Looking for another sudoku app
This was an excellent app until the recent UI update. Now it’s borderline unusable - several seconds delay in touch response, runs my phone hot and eats through the battery. I was on the verge of paying to go ad free but not now.

Too many adverts
The game is good and does what it should but every time I start a new game I have to watch an advert and this makes me want to close the app. If it was one advert every 10 games, I would accept that but every game is too much. The adverts are the reason for the low star rating, not the app itself.

i don’t like how you have mistakes ? and u have a limit of 3 mistakes, i thought you could be able to place numbers and backtrack and erase your mistakes but instead it tells you where you’ve gone wrong and ends the game if you’ve failed 3 times.

If you make ANY mistake, it counts toward the mistake bar. WHERES THE TRIAL AND ERROR THEY EXPECT YOU TO DO IT ON YOUR FIRST GO

Mid game ads😕
I used to love this app until I got a newer version on a new device.
Now I’m getting multiple ads in the middle of a game. This is totally inappropriate for such a game, and I will delete the app if this doesn’t stop.
I accept ads are inevitable in a “free”app but get the balance right!

Annoying
The adverts popping up are a piss-take. Finished a puzzle - an ad pops up. Make a mistake? Ad pops up. Etc, etc. Most annoying is the fact it’s not clear when you’re in ‘notes’ mode, thus creating more errors, thus creating more failed games.

Refresh is a problem
Great app - one problem is that if you’re doing a puzzle as part of a challenge (e.g. for themes or an event), and go do something else for a while, the puzzle will still be there half-finished when you come back but *won’t* remember it’s part of the challenge. You have to start a whole new puzzle.

Intrusive sound that you can’t turn off
Probably the only app I’ve ever come across where you cannot seem to turn the sound off. Sound off on phone. Sound off in app. Jarring advertising still active. Good grief…. it’s not now enough that these apps are littered with so many crap ads but it’s impossible to not listen to them …… deleting for something less intrusive and my own sanity.

After trying 1 game an ad for solitaire cash came on & couldn’t be turned off to play again. I understand the ads but surely it should be poss to turn off.

Causing iPhone to overheat and saps battery
I quite liked this app apart from the awful ads but found that my battery was draining really quickly and when the app was running my iPhone XR would get really hot. After about 2 weeks the app started freezing so I have deleted it.

Gets stuck on ads
Nice, simple, conventional sudoku layout. Very clear and easy to play. Video ads are a bit annoying, eventually one just stuck with no way to exit apart from uninstalling - I’m sure that’s not what the advertisers want.

Not bad at all!
I’ve tried and used many Sudoku apps, and the input for numbers and pencil marks is really simple with this one. Two gripes, but they are personal, although I think others would agree with me. The expert level is fairly straight forward, in fact it’s not really challenging at all, so despite the clear and easy interface, it’s no good for me. A next ‘extreme’ level would make it. The other very simple improvement would be dark mode. It’s becoming more common in most apps, and particularly useful at night. Just a thought, but a great start.

Questionable
I’ve tried at least 4 Sudoku games on my iPhone & this is the most annoying. Not only does the performance become more & more sluggish, but the “hints” are preposterous; they give you answers that could not possibly be worked out logically.
There’s also a problem with the spacing of the candidate numbers, which has registered more “errors” than on any other Sudoku game I’ve played. (Eg you hit a 2 & it registers that you’ve hit an incorrect 1). Also, most times I’ve launched this, it selects “Expert” level by default. I play mostly at “Hard” level, as their “Expert” games can take me over 20 minutes to solve - and then only by guessing numbers or taking the dubious “hints”. Many so-called Hard games are actually at Expert level - the degree of difficulty varies widely within a classification.
I’ve now deleted this game from my phone.

Not very good for people who are not skilled
Unless u have patients and time this app is very bad as u only have 3 goes before you have to make a new game or watch an ad to carry on instead just tell us it’s wrong and let us carry on

Ok but...
I’ve only just got this app, 2 comments to make, the first is how do I find the extended suduko, 16 numbers per block?
Secondly, I agree with one of the other comments the numbers are way too small making it harder to see your way around, not the numbers on the main grid.

Excellent sudoku app
Excellent sudoku app all round, but the new update has changed the size of the font and it isn’t as easy to read now!
May get used to it, but would appreciate a way of changing it back to how it was before.
