Constant communication errors, horrible interface, and hackers in the trade rooms make this almost no better than the mess the GTS and Pokémon Bank were. I am grateful a service like this exists in the first place but it desperately needs an overhaul.

Great app, but infuriatingly slow
The app is pretty cool and is fun to mess around with, but 70% of the time it crashes or freezes… it gets to a point where I want to throw my phone across the room.

Pointless and Frustrating
This app forces you to transfer every Pokémon from saved games to prove you completed the Pokédex - leaving you with empty boxes in the game and no way to even prove you caught the evolved versions, meaning you’d have to catch each one again. This app is beyond stupid, making you jump through multiple hoops and waste countless hours to claim rewards. They are probably just after your personal data at the end of the day - best to steer clear.

My son has spent a ton of money on Pokemon - there was an issue with his subscription, but the app developer didn’t care at all and took pleasure in telling us there were no refunds IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Perhaps people will choose not to pay subscription fees for your app in any circumstances? Poor customer service is an under statement.

Great but needs tweaking
I love the trading feature, love the bonus missions and seeing all of my pokedexs getting completed.
I do wish you could filter what games better. Like yes you can say ABLE to trade to that game currently but needs an option for ORIGINATES from that game. I have traded so many legendary Pokemon to complete the pokedexs on this app and its horrible when you get one from Pokemon Go… I would love to change it to have an origin option as well as instead of the level brackets being how they are of either none or going up in 10s to changeable such as putting in max and min or lowest number+ with no cap. The issue is some people may want to trade legendaries like myself after using it a little and lets say the catch level is 50 or 70 as alot are. If it goes up 1 level its in a whole other bracket so gets filtered out of those trade options.
Thankyou for cutting down on the hacked Pokemon but what happens to the ones that where traded to us unwillingly?

Lots of potential ruined by split and badly designed functionality
Whilst the app looks nice, and performs fairly well, as a practical companion to the switch app, it’s bewilderingly badly designed.
The boxes vs labels design makes the mobile app incredibly impractical to use vs the switch app.
I am collecting a living formdex. In the switch app, it’s arranged in 51 boxes, 1394 pokemon with gaps for missing pokemon and new boxes between generations. I’m also doing the same for a living shinydex.
I also have plenty of other Pokemon in other boxes which aren’t part of these collections, and in the switch app, it’s very easy to tell because everything is in named boxes.
In this mobile app, if I want to view just these collections, I have to go to the labels list, scroll down past the 30 labels it ‘helpfully’ auto created for me, scroll down past the first 30 boxes (my collections start on the second page) and then select the box I want. There is no way to just hit ‘next box’, you have to repeat the entire process, increasing in length as you near box 51.
This is both annoying, and entirely pointless as you can’t move Pokémon between boxes in this app, nor does it retain any spacing that is present, so it’s very difficult to check for missing pokemon. In addition to this, when trading on the gts, the summary of the pokemon youre offering does not show box, only label.
They clearly want you to use labels, which could be good, I could be able to view all 1394 at once with one simple filter. Except there is no way to add a label to a box. You have to add the label, individually 30 at a time, to 1394 pokemon. You can’t even select all in a box with one button, you have to long press, then tap 30 times. Over and over and over.
Cool, you’ve finally got your labels. Then, you move a pokemon from your home into a save game, perhaps to breed, or to get a ribbon on it. That pokemon no longer has a label applied. You have to remember which one it is, and remember to reapply it when you put it back in, else good luck ever finding which ones in a box don’t have a label. To make this extra painful, you can’t add labels in the switch app, so every new or returning pokemon has to be added through the switch app to a box. Then in the mobile app, browse to that box and add the label to the pokemon. This would not be an issue at all if you could just assign the label to a box, and have every pokemon in that box automatically inherit the label.
Another example is when I’m breeding for shinies, I often end up with several boxes of high IV ‘breedjects’. These are useful to others as a good starting point for their own breeding, or to fill out their Pokédex. I would make a box called ‘to trade’ or similar so I know it’s safe, and I would wondertrade them away. In the mobile app, since you can’t select a box when trading, I’m not going to manually add a label to all of these waste pokemon so I know they’re safe, so I just delete them instead.
As it is, the completely split, and at odds functionality between the two apps makes it completely impractical to use both, and I literally never open the mobile app, except for the gts. For example why can you view ribbons in the mobile app, but not in the switch app? Why is there a GTS on the mobile app but not on the switch? Many times I have found a pokemon I want on the gts that I have in a save file, closed the mobile app, opened the switch app, transferred the pokemon to home from the save, then closed the switch app, opened the mobile one, only to find the pokemon I wanted has been snapped up. If I could browse the gts on my switch, I could access the save data, and offer pokemon directly from there.
The GTS has its own problems, the usual clearly hacked pokemon which plagues every pokemon gts, but also, we now have challenges to collect regional dexes of pokemon with specific origin marks. Except there’s no way to filter for these marks in the gts. You can only filter by ‘games it can travel to’ which isn’t unique to a single origin mark.
You also have challenges for things like depositing pokemon from various gen 3 and 4 games. So you can clearly tell the origin game for these generations. So why is there no origin mark for them? On the note of these challenges, beyond the regional dexes, what is the point in them? There’s no reward , you can’t even hide completed challenges.
Tldr Functionality which should be common between the two apps is split and completely at odds, making the mobile app impractical to use since the switch app is how you actually interact with the games. Only use for this app is the gts and mystery gifts, both of which should be on the switch app. Almost everything unique to this app has design flaws that make it impractical to use. Get it together ILCA.

