Don’t bother wasting your time.

App is riddled with ads. Everything you do you have to watch ads.

If you want to get any decent player you have to commit to purchasing the season pass, the so called “legendary” crates are a scam you don’t get legendary’s out of them.

As follow

17 epic crates = 2 gold’s 10 silver’s 5 no players.

22 legendary crate’s = 7 gold’s, 15 silver’s.

It’s practically impossible for you to have fun in this game unless you have the best players, you’re not getting these unless it’s through the season pass. Even if you load up on gems like I did to open the crates you don’t get anything decent.

Also the game play itself it’s mind numbing, all there is to it is pass it back to GK, long ball forward and pass it across to someone in the box. That is literally all the game play. There’s no skill or there’s nothing that resembles football here.

Absolutely disgraceful game. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Positives ruined by awful broken mechanics

There’s a lot of good to this game. Amazing graphics, cool card collecting function, real licensing of players, etc. However, it gets rated down heavily because of how broken the gameplay actually is. Players first touches are completely random and often screw you over by going in the complete wrong direction, the ball bounces randomly at times straight back to your opponent (funnily enough, these things seem to happen more if you haven’t paid money to buy additional content). Players can also be unstoppable; tall attackers like Haaland cannot be beaten to headers and therefore are near guaranteed to score from every cross. Goalkeepers let in shots straight at them and fly across the goal to pull shots out of the top corner. It’s so frustrating the game is so broken yet the developers refuse to fix any of these consistent issues despite consistent feedback from users, therefore it only deserves 2 stars despite some good aspects

Good but frustrating

Good game, but can be frustrating. Your opponent, usually named Gustavo, will play a long ball into the channel for his 96 rated Mbappe to run onto, who will then cross for 95 rated Haaland to head home, and this will work every single time; nothing you can do about it. By comparison, your 95 rated Messi or Salah will repeatedly turn straight into defenders, display the touch of a League 2 forward, and almost every shot will cannon off the post or crossbar to allow your opponent to pick up the loose ball and proceed to score using the aforementioned long ball and cross combo.

Fun when it works, but otherwise incredibly frustrating

Overall it’s a decent game, but it can be incredibly frustrating to play.

Most of the frustration probably boils down to the fact that this could have been the best mobile football game available at the moment, but there are some awful mechanics / control decisions that make certain scenarios impossible to deal with.

The positives:

- It’s graphically well designed.

- It has official player licences for people who care about that.

- Attacking play is fairly fun and easy to control, probably better than the majority of “bigger names” in mobile football gaming.

The negatives:

- It rarely feels like you’re battling your fellow players, as opposed to battling against the game mechanics.

- Defence is almost entirely automated and rarely makes sense - as noted elsewhere, defending players frequently run in the wrong direction and there’s no way to control this.

- Set pieces are a cheat code. I’d say everyone scores a goal from ~90% of corners and free kicks. As the defence is automated, there’s no way to intervene here.

Good game but big problems

The gameplay is smooth and it plays really well. But there are some glaring problems that could be easily fixed: 1. Formations - There should be more than 2/3 formations. It limits the fun you can have by not allowing the players to pick the team they want. 2. Kits - Whilst the ranked kits do emulate those of real kits, there’s not enough customisation with the kits. It would be good if you could mix and match shirts and shorts to make your kit unique. 3. Replays - The replays in the game aren’t as quality as the ones from the Score! series. At times, they’re very laggy and skip part of the goal. Other times, they are very slow and it ruins the effect of a really good goal. Fix any one of these, and it will make a good game even better. Can’t wait for the new seasons.

The AI never goes for the ball. If the ball is loose but the opponent is one step closer to it, the AI lets them have it. The controls also are frustrating sometimes, you try turn the camera and you pass. It’s a good concept, but the anger it gives me is unmatched

Great game

I’ve been playing for a week and besides a few little irritating things it’s excellent.

Like the real world, refereeing decisions seem very inconsistent and what gets a free kick against you seems to go unseen when it’s the other way round, ah well, such is life.

