This app saved us!

As first time parents, especially during lockdown, we truly had no idea what we were doing, were sleep deprived and really struggling. Louenna’s routines saved us and the advice on the app has just been fantastic. We’re about to start navigating potty training! As a first time mum, this app & support have been genuinely priceless since before my baby girl was born. From hospital bag to newborn nights, and now starting my weaning journey, having literally everything you need to know, in one place and searchable has been a life saver. I LOVE the linked buying guides and lists- making life soo easy! Friends are always asking where I got a toy or idea from and it’s always this app.

When nighttime sleeping became difficult, I had a consultation with Janie who was absolutely incredible, so calm, understanding & went above & beyond to help me. Within a night or two I went from 60-90min wakings every night, to one night feed (soon to be dropped) and a very happy baby & muma! I never thought this could be achieved with a breastfed baby… I was soo wrong!

Life-changing app for new parents

I discovered nanny Lou whilst pregnant with my second child. I loved her advice and tips on Instagram, they always seemed to work and then when she developed her app I knew I had to get. I followed her routines since day one of my 2nd baby, he is now newly two, slept through at 7 weeks and is the best sleeper and I know it’s down to the gentle routine I put in place since day 1. No tears, just a happy content baby. Her advice is just simple, spot on and so good!! It’s a must and I tell every mum to be to get this app!! I use for so much advice, potty training, starting school, poorly kids, it’s a one-stop shop and a helping hand whenever I need it. Thank you

I have waited until our baby is 6 months to review this app to make sure my review was 100% accurate. The app has been just incredible. Louenna is a wonderful person, her work in Ukraine really showed how much she cares for babies and children. I was raised by a nanny so my mum doesn’t know much about babies. But as a teacher I wanted to do the best for my baby. I know children thrive on routine and consistency so instantly connected with Louenna’s ethos. Following this app and the routines even when in huge doubt has been the best decision we’ve made as parents. We have an incredibly happy baby who has slept through the night from one week old and slept 7pm-6.30am without waking from 5 months. Everyone comments how happy she is and that’s because the routines allow you to ensure that all their needs are met all of the time. This can be tough eg keeping them awake if their tired but stick at it and trust the system! Rather than googling for hours mindlessly you can search important things quickly and your answer will 99% be there. We have confidently taken our baby on holiday twice and we leave her with grandparents regularly. The freedom Louenna has given us is invaluable. If in any doubt - buy this app! It’ll be the best money you spend for your sanity and your. babies happiness.

Baby is 7 months now and this app has been such a great tool for any questions and ideas. This is my 3rd baby but I still found so much good and helpful content on here. Especially during those first few months where you question everything. I would say this app helped me get my little Ernie into a great routine that he thrives off. I love this app. I was given it as a gift from friends as a baby shower gift and it’s been so useful. Everything is clearly laid out and easy to find. There are links in chapters that are really helpful. An app not to be without

The hospital shouldn’t let you leave without this app, in the same way it won’t let you leave without a car seat when you’re going home with a newborn. A thoughtful, helpful and reassuring guide to the day to day, and nearly any scenario you can think of. I’m honestly not sure our family would have survived without it. The routines are amazing, giving us a loose structure which has helped make everything more manageable and our newborn is thriving. I know this is going to be useful as our baby and family grows.

Eczema and terrible sleeping finally sorted thanks to this app

Receiving 121 support from Janie, Louenna’s incredible sleep and skin support specialist, has changed our lives. Our 20 month old had suffered chronic eczema since a few months of age. One piece of advice from Janie opened our eyes to a glaring medical oversight that since been tweaked was a game changer. Within a week our toddler’s skin was 99% eczema-free. We’ve since been able to - with Janie’s support - get our little one to sleep the night. Give or take a couple of whimpers through the night she’s no longer waking for night feeds and is able to self-soothe, which means - finally after 19 months of being up three times every night - she is sleeping and is a happier child and I’m no longer a sleep-deprived working mama! Louenna and Janie, we all owe you so much. Thank you for everything x

This is my go to for our two babies. They both genuinely thrive on the routines and were sleeping through the night by 10 weeks old. One was breastfeed the other wasn’t! Not all naps go to plan but that’s babies and I love that I have a clear idea of what I’m always aiming for. I have also gifted this app to others.