It auto traded away my only blood moon ursaluna without me pressing any buttons or putting it up for trade and i cant get one back now as the pokemon i randomly got in return was a shiny darumaka which lets be honest nobody particularly wants the game needs to either fix this or they need to reimburse for the loss of such a rare pokemon

With the new addition that completing the Scarlet Dex(s) gives you shiny Meloetta, it would be amazing on the GTS to:
1. View the origin mark of deposited Pokemon
2. Request Pokemon with specific origin marks
3. Search by origin mark
At the moment, you can search Pokemon by which game they’re transferable to, but every Pokemon can be transferred between SS, PLA, BDSP and SV if they’re in the Pokédex for that region. Thanks!

Great way to transfer between games with ease, in terms of user interface it is great. Mobile app still requires basic work like ability to log into your account and functions are consistently lagging or entirely breaking the app. Minor issues but ultimately frustrating when stuck reloading multiple times to trade/claim pokémon and each attempt taking 5-10 minutes even on stable networks.

I love this game cuz I’ve been able to complete all of my pokedexs now. But there are a few features that would be good to add. It’s getting worse not better
The random trade room is so broken after the last update that it’s unusable.
There is also an issue with the GTS trades where players can put Pokémon in for trade and ask for Pokémon that couldn’t possibly exist (I.e for a game they can’t be moved to)
How to fix the app
1. Fix the random trade rooms
2. Fix the GTS so players can only request Pokémon that can exist
To make it a better experience
3. Put in an extra filter to allow people to request the shiny form in the GTS

Please let us transfer Pokèmon from Pokèmon HOME to Pokèmon GO
I really love this game but does have quite a bit of room for improvement. The thing that annoys me the most is that you can’t transfer Pokèmon from Pokèmon HOME to Pokèmon GO. I really don’t understand the reason for it. And also, I don’t see how you can get more Pokèmon without trading and getting the same amount of Pokèmon again. The last thing is that, to move Pokèmon to a different game (Pokèmon Violet for example) you have to have it connected with the same app on a Nintendo. If there is a reason for that, please let me know because the game is actually getting quite annoying. But honestly, I really do love the game.

I downloaded it and I had to log in to a Nintendo account and I said guest profile. It let me have it but I didn’t know I had to have other Pokemon games. So I had to delete the app. I got it because it looked like Pokémon go but is completely different.

GREAT but one glitch that STILL hasn’t been fixed
Ok to make things quick I had a Hoopa(a mythical) In Pokémon go and I wanted to move it to Pokémon home to Pokémon violet (I used the mobile app to recieve the Pokémon” but then it said “this Pokemon has not been obtained in this save file, it cannot be withdrawn” after that I researched and found a Reddit from 3 yrs ago with the same problem and ANOTHER ONE with that problem but more recent PLEASE HELP ME since I Need my hoopa back

Good but whats wrong with my brother transferring?
This is a good game and all but my brother was transferring his Pokémon to his basic boxes so we could trade (I was offering for shiny lugia shiny kyogre and normal arceus and giratina) and a error that said error 10015 came up my brother has no hacked pokemon as all of the ones available for a VC mark he has with a VC mark since he has been a Pokémon fan since it came out and waited for new legendary Pokémon to shiny hunt ect ect so please fix this issue I was basically excited for nothing >:(

It’s great! When it works…
Pokémon home has been the only way for me(a loner) to move Pokémon from one game to another. And it’s great, really it is!
Though nowadays it’s mostly you unable to trade for the Pokémon you want because people from all over want an unobtainable Pharaoh Furfrou…
Which is the problem all the previous GTS in other games had. “Want a Pokémon? Well give me a shiny Victini. Oh it doesn’t exist? Too bad.”
The most recent problem is how many times the app’s closed on me cause of “communication issues”. I have full connection WiFi and my other stuff works fine. But Pokémon home on my switch and phone will not work at all.
I tried it now but the loading is so slow that it automatically says “communication issues” and sends be back to the first screen.
So I ask…what the hell are the makers of the app gonna do about it?

On my maybe 36th install. The app tends to work for 2-3 days then won’t boot. If I had anywhere else to store my Pokemon I would. It is scandalous you essentially have to pay for this terrible service of an app which works maybe a quarter of the time.