It will be one to grind out the games if you’re not prepared to spend a few £’s but let’s face it, it’s a game and a good one too and you pretty much choose when to watch an advert.

Nothing to do with football but good bit of fun against the AI

Frankly, you cannot defend... there are no defending mechanics other than press and slide tackle. Losing the ball is easy if you don't have Mbappe or a quick player on the ball. I believe they named it soccer in the title due to the lack of connection to real football.

Player and movement design is "first touch"-esque though and attacking is quite fun, although the accuracy is all down to the device and app recognition.

Spent money on this game (regrettably) and hope they fix the shooting/defending bugs soon.

If you want to play a real mobile football game with much better mechanics, I suggest dream league soccer or even ea fc mobile.

If you want a fair and accurate review of this game, read Mariusr45’s review from December 19th 2023

Marius hit the nail on the head with many of their complaints, I would recommend reading their review to see how many different aspects you agree with.

The stats of many players truly count for nothing - an 80 rated Cervi will make your 85-90 rated defenders useless as he will simply bypass them.

Defending is essentially non-existent, the AI seems clumsy and you have no control over what they actually do, good luck if you’re coming up against a player like Mbappe - your defenders won’t get near him to make a tackle of any description.

Most of the goals you score/concede will be similar in that you’re essentially using exploits, guaranteeing yourself a goal with the right actions and players. Again, the defensive AI is awful and you have no real control over their movement

The “make a run” and tackle mechanics fail to work in any circumstance that would lead to the chosen player being “out of position” (according to the game’s engine or however the code works) - this affects all players, e.g. your left back will not push up the pitch to engage the opponent’s right back. This is also seen in attacking players who will often stand in position rather than run to where you have commanded them to, which usually leads to lost possession.

There should absolutely be a transfer market to sell unwanted players and buy others. In my specific circumstance, I have plenty of highly rated attacking and defending players, and a significant lack of midfield players. Unfortunately, I suspect this is by design to entice you into spending money on their packages. I personally only ever open packages that I’ve earned through gameplay, it *is* possible to obtain good players this way but requires time and patience.

Admittedly, the game does still have enjoyable aspects at times. There is some amount of skill and understanding of football that will get you so far, but eventually like others have said, you will start running into people who have clearly spent money on building a team and it can become difficult to compete. The mechanics are fairly simple and easy to grasp, the graphics are good, and the movement of players and ball are reasonably natural.

Overall, my honest rating of this game is a 5/10. Plenty of room for improvement, many of the harsher reviews are fair in my opinion. I hope First Touch Games takes onboard some of the criticisms, though unfortunately I expect few changes to be made.

(Currently 1400 matches played, 1932 goals scored and a 62.6% win ratio, if that gives my opinion any more weight.)

Upsetting Times

Brilliant Game. Thoroughly enjoyed it to begin with however it became apparent that you cannot begin to make any progress without putting personal funds into the game.

Match fixing should be rectified so that you play teams not based upon your level rating but around your team rating.

Coins/Gems should be awarded each game:

As you go through the ranks of levelling up and gaining better quality players you have no way of paying for their contracts , as you don’t have a way or means of earning enough gems/coins to cover there contract renewal costs.

More formation variation:

You should be able to pick between minimum of 3-5 formation types. By gaining players you can’t sometimes even play them with your current players due to difficulties surrounding formation changes. You don’t want to have to swap your current players who are performing you want to play your new additions alongside your current in form squad.

Hopefully these get sorted to make this a more enjoyable experience. I have now deleted the app as I cannot progress without having to put my own personal money in the app by buying contracts & gems which I have chosen against.

Please all bare in mind I am level 8.

The first time I seen this game I was excited because I like playing score hero. The only problem with score hero was that you can’t dribble . But in this game you can dribble , pressure and blah blah blah. But after playing this game more I realised how bad this game is.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

If you finally want a game that values time and effort instead of pay to win DO NOT PLAY THIS GARBAGE. No matter how much time you put in it’s almost impossible to get a good player without putting money in, it’s easier to pack R9 on Fifa ultimate team. Gameplay is horrendous and it’s clear if you pay you get better players all you have to do is shoot from 50 yards out it goes in but if you try building it up yourself and just about scrape some decent players, they will miss from 50 yards out, worse than FIFA will get you raging more all for PlayStation 1 graphics and awful little minute games where someone winning can just waste last 20 seconds passing around the back. The more money you spend the more you will win

Wanted to write a review for a while now.

