I had a small issue where icons were flashing and sent them an email. Within 15 mins I got a reply and they’re going to fix it. NOW THATS WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

• iTunes Library Scanner: Enhanced the performance of the scan process.
FIXED
• iTunes Library Scanner: Resolved an issue where enabling it for the first time via the Settings/Library screen (instead of through the Onboarding screen) caused problems.
• Play Queue Screen: Fixed an issue where pressing the new action button had no effect.
• Onboarding Screens: Corrected a problem with text being truncated when iOS font sizes were set higher than expected.

The best so far
Love this app. It’s brilliant for someone like me who doesn’t have Apple Music. I have all my music stored as flac files so I never need to rely on a cloud connection. This app gives the best of everything though so either way it works perfectly. You just put your music files in the app and you’re done.
Hi Res is also supported which is great and it even shows you the bitrate of each song so you know what it is.
It has a one off payment for the app as well as a yearly subscription which I think is worth it as it ticks so many boxes compared to every other app I’ve tried (and I’ve tried most of them). I chose the one off payment as I know this is now my go to app to play all my music. I don’t consider it too expensive as it’s for life.
The app even has a tag editor which I love. This brings me in to one update I would love. Please allow batch editing of tags. This would then be a perfect app! Further options to just play with the interface would be nice but I’m very happy with how it is anyway.
Only improvement if possible : Batch editing tags rather than one at a time 🙏

Excellent Music Player
Apple seem to be turning their built-in app into a gateway for their subscription music service - something I’m not interested in. Replacement car with poor speakers had me searching for a iPhone player with a good equaliser. Search eventually found BTR Amp and it’s brilliant.
For me main strengths (in no particular order):
Excellent equaliser
A lot of other adjustment controls (track and/or album)
Access to in-built music library as well as downloaded files (from many sources in single unified library
Fast UI (I consider I have a lot of tracks in my library)
Completely reliable (no issues after using for some time now)
High functionality, flexible and configurable
Helpful responsive developer
Siri support (only used whilst cycling)
Good use of screen (unlike some apps that waste space and require endless scrolling)
Whilst I dislike subscription apps, developers do have to see a return and it’s a low cost subscription and there is a single purchase option available.