GTS is awful
The Pokémon Company has had some form of GTS service available in each of the games for over a decade, and with what is meant to be their ultimate version of the service suffers from poor filtering options.
The service is filled with ‘impossible’ trades, making reasonable trades more difficult than it should, from the demand for geographically isolated Pokémon GO exclusive dogs, to like-for-like trades of single-capture legendaries, as well as impossible region trades, where they want future Pokemon in older games, or level illegal trades, the service needs a trade purge and more appropriate filters set in place.

We need this feature
Don't you find it annoying when you transfer a Pokémon from Pokémon go to Pokémon home just to find out you can’t transfer them back? Well I do! All I want is a charizard and a few other Pokémon in Pokémon go, however I can’t get them in the game because of that stupid feature. What we NEED, is to be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon home to Pokémon go. We can do it for every other Pokémon game on the Nintendo Switch, (I know that Pokémon go is in fact NOT on the Nintendo Switch) except Pokémon go. Wake up Nintendo, because believe me, with Pokémon scarlet and Pokémon violet, people will soon get angry. So on behalf of everyone who has transferred Pokémon from Pokémon go to Pokémon home and can’t get them back in Pokémon go, ENABLE US TO TRANSFER POKÉMON INTO POKÉMON GO!

Serves its purpose
Just started using the app as a paying customer and love the space in boxes and that wonder trade lets you do ten at one likewise with the gts however i think the gts slots need more adding. The app has in game achievements which are cool and I enjoy the quest of completing a home Pokédex by hustling and trading. However I think more filters should be added to the gts such as shiny and ivs. Also would it hurt to do more home mystery gifts? We are paying for a service and don’t get many rewards beyond the privilege of space and most of us pay for Nintendo online too.
I think you should be able to skip the Pokémon returning to you or you tricking a new Pokémon animation aswell because as charming as it was the first time it’s rather laborious upon the 1,000,000th

i would like to start by saying i’m new to Pokémon games i started off with Pokémon go and i heard about Pokémon home.
i downloaded it and from what i can gather you can transfer from Pokémon go to home but not the other way round. you can transfer from home to many other games which i do not have since they are not on my app store so it’s pretty useless to me really.
i would consider getting the app again if i can transfer my newly trades to Pokémon go but since i do not own any Nintendo products i'm unable to have any other games. and even if i did i will not be willing to pay for Pokemon home and another game just to make Pokémon home useful to me.
i would also like to add that i tried to enter the free rooms to trade many times and i’ve only managed to complete trades about four times before i gave up as it kept kicking me out of the room saying i left i don’t know if this is a glitch or if i’m being kicked by someone but if that’s the case should be saying i’ve been kicked rather then i’ve left.
Please make it so i can transfer to pokémon go too 🙏🙏🙏

Great but very sluggish
Pokémon Home is great. A perfect mix of all the iterations prior and a great way to keep Pokémon which have been with you for years safe.
My biggest issue with this mobile version is how slow it feels. The simple act of scrolling menus can’t be more then 15 frames per second. It’s horrible. Waiting for Pokémon models to load slows this down further. They need to take a page from niantic and introduce an option for native frame rate support and asset download to remove these loading times and choppy menu movement.

5/5 as it’s an absolute life saver and probably the best thing ever made for Pokémon but all Pokémon should be able to go to every game every wonder trade should have a higher quality return if your putting up high level Pokémon, legendarys or shinies and you get a lvl 2 caterpie back and just an idea but could be ignored you could make your boxes like the games and so they are swipeable across so trainers can put types and shinies and legendarys all in different boxes of wanted to..
But yet again besides all that I wish I had something like this as a kid for my gameboy advance.

Update to allowed access from more than one Mobile Device needed
It needs serious quality of life improvement to be able to use more than one Mobile device, it doesn’t make any sense for a server based System to restricts you to just one Mobile Device, i transferred my Settings to my iPhone because it is more portable then my iPad for when I catch some on Pokemon go and transfer them to Pokemon home, I should be able able to access my Account from my iPad as well 🤷in today’s standard!. seriously fix this !

Amazing game!
Hello! Personally I love this game, it’s a simple way to clear out your Pokemon and send other pokemon from other games. I would give this 5 stars but there are 2 minor issues. The other day I got sent a shiny Pokemon from a friend. It took 3 hours to send but that was for a whole different reason since I hadn’t updated the game. After waiting 3 hours I had finally retrieved the Pokemon but it couldn’t be put in the game so please allow all Pokemon to be sent in the game. Next, I don’t like how you cannot send Pokemon back into the game so say if you wanted to transfer a mewwto or something and it said it can’t be transferred into the game it can’t go back to its original game so it sits in the boxes! Thank you for creating this game and reading my suggestions!

The purchases and hacking
The game overall is perfect with little to no bugs but there are a couple of thing that cause me to put 3 stars instead of 5. The first thing is the purchases, without them you barely get any storage or trade space, can only do 1 gts trade at a time and only 3 wonder box trades. Tge game would be better if you were to give the full experience for free. Secondly, the hackers. Me and people I know have been receiving pokemon from websites during room trades. Its highlu annoying as nobody wants them. thats it for the review, good game, unnecassary and plenty of hacks.