Do not get this app

Absolutely terrifying. Just read the article in The Sun, very worrying that these outdated practices will once again be finding their ways until peoples homes. Please, please speak to a lactation consultant, qualified health professional or breastfeeding counsellor if you are having issues with breastfeeding or need information on looking after a new baby. And in response to your reply to this- Of course fed is best, what a stupid idea that starving your baby is a good idea and a sensible tag line, I prefer ‘informed by a strong evidence base and making choices based on that information is best’. And the evidence base is certainly not what you have looked at. P.S. I have looked after 100’s of family’s and I can safely say that I would never advise or do what you are doing. Just stop now.

Avoid

Quite surprised how much this contradicts WHO, NHS & safe sleep guidelines. Advising families to only sterilise formula bottles up to 6 months seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. I’m surprised a royal standard nanny doesn’t stay more up to date.

Concerned about non-evidence-based breastfeeding advice

The breastfeeding advice is problematic. It’s evident she hasn’t had any breastfeeding training. If you need help with breastfeeding, please approach qualified supporters - breastfeeding counsellors (usually trained volunteers not trying to take money from you) or lactation consultants (gold standard in breastfeeding support. She could do with a lactation expert on her “expert panel”…

This app gives false information which is against NHS and WHO guidelines that could potentially lead to dangerous situations for new mums and babies! Shamefully advertising in the Sun Newspaper again against NHS breastfeeding guidelines- surely more about money making thank safely and health of mum and baby!

Issues with summary section and logging feeds, sleep and nappies

Paid for the year and the information has been useful however I can’t use the log to add formula bottle feeds when I go to the summary they vanish. The logs don’t work well at all to add the nappies, feeds and sleep and the summary when things have added is off. I was hoping to use this feature to help me schedule my day so I am disappointed this function isn’t usable. I have updated the app this has not helped.

It would also be helpful to have some further support on reflux. We have struggled with schedules due to this because bottles have to sit and thicken and my baby has to be held upright for a certain amount of time after feeds. It would be so nice to see some more advice around helping with reflux, especially for tummy time and play and trying to set routines as we take a lot longer with feeds so have less wake time to work with between naps. Likewise when it comes to weaning if you’ve been using thickened milk and weaning earlier due to reflux.

Overall it’s a brilliant app I do find it useful I just think it could be better for the price per month/ yr

No evidence-based based

Really disappointed to find a complete lack of evidence-based information on the app it’s just one woman’s opinion and anecdotal claims based on her experience as a nanny (not even a healthcare professional but she’s advising on infant health). Some of the advice here is completely outdated and potentially dangerous and directly contradicts reputable non-profit organisations such as the WHO, UNICEF, NHS.

Every new parents must have app!

This app has been a godsend! As new parents with no previous baby experience (partner had never even held a baby before ours!) we felt seriously out of our depths in the run up to our baby’s birth. Thank god we were recommended this app! The wealth of knowledge within it has made us feel so much more confident. From pregnancy to birth and beyond it’s been so so helpful! The printable newborn list of must haves was spot on, the routines help keep our days on track and any questions I’ve had have all been answered by Louenna’s extensive knowledge all within this convenient app. Just type a key word in the search box and anything you need to know is right at your fingertips. The video library and printable packs are a real game changer that other baby apps just don’t have.

It’s the only baby app you’ll ever need and I’ve recommended it to all my friends!!

First time Dad must.

As a first time dad this app has been so reassuring, with easy to follow routines and guides to pretty much everything (even things I didn’t know existed). I am feeling a lot better than I did at first (still nervous though) but I know I am significantly better prepared now as a result of studying this app.

Anxious parents & upset baby

Whilst this app has a lot of information in it which I’m sure is very helpful, I mainly got it for help with routines. With a 6 week old I was worrying that our newborn didn’t have a schedule and that we were setting her up for bad habits. (Turns out that’s totally normal up to 3 months) Tried following the advised routine which says to only feed every 3 hours either bottle or breastfed, and to distract with toys or a dummy in between. I now know that breastfed babies should be fed on demand and mums should not be shamed into thinking they have a baby that ‘snacks’, or keep their baby waiting to feed. Not knowing any better I was trying to follow the schedules which only made us upset, overly anxious and feel like a total failure. After more reading and advice elsewhere I now know that feeding on demand is what you should be doing, babies don’t always feed out of hunger, sometimes it’s for thirst, comfort, or a growth spurt. So based on this I’d say the advice is quite unhelpful and made us stressed with an upset baby. Would have been better to stress that routines aren’t ridged and newborn babies aren’t pre-programmed robots!

