” I can’t level up anymore, I’ve got to get to level 29 to unlock the next area and it’s taken me 3 weeks to get from level 25 to 26 with 3+ daily “merging” It’s absolutely ridiculous, how you get event things is too tedious, it’s so much work and takes so long but you’re only given 2 days for the events even though you’d have to spend all your real life money and more to get enough diamonds to speed up things so you can get a good enough harvest to actually get the items you need Customer support is a joke too.. “Just keep merging”... pathetic
Edit- Update, I’m on level 29 after literal months. The updates added to the game have seemed to add £10 in-app purchases for tasks that you’ve had since the beginning of the game (car hood ornament) the items you purchase in these 10 quid packs will get you absolutely no where near the end goal. It takes FOREVER to get ANYWHERE still and there’s no story or anything rewarding after doing tasks, you can’t even zoom in or move the map because it crashes. All you ever get told is “keep merging and doing events” well I’m so sorry I have a life and can’t spend 3 days solid playing events which I’d have to spend real life money on to have enough energy to make it worth my time.
This is just a really exhausting game, there’s no reward or value to it

This is a good game. It draws you in and will have you back and forth all day checking it.
The problem is once you get over a certain level it takes way too long to level up. I am currently on level 35 with no open areas and therefore no tasks left except the daily tasks and events. I need to level up 7 more times before I can open up another area! At this rate it will take me 2 years to open a new area. The events use up so much energy it’s not even worth doing them and they just keep coming. Christmas, valentines, St Patrick’s, grandma’s knitting event, butterfly event, halloween just to name a few. This game is pretty much designed to force you to buy energy and whilst I’m not against buying the odd package I don’t want to be spending my food money on a game that just feels like they want to rip you off. It wants to update the software on a regular basis and locks you out whilst they do the maintenance then tells you to download the update which is usually not even available for several hours. All in all I enjoyed playing it and have spent money to do so but I’m pretty sure I’m going to delete it and get on with my life…

I’ve been playing for about a week or so and I have to say I’ve been enjoying it I will agree it’s a bit slow on gathering things but I wouldn’t say it’s pay to win at all as it’s a game that requires you to just check in do the normal stuff till your energy runs out then come back later to do it again until you progress further and further it doesn’t take a lot of time only a small little check in everyday so it’s good for small breaks and it also gives you a break after using your energy I find it very enjoyable so don’t listen to these other reviews bashing it because they want to progress as fast as someone who would pay would it’s pointless arguments this game isn’t one to play constantly but to play briefly in different times of day

Ive actually never written a review for an app but felt I had to prevent others wasting their time. As another player said its like watching paint dry. You can only play for about 5 minutes before either needing to spend real money only to play for another 5 minutes. Ive personally spent over £80 and im still on level 10. They increase the cost of spare spaces, energy, gems constantly, its never the one consistant price. You end up spending an unreal amount of real money for very very poor progress its a terrible set up, very limited space to actually play the game unless you delete objects or again pay increasing amounts of coins for spare space, besides having no real story or actual game to play. Stick to homescapes where theres an actual game to play without using silly amounts of real money for hours on end of fun instead of 5 minutes of very frustrating boring play.

I really like this game, I like the graphics and it’s easy to play but it’s so long winded and slow to progress (I’m on level 20). It’s taken me nearly 3 months to try and get one tin can! I’m still just over halfway there (started working on the tin can on level 5 I think!) and that’s playing it numerous times throughout the day every day! Yes I could spend real money which might get me a little further forward but I’m not that addicted to it and very expensive. I’m afraid to say I will be deleting the game and calling it a day as the rewards are almost nonexistent and there’s no fun in trying to play a game that is frustrating and non-rewarding. It’s a shame because I’m usually happy to continue playing these games for years in some cases and seeing how the house and grounds are restored would have been nice to see.