Fantastic, but still has room for improvement.
I love this app, however I gave it 4/5 because I believe it has room for further potential. I feel as though the wonderbox is getting focused on the most, which is great, since I use it the most. The newest update finally gave us the option to receive all Pokémon from the box at once, instead of individually clicking on them and waiting for them to come through, one at a time. However now I feel like there isn’t much more that needs to be done for the wonderbox and instead I would love to see some GTS improvements, more specifically I would like the search filters to offer more options and be more specific, such as allowing us to search for shiny Pokémon deposited in the GTS, or ask for them in return for the Pokémon we deposited. The option to search for specific natures and pokeballs would be great too!
The last improvement I’d like to see is an update to the labels that Pokémon are given. When searching for labels I would like to be able to rearrange the order of those labels for easy access to the ones I search for the most.

Good and useful
It is a good and useful app, it can connect to almost any Pokémon games and is a good way of getting Pokémon you want onto other games. I think that the multiple ways to trade provide a good chance of getting some very good Pokémon. The one thing I would change is the fact that games like Pokémon GO cannot receive Pokémon from Pokémon Home they can only send Pokémon to the app. I believe that this is something the app should change in the future so that players can also transfer their favourite Pokémon onto Pokémon GO aswell.
Anyway this app certainly works well for me I have received the Pokémon I traidrd for (including 6 shiny legendaries!) My sister also has the app and has been able to transfer the limited amount of Pokémon that she has onto the game without any problems, except she can’t transfer Rattata for some reason?!
I have recommended this app to almost all of my friends who have also found it very useful.
To some up really the only problems I have with the app are because of other games!

Awesome! But...
Love this app! I have been a Pokemon fan for ages now and I love how I can connect my accounts! I say I am a Pokemon fan, however it started with the Pokemon go craze! I have sword and love it! Also have let’s go! Great game but (Spoiler if you haven’t finished!) I can’t beat mewtwo! 😬 Anyway was I love your games and this app has made my experience so much better!
I got Pokemon go back! Love it but can’t get into my old account 😞 I made a new account and began to play! It is so fun! Thanks to this app, I can show off all my Meltan! I didn’t get them from home but from the mystery box I got, thanks to home! My brother is jealous but he knows about the app 🤷♀️ so thanks! 😆
The problem is... you can’t transfer to Pokemon Go. I don’t know why you have done this. I guess it is so people don’t get too good but I wish I could transfer Pokemon to it! Legendarys and Mythics included! It would just be wonderful! Amazing! The best thing ever!
Also, I didn’t get my shiny zeraora. Maybe that reward for connecting to sword is over because I did get the starters. I just wonder if you could get me it if it is still available, if not please tell me. I would love it but if I can’t get it I don’t mind.

Level 2 Reshiram?
The only problem I’ve noticed is that some people request ridiculous things on the GTS like level 5 Reshiram, so I think that they should make it so genderless pokemon in the undiscovered egg group can only be traded if they are either higher than or at the lowest level that they are obtainable, for example: in X and Y Xerneas and Yveltal are level fifty when caught but are level sixty in USUM so the lowest for them would be fifty. Also I think it’s dumb how pokemon transferred from Lets Go or Bank can’t go back. Apart from that this utility is very good.

Solid with a bad GTS
This is a great service. No ads, free with an option for a paid improved version that’s cheap and has some quality of life changes. The Pokemon look amazing, better then GO or the 3DS titles, for example the metallic pokèmon ( like metagross) are really shiny. Speaking of shinies, you can see if a pokèmon is shiny without selecting them (unlike the main seiries) and they even gave Castform’s weather forms shinies! HAIL YEAH! This is the best thing to happen to a Pokemon’s shiny since charizard in gen 3. The wonder box is fun and easy to use! And room trade is a clever idea and executed well. However the GTS is not great and filled with hacked shinies. My little brother traded his Kubfu away for a hacked shiny Blastoise. I felt horrible for him and I don’t wanna tell him it’s hacked. If you are doing this please stop! Anyway the second issue is that I can’t transfer my Pokèmon GO pokèmon over yet.

This is an overall great useful app, but I do have a few update ideas:
.when putting a Pokemon on the GTS, maybe there can be an option for the Pokemon that you want to be shiny? Like, for example, if you had Pikachu, and you wanted shiny Pikachu in exchange, you can select when putting the Pikachu in the GTS to HAVE to be shiny Pikachu for your Pikachu.
.better graphics for the Pokemon themselves when looking at them in the ‘Pokemon’ section.

This is really good at keeping track of Pokémon and being able to trade them from game to game. I got this only today and it’s doing good for me! Only when I tried to get the shiny zerozora instead I got the sword and sheild starters with the special abilities. I tried again and I didn’t get the shiny. And again... If you could maybe look into this? I’m thinking that if I wait another day and try again it should show up? I am a bit sad that I couldn’t get the zerozora though since the shiny is amazing! ( and it would be my first shiny 😃 ) I hope nobody else is experiencing this glitch thing and have their shiny zerozora! I’m in the uk so is there much of a difference between when we get it depending on where we are in the world?