The good:

- enjoyable game in terms of collecting and upgrading players

- easy controls

The bad:

- players disconnect often if they will lose meaning you lose some perks (time when contracts frozen) and nothing is done against those players nor you get frozen time added back on

- player rating doesn’t matter because 82 outruns 95, a stronger taller player is worse at heading than a lesser player

- players who visibly spent money (have exclusive mascots etc) get more favourable outcomes during game

- when you expect a pass to be a lob, it could be a direct pass and vice versa, no way to do specific pass you want

- when you intercept a ball, your player could be running around the ball until opponent gets it back

- dynamic zoom is crap because it can freeze when you’re on defence meaning you can’t defend properly

- overall the actual gameplay is very poor, laggy, doesn’t do what you actually expect it to do, and money matters

- sometimes you can see keeper managing to jump from on post to the other post like a superman. Same with other players, you can see them do unrealistic sprints

Overall the coding and performance of the players is poor, doesn’t reflect stats, favours money spenders

Game is good to kill time BUT be prepared to be amazed how crap, glitchy and poorly designed the gameplay is

I think this could even be better although I think Benaccer should be higher rated because of how good he is. He is currently 84 rated but with the current midfield and striker rated boost by 1 he is 85 and I really like having a legendary card on my team.

Predetermined results ruins it

There are some games that no matter what you do, the game has decided beforehand you aren’t winning. 7-8 shots on goal, all saved, opponent does nothing then you lose on penalties, when their goalkeeper dives wrong way and it hits him anyway and you lose. Very glitchy referee decisions which ruins an otherwise game to play. When the game lets it be a fair contest, it’s enjoyable, otherwise you’re as well quitting that game and trying a different opponent as the fun and competition is removed entirely. If fixed could be a really really good wee game, if not it’ll end up being deleted and I move onto something else sooner rather than later.

My honest review is it’s starts off ok and you will win a few games. But then it turns against you and you struggle for a win. P2W is a major factor and your top players will run out of contracts constantly, and with the scripting of the game always going against you, you won’t be able to renew them without paying with real money. You can dominate the match but the other team gk bronze rated playing like prime Buffon saving every shot and the other team 1 shot goal win constantly happens. Don’t download this game it’s a cash grab of a game.

Why are there so many stupid parts to this game

After making a decision on the play you want to do, the ai takes control and is so stupid, occasionally doing the exact opposite of what you told it to do, ruining everything. Some examples I have are players who passed the ball too deciding to run around the ball, never actually kick it and let the other team have it. Also when I tap to make a player go sideways, they just occasionally decide to run forwards a bit as well which means they get tackled.

Also, something else that is very annoying is the idea that the players have contracts that you have to pay for. I get the idea of having a contract so you have to manage the money you make, but then why also have the money that you need to pay them with be in a loot box, it was already random chance as to whether I got the player in the first place, why did you then also randomize whether or not I could play with them afterwards?

The game seems like it could be potentially fun, but there are so many stupid decisions in the games design and coding that make it so hard to actually enjoy the game

It’s a great concept and it’s fun that you actually play the games but you eventually get to platinum level players who’s contracts cost way too much. You win a game and only get bronze chests which means it’s nowhere near enough contracts for these players. This is a very fun game to play - little complaints about the gameplay or anything like that.

However this game is a product of the most capitalistic greedy developers I’ve ever come across - everything costs money. If you want to develop in the game you have to buy the season pass or bucks/gems. VERY PAY TO WIN

Don’t get me wrong this is an amazing game, but the thing that tears it all down is the contracts, I don’t understand why we have to have these in the game, I continue to spend money on the currency and when I’m offline and then I’m back on, about half the contracts have been depleted, it just feels like another way to fool us to rip us off, please dont make contracts exist anymore and add a market as well, where people can sell their players for currency. FIX THIS NOW!