I do not like this valentines event - why does it have to be so flipping complicated 😞I’m not daft and I can figure it out but when you constantly have to decide whether to give things away that you need to progress or not and then have to remember how you made it in the first place then just - ugghhhh - this is not fun and I get this brain fog and I just can’t be A*S*D sorry. Can you please give me the option to remove the event gate from my ‘garage’ as it is rammed again 😒😞
PS - to all the people having loading issues - I hate to say it but you may be due an upgrade. A lot of apps now just won’t work on older IOS. I might be wrong but I have had no issues, I must say it would be nice if they responded to all your comments.

Oh my god, how slow …? I’ve made it up to level 18, but it’s telling me the next area is not till level 55 - I’ll be dead by then! As said by other reviewers, the tasks take far too long for tiny rewards. The ‘story’ is non existent (at least I’ve not got it by level 18 - perhaps if I live long enough to make level 55 I’ll get another instalment). The majority of the ‘game’ is spent waiting. Waiting for the items to ‘drop’, waiting for source items to restock, waiting for energy to replenish. Then you purchase energy only to find all your source items have run out, each having dropped 4 non-mergeable items so now your board is full anyway. Trying to complete a task consumes most of the space on your board even taking into account the hugely expensive additional ‘inventory’ board.
If you want a game you can actually play for more than 3 minutes at a time, avoid this. Really wish the developers would look at the reviews and improve this. What’s the point of a game you can’t actually spend time playing

Love the fact that You get more diamonds at the start with this new version however it cuts out and doesn’t let you play after a while this is really irritating the only way I can get it to work is by uninstalling it means done on it so therefore I never progress in the game I love the game but I’ve wasted a whole day and have nothing to show for it would love to be able to see what happens beyond the level six but it cuts out at level five I lost my progress from the previous game where I’ve got to see a level six I was not happy it took me a long time but I thought I enjoy the game I thought let’s play again and now I have this annoying issue

Omg where do I start, first of all the game is really fun and unlike games like Homescapes and stuff, you merge items for the task which is so much more fun than collecting a whole bunch of stars which you’ll just use in seconds. Secondly, the game is full of mysteries and it drags you to the also get limited time events which are super excited and following the story is so fun and interesting, like your solving a real ,mystery. Aside from that, the main part of the game is the renovating, it’s so satisfying watching the mansion be redecorated/rebuilt and clearing up . Overall I don’t believe I have anything bad to say about this game. Oh yeah and there are no ads (from where I am, I can’t quite remember about the beginning)

Surely a prerequisite of any game is the ability to move onto the next level once you have completed the previous one.
But not so for merge mansion. Despite being one of the better merging games on the App Store there are two major flaws that completely spoil the experience.
The first flaw is the sheer amount of time you have to wait for the sources to actually refresh, for you to be able to collect items. Sometimes up to 8 - 12 hours just waiting for these sources to refresh, when these are the only items you need to complete the task.
Resulting in it actually taking several weeks just to complete one task.
The second and even worse flaw is the reward and experience stars given for completing tasks are so pitifully meagre, that you cannot actually even progress onto the next task after completing a previous one.
I am currently stuck at level 32 waiting to get to level 33 to open the next area with no playable tasks to complete. Coupled with the glacial speed of actually obtaining the experience to progress to the next level.
Despite completing many of the more experience generous side quests, I am still nowhere near gaining enough experience stars and waiting many weeks just to move on to the next task.
Surely the developers MUST address this basic issue in their next update. How can you play a game that will not let you advance despite clearing all the previous levels.
This is a serious oversight by this developer.

So been playing for over a year and now on level 32... next major area is 33. But the update for butterfly insisted on being installed and there were bugs. Thats fine and previously players were awarded gold energy for the inconvenience so I continued playing - trying to merge to a level 11 garden tool for the only task i have left in the list.. goodness knows how much xp lost out on because the bug didn't allow xp to be awarded (which with garden tools is massive and would have certainly got me closer to the next level). Happy to see the update to fix the bugs but no inconvenience award..that's bad PR! Now wont bother to plough on if bugs present and lose out on XP. At least with extra free energy I could have ploughed the tools again to redeem some XP! Come on Merge Mansion, get it sorted!

