Week stay 3 bedroom

Caravan fairly modern, seems extra wide in living room/kitchen-diner area which is useful. Site very clean and tidy. Clubhouse decent and has enough in here to entertain everyone. Breakfast not good

I hate using apps to order food. I don't want to go out to eat and have to faff around with ordering my own phone by joining apps. This places more responsibility onto the customer cutting jobs. Bring back real people!

Ordered via app. Took over 10 mins for drinks to arrive. After 35 minutes waiting for food, I asked the barman where it was. He told me they only had 2 chefs and that it wasn’t his problem.
I spoke to supervisor who agreed his attitude was wrong? Food arrived soon after and was very good.
Disgusting attitude of one member of staff spoilt everything!

Don’t use the app - it does not give you the offers

If I could give the app zero, I would.
Ordered food via the app - it looked for deals and did not find any. So I added ordered the food, thinking that there wasn’t any offers. On going to order a drink, I saw that the menu had an offer of £5 off meal and free drink. I asked if I could cancel my order and get the offer, bar manager said that there was nothing that they could do as I should have ordered drinks with the order to get the deal, there was no where on the food section of the app that said this. Feel quite cheated, will not be using this app again.

Caravan is dirty, stale, run down and outside it stinks of human waste. Spoke to a lovely rude lady on reception that done nothing about it. Wouldn’t go here again and we only been here 2 hours (only 6 days left 😢)

Meal offers a bit tricky

There are some really good value meal options, however the app makes it really tricky to order so that you get the discount. For example in the 2 person meal deal you can’t mix starters and deserts although there’s nothing to tell you that so it meant a trip to the bar to ask someone. That kind of defeats the benefit of using the app to order.

The park is really good lots of activities for kids. The entertainment is excellent and again fun for kids. Only downside is the rudeness of some of the patrons and the shows are really crowded. Still a good place to relax if you don’t mind the rudeness.

Lovely staff

Our First stay at Manor Park, and really enjoying it.
Chelsea Frances, the entertainer on Saturday night was absolutely fantastic, good singer, lively, bubbly, a real wide repertoire, could ding anything and every song was sung beautifully , really got the crowd going.
The Blues Brothers tribute act were fantastic too.
Superb performance.

So slow it came out cold

We ordered food at the main restaurant when it was quiet, we ordered at 11:20, there was 6 of us and they bought out the food 2 at a time 20 minutes after each other, even then everyone who got there food had it cold and miserable, the staff had no care in the world that a whole table were getting there cold food two at a time. The bacon was rock solid and impossible to cut and was cold same with everything else, wouldn’t recommend to an enemy

The registration process just to place an order is not only cumbersome and timely, it is also quite intrusive from a questions point of view. Absolutely not necessary in this time of data protection….. You will very soon not be able to even ask for such data even on a voluntary submittal basis.

Moving to online app only

Great and convenient for youngsters that want to do it. This should be a choice! People generally save and bring cash. How on earth are OAP’s going to do this. Service was slow no fault of the staff, it was the process of ordering!! This is a HOLIDAY PARK we expect a friendly atmosphere with the opportunity to speak with your hard working staff. We also want a break from technology on our visits and often opt to leave our phones switched off in the van! Ps we are still waiting for our drinks!!! This will definitely influence us to leave the camp for food and drinks!

Parkdean Resort, Highfield Grange, Holiday Park

I am on holiday with a severely disabled adult male that lives in a Mencap home, for several months he had been looking forward to his second holiday in the past 5 years
He is very limited to what he can do because of his mental & physical disability he is also wheelchair bound, we are staying in one of two specially adapted caravans, As one of his carers we had paid for a weeks internet connection after several frustrating phone calls regrettably the Company that provides the service is unable to get him a internet connection, although last year we stayed in the Specially adapted caravan next door to the one we are in now, we didn’t have this problem, it is very sad because his holiday has become a failure, please advise future holiday makers that internet connection is not available.

