Frustrating
I had to create my project 3 times?! After adding my photos in the desired order, the app decided to rearrange them and there was no easy way of reordering them. When I came to place my order, I had to create an account on someone else’s phone as I couldn’t select the ‘Register’ button. After all this time and effort, I hope the end product is worth it.

I bought a 50ml bottle of perfume in error as wanted the 100ml as it was on offer , bought the bigger bottle and returned the 50mls to store , but despite visiting the store and ringing and emailing several times in the last month still not been refunded . It has improvements since I last tried to use it to set up the photos but still a long way to go! I’ll start from the end, payment no Apple Pay, no automatic fill in from the cards I have saved, postcode if it isn’t capitals it won’t work, I am not able to set up an account, can’t change the colour on the cover, editing pics is very very fiddly, finding pics is not user friendly. No way to understand payment structure until you get to the payment. Why do I pay for a delivery to the store?

Photo Jigsaw
I purchased a 500 piece jigsaw of my beloved Greyhound and I was really impressed with the quality of both the print and the jigsaw. It came nicely packed in a sturdy box. I was so impressed with the quality that I’ve just ordered two more jigsaws of my boy. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending the personalised photo jigsaws.

Unable to use apply pay, and a very complicated way of registering. When I order my photo click at same day that I have just realised that shop closed at noon, lucky due to no bank card with me, I have to store to check in store payment method and found out shop closed!

Dreadful experience
I’ve had a very difficult time trying to order a photo calendar. It has taken me nearly all day to process the order. It was supposed to be £10 Tuesday for this calendar which I got an email about this morning but at the end of the process they charged me £14.99! I wish I had never bothered and will never order again through Boot photos

Expensive/rubbish
I downloaded this app due to having been advised to do so on the boots website. The small Crewe book i chose started from £14.99. I decided to add on extras such as a hard cover , this cost more but I was fine with that. The price was displayed prior to creating the book at roughly £20. Then I selected the photos I wanted, assuming these were included in the price. It advised to select at least 90 for a better looking book, but I thought I’d go with 150. Upon finishing selecting them all (this took a considerable amount of time) I was advised that for the small square book (one of the cheapest they have) it’d cost me £115 to print. To print 90 pages as advised it was £70. Silly prices if you ask me - wouldn’t even bother, I can print that amount with great quality for less than £20 elsewhere. Won’t ever be using so I can’t comment on the final product.

I almost gave up several times - your app is so user unfriendly whether designing a phone case or trying to register and pay - awful. Functionality failed
Left hand page functionality failed to work on app meaning I couldn’t add more than two images to a page. Instead, I had to use a work around to create a booklet worth giving as a Christmas present.

Breached GDPR and can’t deliver on time
Orders don’t arrive in the estimated time, the support phone number doesn’t always work. Last time I spoke to them they breached GDPR and gave me somebody else’s details. The people on the Cewe website chat are useless and take ages to respond and can’t tell you when something might arrive.
If you want photos done, just go to the shop, at least then you can get it done and you’ll know when it’s ready.
Deleting the app after I’ve received my order, will also be deleting my account information and using a shop next time.

I’m fine with Apps / tech but this is counter-intuitive, user unfriendly junk. Working out how to save / ready for print wasn’t so bad but the in-store machines are hopeless - vague instructions, tried to download my entire library, printed nothing (even the receipt came out blank!). In store staff couldn’t care less. Just refunded my money and said cheerio. Snapfish better and cheaper. Avoid!

Fundamental flaw
Just waisted almost 1 hour in a Boots store trying to figure out where my prints were. Turns out it’s possible to use this app, upload photos and pay without creating an account. Given that receipts and collection codes are all based upon being emailed to you then I would consider this a major flaw in this app. End result was some pretty terrible customer service in store from Boots and no photos.. what a waste of time..

Incredibly slow service
Took forever to log in because you assume it wants your Boots account details but it’s a whole new account you have to set up.
Have to manually link it to your advantage card which seems inefficient.
Didn’t give me any options on the speed of delivery (apparently they’re buried in the T&Cs) I assumed it would be a 24hr service which was fine, much easier than making my kids wait at the self service machine in store. But actually it takes 4-7 WORKING days to get the prints!! How can the production time be this slow when I can instant print in store?? They have the technology to do this much faster but are choosing to use an inefficient process instead. Tried to get my money back before they started making them but they refused because they’re already in production. Would love to know why it takes 4-7 working days to make 40 small photos that I would then have to collect from store myself. Also, I still had to pay £1.50 to collect from store, why is it not free like most high street retail click and collect services.
The whole process is inefficient and needs to be rethought. Disappointed.

I deleted by accident on the left page of the photobook the layout of one or more photos. The app didn’t allow me more to download a photo or photos on this side of the page. Now I have a empty page without photos. Very frustrating.

The app was easier to use than the photo website. This time I could select the photos to print, increase copies and adjust the photo area without losing any prints already selected. The most annoying, exasperating app I have ever used.. not user friendly . It has taken me one full day to complete my photo book. Annoyingly when I logged in to try on my laptop the accounts aren’t synced with the app so no trace of my work would have had to have started again.
Ps this is my seventh so it’s not I don’t know what I’m doing - just avoid the app!!

Bit tricky
I found the ordering system a bit tricky. For example I couldn’t delete a pic I didn’t want to print after I uploaded it, pressed an incorrect button & it added the same pic twice which I then couldn’t delete.
I think as I use the system a bit more I’ll understand it better, but I defo got lost trying to use the in store option.