I saw the game advertised in another game over and over and finally gave it a go. It was enjoyable at first, but you soon realise it’s just altogether boring. It takes ages to get enough xp to progress levels to unlock new areas where new missions appear, but when they do appear, it’s basically a repeat of previous missions - merge to create the same item over and over. Items are hard to create as you either have not enough space or the item you are harvesting ‘runs out’ so you have to wait hours for it to refill to start again. Then there are the timed missions where for 3 days you can merge different items to win bonus items you merge to then try to harvest and merge another new item, which basically takes weeks!! And that’s if you have board space!! You can purchase extra storage with in game currency, which of course you can buy for real money - my current extra storage cost is 34k coins that would cost about £20 real money, just to store ONE extra item. The extra storage will give you one space on the main board which then fills up quickly. You are also hit with ‘reach level xx to open new area’ but early on you are told to reach level 55, which going by the current game times, would take years!! Overall this game could be so much better but it’s just tedious.

I really enjoy this game. So far the tasks with their rewards have perfectly timed up together so that I level sufficiently when finishing an area to unlock the next one (I systematically merge the XP star to max before cashing them out, sane with brown and blue chests).
Well this is true up to now: I have finished all the tasks up to the completion of the fortress, this corresponded to levelling up to 31. I was expecting an area to unlock at that level but no the next area will unlock at level 33. This is a bit of a disappointment as everything timed up perfectly before.
I still have to complete the stone can and the Casey sign. I completed the car sign, the challenge to get it was nicely done and nice to play. I tried the Casey event challenge, this one is horrible, too much based on luck on what the mixer requires and lacks the accelerators. I read somewhere that you need to complete that challenges many many times to have the items that will let you get the Casey sign and from there it is still a long way… This needs to be seriously reviewed as it is clearly not properly balanced. This is what is costing a star to my rating

I thoroughly enjoy playing this game most of the time, simple mechanics which are easy to grasp and fun to repeat.
However there are a few annoyances which could be rectified pretty easily. Chiefly that being that as you are scrolling through the shop menu, it’s far to easy to accidentally ‘buy’ something. It has been several times where I have accidentally spent a bunch of gems on a useless item to me at that point, where there is an undo button for selling items, no such thing exists for buying - coins or gems. Either a ‘are you sure’ checkbox or the ability to ‘rewind’ would be greatly appreciated.
A couple other minor things but otherwise the game is spot on and I will continue to spend hours on it.

This game started off strong, with a solid storyline to follow and plenty to do. I was very excited to have seemingly found a merge game that didn’t drag one task out across the span of a day. That was until I reached the ‘stone can’ task.
Up until now, google had been most helpful in reminding me what I needed to merge to get a specific item - but it seems the stone can has stumped us all! Almost ever forum I read complained that this task (which you need to complete before unlocking others) is very, very, very long and drawn out, with a few game players reporting to have actually contacted the game creators for answers.
This sudden stump, and various other bugs (the timers on a couple of my trees haven’t moved position at all!) are the reason this game lost two stars from me. Minor adjustments could be made to make this game enjoyable and truly addicting, but developers seem to fail in this department as per.

…….but getting bored now. It would have been a 5 star for sure but was going to rate three because the higher the levels the more you have to do between levels and no new tasks until you goneup by 2 levels. Levels become slow enough the more you complete so to have to wait 2 levels to gain more tasks is just becoming a chore and just dull. My initial star rating because of this would have been 3 but gave the 4 based on the fact they’ve at least given us the side tasks but that’s the only reasons. Also the further you go the more ridiculous the merges get. I mean to the point you just lose the Will!! Come on look at yr reviews and give the people what they need.

I’m usually the type of person to get bored after a while, I’ve had this game for about 6-8 months and I log in daily to keep up with the game. Some of the stuff does take a while to create, but there’s always other tasks to get on with as well, so you never really find yourself waiting to be able to progress.
Only issue I have with the game is that to get the items for merging you rely on the drop to refresh. And to expand the drop item it can be hard to come by the items. i.e. Golden seeds or the bolts to crate the wardrobe, as they are only obtainable by getting chests which aren’t the most common thing to come by.