Please avoid dangerous advise for mothers

Outrageous app... Dangerous advised given to mothers like weaning from 4 months (apparently she believes 4 months sleep regression is due to hunger?!) use of cot bumpers and much much more.... She’s backing her self up with research which was disproven by NHS and WHO. I hope this dangerous app will be gone and not available soon enough. Bad and unacceptable. I’m not sure how that lady sleeping with herself putting so many babies of first times Mums who just don’t know any better in danger. Shame one this app. Avoid. Please Mums do good research and avoid this pile of misinformation.

First time mum in lockdown

I cannot recommend this app enough. As a first time mum, in lockdown, it has been my go to. I have used the sleep routines which has meant my little one started sleeping through the night from about 2 months!!

Before this app I used to google everything, which always resulted in the worst case scenario and a million different opinions. I now go straight to the app for any issues, from eczema to weaning to weather protection cream for their little cheeks. Really is like having a nanny in your pocket!!

Fantastic for New Parents

What a fabulous App for new parents! We had read lots of books and articles on the internet but having so much practical advice and guides for every aspect of child care has been invaluable. My most opened app ever!

This app has been a godsend especially as a first time mum but also I know when I have another I’ll be subscribing again for the year!

The support is invaluable and there are so many handy sections from routines, (my 2 month old has slept from 7pm - 11 and 12 - 7am by following the routines) to food ideas, winding, bathing, how to hold your baby the list is endless. AMAZING!!!!

I literally cannot recommend this app enough. I have messaged Louenna a few times for advice also and she will always get back to you with her support and advice. She is hands down the reason our baby is so happy. I have recommended her to all of my new mummy friends and they have followed her routines and also have a baby who sleeps through. My daughter has slept through the night from being 6 weeks old thanks to Louenna. This app is honestly worth every penny. Thank you so much for everything Louenna!

Creates more anxiety

This app is great if you have a schoolbook baby that has no problem sleeping for hours or breastfeeding when you want him to. The routines sound good in theory but very little guidance is offered as to what to do when your baby is not sleeping for three hours straight or feed for an hour every time. Reading about the ‘model baby routines’ just created more anxiety and made us feel like failures as first time parents.

Some sections are super short as if copied first lines from a Wikipedia page and offers no real insight. Won’t repurchase.

I have a 5 month old and this app has been a godsend! So much useful information and any question I have I can always find the answer on here, being a first time mum in lockdown has been so hard and this little gem has given me so much confidence in what I am doing, Great for Dads too. Parenting game changer!!!

I don’t often take the time to write a review but I just had to for this app. It is the best money I have ever spent!! The knowledge and accessibility in this app makes it so much better than any book I have had before. Seriously a must for any parent and childcare. I am expecting my 3rd baby and just wish this app had been out before my first!! Would have saved my sanity many times I over I think.

The ultimate dream would be to have Louenna Hood as your baby's / child’s nanny. The next best thing is her amazing app which is full of amazing tips to guide you through the different stages of parenthood. I downloaded it as soon as I heard it had launched and have been referring to on a daily basis. An absolute life saver. Thank you so much Louenna for sharing all your wonderful knowledge. A real life Mary Poppins!!

Godsend to parents!

I can’t rate this app highly enough. I wish it had been around when my baby was born as it’s so full of useful information and guidance. This app really is an absolute must for all parents with young children. Nanny Louenna shares her tried and tested methods which are simple, practical and really do work. Who would have thought a bath of oats was so good at soothing chickenpox!!

Being a first time mum in lockdown it was daunting and a lot of the time there was too much conflicting information out there. Nanny Louennas Instagram page was soooo helpful.

Having followed Nanny Louenna on Instagram for years as soon as I found out this app was released I raced to download it. Louenna shares her invaluable information ideas, thoughts which create such an amazing recourse to refer to when raising a baby or right into childhood. Topics such as sleeping, feeding, health, recipes, exercises, activities and so much more are all covered with every subcategory you could think of when asking a question related to little ones.

A really incredible pocketbook of information, I wish I would of had this when I was a first time Mum - but it is coming in just as handy with my new second child. Thank you Nanny Louenna for such a brilliant concept.