Good fun game but far to inconsistent

I enjoy playing the game but it is very frustrating , almost to the point where i have nearly deleted the game.

Game play itself is good, and if you don’t want to spend money there isn’t really any pressure to do so. However there seems to be a real inconsistency in the how your players play. You can go on a run of wins but as you get closer to moving up a level, all of a sudden you can’t seem to get a victory, your players don’t tackle the opposition, they seem to check the run and then try and close the player down, but never make a tackle. The opposition seem to be able to dribble past 3 or 4 players unopposed and score with almost every attempt. Yet when I get a chance, draw a good line towards the goal and it either goes wide or the keeper makes an unreal save.

When you receive boxes after a win, there seems to be another inconsistency. Have opened a number of boxes without any reward of a new player and when it is an epic, rare or on the very very rare occasion a legendary bow, the player doesn’t match up with the box.

Maybe something the developers can look into?

This is a very good game but there is one main thing which is putting me off it every time I play. I constantly have no money as I am always spending it on contracts. This needs to be changed. I also don’t get enough coins to pay for the contracts so I have to use my gems. What’s the point in getting money if you can never use it for anything but contracts? I constantly have to shut the game down as I don’t have the money to pay for a contact? This makes no sense. It shouldn’t prevent people from playing the game because they can’t pay because they haven’t been given enough money??? This is a major flaw in the game

Shame

It’s nearly one of the best football games I’ve played on mobile… The key word there is nearly. The gameplay is really good, it’s a fast paced game which is something I really like about it. However, like a lot of the other reviews are saying is that it’s far to dependent on in game purchases to improve. If you don’t buy the season pass or gems you have no chance of improving or even playing the game, I say this because it’s too hard to get bux and too expensive to buy contracts. Also, buying packs or crates to NOT get a player is ridiculous! All in all, it’s a very fun game to play for a few days until you realise your not making any progress. Everything needs to be made cheaper and better players need to be available in packs.

Fun game, simple concept and love playing it. But have lost interest as every pod never gives you players and if you’re lucky you get a bronze or silver player. Even in the better pods I waited a day for it to open just to get nothing which just seems pointless. My team has barely improved but you can still beat people, it’s just a lot harder as they can do a couple of passes and score with their 88 rated player

Good game, offside is broken though.

Overall this is a fun free game to play, haven’t put any money into it myself and it shows with the quality of players you get from your 4 hour long packs. Unfortunately the rules of the game don’t reflect football, cause I’ve never seen a player called offside for intercepting an opposing keepers pass out..

Not this time

Fun game but if I keep seeing the words “not this time” I’m probably going to quit playing. It’s not fun to open park after pack and you haven’t pulled a new player in any of them, or to wait ages to finally get a rare or epic pack but nope, nothing in it. I haven’t got one decent player since the one they give you at the very start. What makes it worse is every team I play against is full of them. Otherwise would be a fun game.

Good concept & gameplay but buggy

I do love this game, it combines a very basic element similar to FUT along with Score Hero’s gameplay.

Don’t expect to be getting any decent players without chipping some £ in though, unless you’re very very lucky. You get a gold to start then nothing but bronze and silver unless you buy the pass or spend on gems. You can level up players but it does take a long time.

The game is buggy though, referee decisions are very hit and miss. I can get crunches left, right and Centre by the opposition and the ref waves play on. I’ll then do a slide tackle, clearly win the ball and they get a free kick. It’s not great AI.

It’s difficult to move the view around too without accidentally telling a player to run in a direction. Then you can’t undo the way they’re running, you can, it’s just nigh on impossible because the time for your go then runs out. It can be infuriating and does ruin it a bit for me.

Otherwise it’s great fun and addictive and you can get a reasonable team after playing for a long time without spending. Just put the hours in, watch the adverts for bux and save up your free gems.

Would be 5 star if it wasn’t for the refs and changing view issue.