It’s been a day and I’ve tried again at getting the shiny. Still not working even though I tried changing region and putting Pokemon back into the boxes. Is there something I’m missing? Do no more than one pokemon need to be in the box? Please help me! ☹️

Good, useful app.
The app is really good and is ideal for trading and linking Pokemon from previous games to modern ones.
The only thing is that there are trolls on the GTS trade who ask for level 1-10 3rd and 2nd evolution Pokemon. (E.g. level 1 Venusaur or level 5 copperajah.) When I was new to the app I spent hours looking for a level 10 2nd stage evolution in return for a litten, to find out they are just trolls. Don’t waste your time looking for a low level 3 stage evolution in return for a zacian or Zamazenta.
A good update would be to make the minimum level listing for a 3rd or 2nd stage Pokemon the level at which it evolves.

Crackdown on all illegal Pokemon trade requests.
Pokemon is a very handy tool for transferring Pokemon from the older generation of games into Pokemon Sword & Shield.
However what ruins this app is the GTS, in which users request hacked/illegal Pokemon.
99% of trade requests you will see ask for a lvl 1-10 poipole or a lvl 1-10 third evolution Pokemon like incineroar or any legendary which is lower than its encounter level for any Pokemon you’re looking for.
Want a legendary? That will cost you a poipole.
Want a shiny? Poipole please.
One of the rarer Pokemon? Poipole.
My lvl 1 bidoof? Yeah you guessed. Poipole.
The Pokemon Company NEEDS to address this plague.
Weather these illegal trades are legit requests from users or just them trolling others by showing off, it needs to stop.
Something else that needs to be added is a search function which filters out trades with have Pokemon that you currently have in Home if they meet the requirements.
The little pokeball icon next to a Pokemon’s name should also turn to another colour to indicate that you have it in home, and should be grey if you have registered it in your dex.
I would give this app higher stars but this Hacked/illegal Pokemon issue is getting out of hand something NEEDS to be done NOW.
Edit 1: Even after “fixing” impossible trade requests, Somehow people, or rather Trolls are STILL able to post impossible trades.
This needs a through look over.

This is a nice addition to help with pokemon
To be honest i like the concept of Pokemon home but it has a lot of glaring flaws that doesn’t give me a good experience with it.
For a popular example the GTS. The GTS is almost completely filled up to the brim with people wanting unfair trades, one of the most popular is people asking for poipole.
But the thing is I don’t have a problem with that except the level scale. This has been a problem with GTS before and it’s still unpleasant to know that it still has not gone away.
The Level scale is broken and it allows People to select a certain level for a Pokemon that they wouldn’t normally be able to obtain without cheating\hacking.
Combine that with the ultra beasts and legendary’s that sneak under the radar, even if you have mythical and legendary’s turned off while trying to find the Pokemon you want. And then your system is almost to the point of being broken.
And that’s just the GTS.
Another problem that i had was actually on the switch version.
When i was switching my Pokemon from one account to another the items that the Pokemon held just disappeared, I don’t know if anyone else had this problem but this is a bug that needs to be fixed.
Overall Pokemon home is a good concept on paper but in the long run it was executed poorly.
Hopefully this app gets fixed for the better soon.

Good but flawed
Like most other reviewers, I find this to be a fantastic way to transfer Pokémon between games, although this app is inherently flawed. As much as I like how the developers have implemented a failsafe for impossible trades, the GTS is still full of people wanting legendary Pokémon for Pokémon that you can easily find in game.
In my humble opinion, the GTS would run much better if only Legendary Pokémon were able to be traded for other Legendary Pokémon. This would make the GTS much better to use as you wouldn’t find any gimmicky trades, and you would be able to fill your Pokédex without cheating in every Legendary.
For this reason I believe a three star review is reasonable, and perhaps when change is implemented I will bump up the review.

Good app just one missing feature
Overall I think this app is great. It does most thing that I personally want to use it for. Except for one thing. On the Gts, I will search for a Pokemon and see stupid offers that I cant do. I would love a feature where I can put in a Pokemon that I have and see all possible Pokemon I can trade it for. I think it would be nice to see what deals I could get for an unwanted Pokemon, rather than waiting half a century to find out that nobody will trade a Solgaleo for my level 1 Grooky

Good set up
Good way to store and move Pokemon and easy to use however just one complaint, the gts. The level request means people just spam fill slots with unobtainable Pokemon meaning you have to search longer to find a trade, also you can search not to include legendaries (doesn’t work so well) but you can’t search with Pokemon you actually have? Would save a lot of time, just like a reverse search would be great to see what you could actually trade for your available Pokemon, please add these features to tidy up the gts

The GTS is an issue
Since day one the GTS has had so many issues that haven’t been fixed such as legendary and normal Pokémon level requirements. Like I don’t understand how I can get a level 10 Mewtwo when it’s base level is 60, it’s just annoying because I have the Pokémon required but the other person has put it for an unobtainable level.
Another issue is that there isn’t an option to only accept shiny Pokémon which creates a risk to put up your prized Pokémon for fear of having them wrongly taken from you.
I believe that if you don’t implement a way to have an option to only accept shinys in return then shiny trading will die.