If you want to check in once a day click on a few buttons and leave 30 seconds later then go for it.
On the surface it had everything I wanted in a game, A mystery to solve, House renovation and merging, three satisfying components combined.
Except, unless you use actual money it’s awful. Very little (zero) room for error.
To improve:
Voluntary adds for coins or gems -
to make any progress you need to unlock locked items on the board or buy usable items. When your coins or gems run out you are screwed for 12-24 hours.
Time scale-
The above would be fine if the shop refreshed hourly or every 20 mins (a time frame a few games use for life refill).
I would happily watch hours of 30 second adverts to gain coins or gems to progress. I want to sit and make progress and unlock the story in a time frame in which I can remember what is happening. Instead I get 30seconds of play time and 24 hours of other apps, other apps in which I progress by watching ads for in game currency.
I’m not a a game designer, I don’t understand business but I’m guessing apps make money out of voluntary adverts otherwise I don’t know why they are there. Please, think about these features I want to spend time on this app I want to know what weird and wonderful cult like group her grandma was in and I want to see this run down wonderland look beautiful and I’d like to do it this decade please.

... can we have actual timers on things? I hate having to guess how long something will take to load, I don’t think it’ll hurt to put a feature when you click an item for it to say how long it will take in the description. Another addition, there aren’t enough spaces! By a certain point you have to retain so many items that it gets difficult to find space, could this not be upgraded by level? it makes logical sense to say “wow you’ve cleared out the garage, have some more space”?. I do still love how challenging the game can be but there are certain “quality of life” updates that need to be had.
P.s. also think about lowering the price of the lowest price packs to maybe 99p some more people might be more inclined to buy more of them, I know I would

I enjoyed the game but now it is getting slow! I don’t understand the gaps between the levels with tasks. For example between the level 22 and 25 there are no tasks and the amount of stars to collect are extremely high. In the last month I haven’t done anything, just merging items for the stars and selling them. I haven’t even reached level 21 yet. If it takes weeks to level up in this way probably at Easter I can reach the Level 25. I am not sure that I won’t delete the game this is getting boring like this. Maybe you could give us tasks for every level. I don’t mind if its difficult but at least we can progress. By the way, the players have been waiting for months now to find out how we can get the Casey sign and the ornament for the car. Hopefully you can finish them so we could play for it! Thanks!

Lost track how many times I’ve read this but seriously in no way is endlessly and fruitlessly farming with just the goal to increase 2 whole levels to unlock the next area with no quests besides 2 which have not been added to the game yet fun, once you get to this point in the game yall have made what could’ve been a great game into a tireless drag and boring grind. Few updates/patches back whatever you want to call it the amount of experience needed to level up was increased which has made this point in the game almost unplayable. Whilst your response is you’ll be adding more quests etc later in the year once you launch globally it’s not acceptable and there’s no reason why you can’t do abit of balancing to the game or revert back to the original experience needed to level up at least until the full game is launched?! I mean do something at the very least to keep your loyal player base who have been here since the start a reason to stick around.
Also been hearing for far too long now that more exciting updates will be arriving throughout the year erm if yall haven’t noticed not trying to be rude or anything it’s out of frustration but it’s nearly end of October now the year will be over in 2 months nothing has been added?! Any tweaks yall have made in between release and now have been met with massive criticism and have all had a negative impact on the overall enjoyment of playing the game!!

Firstly, THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!
If you love merging but merge dragons is too long this is great! Come back to it a few times a day to complete tasks in your break or lunch times or just before bed. REALLY EASY to get Gems with daily pigs, (just merge until you get pig level 3) guilty of buying gems too.
Still waiting for the Lindsay car piece update, and the surf board update. But the garden is coming along nicely and you have a little story going with it too full of mistery!
TIP: DONT sell anything until you know how to merge them! And you’ll always find tips and questions on the internet too.