Frustrating

Starts off as a very enjoyable game, however, it quickly becomes apparent that it is pay to win. My team full of silver and bronze players against the likes of Haaland and Messi and De Bruyne on the same team is silly. Rewards are a grind and contracts are tedious.

Player responsiveness is also a joke. If the ball doesn’t land directly at your feet, your player will just carry on running in the opposite direction. If going in for a tackle and the opposition gets the ball a millisecond faster, your player will just pull away a large, almost comical, distance giving them opportunity to take the ball further away whilst you fumble around trying to turn.

A series of unfortunate problems plague this game meaning unless you’re willing to spend top dollar, you won’t be enjoying it.

So much wasted potential.

Just needs to improve on graphics and have more features like training and more leagues and add the the gameplay style needs to change as it could have controllers to run and stop and pass and shot. But overall it needs to improve on a lot of things.

Great game, but could be better!

The game is very enjoyable, and it is apparent that the developers are always trying to improve it and create a better game.

I feel that a career mode, and a way to play against friends would be a brilliant addition, both matches and penalty shootouts!

Even a training mode would be good too!

Like many others have stated in other reviews, the pods could do with improvement on what you receive, the likelihood of decent rewards, such as new players and more bux for contracts, and a reduced time waiting on the pods! Its a bit awful to wait 4 hours for less than 100 bux (which doesn’t even cover a players contracts), 2 gems, 2 bronze players cards and no player…

But those things aside, it is an enjoyable game!

Almost good

Lots to like about the game, but saving gems only to be told “better luck next time” is a joke. No chance I’d ever spend money on the game when you aren’t even guaranteed a player. In fact so far I’ve had nothing but bronze players, and even then only 2 from maybe 20 boxes opened.

Rewards for the leaderboards are also quite pathetic, the game itself is fun, but there’s zero incentive to keep playing when rewards are terrible, and opening boxes for players is a waste of time.

This game is so fun and enjoyable. It’s a bit of a mix between score hero and score match. It’s really fun collecting all the players and the way you can play in the game is so fun and it makes you feel really in control of your team. Definitely recommend if you like the other games!!

You have something great here however

The player contract renewals are simply too much money to keep doing whilst maintaining your players.

Trying to force you to pay real money to just have not bronze rated cards. Not cool. Especially when you have such a good core concept of a game it could become something like clash royale and have its own leagues and become really big ! But you have to do things right ! With passion and love for the gamer not just forced transactions. Yes you can keep transactions in and yes people will still spend money on your game but don’t make it the only viable way to play for short term money. Your only cutting your chances of not making a great game that can become a franchise and make millions and millions every year.

I would love to help develop this game in the right direction as it has so much potential if done right in the coming years.

Do yourself a justice and make this game the best game you can make it and all your rewards will come !

Great game and people saying it’s pay to win just have 0 patience, I’ve not spent a penny and have a good team! There could be a couple of tweaks such as price of contracts and how you aren’t guaranteed a player in a package but that’s critical, usually get bored of games quickly but love this!

What is this? Don’t bother, nice idea but ruined with greed.

Rediculous pay to win system, like I’ve had 10 player tubes…..1 player the rest empty!, the result? My players are terrible, second to every ball, goal keeper can’t stop any shots at all, the prices for your players games are stupid to, 380 coins for 10 games! it’s literally set up for you to pay money in every week if you want to get anywhere, add ons are add ons but basing your ability to play the game on purchases is just plain stupid….uninstalled.

Run out of money even with the season pass

The game is great, it’s really enjoyable. But the main issue is that despite buying that season pass which cost £10…I have still run out of bucks.

The cost to buy a player a contract is extremely over inflated and eventually leads to you running out of money and the game becoming frustrating.

Needs some improvements

Good game game but serious goalkeeper mechanics improvements are needed for example there is an easy goalkeeper exploit where all your opponent has to do is pass it to there keeper run to the edge of their box punt it to force the game mechanics into sending my keeper out of his box to header it away and it always lands on one of their wingers who can just boot it from the halfway line into my net because my keeper is about 35 yards off his line

Easily one of the best mobile games I have ever played it’s a combination of score match and score hero and it’s amazing! The only 2 problems I have is the 20 second timer if they got rid of that then it would be perfect and the pack luck is horrible I haven’t got a player in my last 5 possible player packs but apart from that it’s a must download game.