Good app but could be better if Pokemon Go was compatible.
This app has become my hub for my Pokemon collection. I’ve completed both Shield and Lets Go Eevee so using those titles to transfer Pokémon over to Home has been fun. I’m an avid shiny hunter and I have a lot of shinys on Pokemon Go, I’m desperate for Pokemon Go go be compatible with Pokemon Home. Home would make an excellent extension to all the Pokemon games but it has to be compatible for that and probably should’ve been on day one of release.

It’s alright
I think this game is ok and fun. You can choose a starter Pokemon, trade, receive Pokemon in mystery gift section, etc. I only have a few problems with this game.
1. I don’t get the room trade. I’m kinda getting it... but it’s like you choose the Pokemon and the game randomly chooses who u trade with?? Also you only have a limited amount of room trades. It used to be 3 am luckily they changed it to 10! The other thing is, you have to wait in the room trade for like 120 seconds until it actually loads all the people in the room and I hv to wait again!!
2. THE BATTLE DATA MAKES LEGIT NO SENSE!!! Also it’s very unfair cuz u need a Nintendo to get like giganatmax Pokemon and U can’t compete in battle competitions which isn’t fair 😤
3. You have to trade to get like the second and third evolutions which people like want poipole and solgaleo and stuff like that for which is really bad. I was thinking maybe I could play with ur Pokemon and on a certain lvl they could evolve which would be very cool 😎
I think I can stop nagging now 🤣 but it is an ok game for many Pokemon fans thx! 😊

Great but there’s something to fix
I got this game today and I love it. It’s a great way to get Pokemon from different games but in the gts function game freak has let the trolls who like annoying other people use the “level” category to make impossible “trades” like, “I’ll give you this pokemon for a lvl 1-10 poipole or lvl 1-10 grimmsnarl.” It’s bugging and the level category should be removed. So game freak if you are looking at this review, pls fix this and stop the trolls

Literally only one thing
I think this app is great it’s easy to use and only wish that Nintendo online included premium but it’s great without it I have just one gripe.
I wish there was a way to filter out the more unequal gts trades. For example I needed a solos list line for my dex of sword I witch it is exclusively in shield. I found trade after trade of people asking for Charizard andantes naganedles for a level 1 psychic type and I wish there was a way to filter the asked Pokemon more than whether or not it is a legendary/ mythical for example the form it’s in like a first form starter, early bug Pokemon or version exclusive
To sum up it is a brill app but the only problems is that people can write request after request for rare Pokemon in exchange for a level one Pidgey and you have no way of avoiding except scrolling past

Create a problem, sell the solution.
I’m really not enjoying Pokémon home. Rather than sum up the problems in a lengthy paragraph, I’ll just list them.
1) It’s a paid service. All some people want to do is transfer pokémon from a previous game. Gens 3-5 was free. Gens 6-7 needed a paid service app on the 3ds. Now in gen 8, it costs even more! I’m already paying £50 for your game, (a game with only 20 hours of content, an awful story, non-existant difficulty, and of course dexit, albeit I liked the rest of the game) and that’s without the DLC. The fact it’s paid really ruins it. If it were free and just had tons of ads, I’d be giving this 3 or 4 stars.
2) Trading is even more inconvenient. You want to trade a pokémon for a particular pokémon. 1) use the home app on the switch and transfer the pokémon to home. 2) use the home app on your phone to set up the trade. 3) wait 4) use the home app on your phone to retrieve the pokémon, 5) use the switch app to then pass the pokémon to the game. Why can’t this all be in sw/sh? it was in gen 6, why not now?

Unnecessarily complicated
It’s a nicely presented app, but overly complicated for switching Pokemon from the 3DS and Pokemon Go.
The subscription is over priced for when you receive and it you want to transfer to the news games you have to have a subscription, which is dam near impossible to cancel. Setting it up takes two seconds and is done in the app, cancelling can’t be done in the app and is intended to make you give up.
It’s also important to not that while you can transfer pretty much any Pokemon to this app, you can’t send them all to Sword/Shield and they just sit in the app and you have to keep paying or risk losing them, it’s not possible to know his before you subscribe, just a lovely surprise for when you do.
The GTS is also extremely flawed as it allows users to request Pokemon that can’t be sent, but very few seem to recognise this and it still lacks a function where you can put up a shiny for trade and request a shiny in return, making a lot of trade redundant.