Shocking

The park as we have found with Parkdean is they have only enough seats in the bar for half the people on site, the speed in the bars is slow at beast and the whole idea of booking activities such as just using the swimming pool a whole 4 weeks prior to arriving just jams up the whole thing as many of the people who book don’t turn up, which means when you go to reception to book, you get told sorry it’s full on the computer but if you call in during the day there may be a space !! Absolutely shocking

Shocking service

Sorry but been at many park dean resorts and always enjoyed it. Arrived here at caravan with no bed linen or duvet for myself and fiancée it took 3 days to arrive. Caravan had been cleaned to a very poor standard and main room stunk and made our clothes smell. Straight away off to a bad start, in entertainment venue and tills went down across site…. Could not buy food or drinks for our family and had to order take away. Staff and some door staff where very rude. Arrived at shop at 7:45 with closing time of 8pm and had a doorman not letting anyone in and was told it would be 8pm by the time the 1 person in the shop was served. Love Parkdean resorts but this was shocking, seriously understaffed and will be expecting nothing short of full refund. Service ruined what should have been our first family holiday in 3 years after COVID!!

Review

We’re at the Holywell bay resort and the staff basically force you to use the app instead of having the chance of ordering at the bar. I stood at the bar as I only had cash on me which I wanted to use and they said you will have to wait until they’re ready to serve you, there was a lady who was around 40 working and she looked at me when there was availability to serve me and carried on putting glasses away, which I found shocking service. I then asked if I could be served and she replied ‘when I have put these glasses away’ she was very rude and unprofessional. How she even has a job here is unbelievable. Overall it’s a great place to stay but the customer service in the bar/restaurant has let the place down.

Totally Disappointed!

First of all no security when entering onto site, there was a incident in caravan opposite us, police knocked on our door at 11-11;30 at night, yet no staff had the decency to tell us if things were okay that was 1st night here, there was rubbish under the bag when taking rubbish out, shower floor hadn’t been clean. No ironing board which was supposed to be included, when we went swimming, apart from it small and overcrowded, one of staff gave me a dirty look for complaining, the other was nice, the hygiene was poor toilets smelt like wee, floors were dirty with mud and leaves. The clubhouse is really small, hardly nothing to do for the family, we did enjoy the movie under the stars… I will not be coming back !!

Amazing time

Honestly I could not of asked for a better time anywhere to be honest. I arrived here on the Friday evening, got set up in the caravan and was ready to start my holiday weekend with the family. The next day we went to the beach in the morning, which was a 2 minute walk from the site we were staying at. We swam played football and had just a genuine good time there. We then came back for about midday ish. We cooked some lunch up, and got ready for the evening entertainment down at the club house. Where everyone was so welcoming, and just genuine friendly good vibes for everyone, with some in house arcade entertainment. There was bingo, live music which was absolutely amazing, and people that were not scared to let their hair down and have a good time. The singers were absolutely brilliant, and got everyone involved in everything they were doing. They even started off a party dance vibe where they taught us the steps to a few dances which everyone got involved in. Honestly if anyone needs a place to go for a holiday Romney sands is an amazing place to have fun and just be yourself without restrictions. Thanks so much for a brilliant time, will definitely be coming back here for sure

We have been looking forward to this well earned week off of work, however what a massive mistake coming to Parkdean! Not only did we have issues with the travailing community in our area coursing all to have no sleep and intimidation a plenty but the general service has been terrible! Things not open when they should be, waiting 30mins for a coffee , kids not being able to get an ice cream and that is just a few things!!
I can safely say I wouldn’t ever book again at a Parkdean and advise who ever reads this to really consider there choices before booking.

I have been to many Parkdean sites but I could not believe the number of dirty tables with finished and unfinished food left on them for a long length of time. We visited the street food truck but could not eat our food on the tables as there was a vast amount of stains and leftover food still occupying the tables, it was a health hazard. I have taken multiple pictures of the state of the tables and will be reporting it to the head office on my return. I work for the environmental health department in South Wales and will be contacting the local authority in Poole on my return to work with my concerns about the site and it’s cleanliness! With the peak season approaching fast I feel the cleanliness of the sites eating areas is something that needs to be addressed urgently!

