Invalid billing model
The application is great and works a treat, however I think the subscription configuration is over billing ; charging £9.99 6 times in a month and yet offering £4.99 for a year - it doesn’t make commercial sense and it feels like I have been significantly over charged - how do I request a refund please ?

Signed up for this was told that it was free for first six months and then a small amount a year thereafter. Within a week I was being charged £9.99 every week!

Somewhat helpful
The app asks if it gave the correct answer which is stupid as you wouldn’t be using the app if you already knew what the plant was. Also can’t delete old photos or incorrect ones

Careful of their subscription model
I see a lot of the other reviews on here are very similar, which I’ll let people come to their own conclusions on, but the meat of the matter for me is their subscription model. Bizarrely it costs £4.99 for an annual subscription and yet costs £9.99 for a weekly one. Fairly certain this wasn’t what it said when I signed up but I have no evidence for that, I may have misread. The actual app works very well, hence the three star review but unless the subscription model changes I can’t recommend any higher than that

Big Con on subscription fees- dishonest
I’ve tried to purchase the app Plant ID on the basis that it told me that a years subscription was £1.49, which I was ok with after a free 7 day trial. However when I downloaded it it says it’s £9.99 a WEEK although this does reduce to £4.99 a year. Unfortunately I’ve had to cancel as certainly not anywhere near £1.49 year! Surely this isn’t acceptable practice? It’s certainly not good customer service! Why such big discrepancies please?

Free trial defaults to a very expensive subscription than advertised
How does this work? Free to download, free 7-day trial then £1.49/year subscription so it was advertised. Except having checked my subscription it very strangely said £9.99 1 week renews 20June 2021. If I could put a screen shot on here I would.
Only used the app once, correctly identified a plant but didn’t say how to look after it which I was expecting. Won’t be keeping this app.

Do not download this app! While it is not bad for identifying plants and I was actually considering purchasing it what put me off was the fact that they automatically sign you up to a WEEKLY subscription of £9.99 when a yearly subscription is only £4.99!!! Absolute ripoff and daylight robbery. Thank God I noticed and requested a refund.

Identifies wrongly. Even when the plant is identified correctly, the description could be outrageous, e.g. viola described as a musical instrument and a page about viola music! Ridiculously expensive too.

Such a scam trick
They trick you into paying 9.99 a week even though it initially states 1.49 annually. The way the pricing is set up is 100% to catch anyone that isn’t paying 100% full attention, with no way of refunding. Stay clear.

I didn’t use this app much, but after I used it one time I got a £9.99 charge to my card for it.
I think it’s because the option to carry on using the free version is a small button right underneath the upgrade button.
Shady tactics like that mean I won’t be using it again unfortunately.

Took money
It made me pay for the full version as payments are done via Face ID. I tried to cancel and click off of it but obviously had to be looking at the screen so it went through and I couldn’t cancel it and there’s no way to get a refund.