Serverly underrated
Right, all the hate this game gets is undeserved. It’s amazing that the Pokémon creators could connect these games. I love it. As well as having a GTS, it has a better wonder trade. Room trade is great as you can join many other people in a wonder trade like trade. This game, in my opinion, is perfect.
However, I do have a few recommendations just to make the game better because some people *glares at one star reviews* think it’s absolute trash.
1. A link-trade like system. More like the one in sw/sh
2. A way to filter out only certain Pokémon on the GTS.
3. A shiny option for the GTS. If you had a shiny Arcanine and wanted a shiny rapidash, you could just put it in the GTS with a ‘shiny’ option on for the rapidash.
4. Take down GTS trades that have been on for a month+ (the time could change, but I think a month is good) it’d help protect from scammers and people who are doing unfair trades
5. A home only daycare so you can breed Pokémon and add them straight to home. Instead of steps, it could be ‘how long you stay on the game’
These are only recommendations and you don’t have to do them. However, if you are the Pokémon creators that are looking at this, please consider them.

Trash
This thing is awful, and I really don’t understand why anyone is rating it more than one star. It works fine with the Switch games, but the whole trading side is broken beyond belief. Friend trades require you to be near one another, for no good reason, which means that if you’re under 16 you can’t do them. And there’s no way to change ages once registered. GTS is just awful, since everyone seems to want Poipole, Zacian and Zamazenta for everything and you can’t filter these morons out. Trade rooms just flat out don’t work. You might need a certain number of people in them, but it’s not like the app bothers to tell you this before wasting your time. So after a very frustrating afternoon, it looks like my son and I will be unable to trade as we had hoped because no-one involved in making this app plays any of the games.

Needs a few tweaks
To be fair I have had a good experience with the app overall. The main issues I find is that notifications don’t work and I have to reopen the app to see changes such as the gts updating.
It would also be great to validate trade conditions and stop all the impossible trade requests (like Pokemon requested at impossible levels for their type). It’s so painful going through dozens of impossible trades to find a genuine one.
Overall recommend the app but would be nice to see some updates. And would be great to be able to play with the Pokemon’s and maybe gain friendship or exp candies. Something of the sort

It’s really good but...
I really enjoy Pokemon home and it’s helped me complete my Pokedex on Pokemon shield. And the wonder box is really good with the 10 Pokemon trade feature. But the only problem I have with it is items. I don’t see why you can’t make it so Pokemon can hold items in home. Like for instance. Moving Zacian from sword to shield, atm you can’t take the rusted sword over from sword to shield buy that is a much needed feature. It would be amazing if you could make it so pokemon can hold items in home.

LEVEL SPECIFIC TRADES
I rate this game 4/5 I would go 5 but I tried to get a rayquaza but all of them wanted a poipole which they wanted level 1-10 but guess what you can’t get that because in Pokemon sun and moon I remember playing you can only catch poipole at level 20 so it’s an impossible trade to do als I some kid wanted a rillaboom for a rayquaza but guess what it was from level 1-10,when you get grookey it doesn’t even evolve into its second form until level 16 so it’s impossible like most trades then I wanted to see what people wanted for a weedle and I saw a poipole trade alaLEVEL 1-10 FOR GODSAKE so please take this out I think is is a dumb idea so agai please TAKE IT OUT OF THE GAME thank you for reading now change it!!

Too Much Hassle
Personally, I haven’t had struggles with the app crashing like everyone else seems to have had. Instead, I’ve had a lot of trouble connecting my mobile Pokémon Home to my Nintendo Switch Pokémon Home & personally don’t see why it should even be a thing on mobile if you can’t connect to your Nintendo Switch easily. This is supposed to make up for not putting the GTS in Pokémon Sword & Shield ( which was a mistake in its self ) but there is no need for the linking process to be as difficult as it is. I’ve played around with the apps for days but have still not manage to connect them. In my honest opinion, a waste of time.

Pokédex or Bill’s PC?
First off this needs a better icon. Users know a pokeball means Pokémon, you don’t need to also write Pokémon on the icon when the name of the app is written beneath.
My main point is, what is this app supposed to be? Is it a Pokémon storage system, or a Pokédex? Lots of folk would love to have a cross-game record of their growing Dex stats from across all generations. Especially if it had forward-compatibility so you could really enjoy a new region without worrying about whether catching em *all* is still a thing. Because it would still be a thing, in the Pokédex app.
This should be the free, basic functionality of this app. It would be cool if it was done up to make your phone feel like it’s got a Rotom inside.
However I would say that not all folk want or need a Pokémon storage system for moving actual Pokémon between games, but those who do would pay for it.
This should be the premium service, or even a separate app that I’d suggest naming ‘Bill’s PC’.

Good but inconsistent
Why the GTS still doesnt allow mythicals is betond me, room trades dont work - no matter how much i try and trade online so i can finish the pokedex it wont let me - needs fixing ASAP. Also the wonder box takes longer than individual wonder trades. But, other than that the labels are a great filing system, sorting and filtering pokemon makes searching much quicker (although i wish there was a hidden abilities), being able to GTS multiple pokemon is great and doing wonder box is a great feature as i can just let them wonder trade in the background instead of actively in the game.