Caravan not as it appears in photos

We booked based on facilities and the furniture demonstrated in online photo’s of the caravan but somewhat disappointed to find on arrival the pictures bear no resemblance to the actual caravan we were allocated. Both in slightly tired decor and missing furniture such as rug, armchair, coffee table and bedroom decor and lighting.
We reported this to reception, and although greeted professionally and courteously were advised that is how it is.
It feels we were mis sold to and paid a premium for better than a very basic caravan, but not wanting to ruin weekend carried on. And there is some get out clause in small print near to pictures, so our bad!
Staff are great and area is beautiful.

It’s rare that I am unsatisfied with these kinds of holiday parks but I must admit that I am appalled at the attitude of some of the staff.
Caravan is advertised as having internet connection which is optimistic to say the least. Intermittent poor connection is the best you can hope for unless you are in the restaurant.
We hit bad traffic on the way here so didn’t arrive untill 9:30. We walked down to the chip shop and were pleased to see people leaving with food but we were told that we missed the deadline by 2 minutes. I tried to reason with the lads and explained that the kids were very hungry and we would settle for just some chips as the guy was still frying food. We were told “nope I’m now off the clock”.
We then drove an hour to find a 24 hour Patrol Station.
We went to the restaurant the following night. Ordered our food and then when we went to order desert we were told that the kitchen was shut. What kind of place serves you mains but refuses to serve you desert.
The place seems nice but the staff need training of the management needs to manage then.

Weekend with the kids

I got here after 8 pm and I like the way I could go straight to my caravan without having to physically check in. Lots of privacy. Lots of activities for the kids and adults. Bingo, live entertainment. The fish and chips from the chippy was my favourite. I would definitely come back.

Disappointed

Arrived yesterday and having used this app on a previous stay which worked well, was very disappointed that is wasn’t working. Tried several times and in the end went to the bar to order and was told there had been issues all day with the app. Still not resolved the next day which is a shame as there is a long queue at the bar.

Crantock beach resort

We have been coming too Crantock beach resort for many years, we always enjoy our stays here the caravans are always clean & tidy.

Review of Parkdean Newquay Bay

Dreadful!
The Staff have not been sufficiently or proficiently trained.
No Wi-Fi , no launderette, the staff did not know how to solve these problems and simply lied to get them out of a sticky situation. The staff alone cannot be blamed the Management, or lack of it, need to step up and control the situation.
We booked this venue because it “promised” Wi-Fi. As we have a business this is extremely important to us. We arrived on Friday 1st of April 2022. The Wi-Fi became available and usable on the 6th April - we lost business!
We tried to use the launderette on the 2nd April - the machine locked, with clothes inside, took our money etc. We informed the staff in reception, telling them that there was items in the machine, including an item that has much sentimental value. The launderette was locked until the 6th of April when we happened to pass it. It was open, working and our items gone.
In addition to this most of the advertised facilities are closed!
For £600 + appalling!
I will be writing a review on Tripadvisor - stay tuned.

Carmarthen Bay

Arrived late but online check in meant I could go straight to my caravan.
Once I found it, it’s a large site - I was really surprised by how nice it was, French doors opening out to a veranda with an unspoilt view of the Atlantic ocean. Caravan was clean and well equipment.
Site clean and organised although didn’t really use many of the amenities.
Fantastic location for me to go out hiking which was the reason I booked it, so one very happy customer.

Customer service

I asked a member of staff to help me to order on the app. Her name was Summer and she was an absolute delight! She was patient and friendly and had me set up on the app quickly. Without her help I would have been lost. Well done Summer! Excellent service, thank you.

