Pictawords is a turn-based game where two players complete the crossword puzzle together and compete for the highest score. It’s a new take on crossword puzzles too - Scandinavian style! - with clues inside the squares and some clues are pictures.

· Each player receives 5 letters at the start of each turn - then you have 60 seconds to place those tiles.

· You get points for placing letters correctly, completing words, playing all 5 letters, and fun bonus points tiles.

· Think carefully about playing certain letters though - as maybe it’s better to save that crucial letter for later!

Pictawords is a unique twist on word games, and fans of crossword puzzles, Scrabble, and Words with Friends - should find themselves at home - and LOVING this new way to play!

I love this game, but lately when some of the the ads come up, after you have watched them there isn’t an ‘x’ to get back to the game and therefore you have to switch off and back on again. By this time you have missed your turn and the the match is conceded by you.

Really great game, very similar to ArrowWord via puzzle books I’ve been doing since a young child, over 25 yrs now. There are many frustrating elements to this game, which sometimes feels like the same is often against you, when you do not have the letters needed. Basically this game makes me feel, the winner is already collected before first letter is placed, this is unknown to each player. Although a great game, the many adverts are very annoying but expected with many phones and iPad app games.

This game is actually really good fun, however for some reason it is set up with clearly fake opponents? The profile pictures look like they have been cut out of magazines, they message to say “Good luck ☺️” then later if you do a good move message “wow you’re really good at this”. If you haven’t been online all day and do a move they are immediately online and ready to play. It’s just a really disappointing thing to do to the real players. I would rather play real players than bots. Plus it’s a bit insulting to your intelligence that the game designers would think this would fool people? Really odd thing to do.

Fab game in the making ... however ...

panther hit the nail on the head re: .bot opponents, how else could a person possibly complete /win 30 “standard” games (gaining a further 50 points in an 8hr period (seriously...!! unless your playing your mate whose sat next to you on the sofa you’ll be lucky to complete 2 a day) Without ever being online, concedes every game/challenge, is 1000 points ahead of the rest ... yet YOU (me) gets 2pts per win if the opponent is 500 points behind you, YOU (me) get ZERO). Then to top it off, I gave game a break for few days cuz I was “busy” and was also fed of waiting for opponents to take their turn AND at spitting point Re: THE Points “utterly load of made up maths unfairness goddleygoop” the darn app (IT comedy team (who I really personally feel are on a wind up mission) Conceded ALL my games in process and penalised /deducted ME 200 points ..... yet .... these who have come from nowhere and are 1000+ points ahead DO NOT get deducted any for actually “conceding (meaning, they know they won’t win against you, so to maintain their ranking and to continue their astronomical RISE (grrrr seriously... because of their lead, and this was explained to me by the Game developers CEO !!.. be getting ZERO points per win and deducted points for not taking up match requests (as their pop up results state ... but it doesn’t actually happen to them) but that’s what ya frustrated m*## lot of us on planet Earth get, whom I may add has been a very passionate player, I would have flown the flag for this game/app but I really do not appreciate being given the big V /taken for a fool ...

When you become a player / fan of this game ... and you will ..... my “rant” will be all very clear

I really do enjoy this game. Some clues are starting to repeat themselves but still fun however, all my opponents seem bot like. All profile pics look like stock photos and they always send a hello message of some kind then that’s it. They don’t message again even when asked a question.

And no matter the time of day I go to play, the opponent is always on ready to play. Even when we’re in different countries. It’s just feels a bit suspicious now. Yet I continue to play.

Love the game and it has great potential but only seems to work well if both players are live. If you have a game with someone and they go offline (green dot by their name goes) then you are waiting for their turn, which never comes! You then have to resign the game - they then appear in your challenges but when you click to accept it says they have resigned and you have won! Trainer games are ok and when I’ve caught someone online also fun but otherwise it needs work to address the online game issue.