Buggy and really dumb
This tries to plug the problem of firstly transferring Pokemon to a new generation while additionally trying to solve the problem where they didn’t add a GTS to SW/SH. It does the former fine. The latter? It’s like pulling teeth, the whole thing is bogged down with stupid trades which no one would accept! Not to mention the app itself is slow, buggy and crashes and every other time it’s opened. Also, why can’t I log into more than one iOS device with it? I didn’t know this was a problem and I downloaded it on both my iPhone and iPad - for me to find out my iPhone got locked out. I tried deleting it from my iPad but it still won’t open on my phone!
Let’s be real here - this is simply a way for Gamefreak to turn the lack of a full Pokédex on SW/SH into money (enter Mr Krabs “I like money” meme here). Everything works as slowly as possible - the trades, the app itself, even the animations are slow and low resolution - it feels like this app was made for an iPhone 4 years ago and they just realised they could pull it out and pretend like this fixes the problems their games made!
I wouldn’t spend anymore on this app, nor would I buy SW/SH in the first place. I find myself more angry when playing these games than actually enjoying it! Fix your app! And then fix the games before charging for utter rubbish!

Please fix the gts!
I love Pokemon home, but the only 2 problems I have is the gts and legal Pokemon. You could show a list when transferring from bank to home to show what Pokemon could then be transferred over to sword and shield. I know it’s my mistake but I’ve gotten shinies stuck in the home and it’s so frustrating. And next, the gts. We all know the problem with it and that it can’t be fixed. But at least make mythical, ledge diaries and specials tradable! You can barely find any Pokemon who aren’t asking for them, and when you do turn on the filter to remove them, it comes up with more Pokemon that you can’t trade! Like phione! Please adjust this Pokemon!

Pretty good
It does what it says it does and does it well. But I was hoping for more interaction. Pokemon go let’s you interact with your Pokemon. There are some Pokemon that once they’re on here are stuck here for the foreseeable future. I want to interact with them. Maybe even online battles. All the models are animated. Maybe some Pokemon camp style interaction. Something to make it worth the money.
Also with some of my mythical Pokemon on here what assurances do I have that they’re safe? It does worry me.
Other than that this is a decent service that does what it sets out to do at the most basic level.

Feeling cheated by the amount I’m currently spending on this...
The bits that work, work okay... however work needs to be done on Room Trades as every time I’ve tried I have been kicked out and it comes up with “you have left the trade room” message...
Also upset that the premium service does not include Pokémon Bank access. So having to pay for the Pokémon Bank (yes Bank is free for a month at the moment, but after that) service and then for the Premium Home service to transfer from Pokémon Bank is very cruddy. Add that to the DLC packs for Sword and Shield and it all soon adds up... Feel very cheated by it at the moment...

Vital if you want your Pokemon from 3ds
Not withstanding the absolute need for this app—should you wish to transfer pokes from older games. This app has absolutely no merit at all. It’s actually pointless, it’s soulless and featureless; even he features that it does have seem broken or half formed. I have bought a years subscription, just in case I do want to deposit more, but I am honestly just left thinking why have they just re-made Pokemon bank and charging us almost 3 times the annual amount?
I cannot stress how utterly basic and pointless this app is.
I naively thought That Pokemon home might be like some kind of extended park where all my Pokemon would roam, etc.
Instead we are greeted by a sterile screen just showing a generic list of the transferee Pokemon. To call it basic would be an insult to all that is basic. This is an abysmal effort, technically it works exactly like it was designed, but it needs some kind of element to make it less Pokemon banky.

Pokemon Home is... Fine?
The app runs in accordance with the Nintendo Switch game of the same name, and includes features that can’t otherwise be found in that game. With this App the price if the Switch game should be justified but it’s not, really.
Features that are unique to this app, such as trading, are buggy and slow. The app feels pretty slow to use in general, and it’s design looks outdated and lacking. There is no explanation at all about how “Home Points” are accumulated, they just appear sometimes. The challenges and rewards you receive are odd too, with no explanation as to what they are, when they appear, how many there are etc and the rewards are confusing and useless.
This app feels rushed, which is thoroughly disappointing coming from a company who literally are the worlds largest franchise owners’. Sort it out guys!

It has pro’s and cons!
It’s a great, easy to use and simplistic layout for effectively a new Pokemon bank! Thank goodness we can trade and transfer from our old devises we may not use now to the new ones we do and not lose out on all the hard work we put in, the only downside is the cost, Pokemon bank was £5 for a year or even £4 and this at £15 seems steep effectively paying for perhaps the added feature of GTS and trading online features, could we not just leave that to Pokemon go and switch?

Great, but Room Trade doesn’t work
The title says it all, but I’ll talk about my problem. Now, I don’t own Pokémon Sword & Shield (yet!). But I see Pokémon home as a adventure, transferring duplicates of my monsters from Let’s Go, Pikachu! over to the home. Then, I can trade for other monsters to fill my National Pokédex. Seems very simple, but I like it. But I have only one gripe: The Room Trade. The Room Trade is fairly pointless, as every time I tried it, it doesn’t work, because some random looney leaves.
And it said it failed. Ta Da. And so, if you can update, and make the Room Trade easier for Free Pass players (like me), it would make it a much more enjoyable experience.