This app is so easy to use compared to ones I’ve used in the passed,, not sure if I missed it but it would be good to have a note to the kitchen section to customise your order (my kids are fussy and don’t like Mayo on their burgers)

Good fun

I have stayed before but in a static van. I camped this time. No problem except a tree in the middle of pitch. Luckily my tent was only 1 x 3 metres.
No real issues except pool and some restaurants shut as at 17/9 despite sunny warm weather.
One or two campers were shouting and swearing until after midnight.
Overall I like it here. Staff are great. Cannot speak highly enough of them. Good for families with children. I like it best out of season.

Service in the bar.

How come in Ty mawr Park Dean Resort. You can order drinks and pay at the bar. Yet here in Carmarthen Bay you have to order by the app and not allowed at the bar? Both resorts are in Wales. Would also like to know why when ordering on the app we ask for fruit in t drinks but this does not happen. Why is the bar only half stocked as if you go on the app a lot of drinks are out of stock. White cross bay

The worst place I have ever stayed, the caravan was terrible the settee was broken the same as the pull out bed, we had 1 glass tumbler only 7 plates when there was 8 of us, there wasn’t any knife or cooking utensils, the shower has mould all round the edges, the mattress didn’t fit the bed it was to big which meant no room either side. The site should of had wifi in certain areas for things like ordering food that was a joke no signal. Poor quality food especially for children. The area is clean but just not at all child friendly would not recommend to anyone.

Menu

I do not like the fact that I have to order my meal through a online app, I found it difficult to understand the app and it makes things more difficult than they need to be! Also if my phone is out of battery, I have no data or don’t have a phone that supports apps I am unable to eat here! A menu should be an alternative option!

Maybe we were just unlucky

Staff, blackboards and emails all told us different things about what food would be available, what takeaway were available and varying times in which it was available leaving the kids hungry one night, toast it was.
Nobody on the same page. Could of taken the blackboard down and reduced the confusion.
Never mind. When we did actually get some food the pizzas were actually nice.

Dissapointed

Paid double price to get caravan so expected to at least get our grandson into the entertainment at least 1 night . If the entertainment couldn’t accommodate or at least split the nights between family surnames then we should not be expected to pay £750 for 3 days in a van . Unfortunately 3 nights in a row we arrived at 5pm only to be told place was full again and we wouldn’t be able to get in. Try explaining 3 nights in a row to your crying grandson that there’s nothing you can do . We were promised so much and and we can’t even get one night of entertainment for him
The staff are fantastic can’t do enough for you but I feel for them because they are the ones who are getting the angry customers .
So so dissapointed won’t be back I would loved to say I would for the staff only but to pay £750 and can’t get any entertainment then I’m afraid it’s a no

That each family was offered a night to book if theydidn’t then move to next family but I saw same families coming out everytime

Can’t reserve table

Just know the app works well. You can’t reserve a table however in advance (we were trying to reserve a table on the app and you can’t do it). You just need to make your order, then find a table at the restaurant. Once you’ve got a table with a number, you can complete the order. No probs. Worked well. At the end of the process it tells you the approximate wait time too which is helpful.

Average app

We were only ordering drinks since kitchen closed for covid and a number in our party struggled to use the app as not intuitive enough. e.g. ice, fruit choices that are easily missed and stop you adding drink to order. Have it with fruit and ice included as default and user can toggle to remove fruit or ice. Also too much hitting the back button to add next drink Lastly, you can do a reorder if you want the same round of drinks again but no way to take an old order and just edit it so you have to start from the beginning every time which was very frustrating.

Lovely location

Enjoyed staying at this campsite, open to all age groups, I’m not fussy with the youngsters having their music as we love music too…. However could be nice to split the youngsters to the older generation and families with young children. Also nothing much done to the toilets and shower facilities since I last stayed 26 years ago, no locks on a couple of doors, toilets and showers, and mould and grime everywhere in the mens. Shower doors seem to be rotting in the ladies…. And are the paper maps, that are given to you when you arrive, in date?
Otherwise lovely location and will come back to see the improvements.