Utter rubbish
I’ve only given one star as I’m unable to give a zero rating. I’ve been trying to log in as an existing customer for about two hours! It just will not accept my password. Ive tried changing my password despite logging in ok to the boots app. It said it had sent a reset to my email…it hadn’t. I’ve finally set up a new account in my husbands name as the only solution to the problem as having spent so long sorting the pictures out and uploading them I was determined not to be beaten. Despite being a regular Boots customer I won’t be using this photo service again and will go back to using Photobox. What a complete waste of an evening.

Did my first order of 200 as it was on offer. Super happy with result. Want to order more but app has the option to access google photos. Doesn’t work. I want another 600 done but can’t without accessing with google. Please fix the google photos option !!!!!

The app is challenging to use on the phone. The payment system doesn’t include Apple Pay or Google pay. You can’t even scan your card which most e-commerce stores offer.

What a waste of my time!!!!
I have previously ordered photo books through the Boots website and have been very pleased. This time, when I logged in to do a new book of our summer holiday it prompted me to use the app, which I did.
I painstakingly added my photo’s, tweaked and rearranged until I was happy with the result and it was good, easy to use.
Then I tried to order the book and the app crashed. Again and again I have tried over several days and each time an error message 😡 That’s ok I thought, I will just log in to my account through the website and order that way but of course, my project is not there 😡😡
If I’m going to have to do the whole thing again I think I will try somewhere else 😡😡😡

First time usually this app and my advice, is don’t bother !!!
Tried to order my photos and the system keeps crashing and freezing on the payment section . My order is still in the basket awaiting payment, despite them have taken payment 3 times from my bank !!!
I have no photos and been charged 3 times for the Privilege.
Emailed customer services online - no answer!!
Chatting with the online customer services, they are sorry but still no photos and I have to wait 3-5 days for the money to go back into my account!!

“Server error” - will not even start
Downloaded this app to see if I could try some art boxes which I’ve previously done with another provider. Alas the app won’t even start properly it halts with an error message saying server error.
Ok so your server is down or something but having downloaded 170+ megabytes to my phone why can’t the app even run and let me see the look, feel, and functionality WITHOUT the need for server? It’s the same problem as too many apps and tech it can’t work without falling over, despite the user having the phone, the airtime, their broadband provision! All at the mercy or poor apps!
Update - finally got the app running and sorry but the boots canvas art printing is jus basic and simple. I want panoramic 16:9 or even wider shots done not rectangles only maximum 90cm.
Sorry Boots you’re just not up to it!

For a start, I couldn’t even get to Boots to ask them to help. Just kept re-directing me to photo shop! Would not accept my log in details. No problem I thought. Downloaded photos, page was not big enough for me to check out on my phone ahh. Will have to try somewhere else. Shame i have over £50 of points on my Boots card

Need for App Clarification
No provision for a collage of photos to be created under CREATIVE PRINTS so had to opt for just four prints on a Print size. Prompt for size of print needs to be after print created as not clear to access this before starting to add photos. Also unclear which heading under completed layout to use to get to log in and payment after indicating number of prints.
Appreciated patient guidance of Customer advisor in order to complete my order after a frustrating time owing to lack of clarity in instructions on Boots App.

Dark Photo
My mum recently passed away and I decided to have a photo frame of a beautiful picture of her and me from a couple of years ago. The photo on my phone is lovely and bright. I couldn’t wait to pick up the photo. I’ve just picked it up from store and it is so dark you can hardly see us. I am gutted. The only reason I went to boots was because I thought they were a reputable company. I can’t understand why anyone would print such a bright picture so dark and think that was acceptable. A complete waste of money and I will never use boots again and I advise everyone to give them a wide berth.

I found the boots photo app mostly to be very good and easy to navigate.
However, I found that once I had gotten past and completed left sided pages (from the perspective of looking onto page) the app would not let me go back to edit/ change or add photos to these left pages. Hence my project which I’ve ordered had some blank pages and not quite as wanted.

Missing several usual things, such as commands to jump to the next line. No option to scan and save advantage card to save tapping in a lengthy number at checkout. It should also advertise lead times for products at the start of the process, as these can be lengthy.

Easy enough to order photos but like previous comments would not recognise my password so had to reset. Did not recognise my advantage card number either.
Decided to click on collect from store, surprised that the two nearest branches to me were not listed so will have to drive a bit further.
Hoping the prints and canvas look ok when I do collect them.
I’ve tried 5 times to post this review, it won’t let me until I put a nickname, Everyone I put comes back already taken and there’s no option to by pass this. What started out as fairly easy is now getting irritating!

Boots pictures
So easy to use absolutely brilliant especially having them sent to my home highly recommend. Will definitely do more photos.

Print Picture Size
Great service, great quality prints, tho think the App should make it more obvious to user the difference between ‘original’ and ‘classic’ shaped prints, as users will inadvertently order thinking they are getting 6x4 sized prints and that is not actually what they have ordered.

No good if you have Boots app on phone
I sorted out 600 photos to print then asks you to register/sign in. I am logged in on the Boots app on my phone and will not let me sign in to the Boots photo app on my iPad using my password and wants me to reset it which I am not going to do. (It works find on Boots app) I even tried to set up as a new customer due to the changes at Boots photo recently but it is saying my email is valid. Hopefully it is just a log in bug that can fixed but if not I will delete and look for an alternative app and I use my normal Boots app often.

Very poor
Tried to order prints from iPad. Installed Boots Photo app but I already have Boots app, which I’m constantly logged into, so didn’t know and couldn’t find password - nightmare trying to reset password on all devices etc etc.
App hung whilst faffing about with photos, so started again, ended up with 2 full sets of photos, even though it didn’t tell me it had uploaded the first set completely.
Said delivery charge was £1.99 then charged me £2.99 ... delivery time is very long and even longer to store!?
Minor point but delivery address doesn’t ask for house number/name, have to guess and either put it in Company field or add to Street Name.
Won’t be using the app again, will just go into store and get photos into my hand there and then .