It’s fun for a brief period but rapidly declines. The player pods are truly annoying for a start. Out of 10 pods I’ve had 3 players, all of which were bronze. So after a few games your team is out of its depth. The rest literally had nothing in. What’s the point of that? It’s hardly a reward is it, nothing? Also, why is there only 2 formations? It renders some players completely useless even though you wanna use them. I also think 90 second games are a bit stupid.

Why isn’t there a transfer market either? The player pulls from the pods are terrible. So if you don’t wanna spend £50 on players you may as well not bother. You’ve got 70s in your team while other people have got 80+. You should either have a better system for getting players, or segregate it.

Good but needs tweaking

The logic of the game is an issue sometimes like how are defenders as quick or quicker than strikers when side by side running.

Also it’s quite hard to unlock and get a lot of players or upgrade players so it’s a long game to play unless obviously you pay.

It is like most other games though it’s a pay to win game.

A pay to win game

Fun to begin with, becomes apparent that in order to do good and win you have to pay for the vip access. If you don’t you end up with a team with bronze 70 rated players vs teams with 80-90 rated players. Pack luck isn’t good, and lack of formation variety ruins the fun, I ended up getting three new forwards but couldn’t play any because the formation only allows one forward. The rewards for those who haven’t brought vip needs improving, you end up playing almost 200 games and finish with a silver player as your reward, pointless. You can’t get enough coins or diamonds to give your players contracts if you don’t pay as well. Match fixing needs improving, rewards need improving, formation variety needed, more ways to renew contracts, a fun game to begin but quickly becomes ruined through these faults and not enjoyable, feels like yet another pay to win game developed by this company

Good game

A few things need to be improved for example corners are way too OP at the minute, don’t know how to change them but they do need changing. Another thing is when the goalkeeper has it in his hands, the match timer goes down, but the possession timer does not, which is odd. Apart these few changes the game is great and I play way too much of it.

This is truly BRILLIANT

I love DLS and I never expected that a new game would be so hype. BUT IT IS!!! I love the new style of the game, and ALMOST everything is perfect, there is just a few things that could be a tiny bit better.

First of all the buying players system. I rarely ever get players in pods and it shouldn’t be chances it should be 100%. If there is one thing DLS had better, it’s the way you transfer players. I think it would be better for it not to be luck, just to be definite.

Another thing is that what happened to career mode? Im not complaining or anything, but career mode was fun and when i didn’t want to play online or didn’t have the best internet connection, I thought of career mode.

I love the way you play UDS with the lines and everything. It will take a bit if getting used to but it can work. That’s all from me, Thanks!

Why ohh why

This is just a few simple tweaks away from being a great football game. Why have only two choices of completely defensive line ups when your encouraged to play attacking football with the 20 second shot clock????

The time limit rarely provides enough time for the striker to get free if you receive the ball in your own half. Allow a formation with 2 forwards and yes the game will be so much better.

Amazing it is a swipe to shoot type of gameplay just to say I’ve been playing all of the football first touch games that there is all the way from the original score hero to dream league soccer those are some of my all time favourite games, however one game I didn’t quite enjoy it was score match. UDS seems like a revamped version of score match and the Fifpro licensing makes it a whole level better. This game is brilliant and undoubtedly a worthy 5 STAR FOOTBALL GAME

Good game just need improvements

The whole idea of the game is much much better than score match. However the gameplay still needs way more improvement. One major area is the defending. They do not know how to defend and whenever the attacker changes direction it takes them a second for the defender to also change directions.

Not bad

From what I’ve seen in the first few days of release, this game looks promising. There’s currently no pay to win method, the tutorial is simple, getting into a game is made quick and easy, and as you start the game the playing fields are very even for both teams. Definitely recommend to try out at least.