Great app worked well for us

No issue with the actual app but wish they would update the available selections better. A few times we ordered only to be told our selections were not available. Once we got a like for like replacement but the other two time we had to be refunded. That’s all fair and well until you need to wait over a week for your cash back.

Great when it worked

Visited Park Dean last year and the app worked great loved it it was brilliant, my mum purchased a van for us this year and can I use the app no, I have spent weeks probably months now since the park opened and we are able to visit a van to get it working I have emailed which gets returned back to me I have spoken to numerous people on the phone I have left a message on Twitter I have Facebook messaged, it means I can’t click and collect I can’t access only services i.e. the discounts and I can’t set an order anything to eat so so far I haven’t purchased anything. Don’t developing up and have no support for it I’d love this sorted but I don’t see it’s going to happen roll on the next 18 years of no spending

What a rubbish app and system!

If I could have given it zero stars I would have! The layout and navigation are none intuitive to say the least. My wife wanted the steak pie, but with fries not mash, but I could find no way to alter the order. To accompany the app it appears that the menu has been reduced. The only thing the app appears to accomplish is to reduce the effort required to serve the customer, instead the customer has to struggle to serve your self. As for a COVID-19 reduction procedure it fails totally. Simply insisting on touch card payment would achieve the same thing as with staff wearing their mask under their chins when they deliver and clear the food makes a nonsense of the whole COVID-19 precautions! I’m going to guess this will stay in force long after COVID-19 has gone, just a cheap way to reduce staffing cost.
Well I will be deleting this app and Parkdean you have lost my revenue stream altogether fir food and drink, till you go back to the old system (Oct 2020) of ordering and then card payment.

Appalling

Grandad has a flip phone and waitress is sat telling him you have to do it through the app, no sweetheart you just don’t want to do work, if I wanted to be a waiter I’d be one not sit fannying about with a daft app doing all the work for the waiters absolutely pathetic. Telling us the till is down so if I was 80 year old with no mobile phone and relied souly on cash with no one with me with me with a smart phone you’d expect me to go from table to table asking someone with a smart phone to order my phone, very very poor and lazy customer service and will be taking this even higher for the blatant laziness from the staff in side the bar area

Click and collect bug

Yesterday used the table service part of the app and it worked. Today click and collect is not working taking money from my bank account several times without confirming a order. Come down to the restaurant to collect and there is no record of the order on the system . Many people here also with problems..order at the bar in the end and hope the £300 refund come through..

Great park but having real trouble with the app to order drinks, lots of people having to wait a long time so giving up.

Infection control issues

Caravan was lovely only one complaint that on day off arrival the toilet seat under neath was covered in urine, had to disinfect before use which being a new caravan only a week old was pretty disgusting!. and also with Covid pandemic you would expect it to be 100% disinfected very disappointed in this. We did watch some off the caravans that were getting cleaned ready for new arrivals and I was quite surprised to see the domestic staff going in to caravans to clean with there own outdoor clothes on, especially now with the Covid pandemic you would think being a very highly respected caravan park throughout the country that they would have there cleaners wearing a uniform apron & gloves, who knows what germs they are bringing from there own Homes this makes me think they have no idea when it comes to infection control. So I would suggest that they take this matter seriously & invest in uniform & ppi for there domestics during these serious times.

ParkDean resort Coopers Beach

The clubhouse and swimming pool have been amazing since we were able to come back on 4th July after the lockdown. The staff are friendly and so helpful. They all go the extra mile to make sure everyone has an amazing experience. We have been so impressed with Anja, Ross and Tillie in the swimming pool. They can’t do enough for everyone and have made the last three months amazing. Luke has done a spectacular job employing the best staff ever.

Make sure your wallet/purse can take the hit!

Excellent job on arrival sorted out in a matter of minutes, found the caravan extremely easy.
But the use of the facilities although free to use to guests I.e pool, arcades which all good, you are charged for getting your own cash out of the atms at £1:85!!!! And there are no others within walking distance, and the food and drink is expensive if you were to consider a night drinking in the entertainment venue/bar.

A Great App But For Food Only, There Should Be An App 4 All

Instead of just being able to order food in this app there should be an app for all.
We arrived at the seaview caravan park yesterday evening and we were too late to buy any park passes but managed to have a look around etc. We read that it were better to do everything via the app such as swimming etc due to anyone wanting to go having to book online as only per booking were allowed. Looking for an app to do this sort of online booking were almost impossible as we had no info in our caravan or any fliers etc which mentioned anything with info regarding how to go about things as there is so much you can do on this site, or so it seems. Other than that this is a good site and will come back

Brilliant!!

Absolutely fantastic approach to ordering food in the current situation, reduces contact with others so keeping everyone safe and socially distanced. I found the app is so easy to use. The only issue I have is you can’t remove items from the order (like no bbq sauce or no tomato etc) if that option was added it would be perfect!! Well done.

Not good

We (party of 8) came here in July, we had a great time although Covid measures were introduced we had a lovely time.
We return 6 weeks later (and Covid is greatly on decline) yet find we can only order drinks through an app, we can’t use the pools at all, as all fully booked beyond our weekends stay.
If it had been like this on our 1st visit we wouldn’t have returned.
Having to use the app, when the place is running with kids playing the 2p machines is ridiculous. My father in law is old school and only ever uses cash and doesn’t have a smart phone.
Being able to book the pool beyond the actual day is confusing. 6 weeks ago it was book on the day.
Today I was told all booked up till 2 days after our visit, yet when we walk past it’s empty.
It doesn’t help that we’ve also been allocated a caravan that was built 30+ years ago, was told how thorough the cleaning is yet found £1.34 in change and various bits of old food and cereal.

Hideous virus breeding ground

Given back a steak after been in kitchen for 10 mins as they Removed the hair and don't do replacements! It had been in the bin as it had a bit of a sauce packet stuck to it and was placed on a dirty side plate , this was obviously due to me questioning why tables were not being cleaned or emptied as I'd waited half hour for someone to clear so we could sit down , Table so dirty but got told jet was coming tomorrow and a spray over with sanitizer is fine even on top of dirt , no social distancing staff are good except one very rude lady who claims to be boss (on further investigation she's team leader for the night ) tables less than a metre away inside and pot luck if they bother to take your contact for track and trace , all this happend after asking if my son with a disability could come passed the que outside to eat his dinner with rest of the family and was told they would stick him a chair out side to sit on !!!! He was humiliated so I waited a bit longer and walked him through to join the table , table numbers are not a thing as numerous family's on big tables , no one seems to like there job and are treated appallingly absolute scummy place

First time at a park dean resort. Best of all it’s in Cornwall! Thoroughly impressed with the service and social distancing in place. Use of the app is incredibly easy and would recommend all places to use an app! Only second day in for me and my partner and we’re having a wonderful time, great get away before we will be bringing our 8 month old newborn here next year! X

Sandford Park

We are in the beautiful lodges at the back of the park the scenery is lovely and the hot tub is fab! Unfortunately the lodge wasn’t that clean on arrival so I have the scrub it again especially the bathrooms! One of the issues is no one is really adhering to social distancing the arcade is full of people (adults) with no masks! We were the only family there that had masks on and it was busy - it was uncomfortable so we left! In the shop this morning again only me and another lady with a mask on. No staff members are checking or challenging people when they walk into internal spaces!

Just downloaded the App and it seems pretty good.

Looks really good but I can’t see a way to order a dash of lemonade for example. So for a wine & lemonade you’d have to buy a large lemonade costing over £2 and waste nearly all of it, as well as making an unused glass dirty - with more for the waiters to carry too. There should be a dash menu, or easier still, a dash provided for free and a comments section to specify that you want a dash and in which drink. :->
